I'm just gonna say it, if you liked the hunger games series and are looking for another book similar, try: Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi.

The main series has six book with three more after (which I'm yet to read).

It follows a young girl by the name of Juliette who lives in a world that's dying because of global warming. A simple touch from her skin can result in death. Now the new government, known as the Reestablishment, plans to use her as a weapon to keep rebels in place.

Throughout the series there's themes of dystopia, mental and physical isolation, rebellion, friendship, romance and war.

The age rating for this series is 12+

I read this series in less than a week, it's addictive.

Bohemian Rhapsody, A Maruaders Prank

Minervra Mcgonagall was sat in her warm office one Saturday afternoon, grading papers and catching up on work since the previous week, the first week of april, she had spent chasing around her four Gryffindor boys, trying to stop their April fools pranks.

Mid afternoon, during the time all the students would be in the Great Hall for lunch, an owl swooped in through the open window and dropped a letter, before flying out again. Minevra picked up the letter and saw her name in a neat but unfamiliar. She flipped the envelope over in her hand, there was no seal. Minevra slipped the letter out and unfolded the single piece of parchment. Written in a different writing from what was on the envelope was five, unusual words;

Mumma, just killed a man

Minevra froze for a moment. Deciding it was probably just a prank or a mistake, she sat the letter to the side and continued on either her work.

A few minutes later, in swooped another owl. The writting on the envelope wasn't the same as the one before or the one in the writting, so she assumed it wasn't the same people. The letter wasn't sealed so she slipped the parchment out and unfolded it.

Put a gun against his head

This time, fear coursed through her. A gun? Surely not. She wasn't an auror or muggle police, this wasn't her job. So, she sat the letter aside and continued with her work.

An hour went on with no letters. Minevra sat in her office, listening to the fire while trying to work but her mind kept returning to the two pieces of parchment on her left.

Suddenly, another owl swooped in, dropped a letter and flew off. The name on the letter, her name, was written by the same person as who wrote the last letter. Still no seal. Minevra took a breath and slipped out the letter.

Pulled my trigger now he's dead

Before she could react, two more owls swooped in an dropped two more letters.

The first of the two said

Mumma

And the other

Life had just begun

Minevra played the words over and over in her head. They seemed familiar. But where from?

As she thought about it, in flew another owl. The letter in this, the same as the last few, said

But now I've gone and thrown it all away

That's it! The professor jumped from her chair, knocking it to the ground. She transformed into the tabby cat and made her way to the owlry.

As she climbed the stairs she heard a bark of laughter and knew she was in the right place. There, sat in the owlry, amongst pieces of parchment and envelopes, sat the four Gryffindor boys she'd adopted, unofficially, as her sons, laughing and giggling as James Potter scribbled down the words Remus Lupin was telling him too.

"Minnie's going to be so mad!" Peter grinned.

"Nah, I think she'd like to be delivered the lyrics of bohemian rhapsody, line by line." Sirius said sarcastically.

The wise words Marlene once said to Remus while they smoked weed on the roof of Gryffindor Tower. It turned into a twenty minute heated, stoned conversation before Lily finally found them.

I've been thinking about this alot recently so here's how I think the aftermath of 'The Prank' went.

Remus didn't speak to anyone for a few weeks and didn't leave his bed.

The first person he spoke to was lily. She knew he was a werewolf but hadn't told him she knew and he worked out she knew but they didn't talk about it.

For months afterwards he wouldn't let the boys join him on full Moons.

He never spoke back about Snape again until he called lily a mudblood.

He was the first to forgive Sirius, though it was months after.

Peter didn't talk to sirius at all and always checked on Remus.

He brought Remus chocolate and treats all the time.

He made sure to take notes for Remus in classes he missed and help him with the homework.

James had multiple arguments with Sirius.

He was the last to forgive him.

He would blow up if sirius said a single word in the dorm.

He did whatever Remus asked him to.

There's was a whole argument on the train on the way back to hogwarts after the summer where sirius tried to come sit in the compartment (while no one was talking to him) and James throw him out and gave him a black eye.

The biggest, and one of the only two, arguments James and Sirius ever had.

Sirius tried for the first few weeks to apologise but Mary told him to leave them and they'd come around.

He would leave chocolate and books on remus' trunk for him but they just kept piling up because Remus ignored them.

He spent most of his time alone in the astronomy tower, avoiding the dorm, and often bumped into Regulus there.

He felt awful obviously and never fully forgave himself even when Remus did.

After Remus forgave him he spent months trying to make it upto him.

Every year on the anniversary, though he was the only one who remembered the date, he'd spoil Remus with gifts and love.

James is a morning person. He gets up at like five am, runs a lap around hogwarts then goes for a cold shower all before the rest wake up. Then he helps them get ready, like finds Peters wand for him and sirius' tie because he's the mum friend.

Sirius and James would text harrys kids while they were at hogwarts and when James Sirius starts using abbreviations, they try it too. They abbreviate EVERYTHING. So much that their messages make no sense. Remus new how to use abbreviations and understand James and Sirius' tho so we're all fine.

Sirius: Hey, mfns hrudt?

James Sirius: Huh?

James Sirius: Moony? What does mfns hrudt mean?

Remus: padfoot messaged u?

James Sirius: yup

Remus: it means, my favourite name sake, how r u doing today, I believe.

James: hello, gs!

James Sirius: Gs?

James: Grandson!

James Sirius: ...no...please no

I strongly believe that Sirius didn't have perfect hair. Everyone's always talking about how sirius' hair was something he cared about so much and would never do anything to damage it.

Sirius' hair is so damaged and has so many split ends. He has a different look every week because he had no freedom to do what he wanted with his appearance as a child. And, as I said, he's dramatic!

The maruaders are feminist. If they lived as teens rn, in 2022, they'd be obsessed with Taylor Swift and Girl in Red, they'd hate on Andrew Tate so much, they'd absolutely adore Alice Oseman (especially Remus, he'd have all her books), they'd argue with old math teachers who've lived decades longer than they should have and say awful shit to girls, they'd love Jenna Ortega and our feminist queen, Emma Watson.

Yes, I'm a maruaders Stan and I adore Wolfstar but I still love Remus and Tonks.

In my mind, their best friends with benefits. Remus lost sirius, Tonks lost her gf (not canon). They were lonely. Remus got Tonks pregnant and since ts frowned upon to be pregnant in the wizarding world and not married, they got married and planned to raise Teddy as besties and tell him the truth when he could understand. Then they were killed and didn't get the chance to tell anyone the truth...
