We have a family from UP doing "Shiv charcha" today and I can't get enough of it🥰😇

They've called all families in our society who are from UP and everyone's singing bhajans and kirtans in bhojpuri and awadhi. By everyone, I mean, it's all the women. My mother's also there. And hearing it all feels so good. It is because it's quite rare that this kind of event happens. And yeah connecting to the language is an added benefit here.

Does anyone know what a "Shiv charcha" is though?

I was going to compare them to snakes and scorpions. But these terrorists and pakistani muslims are a different breed in themselves. Spineless at times and at times backstabbing. Lower than the creeper-crawlers.

People on Indiablr who are surprised "OMG Pakistan violated the ceasefire I can't believe this😨😨" don't really understand who we are dealing with right now.

This exact same thing happened in previous fights too, exact same statement was given by India after 26/11 that– the next time Pakistan breaks the treaty, it will be accepted as a signal for war.

Since then, more than 15 years have passed, just count the number of times Pakistan attacked India.

People On Indiablr Who Are Surprised "OMG Pakistan Violated The Ceasefire I Can't Believe This😨😨"

That country is a terrorist nation quite to its core. You have to be another level of shameless to openly accept that you've been funding terrorism for the last 30 years. This was such a good opportunity but yea no government ne hath main chudiyan pehen rakhi hain, even after last night's violation, Misri is still ready to negotiate.

Kutte ki dum kabhi seedhi nhi hoti.

Can't talk about any iconic bhakts of Maa Saraswati, but I've never heard a single performance of folk singers in Awadh not have a geet dedicated to Mata Sharda Bhawani. They sing her glories for she is the goddess of art and music.

And Maihar which is in Madhya Pradesh now, is the seat of Sharda Bhawani, and people in huge numbers go there from Awadh to worship her. I've never been there but I really wish to go there one day.

I am

Maybe

A teeny tiny bit salty there aren't like well known iconic Saraswati bhakts

Atleast not any that I know off

There's Mirabai for Krishna and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa for Maa Kali

Like c'mon dude,

I expected atleast a legendary poet or astronomer or mathematician

I'm sure that the ancient universities of India were busttling with Saraswati bhakts

But why didn't they write down any of their stories and lives :(

GURL SAME

Like where did all the Saraswati bhakts go?? Just disappeared into thin air??? 😭😭😭😭

Some or rather most universities were filled with Buddhist ideologies tho so I don't know how many were Saraswati Bhakts bit I'm sure there were some ofcourse

Also another reason could be is because Saraswati wasn't/isn't much worshipped, like in the way Kali, Durga, Vishnu, Shiva, Lakshmi and all are worshipped with temples and elaborate rituals throughout Indian subcontinent...

Like I can maybe name a few temples dedicated to Saraswati and only maybe the eastern side, have a dedicated day to worship her

So yeah... Its sad she doesn't gets the recognition she deserves tho :(

In 2006, the United States signed arms transfer agreements with Pakistan in excess of $3.5 billion, ranking Pakistan first among all arms clients of the United States during that calendar year. The key elements in Pakistan's arms purchases from the United States were 36 F-16C/D Block 50/52 fighter aircraft for $1.4 billion; a variety of missiles and bombs to be utilized on the F-16 C/D fighter aircraft for over $640 million; the purchase of Mid-Life Update Modification Kits to upgrade Pakistan's F-16A/B aircraft for $890 million; and 115 M109A5 155mm Self-propelled howitzers for $52 million. The rise of Pakistan to its new status as a major arms purchaser from the United States is particularly noteworthy given the difficulties the United States has had with Pakistan since the 1970s over its successful effort to produce nuclear weapons. The total value of Pakistan's 2006 arms purchases from the United States nearly matches the total value of all Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program purchases by Pakistan from the United States for the entire period from FY1950-FY2001 (more than $3.6 billion in current dollars). For the period from calendar year 2005 through calendar year 2008, Pakistan has placed orders with the United States for defense articles and services through the FMS program valued at $4.5 billion.1

It's outrageous and absolutely infuriating that the U.S. handed over more than $3.5 billion worth of deadly weapons to Pakistan—a country with a well-documented history of breeding terrorism, destabilizing the region, and violating every notion of peace. How can a nation that claims to fight terrorism fund and arm the very state that has time and again used such weapons against its own neighbors? This isn’t just hypocrisy—it’s a slap in the face to every nation that’s been a victim of Pakistan-sponsored violence. Strategic interests don’t justify empowering a reckless, dangerous state with F-16s and missiles. It’s not diplomacy; it’s feeding the fire. And then the world expects us to stay calm, to show restraint? Enough. Peace cannot survive in a region where one side is constantly armed to the teeth while the other is told to turn the other cheek.

Today Is Makar Sankranti, Sun Enters The Sign Of Capricorn(Makar) Today. And Sun Begins Its Northward

Today is Makar Sankranti, Sun enters the sign of Capricorn(Makar) today. And Sun begins its northward journey called Uttarayan, indicating warmer days are ahead.

In Awadh and Uttar Pradesh, we celebrate Makar Sankranti as Khichdi Parv. We prepare it with freshly harvested rice, adding some urad daal and sesame seeds, along with some seasonal veggies like cauliflower, peas, carrots and pepper.

Join me as I explore more about Awadhi culture, language, and traditions through Awadh ke Maati.

How did you celebrate Makar Sankranti today? Share your stories and let's celebrate together.

I feel like this is heavily plagiarised

Vasantapuja

This puja is mentioned in the Ishanashivagurudeva Paddhati, and is a festival celebrating the spring season along with Damanakotsava , the associated festival of love, dedicated to Kama. In this puja, the season of spring is treated and worshipped as a goddess.

In case anyone is not aware, Vasanta, the god of spring and flowers, is the best friend of Kama (and Rati). He was mentioned to have been born from the sigh of Brahma in the Kalika and Shiva Puranas.

Vasantaradhana is one of the favorites of Shiva. The important part of worship in this festival held during the spring season (Vasantartu) is the Damanaka Puja, wherein Damanaka is an aromatic plant, and special to Kama since it was this plant that turned out to be the object of his Sapamoksha. Siva also blessed Kama, saying that whoever worships him with the Damanaka plant along with Vishnu, Brahma and other Devas will have all their wishes fulfilled. The author further states that those who do not strictly adhere to the Saivite modes of worship as stated above are, in effect, rejecting the basic tenets of Saivagama (traditionally communicated wisdom).

How The Puja Is Carried Out

For the details related to Vasantapuja and Damanakotsava, the author of the Paddhati has relied on 'Svacchandatantra' (official book of Kashmiri Shaivism) and 'SomaSambhupaddhathi' (another manual for Shaivite rituals).

Rites and rituals:

The venue for Vasantapuja has to be a garden that abounds in Damanaka creepers and Asokavrkshas (Ashoka trees). Puja is begun with the invocation and Aradhana of Ganesh in Nirti angle and Guru in Isana.

It is under the shade of an Asokavrksha that Puja takes place. Two pots of sanctified water are placed at the foot of the Asokavrksha. The one on the right side is meant for Vasanta and that on the left for Kama. The presence of their consorts, Kusumavati and Padmavati respectively, have also to be kept in mind. In the middle of the Pujavedi, the Asokavrksha is conceived as Vasanta in the guise of a vibrant youth, golden in complexion, and is to be invoked and offered Gandha-puspa-nivedyantapuja. The nine powers of Vasantartu are Ahladini, Gandhavati, Surabhi, Malini, Madira, Madayanti, Rama, Pushpavati and Vasanti.

Next is the worship of the Damanaka plant, during which the Bhairava form of Siva has to be conceived in mind. Kama has also to be conceived as remaining seated along with his consort Rati on his right thigh and holding Puspasara in his right hand. He is served on all sides by a group of beautiful and shapely maidens. The Saktidevatas of Kama may also be conceived and offered Gandhadhupa-nivedyantapujas. The Gayatrimantra of Kama is also given.

The important feature of the festival on the second day is the collection of the Damanaka plant (the whole plant including the roots) from the garden in a pot, offering of Puja, followed by the ceremonial procession carrying the three pots (Damanaka, Kama and Vasanta) on an elephant in Nagarapradaksina, to the accompaniment of Nrtta-vadyasangita-ghosas. On conclusion of the procession, the pots are placed beside the idol of Shiva after which Homavidhis, Sampatasparsa, Bali, prayer and Archana are performed. The other customary acts like Dakshina and gifts to the priests are also recommended. The Patala concludes with the following observation by the author.

ittham vasantavihitam savasantayagam proktam tadantamiha damanakam hi parva| yadvad vasantatilakam sumanobhiramam tadvanmaunobhisitan phalatiha kaman |

Though this festival is no longer celebrated in Kerala, another festival called Vasanta Panchami, also known as Sri Panchami, is observed religiously, mainly as Saraswati Puja and also as worship of Kama, Rati, Indra, Varuna and Brahma, on a grand scale, especially in Bengal, Punjab and most of North India. The legend also bears close resemblance to that of 'Vasantotsava' described in Isanasivagurudeva-paddhati. Legend has it that on this day Shiva turned Kama into ashes.

The reason why the world doesn't know about all this, is because we don't talk enough about it. It's only on our regional media. We need it out there on global platforms. We slide it under the carpet thinking communal peace will be disturbed, the gap between hindus and muslims will widen. But we don't ask questions. We don't hold them accountable. These acts should have repercussions. Well it's happening now.

And yet half of our population is busy wanting to be "secular" and ignoring the current attacks and the past and the history of India too.

Indian Army neutralises Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists

"Indian government is fascist Hindutva"

Indian Army Neutralises Lashkar-e-Taiba Terrorists

Meanwhile India neutralises notorious Islamist terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Let's see what kind of crimes against humanity have these terrorists committed.

1998 Wandhama massacre where 23 Kashmiri Pandits (Hindus for those who don't know) were murdered

2000 Chittisinghpura massacre where 35 Sikhs were murdered

2000 Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage massacre, where over 100 people were murdered, mostly Hindu pilgrims and 7 Muslim shop keepers.

2002 Kaluchak massacre where eleven army children died in the attack, including a two-month-old girl, after terrorists dressed in counterfeit army uniforms hijacked a tourist bus

2003 Nadimarg massacre where 24 Kashmiri Pandits were murdered. The terrorists had dressed up in counterfeit Indian army uniforms to lure in their victims, promising them safety, before shooting them in execution style. This massacre was referred in the Indian film The Kashmir Files

2005 Delhi bombings, where 60 people were killed, including children, and 527 maimed. The bombings happened when people were preparing for Diwali.

2006 Varanasi bombings, where 37 people were killed and 90 were maimed.

2006 Doda massacre, where 34 unarmed Hindus, mostly shepherds , and even a 3-year-old child, were murdered in the state of Jammu & Kashmir by terrorists who were wearing counterfeit army uniforms.

2008 Mumbai attacks (26/11 attack) where 175 people were massacred and over 300 injured. Terrorist Ajmal Kasab admitted that the Pakistan Army and ISI were behind Lashkar-e-Taiba. The terrorists had come with fake IDs that had Hindu names, and they were wearing Hindus sacred thread in order to blend in. Indian leftist /secularist propagandists were ready to blame Hindutva for the attack but thanks to police officer Tukaram Omble (hutatma) who had caught Kasab alive that terrorists' plan was thwarted.

2017 Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage massacre (AGAIN), where 8 Hindu pilgrims were murdered.

2024 Reasi massacre, where Islamist LeT terrorists opened fire on a passenger bus transporting Hindu pilgrims who were on their way to pray to Goddess Vaishno Devi. Nine pilgrims, including a two-year-old and a 14-year-old were killed and 41 pilgrims were injured.

2025 Pahalgam massacre, where terrorists massacred Hindu men after asking their religion, checking their genitalia and looking at IDs. They left the Hindu women alive to "send message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi".

I 100% support Hindutva. All Islamist Jihadists who are acting innocent and dressing up in an anti-fascist cloak to demand "Free Kashmir", our Hindutva government will send you to Jahannum.
