Someone notices Regulus singing a song nonstop and when they ask him what song it is he just says he doesn’t know and walks away.
And then like a month later the song comes out on the radio and that person is just losing their shit.
Seer! Regulus but it only allows him to randomly know songs (mostly muggle) that have yet to be written. Like imagine he goes to to Lucius and Narcissa's wedding and just starts humming 'Barbie Girl' by Aqua.
Sirius pisses him off and so Regulus screams 'Who let the dogs out' at the top of his lungs.
11 year old Reg just strolls down the Hallways singing Mr Blue Sky. (On bad days it's A Thousand miles by Vanessa Carlton)

Rest In Peace Reggie Black. You would’ve loved the Song of Achillies😔
As a former vampire diaries (both the tv show AND the books), twilight, and shadow falls(I know no one’s heard of it, that’s fine) stanner, I can confidently say that vampires are still sexy and cool as fuck.
Please write more long vampire! Jegulus aus.
Please.
@screamingfae I’m looking at you👀👀👀👀
I feel like Sirius drinks fruity cocktails while Regulus drinks wine. They both like to act like classy motherfuckers when drinking. All their friends have seen them sloshed out of their minds at some point so none of them take them too seriously.
And when they’re drunk Sirius will turn to anyone and start screaming, “I love you so much you’re so pretty, not as pretty as Moony but no one can be as pretty as Moony. He’s my boyfriend by the way, you HAVE to meet him. Where’d you get your shirt? Can I try it on? Yes right now. OH HI JAMES!!!!!”
Regulus just sits in the corner giggling the whole time. When he sees James (and/or Barty if you like) he just openly stares at them. Like, wide eyed, open mouthed, hands holding his cheeks staring.
And you can’t tell me James wont give the ‘epic highs and lows of high school football’ speech to Remus’ ‘I had to sell drugs for my nana’ speech.
someone compared regulus to jughead and they were 100% right but dying at the thought of regulus giving Sirius the “I’m weird, I’m a weirdo” speech
I totally get what you’re saying. To get jegulus and jegulily, you have to change all their characters around.
I personally don’t like when people say Regulus was just forced into a role and he never wanted any of it though I do like seeing how people twist the story in that way. But it makes him sound like a mediocre Draco.
I think a lot of people like Jegulus because of the character depth it brings to both of them. We get to see a softer side to Regulus and how he’s just as scared as everyone else is. It teaches James that you can’t save everyone, especially when they don’t want or think they need to.
In canon, nothing about Jegulus and jegulily would work. But that’s what fan fiction is for. So we can change things or put our own theories about the characters into play.
I’ve seen a lot of discourse about Jegulus in this fandom and I want to give my opinion on it. Before I get into this I would like to say: no hate to any Jegulus shippers. You’re entitled to your own opinions, and I could care less about who you ship as long as it’s not pedophillia, incest, etc. This is just my opinion.
I really hate Jegulus for multiple reasons:
First off, it completely destroys their characters and makes 0 sense for both of them.
James was strongly against blood purity and the Potter family were labeled as blood traitors. He was invited to join the DE by Voldemort and declined (JKR confirmed this was 1 of the 3 ways he betrayed him.) Not to mention he betrayed Voldemort 2 other times. Plus, he was friends with Remus, a half-blood werewolf and Sirius, a blood traitor Gryffindor. Do you really think the Marauders would still be his friends if he suddenly dated a blood supremacist? Imagine if you’re a POC and your white friend dated a racist. Or if you were Jewish and your German friend dated a German N@z! supporter.
Regulus was strongly for blood purity, seeing as he made a shrine dedicated to Voldemort and the DE. This means he would’ve hated Muggleborns, half-bloods, half-breeds, and blood traitors.
Not to mention Sirius. Regulus probably loved Sirius since he asked Kreacher not to tell his family about the Horcrux, and Sirius died not knowing about it, but that doesn’t mean Regulus was a good brother when Sirius was still around. In his youth, Sirius would’ve hated Regulus because of Walburga and Orion’s favoritism. The Potters took Sirius in and James adopted Sirius as a brother. He would’ve hated Regulus because of the way Sirius talked about him. And considering that Sirius hated Regulus as kids, he would be very hurt and angry with James if he suddenly got in a relationship with him.
Second off, Jegulus and Jily can’t work in the same timeline. Lily would never go out with James if he dated a blood supremacist before her. If a white guy asked me to date him, and I knew he dated a white racist before me, I would be horrified and shocked and immediately say no.
And don’t even get me started on the HC about a poly relationship between Lily, James, and Regulus. I’m sorry, but that’s a very disgusting HC to have. Muggleborns are an allegory for Jewish people and DE are an allegory for N@z!s. It’s just like Dramione/Drarry, just Marauders Era edition.
The only way I can see Jegulus or a poly relationship between Regulus, James, and Lily working is in an AU where Regulus was always good, but that still changes him entirely and throws away anything canon about him.
I think a lot of people use Jegulus as a way to give Regulus a better redemption arc. But honestly, using love as a redemption arc doesn’t work and is just lazy writing. We see this with Snily and even Grindledore, to an extent. I think Regulus should’ve been given a better redemption arc but using Jegulus to do so makes no sense and isn’t a good way to fix JKR’s terrible try at a redemption without obsession.
This one is really weird. It’s kinda sad but not really, you’ll know what I mean if you read it. I’m just tryna help people out of their choices depression because everyone being sad on the main is not doing it for me.
I feel like if Regulus would run away he wouldn’t go to the Potters. He’s way too smart to run away to the most obvious place he would go. No, that bitch is running away never to be seen again, Cullen style.
He would make sure to not leave a trace of himself. Pack up everything in his room and burn the things he’s not gonna take with him. It would look as if it’s just another guest room. He wouldn’t burn his face off the tapestry, he would spell it so he disappeared completely.
He wouldn’t stay at Hogwarts, he wouldn’t stay in the country. He would go to France or Russia or even America and forge a few signatures to make it look like they forgot about a transfer student. Sirius could afford to be so close to the Black Family because he has the protection of the Potters, Regulus can’t.
When Regulus runs, he makes it look like he never existed. So when his family finds out that he’s gone, they’re all gaslighted by the silence. They’re not crazy. There was another Black brother. He existed. Or was there? There’s no proof. And yes, the Black family is crazy, so who’s to say it’s not all in your head? Who in the Black family can say with full certainty that the boy who never spoke unless told to, the boy who stood in the shadows, the boy who only ever followed, actually existed?
Sirius knows Regulus was real. But sometimes, in the darkest hour of the night where it’s just him and his mind swirling in a pool of thought, he can’t help but wonder if the angel that cleaned his wounds was just a figment of his imagination.
Sirius only ever interacted with him when it was needed. So it made sense that he was there for the first eleven years of his life. But when he went to Hogwarts, he didn’t need a security blanket. He wrote letters but they were never answered. He didn’t need an imaginary friend, and so he was gone. And when that angel came to him, wanting to talk, wanting to not be ignored, Sirius turned away. He didn’t need help. He didn’t need comfort. In the daytime, away from home Regulus was just a reminder of that house, not an escape from it.
He tried to remember what he looks like but he doesn’t have pictures of him. The only memories he has of his little brother are blurred. He can’t seem to remember exactly where the freckles on his face landed, he couldn’t remember how tall he was, or the exact length of his hair, or what he looked like smiling.
Sirius is terrified. But those are only moments of doubt. Because James remembers him.
James remembers every detail of Regulus. Sirius decides not to question why James does, scared that it will only lead to more doubt. He just lets James tell him everything he remembers.
Regulus was very much real. He was alive. He was sad he had to go but knew he had to. And he lived a wonderful life.
Wait, I thought we were all agreed that Reg’s a shithead and we’re just making fun of him. Like straight up I didn’t know people actually thought he was a good person.
I never knew people thought he was a better person than Sirius. Sounds like a Snape kinnie to me ngl. (No offense to Snape kinnies you do you)
To me he’s a morally grey person and I have my own reasons for that but I’ve never considered him better than Sirius. I wonder why people think that way.
How the hell can people think Regulus Black is a good person? I see so many fanfics and headcanons that he’s actually a good and sweet person, I see people saying that it’s canon that he’s a better person than Sirius because he treated a racist house-elf with respect. Like wtf? Did y’all miss the part where he idolized Voldemort and willingly joined the death eaters and was perfectly ok with murder and torture until he got personally effected? He’s giving Snape vibes and that’s not a good thing. How does that scream “good person” or “hero”? You’re a hero when your intentions are to help other people, not when it’s just to give Voldemort the invisible middle finger. Fuck Regulus and anyone that tries to claim that he’s a better person than Sirius can square up because wth.
I knew I should have put a disclaimer first!!!!! I just thought people would realize this is my own characterization of Regulus and I probably shouldn’t have put Snape as the comparison but other death eaters in general. I’m so sorry if I made you mad I just fixed it now.
One small difference between Snape and Regulus is how they react to people wanting to join the death eaters.
A younger slytherin comes up to them and tells them they want to become a death eater too.
Snape is fully supportive. Tells them all about the glorious things the Dark Lord has done. Tells them they will have to work hard to gain such an honor and he will be waiting to see them at the next meeting.
Regulus tells them they are making a huge mistake. They will be used as a pawn in Voldemort’s game and, if not willing, forced to kill. He would say it isn’t worth your life.
He tells that kid every horrific thing he’s seen or heard about (he’s still in school so he hasn’t participated in it yet). Better to be scared than dead. He makes sure they don’t want to participate in the war at all.
They are both death eaters, they both support Voldemort and have seen the unspeakable things that have been done. But Regulus knows when he’s being manipulated, and he’ll be damned if he let someone be in the same position as him. It’s too late for him, he’s too deep in the war. He realizes it never mattered what they were fighting for, people are dying no matter what they believed in. He doesn’t want to contribute to that number more than he has to.
Sirius: my brother and I get along really well
James: you- you just shoved him into the wall and called him stupid?
