“Wait your dad is that one dude? I forget his name but I think I know who you’re talking about.” Of course Irey knew who it was thanks to the many stories from Lock, Shock, and Barrel but if she can confirm who it is, the girl knew this would bring in some brownie points where Oogie the next time they talked.
“The Pumpkin King! You can’t know Halloweentown without knowing him,” he exclaimed. His dad was the most famous person in Halloweentown, if she knew the town she had to know of Jack Skellington. It never occurred to him that he should be cautious of the girl that called herself Oogie’s daughter.
It had been years since Salem heard that particular nickname, it was odd how Wyatt had been the only one to ever make the association. “Wyatt,” he breathed out the male’s name, removing his mask and moving forward to get a better look at him despite being unable to see his face completely. "It’s --- a lot’s happened but you’re here,” he started with a small smile, not really knowing what to say but he wanted to say something to the other.

Since the isle was opened and everyone left for Auradon, most people who had been close once, we now rarely seen, but with the ball so full, he assumed he would see some familiar people. He noticed the posture of one man immediately - you didn’t forget the way someone you once called best friend looked like. Making his way over to him, he smiled softly “Well Well, kitty kat.” he teased the other over his name since it was so synomenous with a cat.

Emitting a groan, Eden reached forward and smacked the other upside the head before taking his face between her hands. Her pupils seemed to shrink as she stared into his, searching for…something. After a moment, she released him with a bit of a shove backwards. “Ugh, you’re utterly useless.”
“ Ow--- ! ” His small cry of pain was cut off as she stared into his eyes but there was nothing to find but a glazed over look. That was the whole point of being high. No one would ever know that their was more to him. “Ya gotta take me on a date first before you start talking dirty,” he finally responded with a grin when he snapped out of his daze.
“I’m still dead, I can’t stay like this forever, I don’t think so anyways.” He shrugged, very unconcerned about his state of life or afterlife. “It’s more like I’m possessing a body made especially for me.” The wonders of magic. While he would have been perfectly happy to inhabit Auradon in his ghost form, an agreement had been reached that it was better if he was not in such a disfigured form.

“So, explain to me again how one just goes about un-dying. As far as any of the spirits back at the mansion are aware, death is a fairly permanent state of being.” It was a concept she simply couldn’t seem to wrap her head around. “I, for one, know that there are several happy haunts who would much rather maintain their lack of life.”

“well, sometimes is better than never being right,” gil sighed, his lips pulled down in a frown at the male’s words before sending his a warm grin. “that’s not true ! i want to be near you, addict or not – you’re my friend. eventually you’ll work through your problems,” the villian kid assured salem before blinking at him and turning to giggle at his glass of liquor. “i guess the drink got to me, ‘cause i comletely forgot about it,” he let out a laugh as he faced salem once more. “oh ! how many tattoos do you have ?”
the words make salem pause, he simply stares at gil for a long, drawn out moment before a smile breaks out across his face. “i hope, that if there’s still hope for me, i get to be with someone like you. someone forgiving,” he added earnestly. gil had quickly become a dear friend to him and he hoped he would be able to keep him around unlike many of his former friends. “ah, maybe it’s time to stop then.” as much as he indulged himself, salem was careful about letting others overdrink. “these ones are all over my body.” he pulled the collar of his hoodie down to reveal ink black stitching circled around the base of his throat. “neck, legs, arms, and torso. ma drew the line at getting them on my face.” he chuckled. “do you have any tattoos?”

Elva sighed, “Salem…” She didn’t know how to follow it. Once upon a time, they had been very close, and then the drugs and the parties…it was so dangerous for Elva to have any friends at all. But someone like Salem, who was full of potential for volatile emotions, was especially vulnerable. “Ten minutes.”
The male glanced over, resisting the urge to frown when she said nothing more. “You know ---- I think they’re already gone,” he started, pulling away from Elva. This was a mistake. He had screwed up by asking her for help. “I should get going.”
wickedissms:
“Well, you should stop now.” Maleficent pushed him away, a grin on her face. “Obviously you won’t tell anyone about what happened,” she continued to exert her influence. “I wouldn’t worry about the drugs.” They were better to his mind weak and ready for entry, “Go and get your girl, or at least tell her about her unfaithful pirate.”
“Everyone needs a good hug now and then.” He chuckled, stepping back anyways when she pushed him. As calm as he felt, he still knew not to push his luck with the sorceress. He cocked his head in confusion, wanting to argue the point but he simply nodded with a small smile. “Yeah, I should tell her the good news. And again, thanks. This is... unbelievable.”

Fingers deftly sewed through the varying colors of fabric, melding two completely different patterns into one piece. No matter how oddly matched they appeared, the final product always looked good to Sally. There was a whimsical positive in the oddity of her creations; no one looked alike, and no one else in Auradon would dare sell them. Which, she thought was a true shame, but it had been the reason which spurred her to open up a shop all of her own in the first place. A soft ‘mhm’ sounded from her as she continued to work, glancing up every few seconds to catch Salem’s gaze. “Oh, I’m sure you can find new ways to give people a good spook. This is a chance for you to get even more creative. Use all that gelatinous mass our heads are filled with,” A wry smile curled onto her lips, and she paused, leaning forward on her elbows to peer at Salem directly. “Tell you what. Tell me what you’ve tried already, and maybe we can brainstorm something new. What do you say?”
As much as he adored his mother, it was hard to be around her these days. Every cell of his physical being wanted to tell her the truth, confess everything and relieve himself of the burden of all his secrets. It was odd how much becoming human had changed him. He had been human once, long ago, but he hardly remembers that life and he knows the afterlife has been much kinder to him anyways. “Do you think I can become as good as dad someday?” He asked suddenly, already knowing what his mother would say but he wanted to hear it anyways. How anyone survived without a mother like his, he would consider that the ultimate mystery. “Really?” His whole face lit up as he began to explain to her some of the usual tricks he used. “Jumping out at people just doesn’t have the same effect anymore now that my face is all --- normal. And I can’t turn invisible anymore !”
