Dad: that’s good, but you need to have space between the words.
Me: *confusedly starts adding stars to my sentences*
Dad: aha, no, not that kind of space
Me: the space needle?
Dad: no, like you need to put nothing between the words
Me: that’s what I’m doing!
Dad: *sweating* ah, but not that kind of nothing..
It took me over a decade to figure out that I was mistaking hunger for thirst. All those bathroom trips and for what
I am screaming a lot on the inside and a little on the outside
Something that always bothers me about the progressive removal of culture from the batfamily (other than the obvious) is that… if you don’t understand where Dick Grayson and his family come from, Robin makes no sense. Why would Batman, Mr. Greyscale camouflage, allow his partner and protege to dress up like a moving target? A traffic light? To understand, you have to acknowledge why he chose those colors, and what they mean to him and his family. That may have gotten lost over the years as the mantle was passed, but the original costume had meaning to a grieving child.
Top 3 most unfortunate things I have mixed up while not wearing my glasses:
-my contact solution w/ mom’s hydrogen peroxide contact cleaner
-orajel and wart remover
-my prescription ointment and travel toothpaste
This is what I mean btw
I’m gleeful to announce that our Beloved Bread Wyrm plush has found over 200 homes so far! I’m not alone in wanting to be surrounded by dragons, and I’m happy and thankful that so many of you have sought this little friend out as a companion. The campaign is still going for 7 more days, so I thought to share some behind-the-scenes stuff:
This is the original blueprint I drew for Makeship: a detailed front and side view. I wanted to accentuate the eyes to have that crazed, intense, draconic look. The one that says: I’m huge, I’m terrifying, I’ll dig through your pantry and steal all your silverware. So while my art looks like the dragon’s sizing up a basket of bread, the plush really looks like it already swallowed an entire baguette.
Honestly being a comic artist is wild sometimes. When I first made the comic I hung the plush from my ceiling lamp with a computer cable (didn’t have a rope) and the whole thing CAME crashing down 😐 Seriously dragons are NOT beginner pets, opt for a clothesline if you attempt such a stupid thing.
And just some photos I really like!
And my little sister posing like it’s a damn fish
For fun:
-hnarglebarg

Calling someones attention to something or to my presence:
-heehoo
-eh!
-hm!
-ezqueedly me
Expression of discomfort:
-mmmMMMM 😡
-*big sigh of chest hurts from anxiety*
-*narrating everything I’m doing with lots of “um” and “ok, uh,” etc*
-*musical fake laughter*
-I contain multitudes
-what’s your favorite day of the month?
Sounds of “I want something from you” usually accompanied by gestures:
-M!
-N!
-Eh!
-*name of person said dramatically*
Notes: I am not a child I just struggle with word finding and formulating my thoughts, especially when I’m struggling with my senses.
Most of the people I spend a significant amount of time with start using some of my stims and odd forms of communication. I often don’t need to do anything other than hum the correct intonation of a phrase to get my point across.
If you don’t know why I would say random things when stressed, its a combo of when I was figuring out (and making fun of) small talk combined with “I need something to leave my body and rn it’s gonna be words”
People who use the hot water during ur shower will be like “I only used it for a second!”
Oh, ok then. So you’re fine with One ice cube down your shirt.
Context: Im building a themed give and take cupboard, as a sort of combo btwn a free little library and geocaches
Ink drawing of ideas for improvement for my city
I’m not a city designer this is just what I think would be cool - don’t come for me lol
Diff things u can see looking closely:
-solar panels shading a pedestrian crossing (we have a lot of ppl who walk on the side of the hwy)
-rain runoff goes into garden w/ grab n eat plants
-support columns have wedges on sides for nesting since the birds are already shoving themselves into the crannies of the underside
-water mill since we have a fairly big river
-buildings have smaller-scale wind turbines and/or solar panels to support their energy output
-more plants in the city itself! Not just pollen producing trees
-there’s a light rail that goes thru the nearby cities
-continuing to protect the “protected wildlife” areas
