I feel like Sirius drinks fruity cocktails while Regulus drinks wine. They both like to act like classy motherfuckers when drinking. All their friends have seen them sloshed out of their minds at some point so none of them take them too seriously.
And when theyâre drunk Sirius will turn to anyone and start screaming, âI love you so much youâre so pretty, not as pretty as Moony but no one can be as pretty as Moony. Heâs my boyfriend by the way, you HAVE to meet him. Whereâd you get your shirt? Can I try it on? Yes right now. OH HI JAMES!!!!!â
Regulus just sits in the corner giggling the whole time. When he sees James (and/or Barty if you like) he just openly stares at them. Like, wide eyed, open mouthed, hands holding his cheeks staring.
Plus heâs a pure blood so you know Voldyâs all over that shit
Personally? I love the idea of Voldemort starting to see Regulus as a bit of a threat even without knowing he's onto the Horcruxes. Like, they're a little too similar. Regulus is just as handsome and charming and charismatic and smart as Tom Riddle was at that age, and he's also the wealthy well-connected pureblood heir Tom pretended to be. He's like Voldemort-plus. And that could become a problem.
That moment you realize that the marauders era characters were those kids who everyone thought were going places, only to peak too early in high school.
Imagine being forced to become the kids who peaked in high school. đ
So Iâve been thinking
Quidditch car wash fundraiser
I donât know why they would ever need the money or why they would wash muggle technology for it. But just ignore that.
The school would never allow them to be sexy because they are c h i l d r e n, but you know James and Sirius would be constantly wiping their brows with their shirts just to show off their abs.
Remus and Peter would handle the money but then Sirius and James would convince them to participate too. (Sirius just wanted to see Remusâ muscles at work)
All the house teams would have to do it which causes a lot of problems. They would constantly be spraying water at each other, throwing rags and sponges, fighting over the music, and too many people would end up with soap in their eyes.
All the pure bloods (regulus) would be terrified of touching a muggle device thatâs âsure to explode at any momentâ. Regulus would end up getting put on money duty. Since he doesnât know how muggle money works people severely under pay. He was also incredibly distracted by the show the practically shirtless James was putting on.
The minute the last car was washed James and Sirius would take off their shirts just to show off. Remus and Regulus had a cardiac arrest at that point.
It would pretty much just be a shit show and they would never raise enough money. And everyone got to watch them all waddle back into the castle soaked head to toe looking like drowned rats.
Regulus black and tattoos (sad regulus times)
I think that if Regulus ran away from the death eaters he would keep the mark for a very long time. He wanted to remind himself that he isnât a good person now just because he no longer hurts people.
He would stare at it for hours and remember all the damage heâs done, all the people he killed, all the families heâs ruined, all the torture he witnessed with a straight face. Then, once the guilt has reached its peak, he gets up and he does anything to help. He would leak information to Dumbledore about the death eaters, he would clean up demolished buildings after an attack, obliviate any muggles who saw, anything to make that guilt worth something.
When the war ends (just pretend it ended for normal reasons, not because of Lily, and theyâre all fine) he finally covers it up (in a muggle shop of course). He replaces the mark with a bouquet of flowers. Mainly made up of lavender and amaranths. Heâs never really been fond of flowers but he needed life to cover up the symbol of death.
He would lay these flowers over the graves of the victims. He wanted them to find peace, to have immortality in the afterlife to counteract the short life they lived. Both death eaters and muggle-borns. Some he knew, many he didnât.
This was where Sirius found him. Kneeling over Marleneâs grave(sorry I needed a reason for him to be here), he points his wand to Regulusâ head, ready to kill his last death eater. Regulus doesnât look up and says, âDonât kill me yet, I havenât finished.â Sirius realizes he was organizing the bouquet of flowers to decorate the grave, he looked around and saw half the graves covered in purple and pink flower arrangements.
Sirius helps him finish. He asks Regulus what happened to him, the last thing Sirius knew was that he had died. Regulus tells him everything, not looking for forgiveness, just wanting to answer the question. They walk to Sirius and Remusâ flat together. They part ways a few blocks away, Sirius not giving Regulus his address, even though Voldemort has been dead for months. They decide to not see each other again, both knowing their lives would only get worse if the other was in it.
Regulus gets his next tattoo that night. He gets the black crest, but instead of a crow in the center, thereâs a big, shaggy black dog. (You think he DIDNâT know they were anamagi, come on.)
From then on it was like something broke free. He got tattoos covering his entire body, not wanting to feel so empty. He figures that if he can tattoo the things he used to love on his body, keep them on him at all times, then maybe he can love them again.
My thoughts EXACTLY. The perfect post.
I believe that the reason why so many people like Regulus Black is because he is a blank slate. like we barely know anything about him other than the fact that he was a seeker, Siriusâs younger brother, a death eater at age sixteen, in a good relationship with a house elf and died around the age of seventeen or eighteen. another thing is that writing him is so interesting because of his circumstances, like boy grew up in a blood supremacist household, had Sirius Black as his older brother, Walburga Black and Orion Black as parents, was friends with Kreacher. There are just so many possibilities on what kind of person he could have been. He could have been a blood purist until he realized that muggle-borns are just as good at magic as purebloods. Or he didnât believe his parent from the start but kept quiet because someone had to keep the peace in this shit hole of a house and it sure as hell wasnât Sirius or Walburga. he could have been a very nice boy and a goody-two-shoes who tried to please everyone. or he could have been a ruthless young man who was tired at the unfairness of the world, bitter towards his older brother who left him to rot with his crazy mother and distant father. he could have been an animagus. knew Remus was a werewolf. friends with halfbloods or even muggleborns. maybe he was bisexual or demisexual or asexual. he could have been in love with James Potter. best friends with Barty. there are just so many headcanons and possibilities with Regulus because he is a blank canvas for us waiting to be brought to life and we can project ourselves on him and mold him to our liking and hoe we see fit. and this is why I think regulus is such an interesting character even though we know so little about him.
Pt. 2 to my rockstar regulus hc
Sirius and the rest of the marauders start spreading rumors or telling really embarrassing stories of Regulus when he was younger.
They would tell anyone they met about Regulus being able to catch a pigeon with his bare hands and doing it on several occasions. How he once bodied a stranger after they said his earrings were gay. How he set a trash can on fire. How heâs actually bald and just wears a wig all the time.
Sirius even found a way to get an interview for a magazine as an âAccount on the newest star Regulus Black from his very own brotherâ. He said the most insane things but with so much conviction they all believed him.
Things got so out of hand that when Reg was in the middle of an interview the interviewer asks, âit is true you were once so in love with your brothers best friend, you sent him a love letter a day for a month?â
Reg just sits there for a minute, fazed by this super random question. Then he looks directly into the camera and goes, âSirius Iâm gonna cut all your hair offâ and walks out.
Sirius cackled when he saw it.
Whoever originally thought of peanut butter and jelly going together must have been considered the psychopath of their time. Baller mix, glad you thought of it, but what the fuck were you thinking?
If you think of Regulus like that then thatâs fine. No one is telling you you canât. Some people just think of Regulus differently because we have so little to work with that we can interpret them in different ways.
I personally think that Regulus was emotionally manipulated and abused by his parents, some people think he was put on a pedestal by his parents.
Thatâs whatâs so fun about these characters: there isnât really a right or wrong. Donât get mad at people who want to make Regulus more than a plot device, I assure you we can all exist peacefully with different opinions.
Honestly, the real reason why I love/really like Regulus Black is because I WANT him to be this super badass, dark, snarky, sexy, mysterious asshole who doesnât give a fuck about anyone. Sure, Iâll hate him as a person but Iâll love him as a character. I usually love the villains way more than the heroes, like, I find myself wanting grey characters to be more evil.
Sadly, his fans have made it REALLY hard for me to like him, they turn him into this poor, abused sweetheart who was secretly in love with James and was blackmailed into being a death eater and was an angel who did nothing wrong, like, NO! Stop ruining it for me, when I read about him and he appeared for, like, 10 seconds or something, I thought his character had potential, specifically in fanfics, but his fans make me wanna scratch my eyes out. Like, stop making him a poor little white boy, make dark headcanons about him, make him more complicated and interesting. His fans are just extremely annoying, and it REALLY pisses me off when they say âRegulus Black is the TRUE Slytherin heroâ. Like... wtf?? What Regulus did was extremely heroic and god bless him for doing that, but... yâall gotta stop comparing the most complicated Harry Potter character ever to a plot device.
Wait theyâre right! Remember when Regulus Black defected Lord Voldemort and fought against him for years and was a spy for nearly two decades and sacrificed his entire life in the process and truly believed in the Orderâs cause and saved the entire Wizarding World?
Me neither, that was Severus Snape. Read the fucking books.
It annoys me how they compare the most beautifully-written character ever to a fucking cardboard cutout đ€Šââïžđ€Šââïž
Tw: anxiety attacks (mentioned)
Regulus had really shit grades for the first few years at hogwarts.
He was really stiff and never got the wand motions right. He got anxious during tests and blanked. He was really bad at chopping things and ended up nicking his fingers during potions (which was never good with the whole hemophilia thing), he was taught to never get dirty (manâs always had hand sanitizer) so he hated herbology. He was always good at flying lessons and astronomy though.
He never asked questions or for extra help because he was scared people would think he was dumb.
He was also dealing with Sirius not talking to him anymore no matter how many times he tried to get his attention.
He got even more stressed when he knew his mother would find out about his grades and started having frequent anxiety attacks. Madame Pomfrey soon realized that his anxiety attacks were from school and started to help him.
She taught him healing spells, potions, how to work with herbs and cleaning spells, and meditation. The one on one lessons really helped Regulus notice his mistakes and helped him loosen up.
This was how he found out Remus was a werewolf. He loved magical creatures and read about them in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them so he was already suspicious. He soon put two and two together when he would wake up in the hospital wing and Pomfrey would be fussing over someone who wasnât there the night before.
Also just imagine Remus and Regulus sitting on opposite beds while Pomfrey teaches them how to clear their mind. Or Remus realizing why Regulus was in the hospital wing all the time and encouraged Sirius to talk to him.
That doesnât matter!!!! Just do it because you want to and if people like it thatâs just a bonus
How would you all feel if I did a Wolfstar/Marauders through Hogwarts story? Kinda like âAll the Young Dudesâ except not as good XD, no one can beat all the young dudes MsKingBean89 is a literal genius. But how would you guys feel about that?
But thatâs just not as fun. Why would I want to read something so sad when I can read the characters with more complex relationships and personalities. Not being canon compliant doesnât mean you donât understand the work, it just means you want to put your own spin on things. You want to see your favorite characters be more than just a few lines in one book.
Itâs perfectly fine if you think this way just donât insult other people for thinking differently please. Itâs really not that deep.
sorry to break your hearts, but regulus was not a pure innocent baby who was forced to become a death eater.
he became death eater on his own. he wanted to. he believed in voldemort's views, was prejudiced and agreed with his parents being their favourite child.
he never lost his beliefs, if it wasn't for kreacher being in danger regulus would have never betrayed voldemort. he's a parallel to snape - if it wasn't for lily being in danger snape would've still be a loyal death eater.
and no, sirius and regulus did not get along well. making all those edits with them together only show that you have never understood what was written in the books. sirius spoke ill of regulus. they did not agree with each other and separated most likely ever since sirius became a gryffindor. no, regulus would have never begged sirius to stay and sirius would never sadly say to him he has to. sirius ran away to his real brother. pay attention to his words in ootp. SIRIUS AND REGULUS WEREN'T CLOSE (perhaps in childhood but not since hogwarts). if they were, sirius would never ran away before 17 leaving everything behind.
i'm not even gonna speak about jegulus cause it's more fucking stupid than armys on twitter. just admit you can't read.
I know people probably already hc this but what if while Sirius learned ballet, Regulus learned how to ice skate.
Sirius loved ballet but couldnât skate for shit meanwhile Regulus learned how to do all the tricks and flips and stuff (I donât skate I have no clue what the lingo is)
So whenever the lake was frozen over he would go super early in the morning and practice what he only got to do a couple months a year.
James, being the maniac who gets up at five in the morning to go for a jog, is one of the only people to actually see Reg skate.
At first he couldnât see it was him and thought âthis dudeâs gonna fall on his ass trying to ice skate in the darkâ. He couldnât make out much but was mesmerized by the figure who moved so elegantly on the ice.
He would only realize it was Regulus an hour later when the sky finally started to lighten up. Regulus was taking off his skates when he looked up and saw James fully facing him (away from the jogging trail). They both stayed silent until James whispered âbloody hellâ and speed walked back to the school.
Every morning they would see each other, maybe nod, exchange pleasantries, until one morning. The ice was too thin to skate on and Regulus certainly wasnât going to risk it, so instead he joined James for his early morning jog. It shocked James, and if Regulus was being honest, it shocked him too. They ended up having a really nice conversation. That was the morning they both realized they had a crush on each other.
Regulus Black Headcanons
He was extremely pale but when he blushed his whole face turned red. He hated it, especially because of how easy it was to make him blush
He had hemophilia (as a product of inbreeding). Something about it just makes sense.
He resembled his father while Sirius resembled their mother. He was quiet, reserved, and was often seen as apathetic. (But he could scream like a fucking banshee, he had to get something from his mother)
Heâs the kind of person to kick you when your down b/c he thinks itâs really funny. He only does it to his friends b/c he knows they can take it but he definitely talks shit about other people to them. Like, Barty would get a really shit grade on a test and Reg would say, âWell at least youâre good looking, oh WAITâand run out before Barty can throw something at him.
He reads muggle books and enchants the covers so no one knows.
He lies about his favorite book genre because itâs trashy romance.
He was a hat stall because he was having a whole conversation with himself in his head and the hat couldnât get a word in. After five minutes of him weighing the pros and cons of each house he says to the hat âokay, put me in Ravenclawâ. The hat stays silent for a second and screams âSLYTHERINâ
Regulus can hold a grudge like a BITCH. Heâs still mad at the hat for not going with his decision (even though he knows it was right)
He had a hard time growing hair when he was little and was really insecure about it. Just imagine him with the worst little rat moustache.
He took pride in his hygiene. He had a skin and haircare routine, flossed, and moisturized. He clipped his nails and made sure they looked nice (or tried to since he bit his nails a lot). He even brought silk pillowcases to school.
He wrote music. You canât convince me other wise. This bitch played piano and violin, two of the hardest instruments to learn, and wrote pieces for both of them.
He bit his nails. He thought it was really disgusting because he hated germs but he wouldnât realize he was doing it until he was three nails in.
He absolutely had a blanky when he was little. He slept with it but hid it from his dorm mates in his first year. Bellatrix set it on fire and Regulus didnât leave his room for weeks.
Do it. Wanna know why? BECAUSE YOU CAN
How would you all feel if I did a Wolfstar/Marauders through Hogwarts story? Kinda like âAll the Young Dudesâ except not as good XD, no one can beat all the young dudes MsKingBean89 is a literal genius. But how would you guys feel about that?
I mean⊠homie heâs gotta know something. Heâs not wearing a slytherin sweater during an interview next to LITERALLY ZENDAYA while sheâs looking like THAT just for kicks. Thereâs no fuckin way
aRE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!
âThose poor boysâ
âShe deserves to be punished too.â
âIâm not saying I support rape, but-â
âSorry to say - she deserved it.â
âShe put herself in harmâs wayâ
âBut if she was fingered, then thatâs not rape.â
âShe ruined their lives.â
I want a jegulus fic where Regulus has to sit through James flirting just so badly with Lily that he has to intervene.
Like he straight up looks him dead in the eye and screams âSHEâS JUST NOT INTO YOU! HOW MANY TIMES DOES SHE HAVE TO SAY NO BEFORE YOU CAN GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD???? DOES SHE NEED TO SAY IT IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE OR SOMETHING???â And continues the rant through all the other languages he knows.
And James stays silent the whole time with this love struck expression while this twink screams at him.
And Lily gets the peace she deserves.
Tw: toxic behavior, manipulation, trauma
I feel like Regulus is the most manipulative dick out there.
His entire existence was just lying.
He was taught from an early age how to repress his emotions. His parents and governesses would always make him repeat things back to them over and over again until they felt he learned his lesson.
Heâs incredibly observant so he figures out peopleâs personalities (and insecurities) really quickly. He just automatically mimics their personality when theyâre with him so he can get people to trust him.
He can use all of it to get people to do whatever he wants. Through blackmail, manipulation, gaslighting, or thinly veiled threats (because the Blacks always keep it classy).
However, he usually doesnât rely on other people. He just does it himself.
So, basically, he can do a lot of damage, he just chooses not to. It makes him feel secure to know everyoneâs secrets and to know exactly how to keep them complacent if the need ever arises.
Obviously learning this trait at such a young age (literally from birth) caused him to never fully understand who he was. It made him feel emotionless, less than human.
Sirius also learned how to mimic peopleâs behavior which was why he was always so much more vibrant when he was with James and super quiet with Remus, but soon realized that he didnât have to hide (and itâs super unhealthy to do) so he quickly unlearned it.
K so like, Sirius always wanted to be a rockstar right? He always dressed super punk and has the voice for it.
But imagineâŠ
Regulus felt like he could never talk with people about his problems. He was always so alone and felt even lonelier.
But then he over heard from some Ravenclaw that they keep a journal to help them get all their emotions out.
He decides to do so. He writes everything he feels he canât say. He lets his handwriting get messy, he scratches things out. Some pages are just lists or bullet points. Itâs the one place he can actually be himself. The only way he can figure out who he is.
He stops feeling like heâs fading away. He has something to hold onto. He can identify his feelings and really understand them.
Soon he just has journals filled with half finished poems, song lyrics he overheard (from people like his brother who refused to turn down their music), chord progressions he canât get over from his concertos, and now, he has full songs.
He knows who he is now. He runs away to muggle America and starts a career as a mysterious new singer who just showed up on the rock scene. Violin and guitar are basically the same instrument, right? Of course his skills will translate.
His songs are filled with anger, sadness, and pain. He writes about his family, the loss of his brother, his cousin, his uncle, and what it feels like to have everyone who you loved forget you. But he also writes about joy. For having had a brother at all, for having friends (even if they are three feet tall and hate everyone except for him), for falling in love with a boy he met in a recording studio who was saved by music just like he was.
He writes about the war and the guilt of running away instead of fighting alongside his brother. And about reconnecting with said brother after Voldemort was killed by Dumbledore (Just go with it).
He was finally happy.
And if his brother got super jealous after finding him on the cover of a magazine in the boots he used to wear, well thatâs just a bonus.
Wait, I thought we were all agreed that Regâs a shithead and weâre just making fun of him. Like straight up I didnât know people actually thought he was a good person.
I never knew people thought he was a better person than Sirius. Sounds like a Snape kinnie to me ngl. (No offense to Snape kinnies you do you)
To me heâs a morally grey person and I have my own reasons for that but Iâve never considered him better than Sirius. I wonder why people think that way.
How the hell can people think Regulus Black is a good person? I see so many fanfics and headcanons that heâs actually a good and sweet person, I see people saying that itâs canon that heâs a better person than Sirius because he treated a racist house-elf with respect. Like wtf? Did yâall miss the part where he idolized Voldemort and willingly joined the death eaters and was perfectly ok with murder and torture until he got personally effected? Heâs giving Snape vibes and thatâs not a good thing. How does that scream âgood personâ or âheroâ? Youâre a hero when your intentions are to help other people, not when itâs just to give Voldemort the invisible middle finger. Fuck Regulus and anyone that tries to claim that heâs a better person than Sirius can square up because wth.
Someone notices Regulus singing a song nonstop and when they ask him what song it is he just says he doesnât know and walks away.
And then like a month later the song comes out on the radio and that person is just losing their shit.
Seer! Regulus but it only allows him to randomly know songs (mostly muggle) that have yet to be written. Like imagine he goes to to Lucius and Narcissa's wedding and just starts humming 'Barbie Girl' by Aqua.
Sirius pisses him off and so Regulus screams 'Who let the dogs out' at the top of his lungs.
11 year old Reg just strolls down the Hallways singing Mr Blue Sky. (On bad days it's A Thousand miles by Vanessa Carlton)
regulus vs the divination professor
Regulusâ first crush was Newt Scamander. He would always reread fantastic beasts just so he could get to the picture of him at the end. He didnât really understand why he would start to blush if he looked too long. His dreams were filled with curly golden hair, high cheek bones, and a tiny smile that he wouldnât mind kissing.
His passion for magical creatures would bleed into his fascination for this man and vice versa. This was why he loved them so much.
This was also why, a few months after first getting the book and sitting with his brother on the train ride to Hogwarts, he could barely look Remus Lupin in the eye without his whole face going red.
An internal monologue I wrote from Regulusâ perspective about Jily. *Incredibly angsty.* (i donât know how to do the read more thing but know that I would if I could)
I canât identify my feelings while watching you. You walking in with her on your arm. You move your arm around her waist. She nuzzles into your neck, you kiss her hair.
You look happy. Different from when you were with me. You were happy with me too, but not like that. You look calm. At peace. Like everything has finally fallen in place. Well, everything was already in place, I guess I was the only thing that wasnât.
I canât even get mad. Trust me, I am. I am devastated.
No one knows. No one can see. But I am in mourning.
People say love shouldnât hurt but love is hurt. Love is pain, jealousy, anger, fear, a slow and unmarked torture.
Thereâs a reason they call it heartache. To ache to be near them, to ache when youâre apart from them. Thereâs a reason you âfallâ in love. It is not deliberate, nor wanted, and if you donât figure out how youâre going to land before you do, youâll break.
But I have no right to hurt. I thought you were mine. You told me you were. But seeing you now⊠I guess we were both foolish. Because I will always be yours, but you were clearly never mine.
I canât be upset with you when I was the one to fuck it all up. I was the one who pulled away when things got difficult. I was the one who shut down when you yelled. I was the one who couldnât give you a proper answer. Couldnât tell you just how much you mean to me. I hope you know I tried. I tried so hard. I promise.
I donât think my promises mean much to you anymore.
But now, here we are. With you so happy, and me so far away. We were always in different worlds. Living different lives. But there was a point in time when you actually convinced me we could create a new one together. Just for us.
Thatâs the cruel thing about time. It gives you so much. It lets you experience things, love things, only to take it all away. The feeling lingers, the situation does not.
I wish time would speed up. Then the ache would fade. Then you would graduate and I wouldnât be forced to watch you fall without me.
Then I would be dead. A fool who loved in silence. A fool who died in love.
Then you would be dead.
A fool who loved out loud.
A fool who died in love.
Young Sirius to James: You and Regulus are gonna love each other and then weâll all be brothers!
James: *makes fun of him*
Reg: *doesnât realize heâs joking and ends up hexing him.*
Sirius: đ you gotta be fucking kidding međ
I totally get what youâre saying. To get jegulus and jegulily, you have to change all their characters around.
I personally donât like when people say Regulus was just forced into a role and he never wanted any of it though I do like seeing how people twist the story in that way. But it makes him sound like a mediocre Draco.
I think a lot of people like Jegulus because of the character depth it brings to both of them. We get to see a softer side to Regulus and how heâs just as scared as everyone else is. It teaches James that you canât save everyone, especially when they donât want or think they need to.
In canon, nothing about Jegulus and jegulily would work. But thatâs what fan fiction is for. So we can change things or put our own theories about the characters into play.
Iâve seen a lot of discourse about Jegulus in this fandom and I want to give my opinion on it. Before I get into this I would like to say: no hate to any Jegulus shippers. Youâre entitled to your own opinions, and I could care less about who you ship as long as itâs not pedophillia, incest, etc. This is just my opinion.
I really hate Jegulus for multiple reasons:
First off, it completely destroys their characters and makes 0 sense for both of them.
James was strongly against blood purity and the Potter family were labeled as blood traitors. He was invited to join the DE by Voldemort and declined (JKR confirmed this was 1 of the 3 ways he betrayed him.) Not to mention he betrayed Voldemort 2 other times. Plus, he was friends with Remus, a half-blood werewolf and Sirius, a blood traitor Gryffindor. Do you really think the Marauders would still be his friends if he suddenly dated a blood supremacist? Imagine if youâre a POC and your white friend dated a racist. Or if you were Jewish and your German friend dated a German N@z! supporter.
Regulus was strongly for blood purity, seeing as he made a shrine dedicated to Voldemort and the DE. This means he wouldâve hated Muggleborns, half-bloods, half-breeds, and blood traitors.
Not to mention Sirius. Regulus probably loved Sirius since he asked Kreacher not to tell his family about the Horcrux, and Sirius died not knowing about it, but that doesnât mean Regulus was a good brother when Sirius was still around. In his youth, Sirius wouldâve hated Regulus because of Walburga and Orionâs favoritism. The Potters took Sirius in and James adopted Sirius as a brother. He wouldâve hated Regulus because of the way Sirius talked about him. And considering that Sirius hated Regulus as kids, he would be very hurt and angry with James if he suddenly got in a relationship with him.
Second off, Jegulus and Jily canât work in the same timeline. Lily would never go out with James if he dated a blood supremacist before her. If a white guy asked me to date him, and I knew he dated a white racist before me, I would be horrified and shocked and immediately say no.
And donât even get me started on the HC about a poly relationship between Lily, James, and Regulus. Iâm sorry, but thatâs a very disgusting HC to have. Muggleborns are an allegory for Jewish people and DE are an allegory for N@z!s. Itâs just like Dramione/Drarry, just Marauders Era edition.
The only way I can see Jegulus or a poly relationship between Regulus, James, and Lily working is in an AU where Regulus was always good, but that still changes him entirely and throws away anything canon about him.
I think a lot of people use Jegulus as a way to give Regulus a better redemption arc. But honestly, using love as a redemption arc doesnât work and is just lazy writing. We see this with Snily and even Grindledore, to an extent. I think Regulus shouldâve been given a better redemption arc but using Jegulus to do so makes no sense and isnât a good way to fix JKRâs terrible try at a redemption without obsession.
Jamie (everyone does)
Lover (As I said before, James calls him love)
My king (heâs the king of Gryffindor)
Bumble bee or bee (James reminded Reg of spring so he called him spring related things -also James has bee vibes)
Sun (James insisted on giving him a star name so obviously heâs gonna give him the sun. Bright, warm, etc.)
Four eyes (he couldnât resist)
Also broom boy (just as affectionate)
Reg never used any of these in front of other people except for âJamie.â He found nicknames super personal and didnât think everyone should know about them.
James knew how Reg felt about nicknames. He felt so special to be called anything by him. His face lit up even when Reg called him four eyes.
âNo Sirius, we agreed we would do Centaurs next week.â
âBut Centaurs are cool.â
âTheyâll be cool next week.â
âOh wow, professor lupin everybody. Centaurs are only cool when HE wants them to be.â
âYou know thatâs not what Iâm saying. We already planned this wee-â
âThe rest of the class agrees that we should do Centaurs this weekâ
âLITERALLY NO ONE SAID THATâ
âI COULD FEEL IT IN THEIR ENERGYâ
âWHAT DOES THAT MEAN???â
The class: *tired because this happens every week*
Imagine if both Remus AND Sirius got the chance to co-teach Defence Against the Dark Arts??
If only You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi came out a decade earlier. James would sing it every time Lily rejected him. When him and Reg broke up he would listen to it non stop for three days straight.
