Thanks! ^^ When I read your first question I thought you’re asking about real cuddles :’) Anyway, this is how I go about it, sometimes I alredy have a pose in mind, but then it’s just trying until I get it right. Sometimes I use references. But this technique is really relaxing, I love to draw this way :D Hope it helps!
Did a total revamp of Teru and changed up his back story. He still likes to felt animals though! Also, I just got an iPad which means TIME LAPSES YEEAAH. Takes way less steps than when I do it on my desktop.

All of it is pretty basic stuff, no secret ingredients in there, still, i hope the way it’s put together is somehow comprehensible.

HOW THE SAUSAGE IS MADE Sketchbook and ancillary pieces of paper Scanned images arranged in a workable grid in PS Printed-out rough draft, drawn over/refined (this is usually where I mess with the word placement). I draw it 7″x7″. Lettering (I almost always do this separate) Final art on tracing paper, w pens used (a Micron and a PaperMate Flair) The final product after combining and coloring it in PS
Thought about doing a very simple step by step since I had some WIP pics laying around ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Most of the time I start working on a drawing by laying down simple shadows and highlights in black & white - it’s one of the easiest ways to see how they affect the scene (and my favorite too). I don’t like worrying about too many things at once, so taking little steps is very helpful to avoid ruining the whole image at the very beginning~ commissions | instagram - deviantart - twitter - paigeeworld - facebook

Ey yo!! Kathy, do you have tips to learn to draw faster? I know artists have a unique pace but it's pretty embarrasing that it takes me a week to draw something small n simple.. I want to be a cool artist that posts at least once every 2 or 3 days ;;
as you practice drawing more, and learn more art stuff (like anatomy, composition, gestures, coloring, shading, etc), you’ll get faster since you won’t spend as much time on every single step. eventually, you’ll figure out what works and what doesn’t, and you’ll be able to use that knowledge with future drawings. tbh i’ve always been a pretty fast sketcher, but i guess something that i always do is that i keep my sketches extremely vague and loose looking, and i finalize and draw in details along the way. my final drawings sometimes change really drastically from my initial sketches, but that’s because i’m not afraid to adjust my drawings as i line more. here’s an example of my progress to give an idea of how i draw
also goals are always something you’ve just gotta work up to! everyone has their own pace with drawing, and their own pace with learning. it’s hard not to compare yourself with everyone around you, but you just gotta do you, you feel me?

So I sketched this art out on a sticky note weeks ago i originally wanted to paint it on canvas and still plan too but wanted to make a 1st attempt online....... I wish my realism with people was better tho... I wanted to turn the word "Bed Rot" into a more literal sense but you can only see the decay through the covers as the aspect of looking normal out of the covers expressing the idea that no matter how normal some one may look on the outside you never know what is going on in the inside... at least this is my redirection of it
