Pairing: Dh!Master x Reader
Word Count: 4900
Summary: The Doctor and the fam are hanging out on the TARDIS one day when they realise they haven’t seen you or The Master all day, none of them quite expect the sight that greets them when they find you.
Warnings: none
A/N: Reader is gender neutral in this. Also yay! I finally have time to write and post! I have a lot of fics planned, so hopefully I’ll be able to find the time to write them over winter break, tho I do have a shit ton of uni work still to do 😅
It was quiet, that wasn’t completely unusual on the TARDIS, but considering the recent addition of The Master to Team TARDIS it had The Doctor on edge. He’d begrudgingly joined them on their adventures after The Doctor had come across him moping about at the edge of a deserted galaxy, The Master hadn’t even been destroying anything, he was just sitting all alone on what he’d called an unimportant planet. The Doctor, of course, had been concerned by his uncharacteristic behaviour and had forced encouraged him to join them aboard the TARDIS. Understandably, her fam had objected, especially after he started to occupy himself by finding as many ways to inconvenience her friends as possible.
It had been eight months since The Master had joined them, and he had yet to stop annoying Graham, Ryan and Yaz - despite the numerous interventions and talks she had had with him about it. Much to The Doctor’s surprise, she never found you complaining about The Master’s antics, though she had suspected that he had developed a bit of a soft spot for you. After all, you had been the first out of her friends to welcome him - probably helped by the fact that you joined the group after The Master revealed himself, and thus only met him eight months back.
Recently The Doctor realised that she’d grown used to this new normal, that she was used to the occasional yelling of her friends after The Master had yet again hid half of their clothes, or simply jump-scared them - often accompanied by The Master’s maniacal laughter. However, she had yet to hear anything like that this morning, not one complaint about missing items from her fam, not one cackle out of The Master, she hadn’t even seen anyone all morning.
It was almost peaceful.
Which definitely meant that something was wrong.
Quickly The Doctor got up, abandoned her tools, and headed in the direction of the kitchen. It was about lunchtime, which meant that her friends would probably be gathered together making food, she just hoped that one of them would have seen The Master. Of course, she’d usually just ask the TARDIS where he was, but the circuits she’d been upgrading were the internal communication circuits, so that was currently out of the question.
“FAM!” The Doctor exclaimed as soon as she rounded the corner, standing dramatically in the doorway to the kitchen.
All of her friends had startled as soon as she appeared, it made her feel bad, but she currently had more pressing matters to focus on.
“Have any of you seen The Master today?!”
“…uh, no?” Ryan was the first to answer, still looking a little shocked from her entrance but trying to play it cool.
Graham took a dramatic sigh before answering, “Not yet luckily.”
“I haven’t either, why’re you asking?” Yaz replied, pausing making her lunch and turning all of her attention to The Doctor.
“It’s quiet, too quiet, and I haven’t seen him since last night. Which most likely means that he’s up to something.”
Graham groaned, “Why do we have to assume he’s up to something? Can’t we at least wait until after lunch to assume he’s doing something evil?”
The Doctor simply gave him a look, causing him to groan again, though he put his sandwich down. However she was quickly distracted by a nagging feeling in the back of her mind, she was missing something, something obvious. She looked back at her friends, and then she realised.
“Where’s Y/N?”
Her friends seemed to only notice your absence once it was pointed out, all looking around the room before looking back at The Doctor with blank faces.
“I haven’t seen them since last night.” Yaz told her.
“Me neither.” Ryan and Graham agreed with her.
Suddenly The Doctor felt a sinking feeling in her stomach. You were clearly The Master’s favourite out of the fam, what if he’d done something to you? Naively, The Doctor had hoped he was developing a soft spot for you - but what if it was simply an obsession? What if this had been his plan all along, to get close enough to harm you?
The fam seemed to come to a similar conclusion, horror dawning on all their faces.
“You don’t think-“
The Doctor didn’t give Ryan an answer, just turned around and ran through the TARDIS halls. She’d been at the TARDIS console most of the night, so at least she knew the two of you were still on board. Her first instinct was to head to the library, both you and The Master spent a fair amount of time there, it would have been the perfect place for an ambush.
The Doctor slowed once she entered the library, and she could hear the footsteps of her fam slow down as well. The library was surprisingly quiet as well, but The Doctor was still on edge. The fam followed her and she weaved her way through the aisles, coming to a sudden stop right before the rows of bookshelves gave way to one of the reading areas.
Nothing could have prepared her for the sight that greeted them. On one of the plush purple sofas The Master was laying down, fast asleep. That in itself would have been enough to shock The Doctor. However he wasn’t alone, you were laying next to him, curled into his side and fast asleep as well.
Huh.
The Doctor had known that The Master was developing a soft spot for you, but she definitely didn’t suspect anything like this. It was almost cute.
“Are they- Are they actually cuddling?” Graham was the first to speak, slightly startling the rest of them despite his voice being barely above a whisper.
“Uhhh… yeah, certainly seems like it.”
“Does anyone else think this is horrifying yet adorable?” Yaz queried, gaining agreement from the rest of them. “Glad it’s not just me.”
“What do we do? Do we wake them up?” Ryan asked.
“Yeah, what if he’s done that hypno- whatsit on Y/N?” Graham butted in.
“Hypnotism, I mean it would be a very odd thing to hypnotise Y/N to do, but we can’t rule it out I suppose.” The Doctor’s thoughts were zipping around in her brains, desperately trying to find all the signs she missed.
And there was so much she missed.
The Master’s ‘practical jokes’ had been lessening lately - both in frequency and maliciousness. The Doctor had chalked this up to him finally starting to settle in properly, but maybe that was the result of him spending more time with you? She hadn’t seen you around as much either, but with four humans plus The Master on board, she had hardly noticed. Then, the most obvious, there was the fact that the two of you had started to pair off more on adventures. Honestly, she had just thought that you were becoming good friends!
Maybe you were just friends? After all, friends were allowed to hug each other. Sure, the position you were in definitely leant more towards romantic entanglement rather than platonic, but that didn’t always mean something.
Just when The Doctor was about to reply, she and the fam were distracted by movement on the couch. You stretched slightly, but then snuggled even closer to The Master, your face smushing into his neck as you smiled. In turn The Master hummed contentedly, somehow bringing you even closer and wrapping his arms around you protectively. The Doctor could have sworn she saw a smile on his face.
Okay, probably not just friends.
The Doctor didn’t know what to do, she hadn’t considered this possibility. Regrettably, she was not prepared for The Master being romantically involved with you at all, which meant that she needed time to think. Putting a finger up to her lips, she turned to her companions and gestured for them to return the way they had came. For now, you and The Master had no clue that the rest of them knew about whatever was going on between the two of you. So, she had time to think, to observe the two of you, to find out if he was hypnotising or manipulating you, or if whatever this was was something genuine on both your parts.
Once they were back out in the hallway The Doctor explained everything to the other members of the fam, all of them agreeing to keep an eye on the two of you. The Doctor then walked off back to the console room, she needed to be alone with her thoughts for a little while.
——
You were warm and cosy, that was what you registered first. Of course, it wasn’t unusual to be warm and cosy when you woke up, but these days it was a new constant in your life, all because of one (alien) man. The Master.
When he had come onboard the TARDIS eight months ago you, you would have never imagined how your relationship developed. He’d pissed you off at first, especially since most of his ‘pranks’ had been directed at you. Once he had decided to take all of your jumpers and hoodies, just after you had returned from a particularly frosty adventure in Antarctica, causing you to confront him.
“You!” You sneered accusingly at The Master, who was lounged on one of the sofas in the library.
He placed his book down and raised an eyebrow, “Can I help you?”
“Give me my jumpers and hoodies back, now.” You tried to sound demanding, but you were still shivering from the lingering cold.
“No.” He smirked at you.
“No? What do you mean no?! I’m cold! I need layers to keep warm!” You pouted at him, unable to keep up the scary demeanour.
He chuckled slightly, “Well, that’s easily solved.” And then he lifted up the blanket that was laying over him and shuffled to make room for you.
You simply stood there in shock, not quite believing that The Master of all beings was inviting you to cuddle with him!
“Come on love, if you stand there any longer you’ll probably end up freezing to death.”
Hesitantly, you stepped closer and closer to the sofa, until you were stood inches from The Master, looking down at him. He offered his hand to you, and you gave him yours in turn. Then, slowly, he pulled you down into his hold, and covered you with the blanket. With his warmth enveloping you, you soon stopped shivering, though you didn’t leave him.
After that, cuddles in the TARDIS library became a regular for the two of you, soon turning into cuddles and kisses in your respective bedrooms, sneakily holding hands on adventures, and being there for one another behind closed doors. You loved him, not that you had told him yet, but you truly did.
Part of your hesitancy towards telling him was due to the fact that you were still keeping your relationship hidden from your friends. It wasn’t as though you didn’t want to tell your friends, you just didn’t know how to tell them, and you were scared for their reactions.
Pushing those thoughts to the back of your mind you stretched and finally opened your eyes. Your first sight was The Master, still asleep, and you took a moment to appreciate him. Then you took in your surroundings and your heart leapt in your chest as you realised you had fallen asleep in the library, where anyone could have walked in.
“Master.” You shook him slightly.
He woke with a questioning hum, sleepy eyes looking at you with curiosity.
“We fell asleep in the library.” You half-whispered.
“…And?” The Master replied.
“Anyone could have walked in and seen us!”
“Mm, but they didn’t love, otherwise we would have been woken up.” He told you, his voice still rough from sleep, as he pulled you closer again.
You didn’t reply, instead giving him a worried look. He sighed and sat up, moving you with him.
“It’ll be okay love,” He cupped your face with both his hands, observing you until he seemed satisfied that you believed his words - and you did believe him, even if you needed a little reassurance sometimes.
The Master smiled at you, “Come on, shower and breakfast is in order.”
“More like brunch by now.” You retorted, checking your phone to see that it was already past 11am.
The Master chuckled and lead you out of the library.
——
In the past week, nothing out of the ordinary had happened, at least nothing that was out of the ordinary for your life. A couple of trips back in time, a couple adventures on distant planets, an ungodly amount of running, and sneaking into The Master’s bedroom once your friends had gone to sleep each night. Yep, completely ordinary week for you.
Which is why your friends’ strange behaviour made absolutely no sense.
You couldn’t quite explain it, but they’d been acting weird around you, jumpy as though they were keeping something from you. However there weren’t any holidays coming up and your birthday had already passed this year, so their weird behaviour was worrying you.
You’d tried asking all of them about it individually, The Doctor had pretended not to hear while doing some engineering on the TARDIS, and the other three had come up with various excuses that you didn’t believe. It frustrated you that something was wrong but they weren’t willing to tell you. Luckily, you still had one person on the TARDIS who wasn’t acting weird around you.
You knocked on The Master’s door and let yourself in. His living space was becoming one of your favourite rooms on the TARDIS, it had dark wood panelled walls and an overall regal look with lots of purple accents. There was also a lot of clutter, mostly little projects and pieces for said projects. Occasionally you’d ask him about whatever he was working on, and he’d talk you through his whole process (secretly you’d only ask him to hear his voice, but he didn’t need to know that). He’d also gotten used to you being in his rooms, hence why you walked right in.
The Master was sat on his couch, reading a book that he placed on an end table once he saw you.
“Hello, love.” He grinned at you, making room for you to sit down next to him.
“Hello Master,” You smiled at him, cuddling into his chest as he wrapped an arm around you.
He hummed and nuzzled your neck, “How are you today, my darling?”
The combination of the pet name and him speaking so close to your ear caused you to shiver. It almost got rid of the knot of worry that had nestled itself in you, almost. The Master seemed to notice something was wrong, as he pulled back slightly so he could look at you properly.
“Have you noticed the others being kind of… off, this week?” You queried, not quite knowing how to word it.
“Quite honestly love, I don’t pay much attention to anyone else on this ship.” He smirked, and you rolled your eyes.
“You and I both know that’s not true, you may not like Ryan, Graham or Yaz, but they’re still my friends - which means you still keep an eye on them at the very least.” You retorted.
“Mmm, you know me so well.” He leaned in to kiss your cheek, causing you to relax further into him.
It had surprised you, at first, just how physically affectionate The Master was. You’d assumed after the first cuddle session that it would be a one off, that he’d kill you if you ever mentioned it to anyone (not that they’d believe you), but he’d only gotten more and more cuddly as your relationship had grown.
“Okay, yes, I have noticed they were behaving stranger than usual this week. I’d just assumed it was something to do with me, and I didn’t care enough to find out what.”
“Definitely not just you, they’ve been weird around me too. I tried to ask them what was wrong but they all made up little excuses and scurried off. The Doctor even pretended she didn’t hear me!” You exclaimed gesturing wildly, “I just- they’re my friends, and I’ve obviously done something to upset them, but I don’t know what!”
You flopped back into The Master’s hold and sighed, for a moment he simply held you close, rubbing circles on your back.
“Look, whatever it is they’ll probably get over it soon enough. It can’t be that bad if they’re still talking to you.” He reassured you, already helping you feel much calmer than you had all week.
“But, what if they found out about us somehow?”
“The Doctor probably would have kicked me off the TARDIS already love, and your friends would have helped her.” You glared at him, unamused.
“No they wouldn’t, I wouldn’t let them.”
The Master’s expression softened.
“Of course not love, I’m just teasing. I’m sure that whatever it is will be forgotten about soon enough.”
“Hopefully.”
“In the meantime, would it perhaps help if I could take your mind off them for a while?” The Master suggested, leaning in to kiss you again.
“Hmm, I think it might.” You replied with a giggle, kissing him back eagerly.
——
As The Master had predicted, your friends soon went back to normal. You still had no clue what had caused their strange behaviour, but you didn’t bring it up again. Instead you focused on your adventures and your relationship with The Master, separately of course.
After a few rather hectic adventures, The Doctor had decided that you all needed a bit of a break, in the form of a 38th century cruise spaceship. The Doctor had explained that there were many fun activities taking place on the cruise, but the main one was the ball. An evening of dancing, eating and socialising to help you and the rest of the fam relax a bit.
You were all looking forward to it, and you could tell The Master was excited too - not that he acted like it. Sometimes you thought he tried a little too hard to protect his reputation, but then you remembered just how lucky you were that he allowed you to see the real him when so many others were denied the chance.
Currently, you were in the TARDIS wardrobe getting ready for the ball with the others. You had elected to wear a simple black suit with a dark purple lining and accents, partially because you liked the look of it, and partially because you thought it would go with whatever The Master decided to wear. You may be hiding your relationship from your friends, but you still wanted the subtle sign that he was yours (and you were his in turn). Exiting your dressing room you smiled at Graham and The Doctor, both wearing suits as well.
“Nice suit, it suits you!” The Doctor told you, looking very pleased with her terrible pun.
You rolled your eyes and huffed out a laugh while Graham simply groaned. Ryan exited next, wearing a suit as well, tho it had a neon-coloured cubic pattern speckled over it. Then The Master exited.
He was wearing a black suit as well, though it had flowers embroidered in dark grey thread on it. He’d paired it with a reddish-purple waistcoat, a matching bow tie, and a dark grey shirt. He looked stunning, and in that moment you found yourself yearning for the freedom of a more public relationship, simply so you could tell him just how good you thought he looked. Instead you raked your eyes over his body and gave him an appreciative look, knowing he’d understand.
To your surprise he seemed to do the same to you, his eyes studying your appearance in a way that made you blush slightly, and giving you a far more suggestive look than you had given him. He was usually very subtle about your relationship, especially in front of The Doctor, but you weren’t going to complain in this moment.
Just then Yaz walked out of her dressing room, though your eyes lingered on The Master for a few moments longer. Taking advantage of the distraction, The Master winked at you, causing you to grin coyly before finally turning your attention to Yaz.
She was wearing a lovely rose gold coloured dress, it wasn’t overly flashy or attention grabbing, but you knew she’d still get a fair amount of admiration at the ball (though you suspected most of that would come from The Doctor).
The Doctor soon lead you all out of the wardrobe into the console room, piloting to your destination. You gazed in awe at the ship once the doors opened, it was decorated in a baroque-esque style and almost made you feel as though you didn’t quite belong in the ship. Still, you followed The Doctor through the hallways until you came to the ballroom. It was stunning, the room itself had the same baroque-esque look to it, though it was even more extravagant. Instinctively, you looked back to The Master and grinned, gaining a soft smile in return.
“Alright fam, all the food and drink should be good for human consumption - but if you’re unsure just ask! Let’s say two hours of mingling, then we’ll reconvene back here?” The Doctor addressed you all, gaining agreement before everyone started to dart off in different directions.
You had hoped that you would get some time alone with The Master, unfortunately it seemed that Yaz had other ideas as she invited you over to the bar with her to get some drinks.
An hour later you had finally managed to ditch your friends, it wasn’t as though you didn’t like hanging out with them - of course you did - but at an event like this you’d rather spend time with your partner. Once you found him you felt yourself relax, previously unaware of how tense you’d been without him. Larger social gatherings like this definitely made you anxious, but having The Master by your side helped a lot, mostly because you knew he’d never let anything bad happen to you.
He smiled at you and then nodded his head to the entrance. Intrigued, you followed him as he lead you out of the ballroom.
“Where are we going, Master?” You queried, grabbing a hold of his hand.
“You’ll see.”
Eventually the two of you came to another ballroom, though it was completely empty. There was a layer of dust over every surface, giving you the impression that this room hadn’t been used in a long time. The distant music from the party echoed through the halls into the ballroom giving it a haunted feel, but not a creepy kind of haunted, mor like the sort of haunted feeling you got from a placed that had so clearly been loved once, as though that love and warmth was still living in the walls.
After looking around the room you turned back to The Master, only to find him stood with one hand behind his back and the other stretched out towards you.
“Care to dance, my love?” He asked you charmingly, causing you to blush wildly.
“Of course, Master.” You replied, taking his hand eagerly and grinning.
He pulled you in close and began to guide you through a waltz, in time with the music from the ballroom. In that moment you felt as though you could spend the rest of your life with him, even if it was just the two of you alone in the universe, you’d always feel content by his side. That realisation seemed to finally give you the boost of confidence you had needed.
“I love you.”
The Master stopped dancing, looking at you with a mix of shock and awe.
“What?”
“I love you, Master. You don’t have to say it back, I just wanted you to know.” You told him truthfully.
“I love you too, so much.” He replied, grinning wide with tears in his eyes.
The Master leant in to kiss you, and your lips met his halfway. You’d kissed him hundreds of times before, but this time felt different, it felt perfect. The two of you started dancing again, still keeping in time with the music but completely lost in each other’s presence. The Master moved his arm around your waist, you rested your head on his shoulder and let the world fall away around the two of you.
——
The Doctor had been keeping a close eye on both you and The Master in the past few weeks, and to her surprise she had seen nothing sinister, nothing potentially dangerous. In fact, all she had seen was subtle glances and secretive smiles between the two of you, she’d caught both of you looking at the other while they were distracted, and neither of you had anything but love to look at each other with. On one occasion she’d even seen the two of you holding hands when faced with a particularly terrifying enemy!
The Doctor had known The Master for nearly his whole life, and therefore always knew that he had a softer side to him. What she never expected was for him to develop feelings for a human, considering his general hatred of Earth’s sentient inhabitants. She’d had her reservations at first, knowing full well that whatever was going on between the two of you could just be another one of his schemes. However, given how secretive the two of you were, and all the little interactions she’d witnessed, The Doctor believed that The Master had genuine feelings for you.
Nevertheless, The Doctor had continued to keep on the eye on the two of you - just in case. Therefore, she noticed pretty quickly when the both of you disappeared from the ballroom. At the end of the day The Master was still The Master, no matter how much progress he had seemed to make these past few months. Luckily, the rest of her fam had noticed your disappearances as well.
“Come on fam.” The Doctor started to lead the way out of the ballroom.
“Doc, are you sure we should go looking for them, I mean what if they’re, y’know…” Graham asked, looking rather uncomfortable.
“Snogging?” Ryan snickered.
“Yes, we should, because there’s still a chance that Y/N could be in danger.”
The Doctor continued on through the halls, looking through each of the rooms to see if she could find the two of you. Finally, she came to another ballroom and was surprised by the sight of the two of you slow dancing in each other’s arms.
Well, at least you weren’t in danger.
It seemed that she had sped off a bit too quickly, as Ryan, Graham and Yaz soon came jogging up behind her, startling both you and The Master (who hadn’t noticed her approach). For a few moments everyone stood and stared at each other in complete silence, no one knowing quite what to do. The Master still had his arms around your waist, and The Doctor could see that he tightened his grip on you, as though he was afraid you’d be taken from him.
You coughed, gaining everyone’s attention, “So, uhhh..”
“You two are together?” Yaz asked.
You looked to The Master and smiled softly, getting a small smile in return. “Yeah, we are.”
There was another moment of awkward silence before you spoke up again. “Wait, none of you seem surprised?”
“We caught you two sleeping on one of the library couches a couple weeks back.” Ryan told you, causing you to playfully hit The Master’s arm.
“I told you!”
The Master rolled his eyes, “How was I supposed to know? I was asleep as well!” He laughed along with you.
“Is that why you were all acting weird around us?” You queried.
“Yeah, sorry about that cockle, it was just a bit of a shock is all. Still is to be honest!” Graham chuckled, putting all of you at ease.
“How long have the two of you been together anyway?” Yaz asked.
“Uhh, just over four months now - right?” The Master nodded in response to your question.
“How did you two manage to keep it a secret for so long?” Ryan exclaimed.
“Lots of sneaking around, though it does help when your partner has alien hearing that’s at least 10 times better than humans’.” You replied, smirking in a way that showed how much you liked showing off about The Master.
On the way back to the TARDIS Graham, Ryan and Yaz asked you quite a lot of questions, most of which you answered happily while holding The Master’s hand. Despite having watched the two of you for the past few weeks to make sure this wasn’t just another one of The Master’s schemes, The Doctor finally felt as though she could relax. You were safe, and both of you were happy, she was glad that The Master had managed to find someone who he could be himself around, someone who he could love. Stopping just outside the TARDIS doors, you turned back to look at her.
“You’re alright with this, yeah?”
“You’re happy?” The Doctor asked, addressing the both of you.
“Very.” You replied, while The Master simply looked down at you and nodded.
“Good, I’m happy for you - both of you.” She made sure to address The Master, who looked slightly surprised before he rolled his eyes at her.
“Now, movie night?” She suggested, gaining nods of approval from everyone.
It was going to take some getting used to, but The Doctor was truly happy for the both of you. Later that evening she looked over to see that you had both fallen asleep in each other’s arms, she smiled looking at the two of you, glad you had each other.

------------------------------------------------------------
You could feel the Cybermasters staring at you. You knew that they now consumed the flesh of Gallifreyans, but, because of the way that their blank black eyes were following your movements, you assumed that part of their hardwire was still enticed by Humans. Or maybe the Cybermasters still retained some of their Gallifreyan memories and they did not understand why you, a Human, were the companion of The Master. Either way, you didn’t like them, and you wished that you weren’t here in their presence.
“Oh, but we have one more surprise in store for you, Doctor.” You could see from your hiding spot that The Master jumped up onto the platform where The Doctor was imprisoned. He got close to her to taunt her as he spoke. It looked as though he was looking through her, trying to see if he had already broken her or if his next act would accomplish that. Suddenly, The Master turned on his heel to look directly at you. His face was still tainted with hatred for The Doctor, but his face quickly morphed into comfort upon seeing you.
“Come forward, my love.” You looked around at the Cybermasters, some of whom were glaring at The Doctor, some followed The Master’s every move, and the others continued to watch you. You looked back at the Master. He turned slightly further to where The Doctor could not see his face, and he looked at you softly and motioned for you to come forward. You only moved a few steps forward before The Master turned to taunt The Doctor some more.
“My brave little Human, being so strong for their Master. They never aligned themselves with you, Doctor. They were always on my side. How does it feel, Doctor, knowing that someone you considered to be your friend was my companion all along.” The Doctor struggled to utter something, but she eventually managed.
“T-that’s not true.”
The Doctor’s eyes flickered to you where you had halted because a Cybermaster got too close to you, which caused you to freeze in place. The Master followed his best enemy’s eyes and saw you curling into yourself and cowering away from the closest Cybermaster.
The Master immediately rushed down the steps of the platform to you. He shooed the surrounding Cybermasters away from you. The Master brushed the palm of his hand against your cheek as a question of whether or not you were okay with him connecting with you telepathically. You nodded into The Master’s hand.
The Master placed his forehead against yours and reached his hands up to stroke your temples. You could feel him knocking on your consciousness. You let him in and instantly a wave of calm passed over you. You heard him speak in your mind.
“You are safe with me, love.”
“They scare me, Master.”
“I know, but they will never hurt you. Especially with me here to protect you.”
“But what if -”
“Shhh now, love. You have to trust me.” You fell into The Master’s arms and wrapped yourself around him. The Master quickly returned the favour and wrapped his arms around your torso tightly. You could feel him rest his head on to of yours and rub his hands up and down your back.
“I’m sorry for ruining your plans, Master.”
“You haven’t ruined anything.”
“You wanted to be intimating. Cuddling me isn’t intimidating.”
“Well, it would prove a point to The Doctor, while also getting you away from my pesky Cybermasters.”
“What do you mean?”
“Walk with me, love, please.”
The Master pried you off of him, but then tightly clasped your hand in his. The Master led you to the centre of the platform in front of the trapped Doctor and wrapped his arms around you, again. He pushed your head against his chest so the beat of his hearts could calm you. The Master then began to rub his hands up and down your back, as he did before.
“See Doctor, Y/n has always been my companion. They are my brave little Human and I am their strong Master.”
“N-no -”
“Don’t struggle, Doctor, it’s not worth it. Everything is over for you.” The Master then directed his attention back to you. He tilted your chin up with his fingers.
“Now, what should we do, my love? Entrap The Doctor in our TARDIS, destroy her here and now, or something else?” You tried to turn your head to get a glimpse of the Cybermasters, but The Master grabbed your jaw force you to look at him. This, plus the telepathic connection still being present, The Master got his answer. The Master suddenly picked you up and carried you back to his TARDIS.
“Guard The Doctor until I return. Kill her if she tried to escape and kill anyone who tries to save her. I’ll be back in a moment.” The Master stated toward the Cybermasters, who instantly jumped into action.
“Where are we going?”
“Just a little mid-scheme break in the TARDIS, my love. Then I will go back and destroy my best enemy.” The Master walked to his TARDIS, with you still in his strong arms, and piloted the two of you to a different time and a different area in space. Once The TARDIS landed, The Master then carried you to your shared bedroom and laid you down on your and The Master’s shared bed.
“What about me? What will I do?” The Master climbed into bed with you and placed a kiss on your forehead. The Master then manoeuvred you to where you were laying in his arms and facing him.
“You are so brave for me, my little Human, but I don’t want you around those pesky Cybermasters. I can feel your fear for them. I don’t want to continue to put you through that, so you will stay here in The TARDIS. Our point was fully made to The Doctor, you’re mine. You helped me show her the truth beautifully.” The Master caressed your face lovingly, trying to express all his love, care, and protectiveness for you.
“Are you sure that everything is going to be okay?”
“Everything is going to work out perfectly, my love. Now, let’s take a little nap, yeah?” You nodded, then nuzzled yourself into The Master’s torso. The Master immediately wrapped his strong arms around you and held you tightly as the two of you slept off the fear and adrenaline of the stressful situation the two of you were just in.

------------------------------------------------------------
The Master stalked the cold, rainy streets of New London, New Earth. He was there to gain more information about The Doctor for his next scheme, or, at least, that’s what he told himself. Because every time The Doctor was in view, instead of analysing her every move for weakness, he was trying to secretly look past her and her other companions to get even the tiniest glimpse of you. You and The Doctor’s Fam were walking in the middle of the town’s main street with The Doctor leading the herd. The Master was finding it difficult to continue to follow you and the conversation while hiding behind vendors and their carts, trying to lure in tourists, but he managed well enough. He was certain that he looked insane, tarnishing his ego, but he hadn’t seen you properly yet. The Master hadn’t seen you in so long and he just had to see you.
You were cocooned within the herd of companions as if they knew that you were the favoured prey. The Fam had adapted to doing that, keeping you hidden. You were always the target of The Master’s kidnappings, every single one, so they always kept you protected and in eyesight. Except for The Doctor who seemed more inclined to show off than to express overt worry. You always blamed her social awkwardness, but The Master considered it to be plain ignorance. Nevertheless, The Doctor continued her tour guide-like speech about the area.
“Actually, believe it or not, this is the fifteenth Earth since the original. So, we are actually walking on the New New New -” The Doctor continued to rattle off a string of ‘new’s until her point was reached. The Master scoffed at her ridiculousness, how she was always like this, trying to impress Humans with nonsense. He grew even more aggravated when he finally saw your face and how amazed you looked, with bright and shiny eyes filled with wonder. He couldn’t wait for the opportunity to finally get you alone, so he could kidnap you. He ventured to think that maybe one day he could make your eyes shine like that because of something he showed you, but he quickly abandoned that thought. He ignored its meanings and returned to focusing on the task at hand: kidnapping you and terrifying The Doctor and her little pets.
The form of The Fam’s protective bubble loosened slightly. You were still in the middle of their protective circle, but the form was stretched out between two vendor carts. You were still too well guarded for The Master to make a proper move, but as he planned, an eruption of screams was heard from down the street. Quickly those screams came closer and closer to The Doctor, her Fam, and you. The Master had enlisted the help of an emerging villain who was recently wronged by The Doctor to interrupt this adventure. The Master trained them in ferociousness, revenge, and villainy, all in turn for the monster to not hurt you. He made that caveat very clear. If The Master were to be interrogated about this encounter, he would deny the fact that he told his one-time business partner that if they harmed you in any way, he would kill them without hesitation. Death was always a spectacular threat to use in order to get what you wanted, at least in The Master’s mind it was.
The monster, a disgusting beast with long sharp teeth, and even longer, sharper nails, ripped through the crowd of people, wounding the ones not fast enough to get away. The Doctor now turned protective, keeping you and The Fam behind her outstretched arms. She explained the monsters' race, and how they were usually peaceful, despite their deadly appearance, but you barely followed her ramble, too overcome with the shock of your ruined outing. The Doctor continued to vocalise her confusion about this monster’s out-of-character behaviour. This caused the monster to lunge forward, swiping at The Doctor. She dodged his swipe and continued to protect you and your friends. The Monster screamed a jagged cry before speaking of how The Doctor, in an act of self-heroism against the Daleks, caused the death of his family by giving a self-aggrandizing speech pleading for peace instead of actually acting to solve the disaster that was occurring before her. After explaining his story, the monster lunged again. The Doctor yelled for you and The Fam to return to The TARDIS, and after some brief yet urgent arguing, all of you eventually agreed.
It should have been simple, finding The TARDIS, but with the fearful crowd running around each and every way, the task was suddenly harder than before. When you and The Fam started out your return trip, you had your hands clasped tightly around Yaz’s and Ryan’s hands respectfully. They dragged you through the crowds and you were quite thankful for their presence. The crowds seemed to double in both number and fear, it reminded you of when The Doctor took you to see the running of the bulls in Spain.
One side of the crowd surged, curving into an alleyway, and dragging Yaz away from you and Ryan. Your hands were roughly ripped apart. Graham, who was also dragged with that moving crowd, cried out for Ryan to keep you safe and to stay together while he went to search for Yaz. Neither you nor Ryan remembered where The TARDIS was located. The crowds and screaming and running made it even more impossible for the two of you to recognize any possible indicators that both of you were headed in the right direction. Another wave of scared people surged, dragging you away from Ryan, brutally ripping your hands apart. You both screamed to each other and screamed at the crowds to stop, but it didn't help. You continued to be pulled away from your friends and into the moving currents of the ever-shifting crowds.
Eventually, they died out, leaving you alone in a dark alleyway, too dark for the daytime. You crept around anxiously, you had no idea if The Doctor had stopped the monster, it could have been anywhere, and you had no idea where any of your friends had been pulled to. You still tried to look for the TARDIS, even though you didn’t believe that The Doctor would park her anywhere near a dark and dingy ally like this one.
The sound of a glass bottle skirting over cobbled streets distracted you from your search, causing you to turn around and look to where the noise came from. You thought it could be the monster. As soon as you did this, you regretted it. You felt a syringe plunge into your neck. The effects of which were practically instantaneous, making you so weak that your knees gave out and your vision became fuzzy. Someone caught you, even in your daze, you could tell that they were strong, as they picked you up bridal style and carried you with perfect ease. Your head hung limply over your capture’s arm and before your eyes finally closed due to heaviness, you saw the shadow of the individual carrying you. They were shorter compared to the momentous monster that attacked you and your friends and they were wearing a long coat and cuffed pants. If your hunch was correct, you knew exactly who was kidnapping you, giving you some semblance of relief that it wasn't some random person doing this.
It took you a while to actually come to, but in your anaesthetised sleep you had wonderful dreams. You didn’t know if that was just a side effect of the anaesthetic, but they were welcoming and calm, given the circumstances. Upon first waking up, you first felt how rigid your body was, it was clear that he tied you up, he tended to do that, so you weren't surprised, but that didn’t subtract from the fact that the combination of the sedative and rope ties made you incredibly sore. You groaned when you moved your neck from its hanging position, despite not wanting to encourage your kidnapper’s behaviour, you had to express your discomfort at the moment. When you opened your eyes, you saw him crouched at eye level before you, with gleaming amber eyes and a wide smile. He seemed genuinely happy, as he always did when he kidnapped you.
The Master kept doing this. You’ve asked on many occasions why he felt the need to kidnap you. If he kidnapped you as a part of his latest plan to “destroy The Doctor”, you could understand his motivations, but he kidnapped you, seemingly, for fun. The two of you shared banter and jokes, more than you did with The Doctor if you were being honest. When The Master first kidnapped you, you were understandably angry and uncomfortable and scared. You were not present when The Fam met O or when they went to Gallifrey and fought the Lone Cyberman, but from what your friends and The Doctor described, The Master was someone to be feared. Which only caused confusion to plague your brain when he offered you tea and biscuits and even a spare room if you promised not to get into trouble in his TARDIS, as The Master’s torment, then, for his best enemy lasted longer than he imagined. That was many kidnappings ago, and you had taken him up on the offers of tea, biscuits, and a spare bedroom on many occasions. But with each new kidnapping, you were never able to get to the bottom of why The Master acted this way to you. You had your assumptions, sure, but you wanted to hear his reason.
“So why are you kidnapping me this time?” Disgruntled and tired from the sedative and the rope that wasn’t too tight around you, but still incredibly uncomfortable.
“Why else would I kidnap one of The Doctor’s little pets? To torment her senselessly! It’s quite fun!” He leaned forward excitedly, almost bumping your nose with his. The Master always spoke very close to people’s faces, you thought that he thought that this act would make him more intimidating. It might have worked at first, but you were too used to it by now.
“I’m not her pet!” You growled at him, invading his space, as much as you could, given the ropes restraining you to the chair. You were more upset that he used a rougher rope this time compared to your anger over his comment. You were comfortable enough with yourself to not be hurt by The Master’s teasing.
“Oh, really now?” The Master moved back and eventually stood before you, making you look up to him. Sometimes you hated his childish dependence on power dynamics, you were frankly too tired, with the remains of the sedative still in your system, to care about said dynamics. You wanted a comfortable bed and rest, not rough ropes digging into your wrists and sides and ankles and The Master’s fragile ego.
“Yes.”
“Prove it.”
“I’m sorry, I can’t. You see, I have these ropes restraining my movements, so I won’t be able to punch you in the face. As you know, The Doctor abhors violence. I don’t think that the others would want to disobey her, but I don’t really have that much of a problem with rebelling against The Doctor’s quote-unquote wisdom” The Master burst into a fit of chauvinistic laughter.
“So, you’ll kill. Was not expecting that! Maybe The Doctor only keeps you around to change you, like how she constantly tries to disrupt my life and change me.”
“I never said I would kill. I’m not like you, so don’t compare me to you. And I’m not like The Doctor, or The Fam, or any of her other companions either, so don’t compare me to them. I’m me and I just won’t hesitate to protect myself when threatened.” The Master pretended to have not liked what he heard you say, but, quite the contrary, what you had just said was an example of one of the many reasons why he liked you. You weren’t like him. You weren’t like The Doctor. You weren’t like the other Humans that hopelessly followed The Doctor like lost puppies. You were something new. Someone new that completely enticed The Master to his core.
You had a fire of independence and a passion for justice that exceeded The Doctor’s. Where she had to try to be kind or nice, reminding herself with catchphrases and mantras, you never did. The Doctor often failed to register the fine line between justice and cruelty, you never did. Maybe that is why she, truly, kept you around, and why The Master really wanted you beside him. Keeping him from going to extremes like when he destroyed Gallifrey. The Master liked trouble, but he was growing a bit tired of constantly running away from all of the problems he caused with no sense of peace. Perhaps you could have been his peace, but he knew that the damage was done, and he had inflicted too much pain to be deserving of any peace. If he kept kidnapping you, he could still keep you safe and in his life, even if it wasn’t to the extent that he desired.
The Master turned, leaving your comment hanging in the air, and went to inspect something on his TARDIS monitor and leaving you to grapple with your thoughts. You weren’t exactly positive that you could hurt anyone, and you were afraid that he knew that. You wanted to protect people, protect peace and innocence. But you tried to think back to when you were left to fend for yourself in a dangerous situation, and you couldn’t locate a single memory. The Master had always been there, kidnapping you away from danger. You were thankful for that; you were quite privileged compared to The Doctor’s other companions who had to deal with fear and adrenaline and wounds and attacks and loss. You were always safe in The Master’s TARDIS with a substantial array of foods and blankets and warm drinks. But sometimes this made recurring system made you feel weak and inexperienced compared to your friends.
When you really thought about it, you understood how much The Master did for you. He clearly cared about you even though he would profusely deny it, and you couldn’t deny the fact that he was hypnotically attractive. If he was villainous, he wasn’t villainous to you. You saw how he possessed an aura of sadness like The Doctor, they were both so lonely, but The Doctor had companions. You wondered who The Master had, then you realised that he only had his TARDIS and you, if you counted the kidnappings, which you assumed that he did. When The Master thought you weren’t looking, you saw the sadness that pooled in his eyes and the soft touches he would give when controlling the console, almost apologetic for his outbursts. You saw how he was willing to be more vulnerable to you, at least by his standards of vulnerability.
After a long silence, briefly interrupted by TARDIS beeps and wheezing and The Master’s grumbles and mumbles about whatever was on his console monitor, you spoke up again.
“Really, what goes on in that dumb head of yours?”
“I am not dumb.” The Master grumbled, trying to fix something on his console monitor, whatever was on it was really troubling him. You would have asked him, but you preferred to taunt him.
“Yes, you are!” You spoke in a sing-songy voice, knowing that it would aggravate him even more. It worked, he finally turned back toward you.
“How, pray tell, and I dumb?” He crossed his arms in front of himself, leaning against the console. You preferred having his attention on you, and The Master preferred you trying to get his attention compared to the alarms on the console monitor distracting him from the kidnapping.
“Because, if you wanted to go out on a date with me, this badly, you could have just asked.”
The Master’s mouth fell open slightly. He knew that you were smart and observant, but he thought that he was being discreet. He quickly regained composure, though, smirking cheekily and trying to ignore his growing vulnerability. He needed to take back the power in the situation. But you just stared right back, not giving in to the power of his eyes. You swore that he was trying to hypnotise you into submission, to make you forget your allegation, but you fought back against him every time The Master’s telepathic force poked your mind.
He continued to stare at you, slightly uncomfortable that you kept standing up against him instead of quivering and flustering before him, but he knew that if you did that, The Master wouldn’t like you as much as he did. His eyes bored into yours, trying to intimidate you, intensifying his gaze and his hypnotism, but you refused to back down and submit. You saw The Master’s eyes grow slightly warmer before he quickly turned back toward The TARDIS, his shoulders tensed. He gripped his console and eyed the monitor. He spoke again, after a strained silence, still agitated.
“I’m growing tired of you. You will find that ridiculous blue box you travel in just around the street corner.” The Master flicked a few switches, causing the ropes that held you tightly against the chair to drop, and at the snap of his fingers, The TARDIS doors opened instantaneously.
“Now run along to The Doctor before I decide to keep you locked in here forever.” You slowly got up and walked to the doors, still stiff from the binding. Before you exited The Master’s ship, you turned to get one last glimpse of the strange Time Lord.
“You know, if you were to, hypothetically, ask me out on a date… I wouldn’t say no.” You leaned against The TARDIS, and she gave a reassuring hum above you. You weren’t quite sure, though, if it was because of your comment or the sudden physical act.
“Why?” The Master was questioning and hopeful, with an aura of playfulness in his tone. You shrugged in a way to indicate subtleness, but only to disguise your intense feelings for the man before you.
“I don’t know. You don’t seem as bad as the others say you are. At least, not to me.”
“As you pointed out, I kidnap you constantly.” The Master couldn’t help but smile at your innocence and naivety. He could not understand how you could still see him as someone decent, despite all of his evil acts.
“Yeah, but it’s always a part of a scheme to kill The Doctor and her Fam, while I am safe and tucked away in your ship far away from any danger, or it’s right before The Doctor is about to get us into a dangerous situation when I’m stolen away by you. I would put money on the fact that right after you took me, the monster attacked The Fam, and you kept looking at the monitor to check and see whether or not the threat was gone.” The Master didn’t say anything, only smiled bittersweetly at you, after you smiled and waved him goodbye. The Master snapped his fingers again, closing the doors when you fully exited his TARDIS, and mumbled a soft “Until we meet again, Y/n,” under his breath.
The Master watched you leave on the console room monitor, when you returned to The Doctor, he flew off to drift amongst the stars in order to plan for his next kidnapping of you. But when coordinates randomly appeared on the data screen of the console, he grew distracted from his task. He thought that maybe he deserved a break from torturing himself by dangling something he could never have before him, maybe he deserved a little trouble at the moment. The Master, strangely, did not know the place the coordinates sent him to, but the message was sent from an old partner in a small overthrow of a corrupt dictator he participated in. The partner had thanked The Master profusely, but he was only in it for the money and to see the dictator, who angered The Master at a banquet, finally and horrifically murdered.
The Master freshened up a bit and followed the coordinates to the meeting place. He strolled out of his TARDIS, confident and excited about a new evil scheme. However, The Master’s face fell in disappointment when he saw The Doctor leaning against her ridiculous blue box. The Master grumbled and rolled his eyes, quickly turning back to his ship. He was not in the mood for another lecture from The Doctor, he had experienced too many of them in his life.
“Why do you keep kidnapping Y/n?” The Doctor’s question caused The Master to halt. Even though he wanted to just fly away and leave The Doctor questioning his actions, he couldn’t resist talking about you, but he couldn't allow his best enemy to know the truth. He marched up to The Doctor, trying to be threatening.
“Because seeing the look of fear in your eyes, Doctor brings joy to my very dark life.” The Master turned to leave, again, even more annoyed with The Doctor’s interference.
“Are you sure that it's my pain bringing you joy? Because from where I’m standing, it looks like Y/n is the one sparking joy in your dark life.” The Master froze in shock. He thought that there was no way for The Doctor to know his true feelings for you. He assumed that The Doctor was too dim to catch on to his, admittedly, uncharacteristic behaviour. He knew that you would never tell her of the feeling you, correctly, presumed he had for you. He knew that you found the banter quite fun and that you enjoyed his company, as he did for you. If you didn’t, you would be kicking and screaming in duress during every encounter, but the two of you were always polite and cordial. How did The Doctor find out about how he felt for you?
“I have no idea what you are referring to, Doctor. I think your mind is growing emotional due to extended time around Humans. Have your pets been making you watch rom-coms?”
“Oh, just admit it, Master. You like Y/n. I know for a fact that they like you, too.” The Master stayed facing his TARDIS, he did not want The Doctor to see his pleased face, but his happiness faded when he realised that the two of you could never be together. For so many reasons it was impossible. He thought that it was simpler to break your heart now than to wait for one of his enemies to kill you or for you to die of old age while he remains young. The Master’s anger was boiling up inside of him. All he wanted was you, but everything would be so difficult if you and The Master actually became a couple.
“Don’t you understand?! Oh! What am I saying?! Of course, you don’t understand!” His rage fully took over him as he turned back to The Doctor.
“Understand what?” The Master just wished his best enemy would drop the subject.
“Y/n can never live with me on my TARDIS, they can never be my companion, and they can never love me! It’s a big enough risk for me to love them! All of the damage I caused, all of the people I’ve killed whose families want to take revenge on me, all of the people who want to see me dead, they will go after Y/n, they will hurt and kill them, just to get to me. I can never allow that! You take so many risks with your pets, Doctor, but I refuse to put Y/n in that much danger. So, I will remain their strange protector, keeping them away from the danger you threaten to put them through.” The Master gave up trying to explain his position to The Doctor, massaging his brow with his hand.
Throughout this discourse the two Gallifreyans had, they had moved and circled each other. The Doctor had allowed you to listen in on the entire conversation via her TARDIS’s listening devices and instructed you to exit her ship when she indicated. After The Master had made his declaration of the love you wanted to exit then and run to him, but stopped at the doors, watching the scene briefly. You thought that The Master was going to attempt to explain himself further, but stopped himself multiple times, he suddenly surged back towards his TARDIS. This time he was fully intent on leaving and never coming back. You rushed out of the doors, The Doctor’s TARDIS making no attempt to stop you, as you ran to The Master and desperately wrapped your arms around his torso, you could feel him tense in your arms, but he knew it was you holding him. It broke his hearts at the thought that he would have to turn you down to your face instead of just running away forever. You couldn’t see The Master’s face, but you assumed that he was regretting following the coordinates. He eventually relaxed, but softly placed his hands on your arms and pushed them away from his body.
“I can’t. I can’t do this to you.” The Master refused to face you, still walking determinedly to his TARDIS.
“I would be allowing you to sign your own death certificate. I can’t let you kill yourself for me. I am an incredibly selfish person, but I refuse to let the only light of my life perish because of my wants.”
You grabbed The Master’s hand forcefully, stopping him from moving. You tried to turn him around to face you, but he stood as still as a statue. You elected to move to his side, resting your chin on his shoulder. You still clasped your hands tightly around his one. You wanted to make this conversation as private as you possibly could. You knew that The Doctor was still overseeing this encounter and you could see The Master’s agitation and uncomfortableness at being so vulnerable.
“I want this. I want you, Master.” He finally looked at you, his eyes big and round and sad, tears were dangerously threatening to spill out and cascade down his face.
“I can’t. I can’t. I would be killing you. I would corrupt you. My selfishness will bring your end before it was ever supposed to happen, all because I want someone to love me.”
The Master continued to mutter self-deprecating comments about how what the two of you could have together was impossible to actualize. You hated seeing him like this. You understood that he had thousands of years of past trauma plaguing him and he should have the opportunity to be open, but in this situation, when you knew that you could ease his pain and he refused to listen to you, all you wanted was to slap his self-depreciation out of him.
You abruptly tore your hands from his and cupped his face, planting a soft kiss on his lips. You moved to pull away, as you had an important statement to make to The Master, but he quickly placed a firm hand on the back of your neck, deepening the kiss. You ventured to think how awkward The Doctor must be feeling at this sight. The Master must have been able to see into your mind because as soon as you thought of The Doctor, he increased his attack on your lips. The two of you parted when you needed to catch your breath. You rested your forehead against his as he caressed your face with care and reverence, occasionally running his hands through your hair affectionately.
“Master, I know that you believe that you are doing your best to protect me right now, but from my perspective, I know that you would never have gotten involved with me if you had any doubt about whether or not we would make it out together. I know that you do what you do in order to protect me, as you did today. I know that you will care for me. And I know that you will find a way to combat my human biology and lifespan, so we can spend more time together. I believe in you. I believe that you love me. Now you just need to believe me and believe in my love for you.”
You tried to look him in the eye, but he skirted your gaze, electing to close his eyes in an act to engrave your words into his memory. He pulled you into a bone-crushing hug suddenly, one arm pulling your torso tight against his, the other wrapped around the back of your neck. Your nose rested between the collar of his purple coat and his neck, and you breathed in his scent of warm smoke and cold mint, a juxtaposition that was very him. You didn’t know if this was the last moment you would ever see him this intimately or ever again and you wanted to remember every nuance in his character that you were allowed the privilege of knowing.
The Master thought long and hard about his possible relationship with you, ever since he noticed his growing feelings for you. He wondered if pursuing you was worth it, given that you were Human and he was a Time Lord, but you were keen and knowledgeable of The Master’s ways. As soon as he saw you, he began drawing up possible plans for extending your life. He had been so wrapped up in his mind about all of the futures the two of you could live, and now he had the opportunity to live out some of those futures. He believed you. He believed your love. Despite how shocked he was about his feelings for you and yours for him, from this moment forward he refused to live without your love and support. He eventually pulled back, still holding you tightly. You couldn’t read his face and grew even more fearful that you would never see him again.
“Please don’t leave me, Master.” You tried to hold him tighter, in an act to plead for your future with The Master, but he pulled your hands away from his body to hold them in his hands.
“As long as you don’t leave me, Y/n.” The Master’s face broke into a genuinely happy smile when he saw the relief that spread across your face. You hugged him again, and he picked you up and spun you around a couple of times. The both of you giggled excitedly.
“I guess it's a good thing I made you pack before this then.” The Doctor spoke up when you and The Master separated. Both of you had entirely forgotten that The Doctor was there watching your confessions of love.
The Doctor was fully supportive of your budding relationship with The Master. She helped the two of you move your suitcases and boxes of souvenirs into The Master’s TARDIS and gave you an emotional goodbye, along with a goodbye to The Fam, and a promise to call and text frequently. Once settled and happy in your new home, all you could do was smile until your face hurt and hug The Master. Both he and you were too excited about the future and your love for the Time Lord to fully comprehend the risks of your new relationship. But at this moment of bliss, the risks were worth it.
Summary: You & The Master have history. But it never ends the way you want it to.
A/N: Will probably do a part two
Warnings: TPOTD Spoilers! I guess a slightly toxic relationship??? It’s the Master so… always toxic lol
You stood anxiously, finding yourself subconsciously biting your lip in anticipation. What the hell had he planned this time? Every time you’ve found yourself in his presence, he’d manage to lure you in, make you feel sorry for him, but then he’d ultimately betray your feelings and conceptions about him with trying to hurt the Doctor. Truth was, you understood somewhat how he felt. To not want to be you. To want to be greater, have more purpose, to be… More.
You’d been around the Doctor a long time. Not consistently, after choosing to walk away a few trips after the year that never was, back when she was a different person. But you’d often find yourself mixed up in the Doctors antics over the next few years of your life. You saw her when she was an older Scottish man, and when the current man on your mind was a she… Missy. You’d stuck around for a little while when the Doctor found himself alone after Clara. You’d become close with Missy. Friends you may have even said. Perhaps it was easier, purely because Missy felt completely different to the man you had to face when he was Saxon. Once again, you left, after sticking around for a few months, going back to your normal life. It was only a year or so later you found yourself in another situation involving the Doctor and her greatest enemy.
“Not dead then?” You raised a brow at the new face of the man in front of you. He was donning a dark purple jacket, tartan waist coat and trousers combo with a beard. He somehow looked put together, whilst keeping that crazed look in his eyes that told you he was as wild as years before. Smirking, he approached.
“I could say the same to you.” He looked you up and down. “I see time has been kind to you all these years.” You rolled your eyes at him, shaking your head.
“Stop. Whatever you’re planning, just don’t.” You said exasperatedly. “It never works. Why do it to yourself?” His smirk dropped, a darker gaze falling onto his features, his eyes boring into your own.
“Because I have nothing else to live for.”
Of course, you were right. His plan was foiled, as the Doctor defeated him again. You had tried, time and time again to get through to the man, but every time you felt you got a bit closer, you were pushed back multiple steps.
You thought about all those times, as you were brought out of your mind by a familiar sound. The whirring of the TARDIS echoed through the building as you found yourself rushing towards it. You looked to see a swarm of UNIT soldiers aiming their guns at the box, whilst Ace & Tegan stood on the stairs, and Kate ahead, ready to face the crazed man when he stepped out with the Doctor. After what felt like a life time, the door finally opened, as the familiar face you had been thinking about appeared… The Master. He was quickly grabbed by two of UNITs men. He looked around, scanning the building, a grin breaking out onto his face.
“Put him in the bunker.” Kate spoke, ordering her men. “Constant monitoring, full security detail.” The two soldiers walked him, as they followed their boss’ words.
“Ooh, the bunker! That sounds nice! I love a bunker!” The Master smiled, looking around. “Anybody want to join me? Bunk-up in the bunker?” He smirked as you watched from the sidelines. He suddenly turned to Kate, pulling on the two armed men. “Your dad was an idiot.” He commented to Kate as she stayed straight faced, ignoring his quip. The two guards pulled him back, continuing to walk with him, as his head snapped back round, his eyes landing on the two former companions who stood above him. “Oh, Tegan Jovanka! How's your Auntie Vanessa? Do you keep her in a little doll's house?” He commented, as she glared down at him.
“I'm going to enjoy watching you locked up in a tiny cell.” Tegan narrowed her eyes at him as he raised a brow.
“That's right, you tell me. And Ace!” His attention turned to the other woman. “Or should I say Dorothy? Didn't the Doctor ditch you? No? Little fallout with your Machiavellian maestro?” He taunted.
“Last time I saw you, you were half cat.” Ace raised a brow, as he shrugged.
“A man’s allowed to experiment.” He retorted, before his gaze finally landed on you. You looked at him with a softer expression than the others, but kept your arms folded over your chest, showing you weren’t afraid and ready to stand your ground.
“And (Y/N) (L/N)…” He gave a half smile. “Still holding onto the Doctors beck and call I see.” You stayed silent. “No? Nothing to say?” He sighed. “Well that’s boring.” Truth was, what could you say that you hadn’t already tried before. “Still,-“ He paused. “-looking as young as ever.” He commented as you raised a brow, before Kate cut him off.
“Take him away.” She ordered as the men dragged him towards the elevator.
“Yes, yes, take me away! You'll all feel safer then with me in the building. You're not staying, Doctor?” He called from inside the lift. “You're not going to leave them alone, are you... while you go Dalek hunting?” The Doctor didn’t reply, as the doors began to close. “Whoo!” Was the last thing the Master said before the doors sealed, sending him down to below the building. You finally let out a breathe you didn’t know you were holding.
“(Y/N), Ace, Tegan, I need you to stay here and monitor the Master. We won't be long.” The Doctor told you three as she turned to head back into her ship, you found yourself zoning out, turning as you headed back into Kates office.
A few minutes later, Ace & Tegan entered the room, seeing you watching the security camera of the bunker on the screen, watching as the Master paced around his cell, occasionally staring up directly into the camera above him. It was like he knew you were watching.
“We can take turns watching.” Ace commented as you snapped your head towards the voice, not even registering them enter. “I really thought I’d seen the last of him.”
“Yeah, well, he has a habit of coming back when you least expect it.” You replied as the two woman came round to stand beside you.
“How’d you meet him?” Tegan asked as you sighed.
“Many years ago. When the Doctor was still a he. The Master came to Earth, became Prime Minister… He managed to slaughter thousands of people, take over, but the Doctor reversed time. None of it ever happened to you.” You told them.
“That sounds like The Master.” Ace shook her head slightly.
“Then I met him again, when he was a she. Missy. But she was different, like she had more of a softer side. In her own wicked way of course.” Both women turned to you in surprise at that remark. “And then this one. With a cyber army not long ago.”
“Wow… You really had a lot of run ins then.” Tegan said as you nodded.
“I would’ve even said we were friends…” You muttered lowly, causing both woman again to look surprised. “But that was long ago now.” The two woman shared a look.
“Is there…” Ace began, unsure how to ask. “History?” She raised a brow as you scoffed lightly, shaking your head.
“Not like that.” You sighed. “Well, not in a conventional sense I suppose. He’s the Master. He doesn’t do feelings.” You looked back at the screen, seeing him once again staring directly at the camera. Silence fell between you all for a moment before you began walking away. “If I’m not back in ten minutes, come and get me.” You called over your shoulder as the two woman furrowed their brows, watching as you left.
This was stupid. Again. You found yourself running to him. You knew it wasn’t healthy. You knew you couldn’t change his mind. Yet here you were, heading down to face the man for what felt like the hundredth time. To try and empathise with him.
Entering the bunker, you approached the room he was being kept in, seeing two guards stood at the door.
“I need to speak to him.” You told them both as they looked at you, unsure. “Ten minutes. Kates orders.” They sent each other a look before one nodded, as they turned to unlock the door. You send them a nod as thanks as you entered, the door slamming shut behind you. The Master had his back to you, as you slowly approached.
“It’s like you couldn’t stay away…” The Master quipped, slowly turning as he looked at you with a smirk. “And what do I owe this pleasure of your presence?” He gestured around cell with his tied hands. “I would offer you to come in but…” He trailed off as his eyes scanned the cell bars.
“So what’s it this time?” You asked, as you stepped closer, only a foot away from the bars that held him. “Take over the planet? The solar system? The universe? Take down the Doctor? Fail again?” You raised a brow as he laughed.
“Ever so perceptive.” He furrowed his brows. “Do you really think so little of me?” He took a few steps forwards.
“Can you blame me?” You folded your arms. “I mean, every time I’ve met you, you’ve tried to do one or all of those things. Your track record isn’t exactly varied.” He nodded, slightly shrugging.
“I’ll give you that.” He said. “But I could say the same to you.” He raised a brow, as he stood a right in front of the bars in front of you. “Still running to the Doctor every time she clicks her fingers.” He lifted his hands to snap his own fingers together, before breaking out into a manic grin. “It’s sweet really. Your loyalty. Your… What’s the word?” He pursed his lips. “Ah that’s it. Patheticness.” You rolled your eyes.
“I came down here to talk, not to be insulted.” You went to turn away but jumped at the sound of his hands hitting the bars.
“Do not turn away your back on me!” The Master exclaimed, as your head whipped back round to him, slight fear in your eyes as his expression looked dark. “You have no idea.” He said quieter. “No idea-“ He spat. “Don’t even try to pretend you do.” You swallowed the lump in your throat as you found yourself turning back to face him. “Remember what I said to you… All those years ago…”
“We could run away.” Missy shrugged, as you shook your head at her words. “No, I mean it. Imagine it. Me and you, on the open road of time and space.”
“You mean me watching you cause chaos?” You laughed lightly.
“If chaos was to follow us, then so be it.” She smirked as you found yourself smiling. “I always wondered what it would be like to be the Doctor… have a little pet-“
“I’m not a pet!” You exclaimed, as she gave you a ‘come on’ look. “I’m not!”
“Ok, ok, fine!” She said exasperated. “Companion.” She air quoted as you raised a brow.
“Why?” You wondered aloud. “I mean, you’ve always been a lone wolf right? What’s changed?” Her gaze softened slightly as she sat back in her seat, reaching her hands out as she began to play the piano that sat before her.
“I don’t know.” She said truthfully. “Maybe it’s age. Maybe it’s boredom. Doing the same thing, over and over and over.” She paused, focusing on her playing. “Maybe it’s you.”
“Of course.” You said quietly, almost breathless. “But that was then. Before you did what you did.” He sighed, leaning his head on the cold bars. He then pulled his gaze back to you, slowly holding a hand through the bars as you peered down at it.
“All you have to do is take my hand.” He said quietly. “Please-“ He tried as you blinked, peering down at his open palm, you found yourself subconsciously reaching out with your own, slowly going to do as he asked… Suddenly, an alarm blared throughout the building, jolting you away, as your head spun round to the metal doors, rushing over as you banged on them, trying to get a response, but nothing. You turned back to him.
“What have you done?” You asked, as the man before you smirked. “Master!” You exclaimed, storming towards him. He laughed as you looked concerned.
“Unleashed hell.”
So … uh … I love this! Don’t think I can live without it😍
Summary: You and the Master have always had a complex relationship. If you could even call it that… Forbidden fruit always tastes the sweetest after all…
A/N: Reader is of age. In Timelord sense… But I listened to ‘Does Your Mother Know’ by ABBA and just HAD to write this I- ajakjsiaja
Warnings: None, a little smooching
You're so hot, teasing me
So, you're blue, but I can't take a chance on a chick like you
That's something I couldn't do
“I should’ve known it was you.”
You said, raising a brow, turning on your heel to see the familiar face of The Master, grinning wildly at you as he stalked towards you. His eyes scanning you as you couldn’t help but feel like he was a bird of prey and you were his next victim.
“What gave it away?” The man asked, eyes narrowing slightly as he stood a few feet before you, hand on his hip.
“The shoddy wiring-“ You quipped as he simply smirked. You held the device in your hand he had planted, standing in the middle of an abandoned ballroom, where a mere few minutes ago you were telling the humans to run for their lives. “The boldness of it, the theatricality…” You continued, as you threw the now deactivated device down to the floor with a bang.
“You noticed.” He almost purred as you fought the urge to roll your eyes at him. “I had to get your attention somehow.”
“Most people simply use a phone…” You smirked as he let out a breathy laugh.
“Except I’m not most people, am I dear?” He took another step towards you. “Besides… Couldn’t have mummy dearest intercepting.” He pursed his lips as you bit your own. “Where is she by the way? Off with her little human pets?”
“You dragged me all the way to 1890 to ask about my mother?” You raised a brow, folding your arms as he clicked his tongue.
“You know why I dragged you here.” You hadn’t noticed how close he was to you, as he peered down at you, eyes dark and broody.
There's that look in your eyes
I can read in your face that your feelings are driving you wild
Ah, but girl, you're only a child
You simply rolled your eyes, as you rounded him, lightly bumping into his arm as you did so, causing him to shake his head slightly before reaching a hand out, turning with you as he gripped your arm to stop you from leaving.
“Leaving so soon?” He asked, tone low as you stared up at him. “How disappointing…”
“I’ve got things to do.” You simply told him, but didn’t fight his grip. You could feel your hearts beating in your chest as you stared at him.
“More important than little old me?” He smirked, a little flirtatious in tone. “I’m hurt.” He teased, furrowing his brows.
“Believe it or not, Master-“ You began, as he felt a rush go through him at the use of his name. “My world doesn’t revolve around you…” You breathed out as he laughed, shaking his head.
“Your heart beats suggest otherwise.” He said lowly, as you realised he’d moved his hand from your arm and to your wrist, as you peered down, quickly removing your arm from his grip. “Fine.” He sighed, taking a step back, allowing you to go. You gave him once last look before going to take your leave. After a few seconds, you stopped in your tracks as ballroom style music began to flood your ears. You let out a breath as you turned, seeing the Master stood in the middle of the floor, a record player turning in the corner. “Or… You could have a little fun.” He voiced, holding out a hand to you as you licked your lips. “Go on… Live a little.”
Well, I can dance with you, honey, if you think it's funny
Does your mother know that you're out?
And I can chat with you, baby, flirt a little maybe
Does your mother know that you're out?
Sighing to yourself, you gave in, slowly approaching the man as he watched intently, a glint of mischief in his eyes.
“One dance.” You told him sternly as he nodded, watching as you took his hand. His grip was soft and gentle, quite the opposite of him. But it always was when it came to you. His other hand came round to rest on your waist, as your own free hand planted itself on his shoulder. Eventually, you both began to move slightly to the music, as you fought the urge to stare at him, focusing your gaze elsewhere, looking round the room.
“What would your mother say?” The Master finally spoke, his words low. “You… Dancing with the enemy.” He purred out as you narrowed your eyes, finally catching his gaze.
“What she doesn’t know can’t hurt her.” You said softly, as he raised a brow in surprise at your words, a smirk appearing on his lips.
“Ooo-“ He let out. “Keeping secrets now are we? How Doctor of you…” You rolled your eyes slightly at his words. “Keeping me your sordid little secret…” He almost whispered as you swallowed the lump in your throat.
“There’s nothing to tell.” You simply replied as he tightened his grip ever so slightly on your waist, but you felt it. And he knew it.
“Really?” He breathed out.
“Yes.” You felt your voice waver slightly as he hummed, leaning his head back a little.
Take it easy (take it easy)
Better slow down, girl
That's no way to go
Does your mother know?
“Is that you trying to convince me or yourself?” The Master landed on, as you both stared at each other, the music fading out as you focused on him. You didn’t say a word. “Even after everything I’ve done… You still can’t bring yourself to hate me, dear.” It was true. You hated that he had this hold over you. But you couldn’t stop it. It felt like there was this pull, between you and him, no matter what he did or said. It was electric. “And I think we both know why…” You could feel his breath on your face as you peered up through your lashes at him.
“You’re just doing this… Because of The Doctor.” You told him quietly, as he let out a soft scoff.
“Still so suspicious.” He whispered. “Very wise of you.” You could feel yourself subconsciously getting closer to him, feeling his chest against your own as you moved your hand on his shoulder, closer to his neck. “What if I told you, you’re just a pawn in my game?” He asked as you bit your lip. “A way to get to The Doctor… To bring her down…” His grip tightened once again on your waist as he held you even closer, which you didn’t think was possible. “Would you let me?”
“No.” You breathed out, eyes blinking.
“Do you think you have a choice?” There was no emotion behind his voice, it was a simple question.
I can see what you want
But you seem pretty young to be searching for that kind of fun
So maybe I'm not the one
Before you could say anything, his lips had crashed into your own. You absentmindedly moved your hand to the nape of his neck as you held him closer. It felt right, it felt exciting, it felt… Real. After what felt like only a few seconds, he pulled away, his hand coming to rest on your cheek as he let his forehead lean against your own.
“Now there’s definitely something to keep secret…”
Well, I can dance with you, honey, if you think it's funny
Does your mother know that you're out?
And I can chat with you, baby, flirt a little maybe
Does your mother know that you're out?

The Master’s Plan
Dhawan!Doctor x Reader
Summary - The Master, after becoming friends with you, is tired of seeing The Doctor and The Reader go around and around in oblivious circles. So, she puts it upon herself to get the two of you together.

Warnings - fake dating ish, trying to get The Doctor riled up(mostly The Master does this), mutual pining

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. I had a second idea for this request from my old Tumblr account, so I had to finish it. I hope that you enjoy it!
------------------------------------------------------------
The Master couldn’t believe that you and The Doctor weren’t together yet! She used to hate you. Not because you were The Doctor’s new companion, but because The Doctor actually seemed to be committed to you. But now she wished not only to be your friend but also to help get you and The Doctor together. Even after everything The Master and The Doctor had been through, and even after everything The Master and you had been through, all she wanted was to see her two friends happy.
Soon after The Master had first met you, she had tried to rip you away from The Doctor and break your trust in him. But you informed the disappointed Master that you already knew about The Doctor’s past. You knew about the Time War, how The Doctor hurt The Master, and all of his previous companions and relationships. The Doctor had told you that he had been alone for a long time since he last regenerated and chose to wait to travel with anyone instead of jumping right into another companionship. Then he met you. You hadn't told The Master the last bit, but when she complained that she had to wait for The Doctor to show himself after decades of hiding, The Doctor’s statement was corroborated.
Disappointedly, The Master let you go from that encounter without a scratch on you. But she would kidnap you often after the fact. In the beginning, she legitimately wanted to harm you to get to the Doctor, but now she actually enjoyed your company. Often the two of you would gossip about The Doctor. The Master would always burst out laughing when The Doctor would barge into the room where you were captured completely shocked and out of breath and with adrenaline in his eyes.
The Master had stopped kidnapping you a couple of months ago. You thought something was wrong, but you couldn’t alert The Doctor because he would think that you were conspiring with her, when in actuality, you just cared for the wellbeing of someone you considered your friend. But about a week later, you got your answer. The Master had planned a horrible scheme to destroy Earth and turn Humans into her own personal obedient army. Of course, The Doctor and you discovered her plan and stopped her. The Doctor then insisted that she come to live in The TARDIS with the two of you, so she could gain some much-needed respect for beings that she thought lesser than her.
The Doctor quickly regretted the situation he created. You and The Master got along too much for his liking. This arrangement was meant to be some sort of punishment, but The Master seemed to enjoy being stuck in a confined space with you. What The Doctor was unaware of was the fact that The Master just loved to gossip behind The Doctor’s back, and she enjoyed feeling young with you. Her feelings for you were completely platonic. And she was actually overjoyed by the fact that someone wanted to be her friend; let alone someone as kind as you wanted to be her friend.
The Doctor’s uncomfortableness over his presumption that The Master had feelings for you was shifted out of his main focus by something strange going on in The Universe. There was a sneaking suspicion growing and spreading throughout space. No one had any idea what was going on, but random people were just showing up dead randomly. Many galaxies had joined together to try and investigate the issue, but none of them could solve the problem. The Doctor, ever the good Samaritan, instantly tried to solve the mystery. The Doctor set you on library duty while he did some aerial scouting from the console room.
It was difficult finding the information The Doctor had requested, but with the help of The TARDIS, and absolutely no help from The Master, you did eventually find everything that would help The Doctor. You texted him as soon as you found everything. All you wanted to do was make him happy and make him proud of you.
The Doctor ran toward the TARDIS library as soon as he received your message. But he slowed down and walked into the library calmly, so as to seem as if he hadn’t just run there. He had to make you believe that he had absolutely no romantic feelings for you. He thought that he was being completely discreet, but The Master just thought that her old friend was being completely ridiculous.
The Doctor quickly walked up beside you, with a small bounce in his step, and placed his hand on your back. Then you exuberantly explained what you had found, and The Doctor seemed to like the information you were detailing for him.
“Oh, my stars! You are brilliant, Y/n! Absolutely fantastic! I could kiss you!” The Doctor jumped up and down and grabbed your shoulders excitedly.
“Then why don’t you?” You flirtily retorted. The Doctor immediately became flustered, removed his hands from your body and started mumbling and bumbling about. He was speaking so quickly, much faster than normal, and you could only make out some of the things he had said. You had heard “I should do that,” “No, no that would be too complicated,” and “I better be off.”
The Doctor quickly bumbled around the table, hitting it with his hip, and then headed toward the exit. You huffed, defeatedly, and went to pile up the books. Maybe you would give them to The Doctor in the console room, find him in the kitchen, or even stop by his office. But you would not get the opportunity to do any of those things. The Doctor zipped back into the library and collected the books from your grasp and ran back out of the room before you could utter a word.
With your task project now finished, you slumped back toward your room. You felt like crying or screaming in frustration. This wasn’t the first time you flirted with The Doctor, and he responded that way, but you thought that because he always flirts with you that you had a chance with him. Yet he always ran away from you. Maybe you completely misinterpreted his “flirty” comments? Maybe he was just being friendly?
“Woah, your thoughts are quite loud today, Y/n!”
“Can we not do this right now, Master?”
“Was The Doctor being a fool again?” You nodded solemnly at The Master leaning concededly against the wall of the hallway.
“Come to my room, darling. I’ll make you a drink.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“What am I doing wrong?” You paced around The Master’s black marble tiled lounge area, wildly gesturing with the half-drank glass of the boulevardier cocktail The Master made you.
“Absolutely nothing my dear. The Doctor is merely a spineless idiot!” The Renegade Time Lord spat before taking a sip of her own boulevardier cocktail.
“Master!” You were frustrated with The Doctor, but you would never have the same animosity The Master had for her Best Enemy.
“Sorry, but it’s true. At least in this instance. I have told you many times that The Doctor’s feelings for you are obvious, that’s why I began kidnapping you in the first place. We just have to make him snap!”
“I don’t want him to snap, I just want to be with him.” You slumped into the soft yet sophisticated chair across from where The Master was lounging.
“Well, I might have an idea as to make him admit his feelings … If you are up to it, that is …” The Master smirked at you, breathed in a puff from her cigar, sighed out the smoke, and then sent you a wink.
“What are you scheming, Master?”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Doctor scoured over the books you had found for him. You had left some notes that you thought would be useful, but The Doctor would be having a much more exciting time if you were beside him helping him. It was his fault as to why you weren’t beside him right now, he knew that. The Doctor was very aware of his intense feelings for you, and he was 99.9% positive that you liked him too, but so many things could go wrong if he admitted his feelings. Your friendship might become strained, he might have to watch you fall in love with someone else, or, worst of all, you might leave him!
The Doctor sighed in defeat. Against his better judgement, he walked toward your room with one of the books you had found in his hand. The Doctor needed you to help him. It was the only way to get him to focus on the task at hand and not all of the worst cases scenarios running amok in his brain.
However, no matter how many times The Doctor tried to walk to your room, The TARDIS lead him somewhere else. The Doctor was going to question his ship, but then he heard a scream erupt through the air of the ship.
The Doctor rushed through the halls of his TARDIS, trying to discover the cause of the noise. To his surprise, The Doctor walked in on you laughing hysterically on the ground and The Master above you, tickling you.
“What are the two of you doing?”
“Our little friend here dared accuse me of not being fun! So, I started a tickle fight, and, of course, I won! Isn’t that right, sweetheart?” The Master leaned down over you, entirely too close to your face for The Doctor’s comfort.
“Master, why don’t you help me with the engine? I spotted a bit of a hiccup that needed a bit of a look-over. We need my TARDIS to be in tip-top shape before we try to solve this mystery.”
“Can’t you do that yourself? Y/n and I still have half of a movie to finish.” The Master sneered at her old friend.
“No, I am pretty sure that I need your help with the engine.”
“I can help you, Doctor.” You chirped after sitting up on your elbows. Unbeknownst to you, The Master looked down at you seductively, causing The Doctor’s blood to boil.
“But what about our movie? The couple was just about to confess their feelings for each other!”
“We can finish it later, Master.”
“No, no, no, I need The Master’s help.”
“Fine, you buzzkill. I’ll help you. Don’t wait up for me, lovely. I expect that this is going to take a while.” The Doctor glared at The Master behind her back but dropped the glare as soon as his old friend turned back around to face him. You didn’t think that The Master saw The Doctor’s unadulterated jealous face, but you did. You didn’t want to hurt him, but that’s exactly what you did. All of this was an act. He was the one you loved. You didn’t want him to feel so much pain because of you. You were tempted to reveal the plan you and The Master came up with, but The Doctor swiftly left before you could admit anything.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Doctor stormed out of the room and marched toward the console room. All the while, The Master smirked. She was very proud that her plan was succeeding. Upon reaching the console move, The Doctor abruptly turned to face his old friend.
“What are you doing with Y/n?”
“Why? Jealous, Doctor?” The Master taunted, causing The Doctor to become flustered at the thought of his yet-to-be-voiced feelings.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” The Doctor turned away and began fiddling with the TARDIS console.
“I am no idiot, Doctor. I know that the “hiccup in the engine” was a distraction to get me away from Y/n. Because you would rather have your precious little crush be all alone than be with me, your Best Enemy.”
“Just stay away from Y/n.” The Doctor huffed and rushed to his room, resolving to solve the mystery by himself.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Master did not stay away from you. Quite the opposite, actually. The Master hung around you more. But despite all the fake love being publicly displayed, you and your two alien roommates did solve the mysterious murders plaguing various galaxies and helped the civilizations living there.
As a post-adventure treat, The Doctor suggested for you and him to go to Lypitta. It was a beautiful planet known for its very scenic views, and its infamously poisonous itiia poul klailei tree, but The Doctor wasn’t there for that. He wanted to impress you and potentially romance you there.
To his dismay, though, The Master hadn’t left his TARDIS yet. The Doctor had allowed The Master to leave after the three of you saved all those galaxies, but she said that she wished to stay abroad for a bit longer. The Master even said that she enjoyed the company! The Doctor didn’t believe this. He knew that she was just trying to make him uncomfortable and angry with her flirting with you. She was constantly around you, touching you, looming too close to your face. The Doctor felt so defeated. He should be with you. He should be loving you and showering you in praise, but he was too late. The Master won you over and The Doctor stewed in sadness over the fact that he would soon be left alone once again.
Upon arriving on Lypitta, you briefly spoke to The Master alone before walking over to The Doctor. The Master went off on her own merry way and The Doctor almost seemed shocked that you wanted to be with him instead of his old friend. You asked The Doctor about the history and general environment of the planet, and he happily obliged in telling you everything he knew while the two of you walked around the planet. But eventually, the two of you fell into a bittersweet silence. You wanted to confess to The Doctor so badly, but you didn’t know how. And The Doctor wanted to ask you about your feelings, but he also didn’t know how to broach such a now awkward topic. So, the two of you continued to explore the planet in silence until The Doctor finally convinced himself to speak up.
“So, you and The Master then?”
“Doctor, it’s not like -” You instantly felt sadder than you were before. The Doctor looked so heartbroken.
“It’s fine. I haven’t been the most attentive, I can understand why you would move on. I just wish that it wasn’t with her. And I more so wish that I actually got the guts to say something before. Maybe it could be me holding you the way she does.” You had to tell The Doctor the truth now! You grabbed The Doctor by his shoulders and forced him to face you.
“Doctor, it’s a lie!”
“What is?”
“The Master and I, though it was mainly her idea, we thought that pretending to be close romantically would finally get you to confess your feelings for me out of jealous. I didn’t want to make you sad, though. I’m really sorry, Doctor. I should have just told you that I had feelings for you.” You dropped your hands and looked at your feet in regret. You hoped that this wouldn’t ruin everything between the two of you.
“You like me, Y/n?” You popped you head up to look at The Doctor when you heard his incredibly hopeful question.
“Yes, Doctor, I’ve liked you for a while.” The Doctor burst into a smile and quickly hugged you around the waist and spun you around in circles a couple of times.
“Are you serious?”
“Completely serious!” The Doctor started to laugh adorably and spin you around again.
“Doctor! Doctor, if you don’t stop, I’ll throw up!”
“Sorry! Sorry, I’m just so excited!” The Doctor dropped you back down onto the ground and cradled your face in his hands. He was so excited to be able to finally express his feelings for you openly.
“You could just kiss me instead?”
“Oh, well, I don’t want to impose …”
“Just kiss them, you idiot! Don’t make me devise another rom-com-esc scheme just to get you two to finally kiss!” The Master screamed from atop the hill, leaning against an itiia poul klailei tree and whittling from a twig she cut from a nearby branch. The Doctor quickly turned his attention back to you and gently caressed a thumb against your bottom lip.
“Are you okay with me kissing you?”
“Yes, Doctor, please kiss me!” You smiled giddily and bounced on the balls of your feet. The Doctor smiled back at you before leaning forward, close enough to where your noses brushed up against each other. The Doctor wanted to give you one last opportunity for you to turn away. When you didn’t move away and you brushed your nose against The Doctor’s, finally, The Doctor leaned into you and placed a soft, yet longing filled kiss on your lips.
The Master groaned in disgust at the sight and turned to look at the landscape of Lypitta. She was happy for the two of you, but she absolutely did not want to see you and The Doctor romantically entangled in any way. When she thought the two of you were finished publicly displaying your newfound affection, she turned around to talk to the two of you. However, when she did this, The Master saw the two of you still kissing, and it appeared that the kiss was growing more intense and handsy. The Master stalked toward the two of you and shouted to alert the both of you.
“So, do the two of you want to continue snogging in the middle of a field or maybe retreat to a bit of privacy?” You and The Doctor broke apart in shock but consigned to hold onto each other.
“Well, we can still explore Lypitta.” The Doctor stated, more because he wanted to show you this planet, and not out of concern for The Master’s wants.
“Please spare me your honeymoon phase. We can explore this planet at a later date when the two of you aren’t so glued together.” The Master began to walk back toward The Doctor’s TARDIS without waiting for a response.
“I thought you wanted to see us together, Master?” The Doctor snarkily shot back.
“Not like that, you idiot!”

You hadn’t known Bill that long; you had only really met a couple of times in The Doctor’s classes. But the pair of you got along very well, you even played wing-person for her when Bill was trying to woo Heather. Despite not knowing her for that long, because of Bill’s own struggles with sexuality that she was vocal about with you, you felt comfortable enough to come out to her. Like her, your guardians assumed that you identified as something that you were not, and they would be disappointed if they discovered the truth. In both circumstances, they weren’t bad people, just outdated by your and Bill’s standards.
Bill became The Doctor’s companion first, but The Doctor could see in his classes that you were one of those few people amongst seven billion Humans on the planet Earth that he would want to show the universe to. Bill helped The Doctor explain who he really was because The Time Lord tended to just throw people into the truth, and it could be quite startling. You happily accepted the offer your friend and professor were giving you and began adventuring with them.
The more you travelled with them, the more you learned about their lives respectfully. You and Bill bonded more about your sexualities and would often try and help each other find dates, even if some of those prospective people were aliens. Later when you discovered The Doctor’s true origins you felt even more at ease about your sexuality. What he described of his home planet and their openness to the concepts of sexuality and gender offered you a safe space in his TARDIS with him and Bill.
After a couple of weeks of knowing the truth about who The Doctor and Nardole were, their suspicious behaviour became more obvious to you. You would see them sneaking down to the basement of the University often and you knew that it wasn’t to go somewhere in the TARDIS, which stayed, mostly, in The Doctor’s office. Your curiosity about what your new friends were hiding lingered on your mind. You ended up nagging Bill about your curiosity and suspicions what you’re travelling companions were hiding and she finally agreed to go searching with you.
Bill explained that she had been down to the University basement briefly and how everything seemed weird and alien but nothing to worry about. You didn’t believe her hopeful assumptions, however, and you walked up to the large, locked doors along the wall. You place a hand near the lock, immediately feeling a hum erupt from the door, causing you to jump back. Bill called over to you, telling you that the two of you should leave before either The Doctor or Nardole returned, and you reluctantly followed her. On your way out of the basement, you kept looking back at the door, feeling as if something, or someone, was watching you.
Your curiosity only grew and burned into your brain. You were often distracted in class and on adventures because you couldn’t stop thinking about what was behind the doors in the university basement, and why The Doctor was hiding and locking whatever was in there away. You decided to go down there by yourself. You knew that Bill would try to stop you if she found out that you were going to go investigating again and you didn’t want to deal with her worry. If The Doctor found you in the process, you didn’t care. You wanted the truth.
You didn’t spend any time looking around the other alien treasures and went straight to the large doors. You paused and took a deep breath before placing your hand on the door. The doors to whatever this alien tech was hummed again, this time more pleasantly, and then the locks began turning and opening. The series of clicks and turning of gears stopped when the doors creaked open, causing a flurry of dust to spring up into the air.
“Ahhh, dearie! How wonderful it is to finally meet you! You know, that curiosity of yours might get you in trouble one day. You should be more careful.” The voice of a chipper Scottish woman floated out to where you stood. You peeked your head in through the door to see the woman with her brown hair pinned up atop her head and dressed in a fancy shirt and long dress combo that reminded you of Mary Poppins. All she needed was an umbrella to complete the look.
“Come on in, dearie. Don’t be shy. I won’t bite.” She waved you in and you closed the door behind you before the strange woman whispered a flirty “unless you ask me to.”
She motioned you to take a seat at a small table that would fit two people comfortably and asked you if you wanted some tea. You declined and asked her who she was and what she was doing here in this locked room. The strange, imprisoned woman poured you a cup of tea anyway, weirdly, just the way you liked it before explaining everything. Suffice it to say, you were shocked, but you believed everything she told you. You left the Vault, as Missy called it, even more curious about what this meant about The Doctor, but you were fully intending to take Missy up on her offer of returning. You would sneak into the Vault as often as you could whenever The Doctor or Nardole weren’t spying.
After months of flirting and innuendo-filled conversations, hiding from your friends and general fun evenings, you and Missy began dating. Missy was surprisingly more open than The Doctor, but once the two of you started dating, she would recount more childhood memories and experiences she had from her home planet. The space the two of you created within The Vault was the safest space you had ever been in. With Missy, you could be whoever you wanted to be, without any fear of judgement or rejection.
Despite how close the two of you were, you never talked about exclusivity when dating. You had naturally assumed that your relationship with Missy was exclusive given how passionately you would act with one another in both speech and actions. But there was no way to be positive. You knew that you would never do anything to go against Missy in that way, but there was no discussion between the two of you that would make the Time Lady knowledgeable about your feelings.
However, Missy had never seen you interact with Bill before this moment. The Doctor had needed the help of Missy, much to Nardole’s dismay and he thought that it was a good idea to drag you and Bill along, too. The Doctor ignored your knowledgeable face, he had been watching you go down to The Vault over the course of your friendship and deemed your relationship with Missy to be a safe one. He was more concerned about keeping that information away from Nardole and Bill who would not understand The Doctor’s acceptance of Missy or end up seeing that your relationship with Missy was helping her for the better.
This was Bill’s first time inside The Vault, and you could see that she was uncomfortable at the thought of The Doctor keeping a strange woman within this secret prison. So, you found yourself staying close to her and explaining the details about Missy that The Doctor and Nardole had conveniently passed over.
Missy saw you holding a comfortable position in reference to Bill, staying too close for the Time Lady’s comfort. Causing her to waltz over to you and interrupt whatever The Doctor was talking about. Missy stopped briefly in front of your face to look you in the eye. Her blue eyes were usually warm pools whenever she looked at you, but now they were cold and icy. You were shocked and looked at her, questioning if you had done something wrong. You noticed that out of the corner of your eye that Bill became uncomfortable with Missy's closeness, and she walked over to where The Doctor stood. You followed Bill’s movements until Missy’s firm hand grasped your chin and forced you to look her in the eye again. The Time Lady’s grip softened before she felt the temperature of your cheeks and forehead with the back of her hand. Dramatic concern arose on Missy’s face. She brought her hands up to your bare arms and let out a gasp when she felt how cool they were. You weren’t uncomfortable, but The Vault’s temperature was cooler than that of a normal Human home and you forgot to bring a jacket.
“Are you cold, my love?” You could tell from Missy’s voice that she was over acting on purpose, dramatising her movements and words for the audience in the room. You were unsure of why, however, The Doctor, the person whose opinion about your relationship she secretly feared the most, already knew and accepted everything. You found out The Doctor was fully aware of your relationship when one day he “subtly” asked you if you were dating anyone and observed that you were quite distracted in classes and on adventures. But neither of you spoke of it again, so you assumed that he was approving.
“A little bit, but I’m fine.”
“Don’t be silly! Take my coat, love. Can’t have you catching a cold.” Missy dramatically unbuttoned her coat, staring down Bill menacingly in the process, and wrapped her precious possession around your shoulders. After securing her coat around you, patting you down in certain questionable places, she leaned close to you and darkly whispered into your ear.
“Even though you catching a cold would cause me to have to take care of you all by myself.” You felt your face warm at the accusation when Missy pulled away, which caused her to smirk proudly.
The Doctor cleared his throat and sarcastically asked Missy if she was busy or if he could continue explaining the events of previous adventures and the point of The Vault to Bill. Missy combated her old friend with an equal amount of sarcasm, stating that she was “of course, pleasantly excited to hear The Doctor’s most recent speech.”
Missy strutted over to her sofa, swinging her skirt around with one hand and dragging you after her by her other hand. Once she sat comfortably on the sofa, Missy pulled you onto her lap and whispered in your ear about the things she would do to you once the two of you were alone, causing your face to heat up again with embarrassment and for you to miss what Bill, The Doctor and Nardole were discussing. Missy would smirk whenever she would catch Bill staring open-mouthed at the two of you.
“Well, this was fun!” Bill eventually said after The Doctor had explained everything, including your relationship with Missy.
“And not at all awkward, but I have a date that I don’t want to be late for.”
“A date?” Missy questioned looking over you protectively and unabashedly. You looked to Bill, who was looking quite awkward again and you decided to do your best to correct Missy’s assumptions.
“Yes, I helped Bill get a date with this one girl we saw at a bar. She was definitely Bill’s type, unlike me. So, I just had to help set it up!” Missy looked into your eyes to see if you were telling the truth and when she was satisfied with your statement she turned back to Bill.
“Well, Human, I hope that everything goes well for you on this date with a girl that is definitely not my lovely partner Y/n.” Missy turned away from Bill, The Doctor and Nardole as if they never existed and began playing with part of your outfit and kissed your jawline and neck. Your friends quickly left the room after saying a quick goodbye to you and Missy, who didn’t pay attention.
“What was that?” You removed yourself away from Missy’s attacking lips and looked her in the eye.
“What was what?” You rolled your eyes and questioned Missy’s possessiveness.
“No one touches my faithful companion, except for me, of course.” Missy leant into your body, holding you tightly and showing you how she truly meant what she was saying and was not acting with pure possessive emotion.
You kissed the Time Lady’s nose before delicately whispering to her.
“I love you, too, Missy!” She smiled brightly and confidently, knowing that your feelings were genuine and her feelings for you were reciprocated. Missy attacked you with kisses until you fell back onto the sofa and the two of you erupted into passionate giggles.

A/n - I hope that this is a gender neutral reader. I think that I managed to do that. Requested by @supermegapauselouca on my old Tumblr account, just wanted to reupload it on here. Also, I did write a sex scene for this, but I ended up removing it from this fic because I didn’t know how to end it and I am self-conscious about my smut writing abilities. But I can post it as like a Feeling Good 1.5, if anyone would want that. But anyway, I hope that you enjoy this!

You, along with The Fam, had weaselled out of The Doctor when her birthday was, or, at least, when she thought her birthday was. She said that she couldn’t quite remember exactly, which you found sad. Despite The Doctor’s hazy memory on the subject, you, Graham, Ryan, and Yaz decided to throw The Doctor a week-long birthday celebration as a thank you for all of the adventures she took you and The Fam on and all of the rescues she performed. You also wanted to make up for the birthdays all of you had missed celebrating since befriending The Doctor.
You were the most dedicated to The Doctor’s birthday celebrations. You were always by her side, introducing her to the day’s plans and making sure that The Doctor was always enjoying herself. If she wasn’t, you were there alert and ready to change plans at a moment's notice in order to make her happy. The entire Fam now knew of your feelings for the time-travelling alien, but Yaz knew long before your obsession with making The Doctor’s birthday celebration perfect. So, when she came trotting up to you one day with a suggestion for the last day of The Doctor’s birthday celebration, you almost didn’t know how to respond.
“You want me to do what, Yaz?!”
“Confess your feelings for The Doctor!” Your face fell in shock again. You couldn’t believe that Yaz would suggest something so absurd.
“Okay, yeah, sure. However, I am not going to do that!” You flusteredly shouted back.
“Come on! We all think you should confess already.”
“We? You told everyone- whatever! How do you expect me to do that, Yaz.” You wanted to confront Yaz about her loose tongue, but you didn’t have time for that now. You were just glad that Yaz hadn’t told The Doctor about your feelings behind your back.
“Seduce her. Well, not seduce because she likes you, too, but be sexy. Give her a lap dance!”
“No!” You shook your head furiously, completely horrified in shock.
“Yes!”
“No, Yaz! I am not doing that, in general, but especially not as a way to confess my feelings for her!”
“Yes, it is provocative, but we both know how The Doctor is. If you hint at your feelings, she is not going to understand. You have to be blunt.” You slumped your shoulders, you knew that Yaz was right about that fact, The Doctor was very oblivious. But you continued to argue that you couldn’t go through with it, and you walked away to go to bed.
There were still a couple more days of The Doctor’s birthday celebration and every day one, or all, of your friends would come up to you trying to convince you that giving The Doctor a lap dance would be a good idea. Every time, you, embarrassingly, denied them. Yaz would also always text at the worst times, always when you were talking to The Doctor, suggesting her confession plan. And eventually, you gave in; your resolve was completely broken.
You and Yaz met in your room and tried to decorate it in a sexy but aloof manner, at least, that is what Yaz described the aesthetic to be. The pair of you changed your sheets and bedspread to a silky dark red material and added a sheer dark red curtain around the top of your bedposts. Yaz explained that all she had to do now was tell The Doctor that you wanted to speak to her and while she did this, you would change into a sexy outfit and wait to hear The Doctor enter your room from your bathroom. Then you would seductively exit your bathroom and confess your feelings to The Doctor.
“I’ve made a ‘Sexy Playlist’ -” You kept trying to tell Yaz this important information, and Yaz talked over you every time. Even now, she interrupted you.
“Stop overthinking this, Y/n. You like The Doctor. The Doctor definitely likes you. If she likes seeing you as a potential partner, she won’t stop you, but if she does stop you, which is unlikely, then stop. But as I said before, The Doctor won’t stop because she likes you. It’s simple.”
“But what about my ‘Sexy Playlist’?” Yaz rolled her eyes but conceded.
“Okay, playing it in the background is probably a good idea, you know, for the mood. Might ease a bit of tension for both you and The Doctor.” You set up and connected your phone to the speaker in your room in preparation for everything. Finally, Yaz gave you one last confidence speech then left to enact the plan while you went to the bathroom to change.
You phone suddenly buzzed with a message from Yaz, she texted you earlier than you thought she would, saying that everything was ready, and The Doctor was on her way. You quickly finished getting dressed and eventually, you heard knocking. You waited with bated breath, hoping that The Doctor would just walk into like she usually did.
Then you heard your door open, and you breathed a quiet sigh of relief. You could hear from behind the bathroom door that The Doctor moved into your room while calling your name. You took a deep breath, hit play on “Sexy Playlist,” and then slowly exited your bathroom dressed in a white lacey set of lingerie and a red robe tied lousy around your waist.
“Ah! Y/n, what's going on…” The Doctor finally turned to look at you from where she sat in an armchair by your fireplace, but she went silent upon seeing what you were wearing. Instantly, her face turned bright red with a blush. That scared you. Your brain began running a million miles an hour worried that The Doctor didn’t like you this way. But you remembered that all of The Fam said that The Doctor really cared about you, so you pushed your doubts to the back of your mind and walked closer to The Doctor to the beat of the music. You seductively swivelled your hips to the music, drawing your hands up your side to enunciate your actions. You walked forward toward The Doctor and untied the belt of the robe. You brushed the robe slightly away from your body mid swivel of your hips causing your lingerie to be on full display for The Doctor. You could feel her gaze bore into your body. You then sat on The Doctor’s slightly spread legs. You hoped that feeling her would give you some comfort that dancing in front of her did not.
“Do you like what you see, Doc?” You seductively ran the tip of your index finger against your lips before you stroked the side of The Doctor’s face with the same finger.
“Ye-yes. I really like what I see.” The Doctor’s pupils grew larger than any time you’ve seen before. Maybe your friends were right? Maybe The Doctor did have feelings for you?
“Yo-you do?” You were so shocked by her reaction. You never thought that she would see you in the way you desired.
“Yes, Y/n, I really, really like what I see. I wish that I could see you like this more often.” The Doctor tightly gripped your waist and pulled you closer to her, causing you to lean on to her shoulders for support.
“You do?” You were so shocked by how forward she was being, though she probably felt the same way about you.
“Yes, if I had my way, Y/n, I would only have you looking like this when around me. All dolled up, wrapped in lace, completely at my will.” The Doctor’s eyes suddenly darkened, and a small smirk lined her lips. It was your turn for your face to heat up as you became flustered by The Doctor’s words. You had never seen The Doctor show this side of herself, but you enjoyed it. You wanted to hear her talk like this more. But instead of fully giving into The Doctor’s grip, you stood suddenly up far enough away from The Doctor to where she couldn't touch you, giving you the perfect opportunity to tease her and gain some power back in the situation.
“You want this, don’t you?” You let your robe fall to the ground then you removed the lace lingerie top, your chest now on full display and free from its fabric prison. You stood vulnerable yet confident before The Doctor in just your lacey underwear and stockings.
“This is what you want, Doctor. You want me.”
“Yes, it is, Y/n. Now come back here.” The Doctor moved forward and pulled you back to her by your wrists. Before you could sit back down on her lap, though, The Doctor placed her hands on your waist heavily and moved you to sit solely on her right leg.
The Doctor squeezed your hips, and then strongly guided them so you were grinding against her leg. You moaned quietly, causing The Doctor to hold onto your hips harder and control your movements to get you to moan for her again. While The Doctor guided your hips against her lap, she kissed down from your neck to your chest, leaving little bite marks and hickeys on your most sensitive areas. You had to grab onto The Doctor’s shoulders again to keep yourself steady on her lap, she was making you so weak for her.
Occasionally, your knee would rub up against The Doctor’s crouch, causing a moan to escape her own mouth. You smiled when you finally heard her moan, you had imagined this moment many times, and now you were finally experiencing it.
Quickly, The Doctor became impatient with the position that the two of you were in and she easily picked you up, walked over to your bed and threw you on it. The Doctor then crawled in between your legs and glided her hands up your torso, but suddenly she froze. The Doctor looked you in the eye and you saw her beautiful green and golden eyes soften.
“Are you okay?” The Doctor asked calmly, but her voice was filled with seriousness.
“Yes, Doctor. Are you?”
“Yes! I’m absolutely brilliant! Will you tell me if you are ever uncomfortable?”
“Of course I will, Doctor. I trust you.”
The strange alien then smiled sweetly above you before leaning down to kiss you passionately. You gladly kissed her back and snaked your hand up to her neck to deepen the kiss. The Doctor eventually reached up to grab your hand and slam it down on the bed. The Doctor continued to kiss you passionately and deeply, growing even more possessive and dominant with each passing moment. The two of you continued this dance into the night, passionately confessing feelings for the other until morning.

The Master loved you. He was obsessed with you. You were his and he was yours. He just didn’t know why he had these feelings for you. You were a Human! The Master would outlive you 100 times over and still have a long life ahead of himself. But he loved you, so suffering in your absence seemed like a minor inconvenience as long as The Master was granted the joy of spending one lifetime with you.
There was only one problem with the situation The Master found himself in: you hated The Master. The Master had killed a close friend of yours while he was disguising himself as O. The Master did try to make you understand his mindset, he would never have killed a friend of yours if he had known that they were your friend, but he didn’t know that at the time of their death. So, your friend was fair game.
Your hatred for The Master seemed to increase with all the time you were spending with The Doctor. She was poisoning your mind! The Master had to help you, get you away from The Doctor’s toxic lies. Maybe The Master could finally make you see that he was who you should trust? He was the one you should be travelling with. He loved you more than anything. He deserved to travel with you compared to The Doctor who just saw you as a new pet. The Master had to make you see the truth.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Master had kidnapped you five days ago, and you hated every second of your time with him. He was always around you, asking you constant questions about how you were feeling in your new home. He would loom over you, lean in too close to your face and always stare at your lips. You were disgusted by his audacity. All of this combined with The Master demeaning The Doctor at every chance, you were becoming infuriated. You were waiting, desperately, for the moment when The Doctor would burst through The Master’s TARDIS doors, or her TARDIS to materialise in The Master’s console room. Either way, The Doctor would have saved you and you would no longer be trapped within the walls of The Master’s TARDIS.
Tonight was difficult for you. You couldn’t stop thinking of what your future would be. Would The Doctor actually save you? Would you be stuck with The Master forever? What would he do if you didn’t give in to his affections? You couldn’t sleep, like many nights before while you were here in The Master’s TARDIS, and you were becoming restless. So, you walked to the kitchen in order to get something to eat and distract your mind from your kidnapping.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“What are you doing up?” The Master burst through the kitchen, startling you. You had no idea how long you had been in the kitchen, arguing with The Master in your head, but by his upset tone, it must have been a while.
The Master stalked toward you. He was trying to be mysterious and alluring, hoping that you would find it attractive, but he just ended up appearing menacing.
“I couldn’t sleep.” You said while mumbling into your hot drink to avoid his intense eyes.
“Why? You have everything you could ever want.”
“Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you kidnapped me.”
The Master huffed and turned to face away from you. He pinched the bridge of his nose while trying to come up with something that might impress you. No ideas come to his mind. He wanted you to love him so badly that he was getting emotional and not able to think properly. Maybe if he distracted you for a bit, he could come up with something brilliant.
“Let’s play a game, then.” The Master turned back around to you with open, exasperated arms.
“A game? You don’t seem like the type to play games.”
“Maybe if you took the opportunity to get to know me, you would find out what type of person I am.” The Master leaned on the table and loomed over you. He was smirking hopefully, but you were too tired to deal with his assumptions right now.
“I don’t want to get to know you.”
“Is that you talking or The Doctor?” Somehow, The Master leaned in even closer to you. To appear nonchalant, The Master stirred your drink with the spoon you lazily kept in it, before returning to stare at your eyes and lips.
“Me. It’s me talking. Believe it or not, I have a brain that isn’t controlled by The Doctor.”
The Master sneered. He believed you, of course, you didn’t sound like The Doctor like all of her other companions did. However, The Master latched onto the word control. He couldn’t help but imagine you being dependent upon him. Not necessarily 24/7 once you got used to being with The Master, but more so in the bedroom. The Master wanted to control you, completely destroy you with pleasure, and make you want no one else but him. But he would have to work to get you to like him first.
“Maybe you should tell The Doctor that then. She has been speaking for you.”
“You’ve talked to her.” You had been trying to avoid The Master’s gaze during this interaction, you weren’t exactly comfortable with the way he looked at you, so you tended to avoid looking at him entirely. However, when The Master mentioned The Doctor’s communications, you jolted your gaze up to look at The Master in excitement. The Master immediately realized his mistake. He just gave you hope of being saved. That was never going to happen; The Master knew that he better kill your hope in The Doctor now before you get too hurt.
“Before this. She hasn’t contacted me since I collected you, love.”
“Collected? You mean kidnapped. And I don’t believe you.”
“You should. It’s the truth.” A half-truth. The Master ignored every message he received. So even though The Doctor definitely tried to get in contact, The Master never saw said messages.
“Anyway, our game!” The Master needed to distract you and let you get some sleep before he made you love him.
“What game did you have in mind?”
“A staring contest.”
“Why?”
“You said that you weren’t tired. Prove it.” The Master cocked his head to the side and inspected your face: dark circles, burst blood vessels in your eyes, dry skin and messy hair. How did he let you get this bad? He needed to take better care of you.
“Fine! I’ll play your little game.” You finally agreed, too tired to argue. The Master ignored the bitterness in your comment and sat across from you.
When the two of you started the game, you realised that you had never looked The Master in the eye before. You thought you had, even though you knew that you hated looking him in the eye, but it was obvious to you now that you had never seen the beauty that was The Master’s eyes. His eyes were truly beautiful; a warm amber with dark coffee rings surrounding the outside of his iris. They almost remind you of a supernova; they were just so awe-inspiring. You couldn’t stop looking at The Master’s eyes and you felt yourself being drawn closer to him somehow.
“When did you get so close?” You blinked a couple of times trying to figure out when the two of you repositioned yourself in this way.
“I’ve always been this close, don’t you remember?” You shook your head and continued to blink many times in an attempt to blink away the sleepy feeling taking over you.
“Keep looking at me, love. You want to finish our game, don’t you?” The Master grabbed your chin to make you face him again. After he repositioned your face, he kept his hand on your cheek and rubbed his thumb soothingly in circles around your temple.
“Yes, Master.”
“Good Human.” You stared into The Master’s mesmerizing eyes until your eyes fully closed, feeling incredibly heavy. You felt yourself wobble for a moment before letting sleep finally take over. You fell onto The Master’s shoulder and The Master quickly scooped you up into his strong arms.
Maybe The Master hadn’t been the best master he could be to you. So, The Master dropped you off in his room to sleep off his hypnotism and began to enact his plan to woo you properly.

It had been a rough couple of weeks for you. The past couple of months had all been stressful, but the stress had amplified in the past few weeks.
The Master had made his presence visible a while ago, which you had frankly expected. The Master always seemed to have a knack for escaping every deadly situation with ease. What you didn’t expect, however, was to grow close to the Renegade Time Lord over various encounters and interactions. He didn’t expect this either but welcomed the change and the opportunity to eventually gloat to his best enemy about your connection. Then The Master, after many long and secret discussions, convinced you to travel with him as well as The Doctor. You know why you agreed to this situation, because of your crush on The Master, but you had not expected to be this drained because of it.
It wasn’t even the usual stress of adventures that would tire you out, though. You feared being found out by The Doctor or your fellow companions. You feared dying because there was double the chance of that now. You feared never seeing your family and friends again. You feared losing touch with your life on Earth because you barely spent any time there anymore. You feared the growing feelings you had for The Master and what that would mean for your life. These thoughts would circle your brain all the time, you could only think about something else when The Master distracted you. But now, late at night, alone, was when the thoughts would plague you with no relief.
The Master was gods-know-where in The TARDIS trying to fix a small hiccup with the engine in order to get you back to Earth in time to rest before the next time The Doctor showed up for you. Of course, because you had access to a time machine, you didn’t necessarily have to stick to a strict schedule, but you and The Master decided to construct one in order to make this situation easier for you. The Doctor could be haphazard in planning, but by having a schedule with The Master, the chance of the two rebel Gallifreyans showing up at the same time was greatly lessened.
You crept out of your room, wrapped in your favourite blanket, and asked The TARDIS to direct you to The Master. You walked through the halls of the machine, seeing her manipulate her walls for you in order to help you with your mission. The TARDIS led you to the lower engine room, just below the console room. It was filled with long wires and cords, of various thicknesses, cascading down from the ceiling, creating intricate, spider web-like, tangles between bits of machinery. The Master sat hunched in the corner of the room in an old-looking and oil-covered apron and goggles fiddling with a machine connected to easily a hundred wires.
“Master?”
You peeked your head around the corner of the room while knocking quietly on the doorframe. The Master wasn’t fond of being startled, but you didn’t want to bother him in the first place. You just wanted some help. The Master’s head jolted up to look at whatever was making the knocking, annoyance written on his face. He instantly calmed down when he saw that it was you making the noise, but once he got a proper look at you and noticed how tired you looked The Master grew worried.
“Y/n? What are you doing up? Is everything alright?” You shook your head absentmindedly; you couldn’t really tell where your head was currently.
“I’m sorry for bothering you. I know that you are working hard, but I just couldn’t sleep.”
The Master carefully stood up while easing the goggles over his head. He manoeuvred through the web of vine-like wires and cords in order to join you under the doorframe.
“Was your mind keeping you up again?” You nodded dozily before yawning into your blanket.
“Come on love, let’s get you to bed.”
The Master tutted your shoulder and you felt him push you in the direction of your room, but you stopped him and placed a blanket-covered hand over his arm.
“Do we have to go to my room?”
“You would be more comfortable there, no?”
“Probably, but once I go to sleep, you’ll leave, and I’ll be alone again. And dreaming me will probably be able to tell and I’ll wake up again.”
You trailed off when you noticed The Master staring at you with a mix of sadness and worry and care written on his face.
“And if I sleep on the sofa then you can continue to work on the engine.”
“The sofa it is then.”
Instead of heading directly to the sofa in the engine room, you trailed behind The Master as he headed to a little storage closet to collect some fluffy pillows and blankets. Then the two of you threw the soft supplies onto the sofa. Then the two of you walked to the kitchen to make some chamomile tea and get some warm milk. The Master collected some chocolate biscuits for himself before the two of you sleepily crept back to the engine room with all of your goodies.
The Master tucked you into the bed-like sofa before lighting some candles around the space. The Master then took a well-loved book out of one of his bigger on the inside pockets and began reading once you were ready. But none of this seemed to succeed in making you tired. You jolted up in frustration.
“This isn’t working, Master!”
“You just need to be a bit patient. You’ll fall asleep in no time.”
“You’re one to talk about being patient, Mr Short Fuse. And we have already tried this method many times, along with the warm milk, meditation, and you making me run circles around The TARDIS console. Clearly, nothing is working!”
The Master pinched the bridge of his nose in thought and frustration. He wasn’t mad at you; he was upset with himself. He selfishly wanted to have you be his full companion and he had been extending your time together slowly. But doing that decreased your rest time. He was causing you to suffer, which was the last thing he wanted to do. He wanted to make you happy and calm. The Master did think of one way to calm you down and help you sleep, but you might hate him if you ever found out about it. Your health was The Master’s number one priority, so hypnotising you seemed to be the only solution.
“Why don’t we play a little game, then?” The Master questioned eventually.
“What kind of game?”
“A staring contest.”
“That sounds very Human of you.” You poked The Master’s side jovially, yet tiredly.
“Don’t patronise me. I’m trying to help.”
“I know. I know. I’m just exhausted. I'm sorry.”
“Don’t apologise, my love. I understand. Now get comfy.” You sat up but huddled yourself into a couple of blankets and waited for The Master.
“Now just look into my eyes and try not to blink. Are you ready?”
“Ready, Master.”
“Okay. Go.”
You stared at The Master’s deep brown eyes. They reminded you of dark amber with flecks of golden honey and rich coffee-like colours highlighting various parts of his irises. They were truly beautiful, just like the rest of him. You could stare into his eyes forever if you were given the opportunity to do so. You thought that you saw The Master bittersweetly smirk, but you weren’t sure. Your eyes were feeling heavy all of a sudden. And so was your body. You felt yourself slouch and your eyes began to fall. Suddenly, darkness took over your world, but you jolted back into awakeness.
“I think I blinked.”
“That’s okay. We’ll just play another round. Keep looking into my eyes.”
You did as your Master told you to do and you continued to stare into The Master’s captivating eyes. The same heaviness washed over you, as it did before.
Thanks to The Master’s hypnosis, your eyes finally closed, and your body went limp, and you were finally asleep. The last thing that floated inform of your foggy brain was the love pouring out of The Master’s warm chocolate eyes.
The Master quickly lunged forward and caught you from falling back and hitting your head on the arm of the sofa. He then pulled you into his arms and rested your head on his shoulder.
“There you go, love. Get a good night's sleep for your Master.”
The Master hoisted you up into his arms and carried you throughout his TARDIS. He sarcastically rolled his eyes at his machine when he noticed that his ship was extending the hallways leading to your bedrooms. The Master paused in contemplation when he eventually reached your bedrooms. He assumed that you were unaware of the fact that he had placed your bedroom across from his, but now he had to make a choice. Should The Master tuck you into your bed or his?
The TARDIS opened his bedroom door for him, and The Master made a mental note to have a little chat with his ship when you were away. But The Master did in fact carry you into his room. He placed you in his messy bed. He couldn’t help but cringe as he reminisced about how he was much neater and proper in some of his other regenerations and how they would most definitely yell at him for having such a chaotic maintenance schedule. Missy would have had a double heart attack if she discovered that her future regeneration had placed a potential partner in a messy bed.
‘How are you supposed to impress them with all this mess, you silly sausage.’ She would have screamed.
The Master did as he intended, though. He tucked you in as best as he could into his messy bed. It looked like you were covered in a nest comprised of a mound of blankets rather than a neat bed. But The Master had to make do with you already hypnotised and asleep like the dead.
The Master then gathered up some devices and notes and climbed into his side of the bed. He tinkered away at some plans while watching over you while you took your well-deserved night’s rest. Eventually, though, The Master also grew tired. It had been a couple of days since he got a proper night’s sleep. The Master stacked his notes and devices onto his bedside table. He then curled himself around you under the mound of blankets and quickly fell asleep with your intertwining scents filling The Master’s nose. Hopefully, you wouldn’t question why you were in The Master’s bed or why he was cuddling you once you woke up in the morning.
Hi! I accidentally deleted the original request because I was trying to fix my Tumblr.
But anyway, thank you so much for this request! I made two versions. One is a softer fic, and the other is darker and more possessive.
I hope that you enjoy them!

Something's going wrong with my messages and replies. So, if you messaged me, I'm not ignoring you, Tumblr is just being funky!
If anyone has any thoughts on how to help me, that would be very much appreciated
1 and 13 for DW asks : )
Hi bestie! :) I am totally answering this drunk because I had a busy school work day yesterday and I am just trying to have a fun night. Please forgive the rambling!
How would you die/leave if you were a companion?
I don't think that I would be able to leave The Doctor unless they treated me poorly. I would want to continue to travel the universe for as long as possible.
Maybe The Doctor left me?
Or I would die trying to save The Doctor.
Or something similar to what happened to Donna would probably happen to me.
Either way, I don't think that I would get the happiest ending.
Whatever happens, though, I hope that The Master saves me!
13. What's a piece of canon that you completely disregard whenever you come across it?
Ooo, there are probably a lot. I just live in my own little story that I made up in my head.
I'm mostly familiar with NuWho, so that's what I'm going to base my answer around. Once I get more into Classic Who and Big Finish audios, I will probably have more.
But anyway, other than fanfics, I'm not the biggest fan of The Timeless Child. Again, this is solely because of my maladaptive daydream, but I always had this image of The Doctor standing up against the corruption of The Elders of Gallifrey. In my long-running (since I was 10) maladaptive daydream, I haven't been able to mix it in.
And I feel the same way about the Ashildr/Me storyline. They are both fun and interesting, I just don't know how to incorporate them into my maladaptive daydream, so I don't think of those storylines as much.
And I mentioned this before, but I love the idea of The Tenth Doctor, Simm!Master, Donna, and The Reader traveling together, so I juts want to ignore what happened to Donna.
oh. i just found out that the writer of the vincent van gogh doctor who episode wrote it as a tribute to his sister.
Hiya!! 4 and 14 for the ask game? :D
Hiii bestie! :) I am answering this now (when I am tipsy) because I had a busy homework day on Sunday.
4. Who's wardrobe would you like to steal?
I think that I already dress similarly to Capaldi!Doctor/Twelfth Doctor, especially during the wintertime. Just tons of plaid trousers and ratty old sweaters and hoodies. And I dress like Rose Tyler on casual days. So I could share wardrobes with them.
However, I think that I might like to steal Martin!Doctor/ The Fugitive Doctor's wardrobe or Dhawan!Master's.
I'm not really sure why, but I love The Fugitive Doctor's outfit. I might have some sensory issues with the tuffy ruffles of her shirt because I don't know material it's made out of, but I love the look of her vibrant shirt covered by the TARDIS-like blue of her suit.
And The Master is The Master. They are always classy. I saw your post praxeus-13 with this number, and I totally agree with you! Dhawan!Master's outfit gives me gender envy! I want to look as good as he does!
But, also, I want all of The Doctor's and The Master's coats! I need them!
And (finally as a drunk note) I just wish that I looked good in ties, bowties, suspenders, etc. I don't think I do, which makes me sad, but I always looked to The Doctor and The Master as the pinnacle of fashion and my genderfluid self wants to look like those genderfluid alien.
14. What's a song or piece of writing that you associate with a character/story arc/relationship on the show?
I love looking through soundtracks for any form of media; it's one of my favourite things to do when I become invested in a new show/movie/etc. So, I definitely find myself listening to songs from Doctor Who in my day-to-day life. Rasputin by Bony M, Voodoo Child by Rogue Traders, I Can't Decide by The Scissor Sisters, Chances by Athlete, etc.
I listen to Skyfall by Adele a lot when thinking about Spyfall parts 1 and 2.
And I think of Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams when I think of Tennant!Doctor/Tenth Doctor because of episode The Christmas Invasion.
Now a list of my random maladaptive daydream song choices -
Where Did The Time Go? by Dr. Dog - Travelling with The Doctor or Master
Ruler of Everything by Tally Hall - Master vibes
Problem by Mother Mother - The Master x their love interest
Arms Tonight by Mother Mother - That one scene from Last of The Time Lords where The Master died in The Doctor's arms
As The World Falls Down by David Bowie - The Master seducing their lover
Cold Cold Cold by Cage the Elephant - This song reminded me of Vincent Van Gogh, but also my own struggles with depression and anxiety
Spillways by Ghost - This song reminds me of all the trauma both The Doctor and The Master faced at the hands of Gallifreyan Elders, but this song is also the inspiration for a fic/maybe fic series I am making about The Reader being the Timeless Child (thanks to a very kind anon)
And finally (I have more if anyone is interested) Sunflower, Vol 6 by Harry Styles reminds me of Vincent Van Gogh

You heard some shuffling and some soft bumps from outside your room. You assumed that the sound was caused by one of your neighbours. Your upstairs neighbour, in particular, had the propensity to stomp when they were tired. So, in your half-asleep mind, you turned in your bed to find a more comfortable position and try to go back to sleep because there was nothing to be worried about. But some time not too long after hearing the noise, you felt two slender arms snake around your stomach. You nearly jumped out of your skin until you heard jestful tutting in your ear.
“Now, now, my dearie … Aren’t scared of your Mistress, are you?”
“You know that I am not, Missy. But maybe don’t stalk into my room in the middle of the night next time.” You relaxed into Missy’s warm body, excited to fall asleep in her arms and have a serious discussion of why she escaped The Vault again later when you were more awake. Missy seemed to have other plans, however.
“But I love getting your heart racing!” Missy nipped at your ear wantonly and nuzzled into your side. If she was going to tease you when you were half asleep, you were going to find out why.
“Missy, what are you doing here?”
“The Vault was cold.” She somehow nuzzled closer to you. Her breath was so hot against your neck and her arms gripped tightened their grip on you.
“Missy…”
“Seriously. The Doctor and that oaf Nardole don’t allow me to control the temperature of The Vault even though I am the one being forced to stay there.”
“Missy. Why are you really here? I know when you are upset about something.” You heard her sigh defeatedly into your neck but told you the truth softly.
“I missed you.” You turned in Missy’s strong grasp and kissed her cheek.
“I like hearing you say that. And I missed you, too. I could have visited you if you had wanted me to. You didn’t need to come all the way out here. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you.”
“No, I like being here with you, rather than at The Vault.”
“Do you want to do anything or just sleep?”
“Just sleep. I can tell that you are tired. And I sleep better with you.
“Goodnight Missy. I love you so much.” Missy kissed your forehead and buried herself into your torso.
“I love you more. Now sleep, my dearie.”

You rushed to open the door to your flat and finally get out of the rain. The Doctor offered you a cheerful hello and you tried to give her the same energy back but weren’t able. You were too cold and wet from being drenched by the evening English rain to respond cheerfully.
The Doctor had asked to stay with you for a couple of days at your apartment. You allowed her to but questioned why she would want to do that. The Doctor explained that she needed to do some maintenance on The TARDIS, and she needed a stable environment to do so. Apparently, the last time she tried to clean some of her TARDIS’s core coils while floating through space, she almost crashed into the moon of a neighbouring planet, and she wasn’t keen on repeating that experience.
“Ugh! Why do I always forget my umbrella on rainy days?” You shifted your soaking coat off of your body and hung the object upon the hall coat rack, a rung away from The Doctor’s silvery-light blue coat.
“Coincidences! The universe was just having a bit of fun …” The Doctor’s sentence trailed off into silence once she got a good look at you.
“Well, I’m not having fun!” You huffed while trying to untie your wet and grimy shoes.
The Doctor saw the colour of your bra through your now sheer, wet blouse. It was a light blue with dark blue lace accentuating it. It was probably unnoticeable when your blouse was dry, but now the light blue of the bra was staring The Doctor down. The Doctor had to turn around with a groan and a quiet “Oh, brilliant” when she saw the tiny dark blue bow in the middle of the bra, right between your breasts. She couldn’t help but imagine that you were wearing a matching pair of panties with a little dark blue bow in the centre. Like a little bow on top of a present that she desperately wanted to unwrap.
“Are you alright, Doc?” You questioned The Doctor’s distant attitude as you drudged toward your bedroom in order to change out of your wet clothes.
“What?! Yes. No? What are we talking about?” The Doctor’s eyes were wide and looking around everywhere and her hands were flailing around more than usual.
“I was just asking if you were okay, Doctor. You seem a bit … distracted.”
“Everything’s fine! I swear. Absolutely brilliant!” The Doctor then began shifting from foot to foot while hiding her mouth with her fist shaped hand.
“Well, I’m going to go change into some dry clothes, okay? Then we can order in and watch a movie or something.”
“Yeah, that sounds great.” The Doctor held up a thumbs up, ran out of the conversation. You watched as she jumped over the back of your couch and landed on the seat before being to scroll through your television for movies.
When you got to your room and finally saw yourself in the mirror you groaned in embarrassment when you saw that your chest and bra were completely visible through your shirt. No wonder The Doctor was acting weird! You paced around your room for a moment, cursing yourself, before finally drying off and changing. However, even though you changed clothes, your mind wouldn’t stop racing. You slowly walked out of your room, scared of how The Doctor would be acting.
“I already ordered your favourite! That one thing from that one place that you introduced me to my first day I stayed over. And I picked some movies.” The Doctor mainly looked at the floor, only occasionally looking up to you but she would quickly look back down. You could tell that her eyes never ventured up to your face, they would always stop around your chest. Her face was also permanently tined red with a deep blush. Under different circumstances, you would have loved knowing that The Doctor couldn’t stop staring at your chest. However, right now, you were just worried that you made her incredibly uncomfortable.
You and The Doctor ate in worrying silence, apart from the movie that you were barely paying attention to. It was a children’s movie, though. That you gathered. And thankfully, it did lighten the mood and clear your head a bit regarding the soaked through shirt incident. After the movie ended, you prepared to ask The Doctor about what had happened earlier.
“Doctor, can I talk to you about something?”
“Yes, you can always come to me for anything.” The Doctor seemed to be in good spirits under all the franticness, so that was a good sign.
“Did you see my bra through my shirt earlier?” The Doctor took a deep breath and turned away for a moment. When she turned back, she was staring a hole in the floor of your flat.
“Yes, I happened to see it.” The Doctor responded with trepidation, causing you to groan again in embarrassment. The Doctor wanted to reassure you, but you beat The Doctor in speaking.
“Doctor, I am so sorry! I never want to make you uncomfortable.”
“Y/n, why are you apologising? I am the one that should be apologising to you.” You shook your head and tried to argue against The Doctor, but she wanted to set the record straight.
“You never made me uncomfortable. I should apologise to you because I couldn’t stop staring at how beautiful you looked. I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable.” You sighed in relief and collapsed into The Doctor’s body. You were so relieved that you hadn’t made her uncomfortable, that was the last thing that you wished to ever do. Because of your stress, it took you a moment to realise what The Doctor had just confessed. You popped back up from The Doctor’s arms to look The Doctor in the eye.
“So, you think I look beautiful, Doctor?” You smirked with sudden confidence.
“I - Well, of course, I do. Of course, I think that you are beautiful. You are the most beautiful person in the world, Y/n.”
“Do you really mean that?”
“Yes, absolutely.”
“I’ll forgive you for ogling my chest, then.” You kissed The Doctor’s cheek then jumped up from your couch in order to get a drink of water from your kitchen. With the eyeful The Doctor received earlier in the evening, she could handle some teasing now. Maybe a bit of teasing would cause something more adult to occur tonight.

------------------------------------------------------------
The Doctor felt lonely and depressed lately, much more than she usually did when she had a TARDIS full of companions. She didn’t know how to be herself or see herself or even act like herself anymore. She had been this way for a while, ever since The Master revealed The Doctor’s real backstory and she was forced into the Judoon prison, The Doctor had been wanting someone to help her remember who she really was before all that happened.
The Doctor loved the Fam, she called them her family for a reason. But you were different. You had always been different. The Doctor had never been that fond of physical touch, but after the trauma and isolation she experienced, she became desperate for it. Well, she became desperate for your touch. The Doctor just became aware of how strong her feelings for you were when she was forced away from you and sent to prison. The Doctor had no idea how to inform you of her newfound feelings, however. So, she chose to remain silent, but she wanted you so badly. She had a feeling that you were the right person to help her through this time of intense change.
The environment was complicated after The Doctor returned to the Judoon Prison, too, not just The Doctor’s feelings revolving her identity. Everyone wanted to continue to travel with The Doctor, but all of you were hurt from the time spent apart. Except for Dan, but he was incredibly understanding of the circumstances. All of this, plus The Doctor’s unexpressed trauma and feelings made certain adventures and trips difficult to handle. Especially the last few trips. You, The Doctor, and the rest of her companions were all suffering silently when you went to sleep last night. The TARDIS was aware of everything happening in your heads, though, and she was felt like she had been biting her tongue for too long. The TARDIS needed to make sure her guests were all taken care off, so she prepared for a rest day.
It had been cold in the wall of the ship all morning. The Doctor tried to fix it before you and the rest of her companions woke up but was unsuccessful. The ship remained freezing cold and on top of all that, the console seemed to be frozen as well. The Doctor grumbled around the console room while talking to her ship, but you and your friends were happy to have a TARDIS day to relax. It had been a long time since all of you did that. The Doctor could fix the heating another day.
The rest day was filled with so much laughter. All of you watched multiple movies, made some hot cocoa and cookies and made a large pillow fort to relax in. At one point, you and your friends had a massive pillow fight. You, The Doctor and Yaz were on one team and Dan, Ryan, and Graham were on the other. You, The Doctor, and Yaz won the game, but then The Doctor hit you with a surprise attack and then that caused all of you to start a free-for-all pillow fight.
Unfortunately, though, the fun relaxing day had to end, and you and the rest of The Doctor’s companions prepared to go to sleep. You stopped in the doorway of the movie room before heading off to bed. When you noticed that The Doctor wasn’t also getting ready for bed like the rest of you. The Doctor was standing, staring, at the pillow fort the six of you had made while massaging her forehead. You tried to ask what she was thinking about, but you just managed to startle her. The Doctor jumped when she heard you, whipping out her sonic and pointing it at you. Once she realised that it was you and not some renegade alien breaking into her home, she quickly pocketed her sonic and offered you a quiet apology.
“You okay, Doc?”
“I’m fine, Y/n. You should get some sleep.”
“So should you. I know you don’t need as much sleep as I do, but you seem to be a bit off recently.”
“I’ll try.” You gave The Doctor a look, not fully believing her statement.
“I promise I will try to get some sleep, Y/n.” You nodded, sadly but decided to not push the person you cared enough the most any further. But before you left for your bedroom you spoke to The Doctor one more time.
“If you need me, Doc, for any reason, I’ll be in my room.”
You smiled and waved her goodnight. The Doctor waved back half-heartedly, more concerned with the implications of your past statement. Was that a purely platonic invitation or something more? Was The Doctor horrible for wanting something more intimate with you? Or have you been wanting a more romantic relationship with The Doctor for so long that this was your final attempt in getting her attention? The Doctor had to find out what you meant by your statement.
Upon entering your room, you released a hefty sigh. All you wanted was for The Doctor to feel better and to feel comfortable with talking to at least one of you. Of course, you wished that you were the person that she would come to, but just seeing her open up would be good to see, too. After climbing into bed and talking to yourself about your relationship with The Doctor and her mental and physical health, you finally quieted your mind and got some sleep. But you were woken up suddenly when you felt a cold hand against your stomach and a presence beside you.
“Doctor?” You hoped that your speculation was correct. Otherwise, a stranger would be in your bed.
“Yeah, it’s me.” You breathed a sigh of relief.
“Are you feeling alright?”
“I don’t know. But I do know that it is horribly cold in the TARDIS, and you are always so warm, and I didn’t want to be alone again.” In your sleepiness, you turned around to face The Doctor and pushed her onto her back before crawling up to lay on her chest.
“Well, I should warm you up, then.” You mumbled into The Doctor’s chest. You were unaware of how flustered this caused The Doctor to become. But eventually, The Doctor wrapped her arms around you and the two of you fell asleep.
“Good morning, Doctor.” You woke up curled into The Doctor’s neck.
“Good morning, lo - Y/n.” The Doctor responded. Her voice was deeper and a little raspy. You wanted to hear her sound like that every morning.
“Did you sleep well?”
“I think that was the best sleep I’ve ever had.” The Doctor said solemnly.
“Really?!” You popped your head up from The Doctor’s chest to look at her face. Your happiness upon hearing The Doctor’s confession made The Doctor smile.
“Yeah. You are a very comforting presence, even when sleeping.”
“I think that was the best sleep I’ve ever had, too, Doctor.” The Doctor brushed a hand down your face. She couldn’t believe that this was happening. After everything that she had been through, she didn’t feel deserving of having you in her arms or sleeping in your bed.
“Do you really mean that?”
“Of course, Doctor! I would never lie to you.” You both looked at each other longingly, adjusting closer to each other every once in a while, in hope that something more would happen this morning. But then your alarm started blaring, making you remove yourself from The Doctor’s arms. Unfortunately, you had to get up and prepare for the day, as did The Doctor. As you prepared all of the things you needed for your shower you spoke to The Doctor before she left your room.
“You know, you can sleep in my bed anytime you want.”
“Do you mean that?”
“Of course! I want you to be comfortable and happy, Doc.” The Doctor smiled at you and waved you a goodbye as a pledge to see you later that day. She might not be quite ready to open up fully to you yet, but she was getting there. And knowing that you would always be there for her made her feel so much safer.
Summary - You catch Missy breaking into your flat.
Warnings - nothing, just funny fluff
Word Count - 706
A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Not Requested. Just had this funny idea that Missy really likes breaking into places and stalking
------------------------------------------------------------
You had no idea how long Missy had been trapped in The Vault. You say trapped loosely. You were very aware that Missy would sneak out of The Vault whenever The Doctor or Nardole weren’t monitoring her too closely. Of course, it was obvious that Missy also enjoyed a challenge, and she would sometimes escape just to see if someone would notice and catch her.
You hadn’t noticed the first few times Missy had escaped whilst you were a companion of The Doctor’s. You eventually caught on, however, when you began smelling a fancy perfume drifting throughout your apartment at random times. The next time you went on an adventure with The Doctor, you interrupted him and Nardole discussing an anomaly with The Vault. They, of course, halted their conversation as soon as they saw you.
They believed that you were completely unaware of The Vault and that there was a person being kept in there, which you didn't really understand. The Vault was blatant to anyone who travelled down to the basement, which you had done many times, and whoever or whatever was in there was the opposite of quiet. You had no idea, however, that the person was Missy or that she had been watching you.
Missy’s secret was discovered by you one day, however. You were crowded into your bedroom finishing up some online work. Missy apparently thought that you were out as she crawled ups through your window. You heard movement and grabbed an umbrella from the hallway by your door. You screamed upon seeing the Victorian-looking woman climbing in halfway through your window.
“Hello, dearie! It’s an absolute pleasure to finally meet you!”
Bonus Under The Cut
Missy, somehow gracefully, fully climbed through your window and then patted down her Victorian-looking outfit. You couldn’t help but wonder why she was locked in The Vault. Other than looking a bit like a ghost haunting an old home, she didn’t appear to be that menacing.
“Are you the person in The Vault?”
“Were you going to hit me with an umbrella?” Missy ignored your question and cocked her head to the side to look at your makeshift weapon. Honestly, she was a bit impressed that you were prepared to attack her.
“Maybe, possibly. Never mind what I am using as a weapon, answer my question before I hit you!” Missy held up her hands defensively. She liked you more than she thought she would.
“Yes, I am the person in The Vault.
“Well, how do you keep getting out?”
“Not going to snitch on me are you, dearie?” Missy winked at you, causing you to become a bit flustered.
“No, just curious how you keep breaking out of there and breaking into my flat.”
“You know about that?” Missy’s impressed feelings for you continued to grow.
“Your perfume tends to linger.” Missy sniffed the air.
“It appears that it does. I’ll keep that in mind when I sneak out of the Vault again.”
“So, what do you want?”
“You, dearie.” You raised your umbrella protectively again.
“Not like that. I wish to get to know you. I think that we will get along.”
“You’ve got to admit that you phrased that weirdly.”
“Fair enough.” There was a bit of an awkward silence as Missy trailed off and began looking around your place. So, you decided to introduce yourself to this stranger.
“Well, I’m Y/n. Please don’t hurt me, or kill me, or hurt my friends.”
“I am The Master, but you may call me Missy if you like. I will never hurt you and as long as your friends don’t aggravate me, nothing will happen to them.”
“Including The Doctor?”
“We will wait and see for that one.” The two of you fell back into that awkward silence. Missy seemed intent on finding things out about you by going through your things. You would rather just get to know her like a normal person, despite how much The Doctor would protest everything you were doing.
“Do you want to watch a movie or something?”
“Yeah, alright.” Missy shrugged her shoulders, jumped down from where she was investigating the top shelf of your bookshelf, and then practically skipped past you to make her way to your sofa.
