if i was actively seeking excruciating mental pain and a lot of snotty crying in theaters, i would have recommended they make stephen, while making the spell for people to forget peter, have an unusual bout of uncertain and stilted speech and say something along the lines of "he didn't make me promise to--but tony would have--wanted me to keep you... he wouldn't have wanted..." and for peter to smile bitterly and shrug a little and say "well. tony--i guess it doesn't really matter any more." everything else can stay and everything else goes as it does in canon.
but of course i am not actively seeking any more excruciating mental pain and snotty sobbing than the movie already gifted me
So, Iron Dad fans, what if... this isn't really cut? I mean, we didn't see when they separated, what if, before they separated but after the cut of scene we saw in Endgame this really happened, and what if we see the whole scene at the start of Far From Home?

I want a Marvel fanfic of Peter Doing really mundane or domestic things with each of the avengers. Like getting breakfast with Natasha & Wanda, going grocery shopping Steve, working with Tony and Bruce. Just.. that. All the avengers somewhat adopt Peter, and that’s the fic!
I NEED HELP FINDING A FIC!!! it was a mcu peter parker centric one, were he was trapped in the soul stone world but he was alone in it, and he was going kinda crazy. there were like hallucination monsters and ge imagined tony and mays floating heads in one scene?? i remember their being a scene when he gets back were he bites someone (either tony or steve) and tony was freaking out. i lost it before i got to finish it and i read it so long ago that i dont remember a thing about the title or who wrote it 😭😭

Tony accidentally got hurt and tries to hide it but then it gets worse. When the team finds they give him death glares, scolding and doesn't let him get of the bed.
And when his son, Peter, finds out. He drops everything and ran from school to Tony forgetting he could use his powers. When he gets there, he glares at all the avengers because they couldn't take care his dad

And Tony just stays there wondering why everyone is being protective

First up we got the classic irondad/spiderson dynamic. ICONIC. Can have you punching wholes in the walls with the amount of FEELS and FLUFF and, of course, ANGST. 10/10, great way to get started. BUT. We’ve barely even scratched the surface.
My other personal favourite: Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil adopts Peter. Bonus points if it’s after No Way Home, the emotional hurt/comfort potential is IMMENSE. I just. I love that shit. I eat it up every time. GIMME!!!
Next up, one I did not think would work, but it ABSOLUTELY DOES: Bucky Barnes adopts Peter. Currently reading a fic called Anatomy In Reverse by pansley on ao3, and lemme tell ya im OBSESSED. I did not think there was potential there, BUT BOY WAS I WRONG. (Lovely fic, would 100% recommend it btw)
Oh and did you think Peters adoptableness only reached until the confinements of the MCU? THINK AGAIN. Cuz the Batfam is NOT ABOVE ADDING SPIDERS TO THE BATS AND BIRDS!! You think Batman has an adoption problem, you’ve clearly never seen the amount of fics of Nightwing adopting Peter. (I guess it runs in the family. Also, Dark Matter anyone??)
And these are just the ones I’ve come across! It’s like if you feel like writing parent-child dynamics in the mcu - or even outside of it, jesus! - you just get yourself a ready-to-adopt Peter Parker, maybe kill of some more of his parental figures i guess, and boom! You got yourself an adoptee!
