these last few days have been interesting to say the least, and the days before hat were also crazy as heck. but today's Friday, I did some stuff, and I'm happy with how today went.

What I Accomplished 🦇

30min trial italki Japanese lesson (loved the teacher so much I booked another lesson right after for the 18th of October)

studied Japanese for 56min today

made japanese flashcards based on the vocabulary from Genki I Chapter 1

studied for the TEAS Exam for 41min (mainly science and english/language stuff)

washed dishes

got a tattoo!!!! my 4th one and I love it

talked to my dad a couple times

ordered pizza + foods and ate wonderfully

Random Stuff For Today 🌿

I dyed my hair red yesterday but the red mainly took to the parts that were already purple BUT my hair looks super cool now

the tattoo hurt a little bit but the artist was totally awesome and I definitely want to go to him for my next tattoo if this one heals well

I ordered way too much today but I have so many leftover for this week that I'm cool with it

I seriously wish I had all the money to purchase like, an italki package of lessons cause ahhh I love my kanguage lessons so much

pretty chill day honestly

I want to challenge myself and do like a week or a month long challenge, but I fear sometimes life may be too unpredictable, which always throws me off. I want to set a routine, i want to accomplish things, and I've been feeling so much guilt for my lack of routines, my lack of productivity, and my lack of effort in the cultivation of my own life. Does anyone have any advice or something motivating for moments like these, where you want to achieve and work towards something yet you wonder if it's at all achievable? I'm in desperate need of some motivation, tips, advice on how to go about things. I feel so thrown off recently. I want to feel like myself again.

you know i had to include the ultimate form of social media. pinterest is one of the only truly peaceful social media apps out there and focuses on sharing photos to your themed boards. this app is everything if you’re into making vision boards, moodboards, beauty, productivity, and really anything else. there’s something there for everyone!

finch

this is a wonderful self-care app, in which you take care of a bird while taking care of yourself! this is my new favorite app. i use the free version and it is adorable. the app asks you some questions about your goals and how you feel about self care, and gives you some daily goals based on your answers, but you can delete and add goals of your own. the more you log in and track your goals, the more adventures your bird can go on and the more they grow. i recommend this app to absolutely everyone and i will never shut up about it.

gymshark training

this is a free training app including many different types and styles of workouts. you can search for workouts based on duration, equipment used, the targeted muscle, and so on. you can also add workouts and plans of your own and track your progress.

i am sober

this is my favorite app for if you have something you want to quit. this isn’t just for substances or alcohol, but can also be used for quitting sugar, skin picking, caffeine, fast food, and so many other things. you can track your progress, review your days, make pledges, and connect with others who are struggling with the same thing you are. you are also given motivational quotes and reminders when you log into the app. there is an option for a subscription, but i use the free version and have had no problems with it at all.

study bunny: focus timer

an adorable focus timer where you gain coins with every goal/time you accomplish something with your focus timer and you can spend your coins on cute little accessories for your bunny! the only real issue with this app is that the ads are kind of crazy, and it’s $15 a month to go ad-free.

flora - green focus

this app includes a pomodoro timer and plants a tree in a rural community based on how often you stay focused using the timer on the app. the app does not plant a tree unless you opt for their subscription, which is $2 per year and allows you to plant one tree for 120 hours of focused time. you can also plant a tree every 24 hours with the $10 plan.

focus to-do: focus timer&tasks

this app combines a pomodoro timer with a daily to-do list. the app is free to use, but includes additional features for those with a subscription, which is $3 for every three months or $9 for a lifetime membership.

balance: meditation & sleep

a great app that includes nightly reviews, meditations, and sleep sounds. this app has great reviews, but it’s worth noting that it’s not completely free. it includes a trial, after which is $12 per month, or $70 per year.

insight timer - meditate & sleep

just as it sounds, this is another great app for meditations, ambient sounds for sleep, and progress tracking. there are tons of free things included in the app, but if you want to unlock everything, the premium plan is $10 per month or $60 per year.

structured - daily planner

an app with great reviews intended to help organize your daily tasks into achievable goals and track your progress. the app has basic features for free, but also includes a premium subscription if you want to unlock all the features.

routineflow: guided routines

this app caters to those who have difficulties staying focused and maintaining a set routine by guiding your routine for you and managing your progress. the app gives you one routine for free, but if you want another, you would need to pay for the $30 annual subscription.

how we feel

a wonderful free journaling app developed by therapists and scientists for logging your emotions, talking to other users, and tracking your mood patterns.

gentler streak fitness tracker

if you’re tired of the constant work and grind mentality, this may be the app for you. this app takes a gentler approach to fitness by tracking exercise, giving encouragement, and notifying you if you are overworking yourself. the app itself is free, but certain features require a subscription, which is $8 per month or $50 per year.

glo | yoga and meditation app

glo is a highly rated app for yoga, pilates, and meditation. unlike most of the other apps listed, you can’t really access much on glo for free. to access the full courses, they offer two plans: $30 per month or $245 per year.

waterllama

another adorable app that lets you track your water intake with a cute llama! super motivating and is free for basic features. if you want to unlock all features, the subscription is $7 per year.

mindllama

made by the same people as waterllama, this app allows you to practice and track your meditation and breathwork practice with a cute llama! like waterllama, the app is free, but some features require a subscription, which varies depending on whether you want the premium plan, the anxiety relief plan, or the sleep focused plan.

daily bean - simplest journal

another super cute app that helps you track your days and moods. the app itself is free, but a premium plan is also offered, which is $20 per year.

schmoody: mood & habit tracker

this app aims to help you through depression, anxiety, and/or adhd by helping you track your habits, talk to other users, and give you the resources to get you back on track. the free version includes the “essentials” to support mental health and well-being, but they also offer a premium version, which unlocks more resources and personalized options. the subscription is $15 per month, $60 per year, or $100 for a lifetime membership.

meditation timer - zenitizer

this is a meditation timer that focuses on simplicity and organization while tracking your meditation practice. a free version is available with a limited amount of content, but a premium version is also offered, which is $3 per month, $20 per year, or a $50 one-time payment.

mineral - gratitude journal

this is a free journaling app that is secure in the fact that you have to use face id in order to access your journal. this app is definitely more simple, but effective nonetheless.

This weekend was rough. My grandma passed away and I found out at the end of a 13 hour work shift, so it made for a difficult night to say the least. But today was a decent day. Got lots of steps and had an overall pretty good day.

My breakfast from yesterday, the amount of time I spent studying Japanese today, and the book I finished reading today! Still need to complete homework, journal, and so my self care night routine, but today's been pretty good <3

cleaned and organized around my room and bathroom

picked up my ulta package from the apartment front desk

applied for a front desk position at a nearby medical wellness center 🤞

read for ~55min, completed the book I was reading, 7/10, it was a good read but way too much happened at the end, felt rushed

first Monday of classes and it was a good day! It was super content packed so I was really tired as of like 2pm, but I managed to finish an assignment, and do some textbook reading and note taking. Didn't do as much as I wanted but I'm glad I did something. I booked a Japanese trial lesson on Italki to motivate myself to start studying Japanese again too!

booked an italki lesson for japanese

requested an appointment with a study abroad advisor regarding summer study opportunities

picked up my new headphones (my old ones broke)

Today started off a little rocky, I was dealing with some conflict but the day ended off pretty good! I want to start back up with my daily check ins now that school is in session, I'm working, and life is back to normal!

I've had 4 of my 5 classes so far (one doesn't start til october) and I definitely have some thoughts on them, so I thought I'd share my first impressions!

Principals of Accounting II:

the professor seems a bit disorganized, nervous, and semi chaotic but I like his energy

so many people in southern attire, I was a bit surprised

might take a decent amount of study time and energy to keep my grade up in the class, but I'm always up for a challenge and I definitely know I'm capable

gotta figure out a time efficient study routine for this class

Learning (Psychology)

professor has an accent, no idea where he's from, but it's a cool and thankfully understandable accent

feels very content heavy. I definitely want to buy the textbook for this class

need to find a way to stay awake, that's one of the classrooms that make me sleepy

that professor likes to talk for sure (1 hour and 15 min of just the syllabus? man's can talk)

Integrated Survey of Organic and Bio Chemistry

the professor is definitely a science guy, him being the professor makes perfect sense

i really like how he explains and teaches

appreciate that all the content needed is already posted to our class online and all the slides are available already

I love science based classes because I know how to succeed in them and this one seems no different

I have a friend in the class so that's nice!

Intro To Business (Online)

lots of content

lots to do

I gotta make sure I time manage for this class cause otherwise, I'm gonna fall behind

an introduction video?? why not just a discussion post?? ahhhhh

Overall, with working full time, this is going to be an incredibly stressful, incredibly busy semester, but I'm so up for the challenge, and I know I can do it. I just gotta study efficiently, time manage properly, and keep disciplined. I WILL be successful.

I'm super excited about my class schedule this semester. As many of you know, I'm double majoring now in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and Finance! (Also double minoring in Psychology and Exercise Science). I love my classes this semester, and I'm so excited to start my 4th year of university!

Integrated Survey of Organic and Biochemistry + Lab - 4 credits

Learning (Psyc) - 3 credits

Intro to Business (Online) - 3 credits

Principles of Accounting II - 3 credits

Financial Literacy (online, mini semester) - 2 credits

My weekly schedule actually looks so beautiful this semester, I'm seriously so so so excited. I was able to structure the schedule so I can work 40 hours a week (haha, expenses, yay!) and still have a complete day of no class/no work and I have the day off of work for my lab too.

I also have the TEAS exam coming up, which will be my entrance exam into the Dietetic program when I pass (manifesting it, wooo!). I'm going to start studying for it by the end of August and I believe the exam is in October? At least the first attempt is. So I'm definitely excited!

Hello!!! With the start of the school year coming soon for me, I decided I'd reintroduce myself, as this is my main blog and I typically use it as a studyblr-type of blog because it helps keep me going towards my goals! Of course i still post about my physical health, mental health, and daily life, but when college/university is in session, my life typically revolves around school!

I am 21 years old, she/her

I am entering my 4th year of college/uni BUT I recently added a 2nd major so I don't graduate for another year/year and a half ish

I am majoring in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, 2nd major in Finance, and a double minor in Psychology and Exercise Science

I love learning so so so much, as you can tell

I study languages in my free time

^ Currently rotating between (Mexican) Spanish, Japanese, and Korean

I love all things health, fitness, and wellness

I love to work out! My favorite ways to work out right now are weight lifting, walking, mat pilates, and yoga! My university offers workout classes for free to full time students so I'll be taking yoga/pilates classes at my campus!

I do work a full-time, on-campus food service job. 40 hours of work a week, and 15 college credit hours this semester 😅

I love to read, write, listen to music, and want to pick up more hobbies such as sewing, dance, crochet, drawing, painting, etc

This account started out as a "wonyoungism" account and slowly turned into my own little safe space where I am free to be myself without fear of judgment. Of course my aesethic is still pink and wonyoungism ish but I do fully plan on turning this into a more studyblr type of account using my own photos once university starts back up! So stay tuned for that little transition!

I did not have the greatest Friday. My workouts caused me some pain and frustration, I was so so tired, and I ended up getting late night eats with my roommate again. I also stressed about finances so hard that i couldn't fall asleep, and once I fell asleep, I kept waking up. Good times.

🩷 What I Accomplished

26 min of a lower body workout (did not enjoy and cut it early cause it was not it for me)

worked an 8.5 hour shift

left work at 2:59 and caught the bus at 3:03 (I ran to catch that bus omg)

wrote down korean vocabulary to study

figured out when to schedule my next italki lessons (just don't have the money to schedule them yet)

canceled a couple of subscriptions that aren't necessities given my financial situation

drank my electrolytes and felt better before my workout

💔 What Could've Gone Better

ate too much and too late at night

the workout was not fun, almost caused me to hurt my lower back, and made me nearly black out in the shower. I had to text my coach about switching up that workout as well as my split cause I was not having a good time with it

didn't take my night medication because I felt so full and stuffed after eating late

stressed so bad about my financial situation that I almost started crying. it's rough out here for me, money wise.

didn't get to video call my boyfriend before bed because it got too late

💗 Stuff For Saturday (July 27th)

work an 8.5 hour shift

study korean

do not workout, let my body rest

maybe do some light stretching or walk on the treadmill tho

video call my boyfriend

maybe do laundry??

make a payment towards my apartment

drink lots of water + my electrolytes

try not to stress so bad

do my night skincare PLEASEEE

Thursday was a meh kinda day. It was a long day, honestly. I ended the day, so so tired. But it wasn't a bad day.

40 min pilates full body workout per health coaching plan

worked an 8.5 hour evening shift

washed laundry

ate decently compared to usual

discovered I can take creatine with myo inositol, which I will do once I'm back home

💔 What Could've Gone Better

didn't study languages like I wanted, but I was tired

didn't get to video call my boyfriend

got paid, but am basically broke because I have necessary payments to make with this money

didn't complete the workout fully due to not eating beforehand, gotta make sure I eat before my workouts

Ahhhh today was such a phenomenal day omg. I had a really good, mostly productive day today and I'm so happy. I still need to work on my eating and nutrition and stop letting my hotel roommate talk me into late night munching, but everything else is going so good.

🩷 What I Accomplished

35 minutes full body strength workout

30 minute treadmill walk (2.5 speed, 3.0 Incline for 19min, 3.0 speed, 3.0 Incline for 11min)

put away all my clean laundry

had a 30 min korean trial lesson on italki (loved it, love the teacher, she's awesome)

planned out my language studies and budget moving forward

booked an appointment to get my nails done once I'm back home in mid August (gonna get medium acrylics, coffin shape with a mocha brown French tip, I'm so excited)

napped for about ~3 hours, i think? I've been really tired recently

did my night time skincare routine for the first time in a week

did my night time gratitude journal, also for the first time in a while

studied Korean for about 75 minutes (not counting the italki lesson!!)

got homework from my italki teacher, super excited to work with her

called my boyfriend this morning

tried an egg, bacon, cheese, potato, and avocado breakfast bowl from a place nearby and it was so yummy and filling

remembered to take my night time meds

emailed my therapist about documentation I need for a financial aid appeal

looked for more Korean and Spanish learning resources

my dad sent me pictures of one of our dogs (a German Shepard that has my whole heart), and she's such a cutie i could cry

💔 What Could've Gone Better

need to write my financial aid appeal letter (too many credit hours, but I'm double majoring so it makes sense???)

didn't wash my laundry, need to do it tomorrow morning

ate too much again. my roommate keeps talking me into late night eating and ughhh, I gotta stop giving in

gotta make better food choices in general, and start logging my food to be more mindful

slept A LOT today, like napped before my italki lesson, napped afterward. I've been so so tired lately and I've no clue why

need to stick to a consistent routine, and prepare myself for my after work workouts for Friday thru Sunday

finish paying back my friend

send money for rent to roommates back home

make a payment towards new apartment

book next Spanish and Korean italki lessons

Saturday was good but bad. Good because work went well, and I realized I'm understanding Korean hangul a bit better now. Bad because I spent more money then I should've and ended up binging on food I bought due to lots of anxiety. Good, but bad.

built a budget for when I return home and work full time

studied some Korean vocabulary and practiced my pronunciation

decided to restart my workout program on Monday

overspent on groceries

had so much anxiety it was actually insane

had a mini argument with my boyfriend at the end of the day

Thursday was....a less than ideal day but not bad! I had a lot of anxiety in the morning about finances and stuff, but ended up having a really good day at work.

Not going to overwhlem myself with stuff since I'll have to do it all once I'm off work and I'm typically tired after work so hopefully all goes well!

Wednesday was an interesting day. I went into town in the morning, tried some new spots, walked around and then came back to the hotel. Fell asleep, and then studied lots of Hangul when I woke up. Tried to work out and had a massive panic attack during said workout, and then I felt better after a while but yeah, weird day.

traveled into town for a bit

tried a cafe (bought an Iced dirty chair latte and a butter croissant, soooo good)

walked around a lot and checked out some stores

tried a burger place (best burger I have ever had, I kid you not)

took a nap

studied Korean Hangul for 65 minutes

Completed 17min of a full body pilates workout (from my coaching plan)

watched part of a movie with my co worker/roommate

felt super cute in my outfit when I went out

ate not healthy majority of the day

panic attack during my workout, still have no idea why

spent more money than I wanted

Today was such a good day despite the little bit of anxiety I felt before I zoomed my boyfriend. I was productive today, more than I've been in a while, and I'm feeling good!

bought some stuff I needed from grocery store

did my morning skincare

took a nice shower and washed my hair

cleaned around the hotel room

washed all dirty dishes in the hotel room

took out all the trash from hotel room

studied ~1.5 chapters of Korean (Hangul) on Busuu

watched Hangul Lesson videos 1-4 on Learn Korean with Billy Go on YouTube + took some notes

decided to purchase Talk to Me in Korean subscription when I get paid this week

watched a short hangul lesson from TTMIK on YouTube

tried a vanilla chobani Greek yogurt drink

tried the classic root beer ollipop probiotic soda

video called my boyfriend for 2.5hours

washed and put away all my laundry

bought electrolyte tablets since I'm working out and sweating more now

massive headache, probably due to dehydration

stomach issues for no reason, definitely not fun

a bit of anxiety, made me cry just a little, don't know what made me anxious

💗 Stuff For Wednesday (July 17th)

complete the pilates full body workout + walk from health coach's plan

drink more water!!

eat as good as I did today

study Korean more to prepare for next Wednesdays trial lesson (still can't believe I booked that as a complete beginner right now, but hey, I love learning and challenging myself)

maybe take a small solo hike?

maybe have a morning video call date with the boyfriend??

look into booking another Spanish Italki lesson with current teacher

plan out a kanguage study schedule that fits my life and time availability

Sunday was a very good day. An early morning work shift ended on a good note, and I ended up going into town with some friends and doing some grocery shopping. Ended the night talking to my boyfriend and slept wonderfully.

37 minutes pilates booty workout (from my health coach and personal coaching plan)

tried a rice cake with pb, Greek yogurt and banana on top and really enjoyed it!

worked an 8.5 hour shift

went on a 27min walk during my lunch break

bought some groceries

listened to Spanish music 80% of the day (passive input)

video called my boyfriend and had a mini date

💔 What Could've Gone Better

had a decent order of McDonald's for dinner and 2 twinkies that my friend bought for me. definitely not in line with my plan but life happens

spent a lot more money then I had planned

got back later than I wanted for my video date with my man

did not do laundry or shower or do skincare or journal

30 min walk per coaching plan

30 min Spanish language lesson in the morning

No update for yesterday and most likely no update for today. I am struggling with a crushing amount of anxiety that's leading to panicked crying, anxiety attacks, and literal paralysis as I find myself unable to think or do anything clearly at the moment.

If anyone has any healthy coping skills or mechanisms for dealing with this level of anxiety, please comment them. I hate this.

Monday was a really good but really tiring day. I was falling asleep on the ride home from work, and I almost fell asleep on video call with my boyfriend. Twas rough. But I managed to stay awake, enjoy my time with him on video, and then fall asleep immediately after!

15 minutes of Spanish study on Busuu (about 3 lessons and a checkpoint quiz)

got some recommendations to aid in my Korean learning

got a response from the Financial aid office at my University about some requirment they had emailed about, and got my worries lessened

talked to my boyfriend on the phone before he went into work

was late to work on accident because they updated the schedule and no one told me

found out they didn't pay me right for my upcoming paycheck and I now have to talk to my boss about fixing my pay and paying me what I've earned and am missing

had a mini fight with my boyfriend because of his mom and some other underlying issues that we're working to resolve

got really anxious in the morning and had to leave the hotel room for fresh air

still haven't done laundry

need to study languages more

💗 Stuff For Tomorrow (Tuesday, July 9th)

appointment over zoom with my psyc doc from home

look at and compare prices of airbnbs and hotels for when my boyfriend comes to visit me once I'm back home

Blurry linterest photos because that's how my head felt all day yesterday. The 6th was not a good day for me. My co worker (a "lead" for our location) made me cry twice, to the point I left work and had a meeting with our manager because I was fed up with it. I don't understand what his problem with me is, but it's whatever.

My roommate up here, who came with me from the same original workplace, is being super weird, too. I thought her and I were going to be good friends out here and have fun doing stuff together, but instead, she's kind of turned her back on me and is spending all her time with a certain group of guys from work which just seems super strange. She had made all these plans with me before we got here and then completely ditched me for guys. But, she is pretty immature and has become someone I don't necessarily want to spend time without her, so maybe it's a blessing in disguise that I'm on my own out here.

Anywho, onto the daily breakdown:

💗 What I Accomplished:

worked an 8.5 hour shift

did my morning skincare and morning journaling

did my night time skincare and journaling

took a ~2ish hour nap after work

studied the Korean alphabet A LOT using the Learn Korean - Hangul app on my iPad and the Write Korean app on my phone. I can tell I'm going to struggle with pronunciation but thats why I have an italki teacher!

didn't spend any money unnecessarily

rode the busses home all on my lonesome

💔 What Could've Gone Better:

work was terrible. I mentioned why in the beginning of this post, but yeah. Work was honestly horrible for me.

Got in an argument over text with my boyfriend right before bed, and we didn't end up video calling

Didn't do laundry

Didn't do much of anything, let alone anything productive, after work

Ate kinda crappy food

did not drink enough water

💗 Stuff For Tomorrow (July 7th)

actually do your laundry

check bank account, see if its worth traveling around the city today or just stay home and be a potato until payday

study Korean some more

talk things out with my boyfriend, hopefully video call tonight
