Yes, I'm a maruaders Stan and I adore Wolfstar but I still love Remus and Tonks.

In my mind, their best friends with benefits. Remus lost sirius, Tonks lost her gf (not canon). They were lonely. Remus got Tonks pregnant and since ts frowned upon to be pregnant in the wizarding world and not married, they got married and planned to raise Teddy as besties and tell him the truth when he could understand. Then they were killed and didn't get the chance to tell anyone the truth...

When I think of the years he drank, the scars on his chin, his thinning hair, his eye that still weeps decades after the blow, my knees weaken with gratitude for whatever kept him safe, whatever stopped the glass from cracking and shearing something vital, the fist from lowering, exploding an artery, pressing the clot of blood toward the back of his brain. The maruaders are feminist. If they lived as teens rn, in 2022, they'd be obsessed with Taylor Swift and Girl in Red, they'd hate on Andrew Tate so much, they'd absolutely adore Alice Oseman (especially Remus, he'd have all her books), they'd argue with old math teachers who've lived decades longer than they should have and say awful shit to girls, they'd love Jenna Ortega and our feminist queen, Emma Watson.

Saw someone on here refer to Sirius and Remus as “two British cigarettes” today and I just can’t stop laughing. Peak queer humor.

My dad was dealing with some mixed feelings so I told him "In therapy when something is too complicated to do a simple 'pro and contra list' we sometimes do an excercise where you imagine all these mixed feelings around a table in some kind of conference, letting each tell their bit and you leading the debate."
