I want to challenge myself and do like a week or a month long challenge, but I fear sometimes life may be too unpredictable, which always throws me off. I want to set a routine, i want to accomplish things, and I've been feeling so much guilt for my lack of routines, my lack of productivity, and my lack of effort in the cultivation of my own life. Does anyone have any advice or something motivating for moments like these, where you want to achieve and work towards something yet you wonder if it's at all achievable? I'm in desperate need of some motivation, tips, advice on how to go about things. I feel so thrown off recently. I want to feel like myself again.

My brain did not let me study or do much this weekend and it was seriously bugging me, but I'm trying not to beat myself up about it because it was that time of month and lately it has been messing with me hard whenever it's that time of month. Plus, work was really tiring this weekend and I've been a little stressed out about some things.

What I Accomplished (April 6th) ๐Ÿ‘‘

completed and passed a quiz for one of my online classes

worked 9am to 3pm

took a 40 min nap on the couch

worked on my study guide for health psychology for ~10min

chatted with my roommates for a while

Not the most productive day yesterday, but it was not a bad day. I was super tired and anxious yesterday, but I had a decent day regardless.

Yesterday was more productive than I thought it was going to be and I am so happy about it. It was honestly a really good, really tiring day, and I ended the day feeling very confident and very good about things.

I will have certain goals I want to achieve, and the whole goal of this in general, like my desired outcome, is to build some more positive, healthy, productive habits! I'm going to set in place some rules for myself for this challenge!

This is a pretty lofty challenge for me, and there will be some repeat goals (like studying japanese, doing homework, skincare, etc) but this will definitely give me som direction in my days so I'm excited!

I'll upload my first post of the challenge soon after this as I want to start today! I'll start with my goals for today and then upload tonight as mentioned earlier.

May just cave in and buy him and I matching Christmas sweaters to be "that couple" for fun. Speaking of, I can't wait to see my man on Saturday <333 I haven't seen him since early October, so getting to spend a week and 2 holidays with him will be absolutely amazing. Hopefully his mom likes the little gifts I got her.

I have tried out some new products and have found some new personal favorite skincare items for the winter! I figured Iโ€™d update on my current morning and night skincare routines and add in some tips (based on things Iโ€™ve been doing that have been working for me). I am not a dermatologist or professional, these are sino,y my routines and what works for me!

๐Ÿฉท Morning Skincare Routine

Wash my face with Cerave Hydrating Face Wash and cold water

Pat dry with a paper towel

Apply Jumiso Vitamin C Serum

Follow up with Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream

Use sunscreen, Beauty of Joseon Rice + Probiotics SPF 50

thatโ€™s my simple little morning routine! I love it so much more for than my super complicated routine because sometimes itโ€™s nice to just get in and get my skincare done for the morning.

these two things stay the same every night, but the rest differs by night

Oil cleanse on dry skin with Anua Pore Control Cleansing Oil

Follow up with using the B.Lab Matcha Foam Hydrating Cleanser

Monday/Wednesday/Friday - Exfoliating

Use the Cosrx AHA/BHA Toner

Pat in the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence

Use the Torriden Dive In Low Molecule Hyalorounic Serum

Next, I pat in the Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum

I use the Cerave Eye Repair Cream on my under eyes

Lastly, I use the Cosrx All In One Snail Cream

Tuesday/Thursday - Retinal Eye Cream Days

I use the Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner

Next, Iโ€™ll use the Torriden Dive In Low Molecule Hyaluronic Serum

Then Iโ€™ll occasionally use the Skin 1004 Centella Asiรกtica Ampoule serum

Then I Pat a bit of the Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Cream under my eyes

Lastly, I lock it all in with my Etude Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream

Saturday - Basic Day

Iโ€™ll use the Iโ€™m From Rice Toner on this day

Then Iโ€™ll use the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Followed by either the Anua Peach Nicain Serum OR the Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum

Iโ€™ll Pat the Cerave Eye Repair Cream into the under eye area

Then I lock it all in with Etude Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream

Sunday - Full Self Care Day

Before double cleansing, I use the Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Face Mask (I love her)

Then I double cleanse

Then Iโ€™ll use the Anua Toner Pads

Then I use my Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence

Then I use either of my Hyaluronic Serums depending on how I feel

Then Iโ€™ll use the Axis Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum

Cerave Eye Cream of course

Then I use the Cosrx All In One Snail Cream

Every Night -

I pat a little Hyaluronic acid serum into my lips and seal it with Vaseline

a lot of products, yes, but I went crazy and bought a bunch of skincare and now Iโ€™m using it and my skin loves all of it honestly! My skin is not super sensitive so I use everything within reason in a way that wonโ€™t irritate it. For me, I know what works for my skin and what doesnโ€™t, and thatโ€™s been the most helpful thing. Now, for some tips,

๐Ÿฉท Skincare Tips

Apply vitamin C to dry skin! Iโ€™ve heard this helps with absorption and the way the serum works!

Pat face dry, do not rub! Rubbing irritates the skin and pulling on it aggressively like that isnโ€™t good long term

Use clean paper towels! May be a bit wasteful but itโ€™s a lot cleaner then using a face towel that you wash once a week

Apply Hyaluronic Acid to damp skin for better absorption!

Apply all serums to your clean fingers to pat into skin as dragging the droppers across your skin can collect bacteria and what not

Always use sunscreen! I myself sometimes forget or I skip it and thatโ€™s just not good for your skins health long term

drink your water!!! Hydrated skin starts from within, lovelies

Use products that work for your skin type! Avoid fragrances if you have sensitive skin, avoid snail mucin if you have a dust allergy, etc

Cold water in the morning to refresh your skin and wake you up

if I've washed my face + done my skincare the night before, I do not wash my face in the morning. I simply splash with cold water and do my morning routine.

learn your skin type! this will help you determine what products will be beneficial for your skin type and goals. My skin bounces between oily and dry depending on the weather, if I did skincare, if my pillowcases are clean, etc.

don't touch your face, at least not with dirty hands. always make sure your hands are clean before touching your face

don't pop acne! not only with this leave the chance of scarring, but it spreads the bacteria from one pimple to the rest of your face

brush your teeth before doing skincare. when you brush your teeth after, you may rub off the stuff you've applied or mix it in, which is not the best for your skin

those are all the tips I currently use in my everyday life regarding my skin! I hope this was useful!

Friday was a decently good day! I managed to get some stuff done despite extremely fatigue (thank you womanhood), a 6.5 hour class, and crying my eyes out on zoom with my boyfriend (again, thank you womanhood). I hate having a functional female body, but I love being a woman? ughh, the confliction

completed Chapter 9 of Spanish on Busuu

Created an excel spreadsheet to track scholarship applications that I am going to begin working on soon

watched a short YouTube interview in Spanish for some passive/active-ish learning

took a peak at the pdf Spanish textbook I'm going to begin using

read the first chapter of Essentialism (not sure if I'm going to keep reading that for now)

caught up on hand written psyc notes from the last two lectures

created a list of things for my excel spreadsheet for hosting rent options near my campus (I am moving out of my current place soon)

made my brain dump list for the week

planned out my upcoming week loosely

contacted a financial peer mentor from my university for help learning about budgeting and saving better

๐Ÿฉท Good Things That Happened:

my position in my restaurant class barely changed, so I'm happy

met most of my prioritized goals

decorated one of my tracking journals with cute stickers

got confirmation that my friend is taking me to work on Saturday

had a really good day overall

got to zoom call my boyfriend twice

talked to my dad on the phone twice

my grade in one of my classes went up from a 79 to an 83

๐Ÿฉท What Could've Been Better:

my friend and I accidently swapped chem lab notebooks on Thursday so I wasn't able to do my report with the extension

got told I was talking to loud during my restaurant class :(

found that I'm working with a girl I'm not too fond of (due to her controlling and "authoritative" tendencies) for my restaurant class

cried on zoom with my boyfriend because this time of year is hard for me

lots of back pain and low stomach cramping

drank a soda after having a coffee and had waayyy too much energy

didn't drink enough water or eat enough protein/vitamin-richs foods

Saturday is going to be a good day! I am going to make sure I have a good day on Saturday because even if bad things happen, it doesn't mean my day itself was inherently bad. Gotta stay optimistic

Tuesday started out good but by noon it went downhill so so fast. I struggled so hard with some mental and physical health issues, tons of anxiety, and basically stayed in bed for the entire afternoon/evening. But I still got some stuff done in the morning, so here's a mini update on that stuff.

๐Ÿฉท What I Accomplished:

took an hour walk outside

walked over 8.4k steps for the whole day

attempted a morning pilates core workput video (twas not the easiest despite being labeled beginner)

morning journal

practiced makeup despite not owning setting spray or may eye brow products and overall missing some things that would've been helpful (need new concelaor for sure)

drank over 65oz of water

talked with my boyfriend

set up a dinner with my dad for Thursday instead of brunch on Friday <3 so excited, I love my dad

๐Ÿ’ž Good Things That Happened

got the day off work

took a nice nap

had a comforting, cool shower

began watching Gilmore girls (3 episodes in and I already love it)

ordered pasta sauce for Wednesday

looked at possible nail designs if I do get my nails done

I had a rough day. I'm not going to tall about why or what happened, but I seriously am so thankful for the people around me that support me and encourage me, even at my low moments. my dad and my boyfriend are definitely my biggest supports and I love them both so so much. I am so grateful for everything I have, and for the ability to have good days even after having bad ones.

I actually had down time this week which was pretty cool, as I usually don't ever have time to rest without guilt lately. But, today's a new day, I don't have work scheduled today, so I'm going to do a bunch of school work and a few household chores today too.
