summary: in which steve and friends have one of their regular visits with tony and friends so that the reader and peter can see each other, this time things go unexpected…

story line: part one part two part three
IT AMAZED YOU at how you and Peter were the main reason why the team was starting to slowly get closer after the events of Civil War.
You, being Steve’s adoptive daughter. Peter, being Tony’s adoptive son. With this, you and Peter always had a thing for each other and of course the adults only wanted to see you both happy and have a normal teenage life. So, they managed to arrange times where you were able to see each other without the government being involved. You both were still teens, you didn’t need the stress of the government trying to separate you two.
This was one of the times where the team got together without telling the government of Cap’s crew paying a visit. You walked down the ramp from the quin-jet. Steve and Bucky was by your side as Sam, Wanda, and Vision were behind you three. You saw Peter standing next to Tony with Bruce and Natasha.
You and Peter smiled at each other and ran over to give each other the biggest hug. The adults smiled down at the teens. Young love was one of their biggest possessions they made sure to not mess with. They kept this close to them.
Tony and Steve looked at each other and gave a nod in acknowledgment. You and Peter quickly ran away and did your own thing while the adults began to talk about how to fix the mess that happened during their fight.
Bucky gave Steve a look before making his way toward Bruce. They both exchanged a few words quietly before making their way inside the building. Tony gave Steve a questionable look.
“He needed some adjustments on his arm.” Steve shrugged, “We don’t have your technology out there.”
“If he destroys something…-” Tony began.
“Don’t worry Tony,” Steve sighed. “Bucky means no harm.”
The tension of the room fell just slightly as Tony sighed and nodded. He was still hurt by everything that happened a few months ago. Soon, everyone went inside to do their own thing.
You and Peter hung out in Peter’s guest room in the Avengers facility. The two of you were laying on the couch as the television played a movie in the background. The two of you were too busy thinking of what to say to pay attention to the film.
“It’s been such a long time…” You heard yourself speak.
Peter sighed, “Two months.”
You looked up at him with a pained smile, “I know this is not the relationship you want but you know I’ll always be with Cap.”
Peter nodded, “And I’ll always be with Tony.”
You both were silent for a moment, trying to take in each others presence. You laid on Peter’s chest as you thought about everything that’s been happening. You and Cap’s team has been on the run. You all never had a break from the government, always hiding and doing anything to not get caught.
“But it’s okay,” Peter started. “They’re figuring stuff out. I heard Tony saying something about bringing you guys in to stay here while they deal with the government.”
You didn’t reply, you just needed to keep your mind off of those things. Steve always told you to never stress about it. ‘Just be ready for war if it comes to it,’ Steve always said to you whenever you started to worry about things involving the government.
Suddenly the red lights flashed all over the building alerting you and Peter. You both stood up quickly and stared at each other then ran towards the screaming and crashes.
Just as you and Peter ran around the corner on the 4th floor you noticed Bucky fighting the soldiers who were attacking him. Peter quickly grabbed your arm and pulled you back behind the wall before you both were seen.
“Do you think?…” Peter trailed off, hoping it wasn’t what he thought it was.
You nodded, “The Winter Soldier is back.”

For me, this is Clint Barton.
I have read the fics where he is Tony's brother, where he is Bruce's son, Steve's relative, Bucky's son, Nat and Bucky's son, Furry's son, where he is secretly like 12 (exaggeration). I eat that shit up. And the Avenger kid fics where they are Clint centric, and he's the youngest like dude ahhhhhhhh.
