If only we had the original manuscripts and texts, we'd be able to answer these questions. A lot of things get lost in translation, sadly ofcourse.

Reading is such a journey cz sometimes you know what you're reading and the story has a base but sometimes it's just mahabharat and you can do nothing about it.

literally sat down with clenched teeth and had to calm down myself after I started reading Sambhava Parva.

I've read until Arjun's birth if anyone's wondering

My thoughts until now:

Shakuntala deserved better.

no way you just said that

yes wayy you just said that! Slayyy

Ok so I was cheering on the wrong side apparently

So then Devyani was the earliest sister-zoned lady

Devyani is such a papa ki pari.

Sharmistha— girl— that's not how it's supposed to work and we all know it.

Brother find a therapist— wait did they have therapists back then?

It can't be that bad???

Oh it is sO BAD!— who allowed this?

I have absolutely zero idea if that's how it's supposed to work.

And what about that one time you lied to Devyani sir?mmmmmmmm sus

BHISHMA NO

BHISHMA YES

bhisma wait— what are you TALKING ABOUT!?

Satyavati what shampoo dyu use gurl— snatched an entire king

Me killed Myself kinda situation ngl

Hmmm earliest teenager guy.

oh he dies right

Yeah he died

Who is making these rules ohmygod

BLUER EYES HYPNOTISE TERI—

red heads? back then? is this mahabharat?

no way you just said that

no wait they seriously had blue eyes?

Wait no what

When i asked who was making these rules i didn't expect an answer sir

Oh wait so like this existed!?

I don't know whose side I'm on now so I'll just wait it out until krishna pops up and has arjun kill yall

The amount of things that make no sense whatsoever

Lmao Vikrodara and Duryodhan born on the same day twinsies

Aint no way a child cracked a mountin tho

No wait thats bheem were talking abt

Arjun was born the main character

Im dying

Wait— they mentioned a guy before but his name aint here

Aaaand he pops back here somehow...

Goosebumps!!!

this is very true. there has been a sudden upsurge of spirituality among Indians in the last 5-6 years. As if something ancient is slowly awakening

Bhairava is the foundation on which she stands. So naturally his worship will intensify first. Once he is fully established in this land she will come with her khadga

I just have a feeling they wanted us to put down guards

Pakistan violates ceasefire with India.

Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir.

It hadn’t even been 3 hours since the news of ceasefire and they’re already back at their terrorist activities.

You cannot defend this anymore.

Okay so I don't know which story you're referring to. So I'll just talk about both:

1. The Tridev take birth as Anusuya's sons

So Mata Anusuya was known for her divine powers and her wisdom and knowledge. Her husband was Rishi Atri. The Tridev once decided to test Mata Anusuya. They appear before her under the guise of rishis and ask her to serve them with zero clothes on her because they had taken a vow or something. Now, Anusuya ofcourse couldn't serve them that way, she's a pativrata and sati. So, she with her divine powers turns them into children and serves them food. And at some point during this whole exchange, she realises that they are the Tridev. And she refuses to turn them back in their actual selves. The Tridevi ofcourse had to intervene requesting Mata Anusuya to give them their husbands back. So, Mata Anusuya then asks for a boon that let the Tridev be born to me as sons. And the Tridev and the Tridevi all bless her with this boon. So yeah, that's how Shiv ji was born as Rishi Durvasa, Vishnu ji as Rishi Datt, and Brahma as Chandra.

2. About the siblings pairs

So we know Adi shakti is the primordial goddess in Hinduism (I'm a Shakti worshiper first and so I believe in that, Shaivs and Vaishnavs have their own beliefs). So, this goddess is formless, she's just a huge ball of energy. She divides this energy into 3 parts. Sattva - Maha Saraswati, Rajas - Maha Lakshmi, and Tamas - Maha Kaali. These goddesses then further created 2 beings each. Maha Saraswati - Vishnu and Gauri, Maha Lakshmi - Brahma and Lakshmi, and Maha Kaali - Shiv and Saraswati.

So No One Ever Told Me About Ram Ji Roasting The Moon And Listing It Faults Because It's Just Not As
So No One Ever Told Me About Ram Ji Roasting The Moon And Listing It Faults Because It's Just Not As

So no one ever told me about Ram ji roasting the moon and listing it faults because it's just not as beautiful as Maa Sita after looking at her once in the gardens? No one?

And then he just returned to his Guru like nothing happened? As if he didn't just talk to the moon and insult it?

I generally prefer Valmiki Ramayan but the Balkand in Ramcharitmanas is pure gold.

I saw a post by one of my mutuals talking about dhoti. But I can't find it now. I just wanted to reblog it to say that I've heard many relatives and even my mother call a saree dhoti while talking in awadhi.

Which reminds me of this one very wholesome moment with my (now late) grandmother.

I was 5years old. And like every other summer vacation, we were visiting our grandparents in uttar pradesh. My parents had bought a really simple beautiful saree for my dadi. And the second day of us being there, my parents and I were sitting with my dadi and my parents told her that I had chosen and bought a saree for her (which was a lie but idk why my parents do that to involve me like all the time to show that I do think about all this). And my dadi got so happy saying "अरे हमार भैया हमरे खातिर धोती लाये अहेन? कहाँ बा?" So my mother sent me to go get it, because "i had picked it". But I replied to my mother "but hum toh dhoti laaye hi nahi hai. hum toh saree leke aaye hai dadi ke liye. dadi ko dhoti kyu chahiye? dadi dhoti pehente ha?". My mother replied didn't explain this to me. She just laughed and went with me to bring the saree and we gave it to daadi.

Like I Said They'd Use "misinformation Manufactured Narratives And Manipulation". And Just Look At How

Like I said they'd use "misinformation manufactured narratives and manipulation". And just look at how dedicated they are to this.

I'm glad some of us are doing the right thing by fighting this with truth. Because in the end truth triumphs.

चैती गीत

Let's talk about Chaiti (चैती)

It is a folk song genre sung in Awadhi and Bhojpuri in eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Nepal and neighbouring areas.

Chaiti is specifically sung during the month of चैत्र—or as we call it in Awadhi, चैत—where it gets its name from. The most important aspect of a chaiti for me is the usage of रामा. I have never heard of a chaiti without it.

There are devotional songs—especially sung during राम नवमी and चैत्र नवरात्र. There are songs about the season itself—the koel’s call, the flowers that blossom in spring, and mango trees, the changing weather. And then there are the songs of yearning (बिरहा), sung by a बिरहन, a woman in longing. Why? Because spring is here, but the one she wants to experience it with is not.

Like this one here by the brilliant Girija Devi ji -

Patriotism doesn’t mean blind agreement with everything your country does , agreed. But it also doesn’t mean selectively weaponizing “secularism” to silence the majority, especially when the very identity, safety, and history of that majority is under constant attack. There’s a growing frustration among Hindus, and it’s not without reason. When blood is spilled, when 26 Hindu pilgrims are massacred in cold blood , and the outrage is met not with solidarity, but with lectures on “secularism,” something is deeply wrong.

India is constitutionally a secular state. That means the government must not favor any religion. Yet, time and again, “secularism” has been interpreted not as neutrality, but as appeasement , often at the expense of the Hindu majority. While Hindu festivals are policed, their traditions scrutinized, and their sentiments mocked, religious minorities , particularly Muslims , are portrayed as perpetual victims, even when elements within their community carry out heinous acts of terror.

Let’s look globally, there are OVER 50 officially Islamic countries in the world. Nations where the law is derived from Sharia, where minorities often live under strict regulations, and where the state proudly proclaims its religious identity. No one questions their right to exist, or tells them to “be more secular.” But when Hindus - who have no other homeland but India - ask for their culture, their faith, and their identity to be protected, they’re labelled as fascists, extremists, or worse.

Why is the idea of a Hindu nation so controversial? Pakistan was literally created on the basis of religion. It exists as an Islamic state. And many who defend Pakistan’s actions today fail to acknowledge its history of genocide against Hindus, Sikhs, and other minorities — not just in 1947, but in the decades that followed, through proxy wars, terrorist attacks, and systematic persecution.

If Muslims around the world have Islamic nations where they can freely practice their religion, enforce their laws, and build their communities, why is it “intolerant” for Hindus to want one country where their values, beliefs, and identity are safeguarded?

It’s not about hate. It’s about survival. It's about dignity. It’s about not having to constantly apologize for being Hindu in the only country on earth where Hinduism was born, nurtured, and sustained.

This doesn’t mean non-Hindus should be expelled or oppressed. It means recognizing that India’s civilizational identity is Hindu, and embracing that, with fairness to all, but special protection to none. Equality doesn’t mean erasure. Tolerance doesn’t mean weakness. And secularism doesn’t mean that Hindus must keep shrinking to make room for those who, in too many cases, don't even respect the land they live in.

So no, wanting India to assert its Hindu roots isn’t unpatriotic. It’s self-respect. It’s justice. And frankly, in a world full of religious nations, it's about time Hindus stopped being ashamed of wanting a nation of their own , a homeland where they are not second-class citizens in the name of “secularism,” but proud inheritors of a great civilization.
