With 20biteen kicking off, it’s time to remember one of the original bisexual icons that made us realise we were queer growing up. Li Syaoran was peak bisexual dumbass and a blessing upon us all. Not only did he fall hard and not know what to do with Yukito, there was that glorious time where he hadn’t realised he liked Sakura and this spent at least half of the series at his peak Bisexual Panic Mode. Such features included: blushing every time he looked at either of them, listening to voice mails of Sakura, being unable to speak whenever either complimented him, and his Special Move, Run Away As Soon As Things Get Bi. And in the background Touya is mentally preparing the skin the dumbass kid who is crushing on his love and his little sister respectively, while Tomoyo encourages more havoc and laughs maniacally to herself as she films it.
Mihashi in 1st ep of Big Windup!: cries, calls himself a shitty pitcher, stutters over his own name, gets the fear of god placed into him by a woman squeezing oranges, cries, finds his soulmate/catcher, cries again
Sawamura in 1st ep of Ace of Diamond: cries, bitchslaps 12 students and has the audacity to slap the grown-ass umpire as well, faces off against the strongest looking motherfucker and tries to pick a fight despite being a guest, meets his soulmate/catcher, cries some more
In summary: to be a pitcher you gotta have some good-ass tear ducts
We’re all used to the eccentricities of each character, and the techniques the boys use to stay calm and focused during their games, but from an outside perspective Nishiura high school baseball team is absolutely fucking bizarre.
*Nishiura calls time*
Opponent team: oh they must be making a game plan, alright
*Abe goes out to stand in the middle of the field and hold hands with Mihashi while staring intently into his eyes*
Opponent team: what the fuck is going on???
*Abe calls Mihashi his pitcher, promises to take care of him for the next 3 years, swears that they’ll win for his sake, Mihashi is crying incoherently*
Opponent team: they know we’re in the middle of a game, right? do we need to get them a room or something....?
Opponent team: how are these freshmen staying so calm in such a serious game??? what’s their trick???
*Looks across to Nishiura’s dugout where Mizutani is screaming while Izumi and Mihashi tickle him*
Opponent team: ?????? do we need to call somebody?? is he okay?
*Tajima makes an impossible shot and gets several runs*
Opponent team: how cool is that prodigy?? he must be a genius
Tajima, immediately after finishing the game, shirt off, dick out: rice is a type of protein right??
Hanai: jesus christ how have you survived for this long
tl;dr:
Big hot shot team pre-game: This game will be pathetically easy -- they’re just a bunch of freshies!! Practically toddlers!
*Nishiura during the game* Reads the pitchers’ movements, memorises each batters preferences, goes full-on klepto with bases. Wins.
Hot shot team: What in tarnation....
*Nishiura after the game* has players falling asleep on public bunches like a bunch of hobos, some of them half-naked, Abe yelling incoherently over the mess
Hot shot team: ....we lost to this?
Sora’s side: a long-winded mystery that is slightly unsettling with the memory-loss and all, but is a story shrouded in nostalgia that sweetly pushes the whole Friendship Is Magic trope. The conflict reveals new depths to the characters (especially Sora), but Sora’s optimism prevails and we result in a hopeful ending.
Riku’s side: RIKU MUST GRAPPLE WITH HIS DARKNESS ONCE MORE ALL WITHOUT ANY SUPPORT FROM FRIENDS, WHILE CONSTANTLY BEING REMINDED OF HIS PAST MISTAKES AND HOW PATHETIC HE IS FOR BEING SCARED OF BECOMING EVIL AGAIN DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE IS A CHILD AND SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SUFFER ANY MORE.
Me, suitably horrified: I thought this was a kids game.
Disregarding all of the psychological and deeply personal reasons Deku’s quirk shocked Bakugou in their first battle, his reaction is justifiable. I would be whacked out of my fucking mind too if the weedy kid in my class who couldn’t even talk back suddenly could breAK ALL OF HIS BONES AND NOT EVEN FLINCH.
Middle School Bakugou: *throws (1) punch* “HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT DEKU?!?!”
Deku: *bawling his eyes out* “K-Kacchan please”
High School Bakugou: *exploded half a building* “YOU’LL ALWAYS BE A USELESS NERD!!! NEVER A HERO!!”
Deku: FUCK YOU YA BASTARD I DON’T FEAR DEATH *blows up arm and the rest of the building*
Hey so is anyone gonna talk about the fact that most of the paladins (bar Keith with his dimensional trip on a whale) have been gone from earth for roughly 5 years, but it’s only been less than 2 for them. Their families have been mourning them for 5 whole years, imagining them dead or, more likely, imagining missing 5 years of their lives and their children returning as adults in their early 20s. Like it’s such a throwaway line when Lance sees his family, but when he tells the youngest ones that they’ve gotten so big, they respond with “you’re exactly the same”. It’s even more noticeable with the main Garrison cadets being fully grown adults trusted with being leading pilots in experimental crafts. What a shock it must have been for the Garrison to be expecting cadets like these only more hardened with experience to come home, men and women growing up in a galactic war, only to be met with the same young faces that left all those years ago. How hard would it have been to sit and discuss war council with the legendary Voltron, while looking into a fifteen year old girls face knowing you were sending her out to possibly die. I think about it a lot. And it’s horrifying. The next question is: who is gonna write the fic where the garrison is trying to prepare for the final battle, and has to simultaneously wrap their heads around the fact that they are sending kids to fight their war? The higher ups will dismiss them despite their reputation because they see them laughing and goofing off in spare time, only to confront them with reprimands to reveal that the paladins, particularly Lance, joke to stay positive in the face of the horrors they’ve met. (And it’s obvious that these kids may be young but they have gone through more than anyone can comprehend, as Pidge offers a plan based on the horrific night of going solo against Sendak in the Castle of Lions, or Hunk absently mentioning the hallucinations they experienced prior to earth via a monstorous being and how he was going to sacrifice himself, or even Lance letting slip that he LITERALLY DIED. What can you say to these horrors?)
Shiro choosing Keith to be a cadet over Griffin is the equivalent of being shown the most well-behaved dog in the pet store but still choosing the one that’s been chewing on your shoe the whole time.
They removed Krolia from this season so early because she’s more of a badass than any character has the right to be, and also they knew that all Voltron girls are Too Powerful, and that having more than (3) on the team would result in the war being tied up in half a season.
While we can agree the Voltron fandom is currently a crash site of vicious disagreements and ship wars, one thing that has risen above the ranks is the sheer amount of ao3 author support. A lot of people are frustrated with the newest season, particularly if (like me) you’re a member of the LGBT+ community who has come face-to-face with the “Bury your gays” trope yet again, or even if you’re someone who has issues with how the plot or characterisation has been done. Everyone’s frustrations are valid because everyone has their own opinion (and I’ll slip in here that while these emotions are yours to express please don’t abuse the creators of Voltron, they deserve respect like any human), but I am LIVING for the sheer amount of genius fix-it fics that have been boosted on this website. While discourse will continue, please be respectful of the fic writers who put their effort into improving the plot how they see fit, and enjoy the works that they lovingly give to the fandom. A lot of reblogs of fics are appearing in the tags so keep up the support for our fandom in these tough times and channel your shipping frustrations into supporting your favourite authors!! Stay positive through these dark times and respect one another!!
Some asshole: What do Hunk and Pig even contribute to the team? They’re not even important to the plot line and they have no cool powers! They suck!
Season 6, smashing dozens of scenarios where Pidge and Hunks’ intellect save each other, the team and the whole universe into their face: I’m sorry, what was that? I couldn’t hear you over Hunk learning Galran culture or saving an entire planet from getting blown up under pressure, let alone adding Pidge’s analysing skills/cunning to create a failsafe for Shiro and coding fast enough to save the Castle. Wanna repeat that??? :))))
Voltron Season 5: Who are you???
Voltron Season 6: I’m you but with far better character development and phenomenal animation.
Me: I’m tired of Keith being the main character in every season when the rest of the characters desperately need more character development!!
Season 6: What if we gave you soft moments with Keith’s gorgeous mum, including tender flashbacks that show Keith’s tragic background and how much his parents truly loved him.
Me: ....that’s cool but still-
Season 6: How about fully explaining Keith’s relationship with Shiro and using the most breathtaking animation and devastating lines to really make you feel the love and pain between them.
Me, sniffling slightly: No, uh, that’s totally cool but-
Season 6: There’s flashbacks to tiny Keith looking up to Shiro, the only person who believed he was a good kid with a bright future, he just needed someone to not give up on him.
Me, discreetly wiping a tear: T-that’s definitely something I wanted, but you can’t deny-
Season 6: Alrighty then, how about we show how much Keith has grown by displaying his desperation and fear of losing the team and not being to do anything, accompanied with contrasting close-ups of his friends scared faces and Keith’s cracking frantic voice as he called out for these people that have now become his family. We’ll even throw in the culmination of his development to becoming the team leader by showing how he listens to everyone’s opinions/plans but they all listen to him without question to execute each move perfectly, creating a more powerful Voltron because their love for each other is so strong.
Me, all out sobbing: I’m so proud of my boy and who he’s become!!!!!
I woke up in a cold sweat thinking about this and I have to just get it out or it'll drive me mad. So a DEH/BNHA AU in which Midoriya really does jump off the roof in the end, and Bakugou is there to see him go but, too little too late, can't stop him from jumping. All he's left with is a soggy book full of Midoriya's dreams and an overwhelming amount of guilt. The notebook takes place of the emails, with Bakugou discovering extensive pages on himself in the burnt notebook, and later on finding himself in every notebook after Inko (thinking like many others who knew the boys that Bakugou treated Midoriya poorly in order to protect the quirkless boy from killing himself in the hero industry) gave him the whole collection. They became a symbol in the media of the two boys friendship (and in a twisted way allowed Bakugou to become closer to Midoriya), while still serving as the cover's downfall later. In this AU he told Midoriya to jump after he's alone in the classroom with him, so when he calls an ambulance he's assumed to be the poor kid who tried to stop his suicidal quirkless friend from jumping, and his flawless record and strong quirk ensures that he's hailed as a tragic hero. All of a sudden Deku is a tragic story and Bakugou is SUFFOCATING in guilt and rage as people who spat on Midoriya's beaten form suddenly cry over his body. The Bakugou who enters UA is a quiet, broken shell of a kid who's anger is quick to flare but quick to splutter out, and is haunted by the shadow of a dead kid that chatters in his ear all the time. He still keeps distance from his classmates, but rather than from disdain and pride, it's because he's tired of the fakeness of others and being seen as someone who needs pity. Bakugou is famous and lorded as a hero even in UA because of the way he clung to Midoriya's corpse when he was being wheeled into the ambulance, shouting about how "Izuku was meant to be smiling, damn it! He's supposed to be awake, open your fucking eyes already you idiot! If you're dead who's gonna do good in this shitty world? You were meant to fight your way to the top right? WHY ARE YOU GOING SOMEWHERE I CANT SEE YOU??" Midoriya's ghost constantly reminds him of his failures, so he tries to be a better person in repentance and also in fear of becoming a villain. The only person who gets close to him is Shinsou (who is in class 1-A most definitely), after Bakugou gets into an ugly fight with him during the third round of the sports festival, and destroys his hands with explosions to break out of the mind control so he can kick Shinsou's ass and tell him he can be a hero! Fuck what others think! YOU ARENT A VILLAIN BECAUSE IF YOU ARE (what am I???). The bakusquad eventually forms but it's harder with Bakugou being so resistant, especially when they're so inherently good. Especially Kirishima, who does nothing but try his best to understand Bakugou and become friends with this kid who saw his childhood friend die in front of him. Meanwhile Bakugou can't stand this stupid kid is so wonderful and good, a true hero who claims that Bakugou is the one who is the best hero he's seen??? He HATES it, and hates how much his heart leaps at the thought of that ever being true. But Bakugou still reigns as top student, winning the sports festival after spectacularly kicking Todoroki's ass for not using his flames, especially after he had an enlightening conversation with the other boy and a solid confrontation with Endeavour. The two are not friends per say, but Bakugou can't help but feel a connection to the boy that carried the heavy weight of emotional pain like Midoriya, and who he beat with words he thought Midoriya would say. In the end Bakugou still gets kidnapped by the League, but they are more eager to recruit him because they know he was the one who caused Midoriya to kill himself. And Bakugou doesn't want to listen to these fuckers, but the Midoriya that's always with him is whispering "villain" in his ear and suddenly the League has released the truth anonymously to the media by sending pictures of the famous notebooks. The notebooks weren't just quirk analysis but also a form of a journal for Midoriya, and they mention the abuse he suffered from Bakugou and his quirk, and suddenly the entire society is shaken by a "hero" figure being exposed as a "villain". The rescue is more difficult with Shinsou taking Midoriya's place and encouraging Kirishima to reach out. And Bakugou, broken even more by his facade finally crumbling and his belief of truly being a villain, almost doesn't reach out. But they get there in the end, and Bakugou hates himself even more when All Might loses his power, with One For All having been discreetly handed off to Mirio during the year. Everything comes to head when Bakugou is hassled by society into making a public speech, and against UA's wishes he steps up to the podium. Pale, exhausted and grief-stricken, Bakugou comes clean on national television. Only at the end, when disgusted murmurs have broken out and faith in heroes is fracturing, Bakugou gives a tearful speech about his understanding of what it really means to be a hero, of how fucking stupid it was he was lorded for having a quirk and others were condemned as "weak" for not being born lucky. He cuts to the core of social issues and he screams until his voice is hoarse about how unfair it is he stands here when IZUKU is the hero this world deserved. And it's a sobering moment to realise a child is breaking down on television because society is the one that held him high and turned him to view quirkless as worthless Deku's because that's how the world works. The slate isn't swept clean and Bakugou is condemned by many for his actions, but more awareness of quirkless suicide/domestic violence statistics is raised and all of a sudden society is actively trying to fix their flaws because their corrupt system has bred broken children who see themselves as worthless, and children with God complexes who turn toxic with society's help. In the end Bakugou managed to stay in UA with the intervention of his teachers, including a devastated All Might who wishes he could've helped this Midoriya kid (he has to save EVERYONE). The other kids are wary but suddenly many hey an understanding of how fucked up Bakugou has been over the thought of becoming a villain, and suddenly the bakusquad and what would've been the Dekusquad have merged into this ride-or-die group of friends who only want to make Bakugou happy. Eventually he is happy when he gets the necessary counselling and faces his issues for good. The day comes when he can finally look in the mirror and smile at the hero he sees, and it's the same day he finally says yes to that Shitty-haired bastard who keeps asking him out.
Marinette’s first transformation scene in Syren: the usual. boring. clearly the animator’s can’t be bothered to do more than a happy or sad sequence.
The reality: Marinette struggling to stay hidden inside a crate on the water. awkwardly sticking a leg out while transforming. getting soaked by water every time she tries to do her usual cutesy spin. finishing her transformation by spitting out water over the side of the crate with the oar digging into her side.
I'm not gonna dispute that Oofuri isn't gay...cause it's the softest most wonderful bunch of young boy romances to ever grace the screen, but if you think Tajima is exclusively gay you are very wrong. Tajima is a disaster bisexual through and through with his dorky winks and bisexual finger guns (and Hanai is his functional gay boyfriend that continues to suffer).
My favourite thing about watching BNHA is seeing the all-round brilliant art style, with its appealing colours and smooth, expressive animation. And then suddenly shifting to scenes with Todoroki, in which every fucking movement is an ode to Angels, the colours are bolder and every particle of ice looks ten times better than anything Frozen could've done. His expressions can be broken down into frame-by-frame minute changes, with his fire looking like every animators wet dream. It's like someone higher up has a VERY apparent thing for Todoroki, and ensured. all of the animation budget was used to make sure Todoroki looked glorious no matter what. It worked.
I'd like to imagine that one of the 1-A kids (probably Sero or Kaminari tbh) has a vine account that slowly got more noticed when they got into UA. This is mainly because people are interested to see what UA is really like, but also because class 1-A is the most eccentric and insane bunch of kids that have ever graced it's halls. After they get recognised with the Sports Fesival and the Kamino Ward fiasco however, the account is one of the most popular and quotable ones online. Some of the most popular vibes include: - A prank done after they moved into the dorms, where Jirou was enlisted to break into Iida's dorm room (because hey, Jirou may have always wanted to be a hero, but she's learnt some neat tricks over the years) so that all of Iida's things could be moved a few centimetres to the left, and his highly organised schooling system and bookcase rearranged. The rest of the vine is a compilation of Iida becoming exponentially more frustrated as he rams into things, and ends with him weeping exaggerated tears as he pulls out books to fix his system. - Just a minute compilation of all the times Bakugou took naps around the dorm, often in odd positions, with random objects stacked on his head. Giggling can be heard in the background in all parts, and the video ends when Bakugou wakes up to a hand trying to balance a full cup of water on his head - the video cuts off to screams and explosions. - There's a highly liked video of Mineta, stripped naked except a diaper with the words "Shitty Baby" scrawled in marker on his ass, crying while he's crucified with Sero's tape above the school entrance. - A short clip opens with a zoom in of Kaminari's derp face, right before it zooms out to show the class collected on the training grounds. Suddenly Uraraka slaps Kaminari on the arm while Ashido simultaneously yells "This bitch empty, YEET" before launching Kaminari across the school grounds as Iida screams in wordless outrage in the background. - A shaky and slow zoom in of Kirishima gradually nodding of in class. The zooming pauses for a moment with Kirishima's shoulders and head filling the screen, allowing everyone to see the drool pooling on his desk from his snoring mouth. Suddenly Aizawa's scarf wraps around his neck and slams his face into the desk to wake him up. - Opening with a close up of Todoroki's phone messages to Midoriya, with the last one at 1:03am simply saying: "I'm fine, just a little sad I guess." It suddenly cuts to the window to Todoroki's room, with only a second of silence before a glowing and pyjama-clad Midoriya slams into the glass via Full Cowl, his smooshed mouth barely allowing him to mumble "I'm here!" against the glass. - Another instance of Midoriya using Full Cowl, only this time it's a bewildered Ojiro saying to the camera "I just messaged the group chat to ask if anyone had milk. Then this kid," he steps out of the frame to zoom into Midoriya casually pouring milk into a bowl of cereal at Ojiro's desk while also giving a thumbs up, "fucking climbs through my window at 3 in the morning to give me it. Insane." - A short clip that's just cut-shots of Kirishima and Tetsutestu screaming "BRO" at each other while working out. - Clearly stealthy taken video of Yaomomo absently pulling paper chains in the shape of flowers from her wrist at lunch, before the camera zooms into the pile already growing on the floor. - Just like those college videos of kids sleeping at random places on campus around finals, only it's Aizawa in his sleeping bag as several kids whisper "what the fuck" as they do shit like open the supply closet to let his limp form suddenly fall out onto the floor, still asleep. - Compilation of Kaminari saying "it's lit" with sparks between his fingers, and usually groaning heard in the background. "What up, I'm jared. I'm 19. And I never fucking learnt how to read" is being muttered in decent English by Shouji as he zooms in on Sero standing up from his desk and stuttering in Present Mics class.
Alright this is gonna be a random weird question but here we go anyaway. The volleyball team I was on in high school had this game where we had to yell bingo, bango, or bongo every time someone touched the ball. In that order. So I saw your blog title, promptly had a war flashback, and decided to ask: DOES YOUR BLOG TITLE HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THAT SILLY VOLLEYBALL PRACTICE GAME
Sorry for the late reply but I'm sorry to say that my title doesn't come from a volleyball game. It's actually slightly referencing Lars' "bingo bongo", but it's also just a dumb saying that mutated from several family anecdotes. So unfortunately it doesn't relate to your wild volleyball days but it's funny that my simple title brings up such specific memories.
If you ever feel embarrassed about yourself, please know I was clearing out stuff from my phone today and I found an old alarm that I had once used for school titled, "FRICKITY FRACKLES TIME TO FUCK JENSEN ACKLES", and I am so glad I'm past that point in my life.
After watching FMA03 and getting to see the glorious sight of Winry pick locks in a matter of seconds (as well as the empowering duo of Winry and Sheska), I absolutely delight in headcannoning that Edward has no idea that she can do any of her neat tricks. More than once on their trips Winry has shown herself to be true MVP by fixing busted up vehicles and rigging up devices to fix situations that Ed's fists won't fix. Cue a situation (that's 110% Ed's fault, thank you very much) in which Winry and Ed are being held captive, chains and all. Ed doesn't have his alchemy anymore so he can't just bust through the chains, and it's tearing him up that he's putting Winry through this, especially after what happened at Briggs, she must be so scared and-- Meanwhile off to the side, Winry has already wriggled her tools from her sleeves, picked her locks, and is currently delightfully going through the dangerous materials the bad guys so stupidly left for them beside a bunch of scrap metal. A matter of seconds later, Winry has busted a shellshocked Ed from his chains and is shoving him up the stairs, nervously yet gleefully laughing all the way. "Winry, what the hell is going on?" Ed splutters as Winry uses her bare hands, toughened by years of automail work, to rip boards from the wall to make their exit. "How'd you get out? What's the rush? What the fuck, Win?" Winry giggles. "The bombs about to go off Ed. We gotta go." "BOMB? What bo-!" (On that day Ed was reminded of how terrifyingly brilliant his wife was, and how glad he was she had never been his enemy.)
Okay so one thing I get really frustrated with in post-canon FMA fanfics is how Winry always gets portrayed as frustrated, or even downright hating the fact that Ed is very much a wandering soul.
Disregard the fact that her last line in FMA:B is literally along the lines of “men who stay still are boring”.
Disregard that Winry always supported Ed and Al’s decisions to travel because she knew how much they needed to get distance, and later supported it because she knew that they just wanted to see the world.
Disregard Winry instantly jumping on the chance to travel whenever offered, including yearly travelling to Rush Valley and a clear enjoyment of her trip north before everything went to shit.
Just know that Winry, seven months pregnant and struggling to get around, just starts shoving shit into suitcases cause there was a skirmish to the west that resulted in plenty of casualties, including amputees, and fuck if they don’t need the greatest automail mechanic there to help them out. Es gets a few words of protest in before unceremoniously getting thrown into the train, Winry eagerly jumping in behind him cause she’s needed elsewhere and nothing will slow her down, not even pregnancy.
Down the line, family trips are common. Only they aren’t trips into Central like most country folk take. No. The Elric-Rockbells are wanders at heart, and the people on the railroads know each of their faces intimately due to their yearly trips to Xing, and their constant roaming across the country offering automail and handyman services.
They miss home on the road, but wouldn’t give up on seeing the world for anything.
Okay so I just started watching FMA03 after finishing brotherhood, and while the plot line is one of the most clearest differences between the two, the characterisation is another distinct one. Namely that of Ed's characterisation. Don't get me wrong, he's still short, short-tempered about his shortness, and devious as hell. However, FMA03 really does emphasise how much of a kid he is, and with that comes a more....hmmmm...quieter charm to him? He is much more approachable and earnest to please than the other Ed, and one of the best results of this is his relationships with others. In Brotherhood, people remarked how his determination and loyalty earned him their respect, despite his shitty attitude. He also showed no interest in anyone but Winry, and no one showed interest in him bar her. Edwin will always be one of the best romances ever written, but it still is slightly unrealistic that not a single person Ed met his age didn't at least get a little crush on him. May doesn't count as when she actually met him she was severely unimpressed, but aside from her no one showed interest in this absolute golden beauty. That's when you jump to 03 and get your absolute fix of a wild range of teens meeting him and basically low key falling in love. Clause (who I firmly headcannon as gender fluid or non-binary, rather than brushed over as a cross dressing girl for no apparent reason??) is enraptured after she gets to know him, Rose is amazed by his bravery and perseverance, and Russell literally writes him the gayest note declaring he admires Ed. Basically, what I'm getting at is FMA03 gives us Ed the golden bisexual icon we all need. Amen.

The FMA:B sacred star movie is hilarious because Al, sweet and chivalrous Al, saves the beloved girl warrior of the valley and is almost immediately called a monster and captured. Meanwhile, Ed the absolute bastard rocks on down to the valley, makes mud monsters to capture the valley people, and then takes one as a prisoner at sword-point. Then almost instantly makes friends with his hostage and everyone else around him. Edward Elric is like a DnD lawful good character with an awful personality that somehow manages to get out of every bad situation from the unholy amount of points he's dumped into his charisma.
Me, at the start of FMA: B: oh man it’s so cool that Central is shaped like a transmutation circle. What a nifty little extra nod to alchemy by the designers.
Me, 30 eps later: OH NO OH NO OH NO OH NO!!!!!
Wait! Fuck! I was so wrong!! Damn it. (I'll just use the scene to fuel my devout pansexual Sinbad headcannons)
Artemyra, a city run entirely by females, has a red light district.
You know what that means???
BEAUTIFUL BIRD LESBIANS THAT CAN AND WILL CRUSH ANY MAN!!!

Them: Sinbad is my pure cinnamon roll! He’s so gorgeous, and an amazing king! He’s too precious for this world!
Me, an intellectual: Sinbad is 100% aware of his good looks and leadership abilities, and is cunning enough to utilise them to meet his end goals. Despite his goofy behaviour, he is more than capable of using brute force and scare tactics to win with barely any resistance.
Sinbad is not a pure person, let alone a truly lawful man. He is the summary of chaotic good, and often to the extent of chaotic neutral, and is one of the most terrifying characters in Magi for his ability to win everyone’s heart and get his way while always being labelled “the good guy”.
First and foremost, the world building within Magi is simply phenomenal. Within a matter of episodes you have an in-depth understanding of the social, political and economic structure of the world without burning hardly any brain cells. And the series does one of the most amazing jobs I've ever seen in anime by directly addressing the horrific issues that come with this world. There is no pussy footing around when it comes to slavery. It isn't censored or looked at through rose-coloured glasses. It's depicted as the fucking crime against humanity it is. Additionally Morgiana's history as a slave isn't glossed over, or made into a small facet of her being vulnerable to make her fit into the damsel-in-distress love archetype. Instead the creators blatantly show her struggling with PTSD and doing her best to deal with it by freeing others. The show also deals brilliantly with all aspects of anxiety, with majority of Alibaba's character growth coming from facing and learning to cope with the fact that he does have anxiety, and understanding that parts aren't due to himself and his failures, but rather the treatment he was given by others and their overbearing expectations; something that all people with anxiety can relate to as self-loathing is difficult to admit, let alone try to overcome. Sahbmad the deputy King further solidifies Magi's place as a work of social commentary and attempts to normalise and address issues like anxiety. The man faces literally crippling social and general anxiety, yet he becomes one of the greatest heroes of the series for all of us who have struggled with anxiety before by fucking standing up to his (abusive) brother and setting things right. Alibaba's support for him only further supports the fact that anxiety is real and common, but also that it can be dealt with by the aid of others and admitting that there is something wrong in the first place. These are only a few social issues addressed in Magi, and the addition of moments like indicating that Alibaba's mother's job as a prostitute was something to be respected rather than be ashamed of, as she was only caring for her kids, solidifies the show as one of the most underrated woke shows out there. For the love of every god please watch Magi you won't be disappointed.
Are you still writing stories anywhere? Or are you done altogether, not just on Fanfiction?
I have only posted on FF, and it’s been over two years since I last posted. However, I have finished my schooling for now and have suddenly gained a lot of free time. Thus, I actually have a pretty good outline of my story Mimic coming together, and the tentative beginnings of FtVttH. I won’t be writing them in a traditional sense as they are massive projects, but rather in a summary form with detailed interactions and lots of head cannons within it.
