âSir? Took you for more a Daddy type,â Luke smirked. He didnât know just yet how far he could push his luck with the girl, but Luke was interested enough that heâd be entertain the entire time. âAnd if not, Iâm sure Iâve got some poisons to alleviate the stress.â It wasnât a secret that the Hounds party, Luke however was an exception. He was always seen as the Mamaâs Boy or the Designated Driver, no one truly knew what poison Luke used, and he kept it that way, but with Liaâs reputation he knew heâd be in for a treat. It was a brief walk, moving to open any doors for the girl just like his mama taught him. âDonât play any of that Taylor Swift or Lady A crap. I get enough of that with Becky driving to school.â
Her strides falter for only a moment as she took in his words, a simple nod with a smirk on her lips, âPerhaps I like both, whatever you prefer Daddy,â Lia listened to his words, having been to one or two of the hounds parties. Luke either never showing up or disappearing halfway through the night she eventually just stopped looking for him. But that didnât mean her intrigue on him diminished any, if anything only strengthened. âAnd what kind of poisons might that be?â A perfectly kept brow raising at him, her eyes glinting with mischief and curiosity. âI wouldnât dare, Iâm a little insulted you think I would,â

âyeah, you nextâŚ.she needs a cousinââ tori declares as she trails lia to the elevator. thinks back to when they were little girls and had it all planned out, theyâd time their pregnancies perfectly and birth two little miniature versions of themselves to do life side by side, like they have. funny when youâre a kid and think the universe works however you want it to. then you get older and come to realize almost nothing goes to plan. Â
âliaaaaââ she chimes the minute she arrives at the top floor and realizes she wasnât kidding about the dozen or so bags full of goodies for them both, âyou didnât have to! âŚbut iâm so glad you didâ carefully, she places the bassinet down beside her to sift through the selections, never one to turn down a new addition to her wardrobe, especially from the most stylish person she knows. she finds one that she absolutely must try on now, strips out of her current ensemble on the fly to slide the sleek new dress onto her frame. âwhat do we think?â she does a full spin for the other to see before padding over to the mirror to get a look for herself. pulling her abundance of curls to the top of her head, she admires the neckline, and loves it so much she just might keep it on for the rest of the day. their girlish giggles mustâve been too much commotion, because she sees her baby start to open her eyes. âthere she isâ tori grins, taking veronica out of her carrier. â âdid you say hi to auntie lia? she bought you so many cute little outfitsâ she coos, bouncing her on her hip as she grows more awake. sheâs already bigger since their final facetime call before she boarded the plane, close to 7 months and doing more by the day. âyou wanna hold her?â tori offers, holding her out for lia to take. âiâm gonna make all of us dinner, couldnât decide between lemon chicken and quesadillas so i said why not both!â she beams, excited for the collective family time. âthereâs enough for your fancy fiancĂŠ if heâll be joining us anytime soonâ
âAs exciting as that would be, youâll have to talk to the fiancĂŠ about that one. All work and a small amount of play,â thinking about their conversations, always playing home with their baby dolls and having cousins who were practically sisters. Growing up she was lucky to have Tori, and she always wanted to have a little girl to experience the same bond she was able to have her life. Unfortunately the universe was a fickle thing, and rarely let plans stay the way they started.
âWhat kind of cousin would I be if I didnât?â She teased, watching the way Toris face lit up as she approached the bags. A soft smile appearing on Lias face, some of the items being from her own collection or friends that she had gathered over the years. But most of them being random finds she found at various stores, and couldnât help but grab for her. âI think you look amazing and we should get a babysitter ASAP if you know what I mean,â winking with a small laugh, âI may even have a nice necklace you could pair with it, make a whole ensemble tonight,â Her gaze finally pulling from Tori as she heard a few little noises from the floor, watching Tori maneuver her out of the bassinet and balancing her perfectly on her hip. âYouâre gonna be the prettiest little girl in the world, maybe even have a great affinity for wood shop like moze from neds declassified,â she teased for a moment, making grabby hands towards her and taking her from Toris arms. âI still canât believe how big she is, it seems like yesterday I was getting a call from the hospital and a new baby was on the other end,â bouncing Veronica on her hip, spinning around every so often with a large smile, âThat honestly sounds amazing and Iâm thrilled for a home cooked meal, heâs currently at a meeting I believe. And I never know how long those are gonna last, but perhaps he will slip in and visit,â
It was a last minute decision to throw the party, his parents sneaking out just for the night to some hotel downtown. It was a rare occurrence for it to get held somewhere new, let alone the Dallas household. Anyone who I knew the family would agree it was once in a blue moon Dallas managed to get his parents out and keep his sister quiet. His eyes straining to the shorter girl, she intrigued him more than the other girls around the school. The girl who lived just around the corner, seeing her walking down the street with a smile on her face. She wasnât raised in your typical suburban home like most of Degrassi had been, a breath of fresh air for Dallas life one may say.
He watched as the bottle slowed to a stop, having to stop the small smirk that wanted to tug at his lips. Slowly standing from his spot in the circle and holding his hand out for her smaller one. Taking the few steps into the guest room.
âIâm pretty sure they start the timer, and we just enjoy each others presence in whatever form that is,â a light chuckle coming from the male, turning to face her as they spoke.
Vanessa was vibrant. Surrounded by the laughter of her friends as the bottle spun between the group. It was any typical night for Vanessa with one exception Mike Dallas was hosting, and it was his turn for Seven Minutes in Heaven. He was always the cute boy in her biology class, the show off during dodgeball, the dreamy smile that everyone wanted to dance with during Skate Night. The two hovered in similar circles and followed each other on Hastygram, but never had a real conversation face to face. So of course she was surprised once Marie told her that they were invited.Â
Eyes focused on her solo cup, she didnât notice the eyes fixated on her as the bottle stopped on her. Her cheeks flushed red, but she lifted from her stance, following the boy into one of the adjacent rooms to the family room.Â
âSo, do we start the timer or does someone out thereâŚ.?â Vanessa asked, saying something as the door shut behind them.Â

âGuess weâll find out,â he replied, licking his lips. Not that Luke had ay opportunity outside these walls to get to know Lia. For the majority he was either on the ice, on the field, or out. He didnât answer to anyone but himself except when it came to social ties. Being Big Man on campus came with itâs draw backs, mainly not being able to be around those kind of girls. âLucas,â Luke greeted, âBut you can call me Luke, Sweets.â He turned his body so heâd be facing her directly. Her figure a much better view than the drama sets. âYou ditching or just coming in?â
âGuess we will,â her lips pulling into a small smile as she leaned back into the less than soft cushion behind her. they ran in similar circle, the popular crowd more so than anything. Watched a few of the hockey games when tori or vanessa would drag her to them, and she knew he was one of the few stars of the team. and while she also rarely saw him around the after parties, or any of the parties thrown, she still kept an eye out, for what reason she didnt know. âbut Lucas has such a ring to it dont ya think?â shrugging as she caught his gaze, âboth, didnt feel like going to my first class but now im stuck here because I also do not feel like going to the next,â
