The start of a new adventure

"The sounds of machinery and electricity running can be heard from McDuck Labs.

Most would think this was just another of Dr. Gearloose’s inventions, but they'd be wrong inside the lab.

Three figures could be seen as they are hard at work on the very machine itself.

Dr. Gear loose was running diagnostics on the software of the machine, Dr. Crackshell-Cabrera was handling the programming and was on stand-by with the gizmo duck armor in case of any problems with the machine while their latest intern, 18 yr old Huey Duck was keeping record of the first testing.

Nearby Darkwing Duck, Launchpad McQuack, Dewey Duck, and Gosalyn Waddlemeyer can be seen just nearby, but wait, why are they there, you ask? Well, the machine in question is none other than the ramrod itself' the very machine that almost folded the fabric of existence itself the very same one that brought Professor Waddlemeyer to an unknown universe.

Today they are beginning the testing phase of the ramrod after 7 years since its initial deactivation.As the scientists continued their work, Gosalyn looked unsure of the situation, she was excited that they could finally find her grandfather but was worried about what might have happened to him.

Unknown to Gosalyn Dewey noticed her worry.“Hey Gos you feeling okay” Dewey saysShe looks at him, realizing she had been too quiet.“Yeah just thinking” Gosalyn told him.Dewey looked at her. After 7 years of being her friend, he knew when something was bothering her.

"Gos are you worried something might happen". Dewey said.

Gosalyn looked at him kinda shocked he knew what she was worried about but realized she couldnt lie to him since he knew her too well.

"Its just that its been 7 years since it happened it just makes me wonder what happened to him" Gosalyn said.

Dewey saw the distraught in her eyes and the worry on her face as she said that.

"Gos everything is gonna be fine if your grandpa is every bit as amazing as you said he is than I just know he'd do anything to get back to you" Dewey said"I know that its just getting harder to hold on for hope after this long I really want to believe he's still out there but its just getting harder to do" Gosalyn said"Gos i know its hard searching for someone that might be gone just hold on hope we can Dewey this" Dewey said with a smile.Gosalyn just rolled her eyes at the pun but smiled at his words.Gosalyn and Dewey walked towards Gyro to check if testing is done.

"Hey Bowtie is it almost ready?" Gosalyn said as she approached him.

"Just finishing the last of the procedures and we’ll be good to go ponytail" Gyro had said under a secrion of the machine.

"So uh not to sound dumb or anything but how does it exactly work" Drake said.

"Unlike the first version of the ramrod this will be a gateway to other dimensions instead of punching holes into them once the testing phase is complete we can help Gosalyn find her grandfather" Huey said.

"I think that should do it what do you think doctor Gearloose" Fenton said after adjusting the coding.

"Hmm it seems fine though have red intern have a look at it Dr intern" Gyro said.

Fenton called Huey over to check it out. Huey double checked the coding and it seemed to be fine with nothing out of the ordinary about it and it seemed to be fine.

"It seems fine to me and the safety precautions have all been handled so I think we can start testing what do you think doctor Gearloose? " Huey said.

"Well everything seems to be in order so I think we can start" Gyro said while double checking the everything one last time.

"Alright than everyone stand on the other side of the yellow line were about to begin testing" Gyro said while starting the machine.

Boyd and HDL

-been thinking about how Boyd's story was heavily influenced by the connections he's made between 2/3 triplets

-When we first meet Boyd he's under Mark Beaks influence

-we think that Beaks made him because of how similar they look being based on the same species as bird (this is later to be revealed as a red herring)

-Beaks changed his programming so he genuinely believed that he is his biological child

-Louie once realizing that Beaks was cheating with a robot he makes it so Boyd malfunctions to reveal the truth

-Louie made it so Boyd was restarted and went back to his own original programming and began to start being his own person again. He also made it so he had his own home and family with the Drakes no longer under the control of Doofus.

-from their Boyd was able to slowly rediscover himself and explore his interests like joining the junior woodchucks

-basically Louie helped the ball rolling with Boyd becoming his own person

-Then as a woodchuck Boyd was able to make friends with Huey the first person his age he felt an honest and close bond with

-Huey helped him clear up his memories of his past, befriend Fenton and reconnect with Gyro after all these years apart

-that makes me wonder if there was scraped plans for Dewey to befriend and help Boyd with his journey of self discovery?

-I'm imagining with Boyd also wanted to be a hero again like Gizmoduck but be one in his own way unlike how he was trained in the past

-I could see both Gyro and Fenton being nervous about him being a hero due to his past and wanting him to be safe and a normal kid with no hero responsibilities

-so maybe Dewey sees this and is like "I know another hero who can help guide you" and he takes him to Darkwing and Launchpad to teach him in how to be a hero

-I can totally see Boyd realizing that even though he's buildt with all this cool tech and powers that he doesn't want to go down the traditional superhero path

-instead he helps with things like safety, picking up collateral damage that heroes and villains cause while fighting, making sure civilians are safe and away from danger while heroes are fighting. He only really steps up and takes down villains when it is necessary or help was requested.

-Maybe that's how Boyd meets and connects with Gos before the series finale

-that also makes me wonder about how if they had time to explore Gos, Dewey's and Boyd's dynamic. I think that Boyd would have been the closest thing to Honker and Gos in the OG DW. But like less shy and more worried and he'd keep Dewey and Gos's recklessness grounded.
