Ways to counter negative thoughts during studying? For ex - (mein gareeb mar jaungi) and other stupid stuff

negative thoughts are really demotivating and distracting and i wish id come up with a good mechanism that could help me with them too.

but it’s more or less just understanding the cues to negative thoughts, for example, i get such thoughts when i get questions wrong and it just frustrates me. in an ideal world, it would be possible to replace negative thoughts with positive ones but it isn’t that easy and takes a shi ton of patience and practice.

regardless it’s important to think about the progress rather than thinking of the final result. negative thoughts, burn out, etc are all a part of the process that’ll get us to what we want.

keep track of your achievements and progress, it helps you remember that a single hitch in this long process doesn’t determine your worth or the end result

its never been easy, it wont ever be easy so just do your best. take breaks when you need it, get some fresh air, it helps a lot, personally.

also a personal add on would be to just cry sometimes, it helps me a lot.

I Thought I’d Study More But My Brain Is Gonna Turn To Mush

i thought i’d study more but my brain is gonna turn to mush

i have 12 hour lectures from tomorrow onwards to revise my entire syllabus, i hope i make it through them.

i was supposed to revise what will be done tomorrow but my brain genuienly cannot comprehend any more information and i’m so scared this isn’t enough, looking at my friends preparing.

i’m thinking of getting some good amount of sleep tonight so i can make it through the next 10 days of grinding.

i’m so cooked.

hello, it’s been long~ it’s been a week since neet.

i have another exam tmr but i’m not studying for it cus well- i packed all my stuff anyway and idk, i can’t get myself to study anymore. the burn out is intense- like 2 years of burn out waiting to crash so wellll

i’ve been getting back to my hobbies for now !! more indoor hobbies cuz i still don’t have the energy to step out a lot but we’ve been drawing and reading again - i drew the mandala piece for my mom for mother’s day and the demon slayer piece- well just like that. also started reading bell jar by sylvia plath 🌸

my exam centre tmr is pretty far away and i have to be there by 8 sooo i’ll leave around 6.45-7 ;( (gotta sleep early but we know i wont)

anyway, i think im slowly gonna get back to going out too- for some reason crowds have been overwhelming and i get this random pang of guilt and sadness which makes going out really overstimulating :(( but we’ll get better.

also been reducing the amount of coffee i drink - i only drink one every two days which is a huge huge improvement and does make me sleep quality better but not by a lot. also gives me a lot of headaches :(

changed my desk set up and brought out my laptop so i can edit easier and do a few courses online cus too much free time :( i was thinking of doing this one neuroscience course but let’s see :) i also had to make a new yt account cuz my old one had nothing but neet on it and i was too overwhelmed to unsubscribe so safe choice- used my new mail id 😭 (ive had this mail id for a long time, the yt was on the mail id i had when i was in 7th) so yes okay, enough yapping for now

it’s just been so weirdly lonely lately, like i have people but they aren’t exactly there and it’s so overwhelming to literally even exist. neet coming and boards going on and not being able to sleep until 5 am is genuinely making me feel so hopeless :(

i’ve kinda also started ghosting a lot of my friends and am only in contact with like 1-2 and maybe that’s why i’ve been feeling lonely but it’s just that, they all feel so distant. talking to people makes me feel pathetic.

i’m getting back on track now, i think. ive been recovering from whatever that was from the past few days.

today i studied :

biotechnology 1 : ncert read + 150 questions + pyq

biotechnology 2 : ncert read + 200 questions + pyq

electromagnetic induction : revise + 150 questions + pyq

doesn’t look like a lot but questions do take time for physics and ncert reading for biotechnology was very time consuming and took a lot of brain power 🥲 but regardless, i feel pretty productive. i’m done for the day with finishing EMI pyq. i plan to do some chapters for my bio boards tomorrow along with physics question solving. i did finish physics for my board exams too. i only have one day of break for my bio boards so i need to pay more attention to that now. i have four days of break for my chemistry boards so im not too worried about it, i need to revise all of it once before my boards start though but ive still got quite some time.

the questions i’m doing for neet now, are final and once i’m done with the chapters i most likely won’t be doing questions for them until after boards. i’m hoping to finish all my 12th portions by the time my boards end too or by march end so i can focus on 11th revision and final full syllabus tests in april.

anyway, it’s 2 am and i’m gonna head to bed.
