The way people perceive him and treat him rely on NOT knowing who he is. Especially other heros! It is so much more entertaining to see that tension and those misunderstandings, instead of just using, "i have cameras around the city" or "I literately stalked you". It is so much funnier for these highly trainer spies and trackers to just- lose him, at a street corner or something. cameras everywhere except that one blind spot he always disappears from. For some reason all photos of him are blurry and unfocused, and his mask always rips in just the right spot so that you can't actually see his face. It fits with the Parker Luck (tm), because his life would probably be easier if they just figured it out- but they can't, because he's a slippery fast elusive vigilante that never sticks around. Who's actually just incredibly unlucky and late for class. which I think is far more hilarious.
I think its what the MCU made me miss, because in the literal first movie of his, everyone knows his age, identity, friendship, house. HIS villian, knows who he is, and this isn't like, kingpin or Green Gobiln its...THE VULTURE??? LIKE- okay i guess everyone can know about the ONLY character that had a secret identity? every other hero is a world recognized super star at that point, why must you take this one too? Wheres the funny "why do your socks look like that peter?" when he's wearing his suit under a robe, or the frantic pulling away of his backpack whenever someone gets close. We lose so much tension between his friends too, ned already knows, MJ already probably knows, flash is too dumb to figure it out, and other characters either don't matter or care about it, or move away. AUNT MAY knows so those phone calls where he's trying to come up with an excuse while at a bank robbery? literately robbed from us.
When You Assume Wrong

Tony is hiding something.
The Avengers notice the little discrepancies in Tony’s behaviour, and they eventually come to the only conclusion they can think of: Tony is having an affair.
****
(i.e. Tony Stark and May Parker co-parent Peter and somehow the Avengers translate this into him cheating on Pepper)
Why is it when I’m trying to find more cute May Parker x Tony Stark fics on ao3 I get gross shit like this... literally why can some writers help clean up the tag please I’m tired of seeing these
The Difference a Day Makes by Clowns_or_Midgets, snarkymuch
Peter thought he'd hit rock bottom, but maybe it needed to happen so he could find himself again. This is a story of making peace, of trusting those around you, and holding onto threads of hope. The sun will always shine again, even after the darkest of nights and hardest of storms. With Tony beside him, he might just make it through to morning.

"You know, I thought I was losing everything when you told me I was losing my powers, I thought that was the end for me. I couldn't see a life past that. It felt like I was looking at death." He laughed, shaking his head. "I was dead wrong. I was so damn stupid. This ... this is ..."
A sharp pain stabbed Tony in the chest. "This is what dying is like?" Tony put a voice to what he knew the kid was saying, though it hurt to do.
the Continued Awkwardness of being an official "Non-Avenger" Avenger by Anti_Social_Headphones_Kid
Spidey's gotten closer to the Avengers ever since they've returned, and everything seems to be going smooth- his identity is still safe, and he's friends with the Avengers- it couldn't get any better then that, right?
The Avengers on the other hand, have started to love having the Spider around- but their opinions on his identity are getting confusing, to say the least

WARNING SPIDERMAN NO WAY HOME SPOILER!!
Hey, this’s a little random, but I’m rewatching LOKI and had a thought. What could Mobius have possibly done to become a Variant? Single dad of two boys who sold rec vehicles?
But then, I started thinking about his character. How patient, but firm he is. His good advice and who his wife might’ve been, right? He lived in the suburbs with his boys and based on his age (we’ll say roughly 40 something?)
And who else is around that age, living alone with a boy in need of a paternal figure?
What if his wife was May Parker? What if Mobius is a variant of Uncle Ben, if he and May had been able to have kids of their own and left New York to raise their boys in the burbs before Peter Parker was orphaned? Too far to be able to take him or maybe May died shortly before and he didn’t think he could handle a 3rd kid…?
That’s certainly something that would’ve broken the “canon,” especially if moving away inadvertently caused May to die somehow (ex: car accident or something), right? Great advice, positive teaching style, quick to bond with tricky/witty vigilante types?
This’s probably been done a hundred times already on this site, but it’s just a thought I had.
Just picturing something like:
Ben getting the call that his brother and sister-in-law are dead. He’s had to make the hardest decision of his life, but for the good of his boys and Peter, he thinks he made the right one. He’s not a rich man. The house already has two mortgages, the dealership is barely getting by as it is. Looks down at his wedding ring on a chain around his neck, thinking there was no possible way he could do it on his own and then? He sets the phone back on the hook and there’s TVA agents in his living room. Placing a reset charge on his coffee table and demanding he come with them for judgement.
For costing his universe the creation of an anchor being, like Spider-Man.
Also, could you imagine Loki trying to help Mobius save a version of his universe by raising Peter Parker together in a universe where both Ben and May died (like how Miguel tried to replace Gaby’s dad, except actually helpful?) Showing up to PTA meetings, just Ben Parker and his new very tall, elegantly goth, vaguely European husband?
Loki becomes PTA President, of course. Makes his own presidential sash. Mobius gets way too hyped about bake sales/food drives/blood drives/toys for tots. Loki judging the science fair. Showing up to debate club contests to cheer way too loud. Both of them having to act surprised when Peter starts sneaking in late until it finally comes out and they have to be like “Ooooh, nooo! We’re floored! Totally stunned! Hoooowww could we have missed this?!”
Then, Loki helps him make a real suit, because “no child of his is going be a vigilante AND a fashion disaster.”
Loki eventually coming out as a Frost Giant to make Peter feel less like a freak in some teary-eyed heart to heart about how difficult it is to let “normal” people close to them.
Just saving the world by being embarrassing, loving father figures together in the sort of open, honest family that Loki’s always wanted (cue his angst about immortality).
oh,,, I do have a heart???this is so sweet what the heck
peter buys three sets of flowers on may 10th
first, he stops by the flower shop and gets a bouquet of lilies and roses. it’s early enough that there are still red roses left (thank god) and the shop owner takes his money with a smile.
“for your mom?” he asks, and peter nods.
he is happy, but a quiet happy. he smiles, thanks the man, and heads off.
he spends an hour at the cemetery hidden in the middle of queens.
the city is loud, but the cemetery has a sorta sanctuary feel to it, quiet and calm.
peter talks softly to a grave stone for a while. he addresses the two next to it for a little bit, but mostly talks to the one. he leaves the flowers in a vase, taking the dead ones that were there before.
he walks back into the flower shop only an hour and a half after the first time, and this time the shop owner is busy and doesn’t really acknowledge him, as he buys a bouquet of “alstroemerias and whatever would look good with them”.
the shop owner only realizes who it is and looks up to see peter get into a sleek black car, holding the flowers and grinning.
peter heads straight for peppers office when he gets to the tower, but with each step he looks more and more nervous.
her assistant, a nice lady named brenda who has her own little bouquet of flowers on her desk and looks a little too joyous for someone working on a sunday, alerts pepper that peter is there, and pepper ushers him into her office.
“what’s up, kid? can i help you with something?”
she sits behind her desk, and peter sits in one of the guest chairs. he is gripping the bouquet nervously, eyeing the bouquet already on her desk.
“i, uh...”
pepper waits with a smile as he finds his words.
“i got these for you.”
he holds them out, harshly, as if scared.
pepper hides her surprise, and thanks him quickly, taking them with a grin.
“they are beautiful.”
“just...”
peter looks at his lap.
“i know i’m not, like, your kid or anything. but tony, he, uh, he calls me his kid, and you’ve done so much for me, and i thought, i dunno i thought you would like them. just, as a thank you. for everything.”
pepper beams, and sniffs one
“they are gorgeous, peter. thank you so much.”
he stands to leave, and as he does pepper calls him back
“i consider you my kid, as well, peter.”
it’s peter’s turn to beam.
“tell your aunt i will be calling her soon about getting lunch in a couple days, yeah?”
peter nodded and fled the office, with a grin to brenda.
the same black car dropped him off in front of the store again once it was getting darker.
the shop owner could only hear “it’s fine, happy. no, don’t wait, my apartment is like two blocks. go home. see you tomorrow” before the car drove away and the kid came in.
“third time today, kid? how many mothers do you have?”
peter just smiled.
“do you have any orchids?”
the shop owner wraps the best ones he can find in the store, and shakes his head when peter tries to hand him the money.
when may would arrive home to their apartment an hour later, yawning from her work shift, she would walk in to see the sight of peter cooking while watching some crime television show, orchids on the counter in a vase.
she kisses his forehead once she sheds her coat, and peter quickly hugs her, tight.
“happy mother’s day, may.”
THE PETER TINGLE
↳ Spider-Man: Far From Home || Spider-Man: No Way Home
So this is something I noticed.
In Spider Man Far From Home, Aunt May works at a homeless shelter for those who lost their homes due to them being gone via the blip.
In the game, Aunt May is doing the same with boss or coworker (I can’t remember at the moment) Martin Li, who later turns out to be the villain Mister Negative.
So here is my theory, what if the MARVEL is going to introduce Martin Li into the MCU to, later on, become Mister Negative and face either Peter or another hero.
