Dazai's the one who purrs in his sleep and Chuuya's heard it before. The first time he couldn't believe his ears, the second time it was funny because Dazai was passed out and in such a deep sleep. The third time and all the ones after that, it's just plain adorable and in turn helps him fall asleep.

Chuuya doesn't mention how Dazai purrs in his sleep because if he does, Dazai might stop.

Dazai canonically rambling about his loved ones at every possible opportunity is so dear to me.

Mori knew a lot of the things he did about Oda because Dazai told him. Akutagawa also knew about Oda and how important he is to Dazai because of Dazai's ramblings. Random, unnamed PM members know about Oda being very dear to Dazai, because Dazai praises him and talks about how great he is.

Chuuya knew straight away that Dazai had been speaking about him to the ADA. It wasn't something he expressed feeling betrayed or suprised about. It was just an immediate understanding that of all the ways they could probably have known about him and his ability despite it being confidential information in the PM, Dazai's ramblings were most likely the reason.

The way that Dazai speaks about Ranpo to quite literally anyone who will listen. To Fydor, to random cops, to Atsushi.

Dazai gets floor time and Chuuya gets ceiling time. We call that balance.

headcanon that at bar lupin with ango and oda, dazai would often try and pet natsume. every single time natsume would obviously move away so that his ability doesn't deactivate but oda and ango thought it was the funniest thing in the world how the cat seemed to have a distaste to dazai.

safe to say, whenever dazai either found out or realised natsume was that damned cat he was pissed with all the jokes made about him from ango and oda.

or, may i propose dazai is at the bar one time by himself + cat natsume hanging around and he is determined to catch him. he chases the cat all around the bar as it jumps off of the shelves. they make sure to play this game of chase as the bartender isn't looking and as natsume jumps down, he just grazes dazai's finger and falls to the floor in his human form.

dazai isn't always a genius, proof being when he was dumbfounded when a grown man picked himself off of the floor and calmly walked out of the bar. dazai stood there stunned.
