Like both of them were resurrected by a “mysterious magic woman” but with major complications? Or I guess Lucien losing his memory was a complication that may have been due to it being one of the first times this experiment was done. Later on, Nott’s transformation was maybe an experiment to see if memories could be retained even if the body was altered. And this could be a reach, but what if these experiments had ties to Lucien’s desire to gain immortality, and that could potentially be done by getting new bodies every time you die?? Or changing to a long-lived race?? Or a more powerful one?
