Slow Down There | Edward Cullen x Wolf!Reader

Request: Can you do an imagine where the reader is Sam’s sister but she imprints on one of the cullen boys?

Genre: Light Angst, Fluff

All the symptoms were there but Sam refused to accept that his sister was in the process of shifting. You tried to hide it at first, afraid of how your brother and his pack would react. But how else could Sam justify your abnormally high fever, crankiness and isolation. You surely weren’t on your period, it’s been almost two weeks since it first started. 

Leah was the first person Sam went to and she had just scoffed and rolled her eyes at Sam’s stubbornness; now the pack was just waiting for the moment where you would shift, knowing that it would be any day now.

The boys were trying to egg you on so you would transform, and it seemed to be working as Paul was doing an exceptional job at riling you up. 

“Your brother isn’t very happy about his baby sister turning into a wolf Y/N. How does it feel to be an inevitable burden to him? Now he has to worry about your safety too.” Paul taunted with no malice. In all honesty the boys cared a lot about you, seeing you as their little sister too. But they just didn’t know when to stop.

“Shut up Lahote! I’m sick of your shit! I swear I’m gonna fucking bust your face-” Before you could continue your rant you stop abruptly as you felt the searing anger pulsing in your veins start enveloping you until you felt yourself collapse on all fours. Confused, you tried to say something but it came out in a low growl. Looking down you realized your hands had turned into a dark-navy, almost black color, and instead of hands they were wolf paws. 

Looking up you whined as Paul approached you, trying to calm you down. Flattening your ears you whimpered backing away, a cold wave of nervousness swirling in your chest. 

“Woah there Y/N, it’s okay. We’ll help you get through this.” Paul mumbled, trying to approach you. It felt like the boys were closing in on you, all staring and trying to comfort you. It was too overwhelming. 

“Y/N!” You heard Sam’s yell and that seemed to be your snapping point as you let out a howl before running into the woods behind you with a great speed, leaving the yelling boys far behind. Overwhelmed, you didn’t pay attention to where you were going and you jumped over a flowing river without realizing. 

Your ears perked as you heard a rustle, taking in your surroundings for the first time. Looking behind you, you realize you had crossed into the Cullen’s territory. But before you could leave, you’re met by the sound of a few whooshes and the Cullens towering in front of you. 

“And who are you? I haven’t seen you in Sam’s pack before.” You realized it was Carlisle who spoke to you, having met the Cullens before in person. Whimpering you look down, backing away a little. 

As you look up again, you make eye contact with a pair of golden eyes and you realize it’s Edward. It seemed like the world stopped, the wind pausing and the river’s flowing halting. You felt a pull to go closer to the copper-haired Cullen, who’s eyes widened as he realized what just happened. 

You suddenly lay on your belly, whimpering, wanting him to come to you. Before any questions could be answered you hear the sound of paws thundering and faint yelling. 

“Sam’s pack is coming.” Carlisle announced, looking at you cautiously. 

Edward smiled a little, walking towards you, “She’s no threat, it’s just Y/N. And by the looks of it she just transformed for the first time.”

He crouches in front of you as you nuzzle you head into his cold hands. 

“And what exactly is happening right now?” Rosalie asked, confused at her brother’s sudden gestures of affection. 

“She just imprinted on me.” Edward said proudly, cupping your head to look into your large Y/E/C eyes. 

“Oh you’ve got to be kidding me.” You heard someone say in your head. Edward heard it too, turning to see the wolf pack standing tall in front of the boundary line. 

“If you’re done, can you stop manhandling my sister.”

Reading Breaking Dawn (still) and I am LIVING for the Jake and Leah moments. They’re so funny with each other.

Just started reading Breaking Dawn, and all I can say is

I LOVE SETH CLEARWATER!!!!!!

He deserves everything good in this world.

I JUST realized that the Denali clan is called the Denali clan because that is their last name, not because they live in Denali. I have been a fan of Twilight for years and I realized this just now, and I am LIVID because I’m Alaskan and I know personally how stupid it is.

The last name Denali doesn’t even make sense. The national park and the mountain were named Denali because it is a word coming from the Athabaskan language of the Koyukon indigenous peoples of the area. Why would that be Tanya’s last name???

What’s even WORSE is that she’s originally from Slovakia! So it would have made SENSE for her to have a Slovakian or a Russian last name. And if you know ANYTHING about Alaska, you would know that RUSSIAN LAST NAMES ARE SUPER COMMON BECAUSE THEY COLONIZED ALASKA BEFORE THE USA!!!!!!!

Ugh I am irrationally angry about this I just ranted about it to my boyfriend, and he agreed with me even though he hates Twilight.

I also think that he WANTED to do that, but he knew that Bella wouldn’t want that or like that due to her (very justifiable) aversion to marriage, so he did what he did.

i am so in between whether or not i like how edward proposed lmao like on the one hand i refuse to believe edward would not be setting out roses and a romantic dinner before doing so BUT ALSO when it came to the whole "i can't stay away from you anymore" identity crisis he had in twilight it makes perfect sense. while he might have good self-control to not eat bella that is the only place he is not the most impulsive teenager i have ever read

I didn’t know that I sleep talk until I started living in a college dorm with a roommate who enlightened me to the fact that I do, every night.

Not just sleep talk though, I sleep giggle too, and it freaks her the fuck out. All of this to say, I thought of one thing. How much I relate to Bella Swan in that way.

No one can understand the embarrassment of sleep talking except other people who sleep talk. I’m just lucky enough that I usually speak gibberish with an occasional real word thrown in.

Also, how messed up in the head am I that when I found out I sleep talk on the regular, I immediately thought « Oh god. Now I truly understand how Bella cringed when she learned what she said because that’s what I’M doing NOW »

Just watched the twilight extended version plus bonus features and I am…. loving life

Glad to see someone else agree with me, he REPEATEDLY WENT AGAINST WHAT SHE ASKED FOR. Even though she still loved him, she chose Edward from the beginning, and he never respected that choice.

It doesn’t matter what anyone says about Edward, Jacob SA-ed Bella so I’ll never be Team Jacob

Okay, I finished reading New Moon and it’s official: I no longer hate Jacob.

I’m still Team Edward (sorry not sorry) but the book gave me a new insight into Jacob that the movie just lacked. I understand his motivations more thoroughly and I can appreciate that his actions stem from him having a lot going on in his life.

Controversial opinion: Although I do still believe that Edward’s actions are more often done with the pure intention of Bella’s wellbeing at heart and that Jacob’s actions are more often done with more selfish intentions.

Overall though, I can understand those who prefer Jacob, and I honestly think the fact that I don’t find Taylor Lautner attractive (but am VERY attracted to Robert Pattinson) played a larger role than I thought in my initial opinion on Jacob.

I read and watched Twilight for the first time recently and I have some thoughts:

- Why are the Cullens in high school ?? They're like over 100 years old and they're going to school with minors ?? Just so they can stay in town for a few extra years ??

- Did the ppl making the movie notice that the owl statue made Edward look like he has fairy wings ? Was it on purpose ?

- The book would be so much better if Bella wasn't there and it was just about the Cullens hanging out and playing baseball

- Alice x Jasper ? Yeah I don't see it ( she should be with me 😌 )

- So Jessica, Mike and Co. just like invited Bella into their friendship group and they were really nice to her and she just blew them off for a MAN ?! ( Girl what ??) I would have loved to make friends that fast but she doesn't even care

- Edward sparkling in the sun and being all like "this is the skin of a killer, Bella" 💀

- The Cullens were so proud of the dinner they cooked for Bella and she didn't even want it 😭 Invite me over ! I'll eat it !

- Edward just like 🧍‍♂️ watching Bella sleep

- Do the Cullens have to keep updating their drivers licenses, birth certificates etc over and over again ?

- Why do the Cullens keep living the same lives just to fit in ? Why can't y'all just live in a castle or something like normal vampires?

- Why are people arguing over Edward and Jacob when Carlisle is right there?

Overall, the book and film weren't my kind of thing but they were fairly entertaining. Yes there are some parts of twilight I didn't like but I will be reading and watching the sequels at some point :)
