It occurs to me that a lot of the character conflict in Our Flag Means Death, especially between Izzy, Ed, and Stede, boils down to a huge whopping case of 'My Daddy Issues Can Beat Up Your Daddy Issues'.

Izzy Hands is the angriest type of repressed lust in a gay man.

I mean look at this scene, he's trying to mock Lucius for being a prettyboi and tries to be homophobic toward him and Black Pete, but he goes SO overboard with it that I can't help but feel that, for a moment, Izzy accidentally slipped into a different headspace and revealed a very genuine, moaning bottom boy Izzy.

His feigned moans just get way too intense and the way Lucius and Pete look at each other...

No man can accidentally get THAT lewd and not be a lust-tortured begging bottom.
