A Thought: Jaune And Cinder End Up Having Another Throwdown, Neo Sees Jaune Getting Some Hits In And

I mean, presumably Tai signed off on Ruby going early, Karen Glass or whatever her fanon name is would never give Cinder legal permission do do anything.

It’s one of those things we’ve never really heard about, and no one ever seems to ask, but this might actually tell us that the Age of Majority is 17 on Remnant.

Emancipation probably would go about as well as calling the cops would, Karen is rich enough to block any attempts, and vindictive enough for Cinder to not risk it.

The chain of events Rhodes was likely going for here would be:

Train Cinder until she’s a legal adult.

They are all seated in the auditorium as the newly appointed Headmistress Goodwitch takes the podium.*

She goes back to her distancing again. Jaune gets the worst of it. This goes on for a bit as he attempts to figure out what happened. Sometime later in a battle, Neo is too eager for a fight, and it leads to Jaune getting knocked out of it. For the first time in a long while, Neo’s heart jumps out of fear. It’s at that moment she realizes what Jaune was trying to convince her. When the fight is clear and over with she stays by him until he’s better.
