adult emailing culture is overthinking how polite you sound and forgetting to send the attachments
Highly recommended.
"'Oh, come on, give me a break,' Warren said in response to the lightbulb question, in one of the breakout moments of the night. 'This is exactly what the fossil fuel industry wants us to talk about. ... They want to be able to stir up a lot of controversy around your lightbulbs, around your straws, and around your cheeseburgers, when 70 percent of the pollution, of the carbon that we’re throwing into the air, comes from three industries.'
"As the New York Times noted, the industries Warren homed in on as most directly contributing to carbon pollution were 'the building industry, the electric power industry and the oil industry.
"Warren’s response speaks to how the fossil fuel industry and other corporate giants are eager to shift the framing of subjects like lightbulbs and paper straws, in order to put the focus on consumer choice and deflect from the larger issue of reducing pollution."

do you think Lexa ever wore those skull masks that other Trikru warriors seemed to favor? who’s skull would it be? Full illustration here.
adulthood is carefully writing a two paragraph email that could actually just be reduced completely to “hey, what the fuck”
“lol Android users be like-” your phone is designed to break down after a year, your apps are all programmed to draw unnecessary power after 2 years, all your accessories and hardware are arbitrarily made with only 1 kind of plug in mind so you can’t use them with anything else or get them from anywhere else, the cables are 150$ and break in a year, your phones will not charge if there is lint in the port, the stores will ask you for 150$ to remove that lint, the phone itself is 900$
But your chat bubbles are blue so that balances it out right
My favorite kind of giveaway is a definitely f/f book giveaway.
I’ve decided to do my first ever giveaway featuring some of my favorite fantasy/science fiction books and even some that are coming out this year, or early next that I’m really excited for. Books that feature magic, dragons, warriors, amazing world building. Unexplainable creatures, or creatures from myths and legends. Books that transfer you to whole new universes, and retellings from familiar bedtime stories. The only thing they would have in common? It’s very gay.
Before I talk about the rules, I’m going to list the books that will be in the giveaway. I’ll be shipping anywhere Book Depository ships, so it will be an international giveaway.
The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

Here’s what’s being given away:
Two books from any of the listed books
You have two chances to win. The first will be by reblogging and liking the post. You do not have to be following me. The last chance to enter - send me an ask with a book(s) you love, or a book you’re excited about that’s coming out soon.
I’ll be picking two winners. One from the actual post, the other from the asks. Both winners will receive two of these books on the list. Reblog as many times as you like, but no giveaway blogs allowed.
A winner will be picked with a random number generator on September 14th, 2019. It will close 11:59pm PST. I will be sending out a message to the winners the very next day so make sure your inbox or instant messenger is open. Must be okay with giving out your name and address. Again, I’ll be shipping anywhere Book Depository ships, so it will be international.
No giveaway blogs allowed.
For the ask entry, I’m going to limit it to just three asks. I will be answering them, so you also need to be okay with not being anonymous. Of course, anonymous messages won’t count since I need to see your username.
Instant messaging does not count, but if you have questions I will have it open.
If you win, you will have 48 hours to reply to my message before I pick another winner.
If you are a minor, please ask for your parent’s/guardian's permission before entering. You will have to give me your name and address if you win, and some of these books are adult novels.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
Good luck fellow book lovers.
