Ooooh whats your opinion on Sunstreaker?

Unfortunately he's not in a lot of things, so I really only have opinions about g1 and idw. I absolutely love g1 sunstreaker. He and tracks are The Guys With Funny Voices That I Like For Nebulous Reasons tm. There isn't much to them but they're silly and have fun designs :)). I think the biggest fumble regarding sunstreaker is that he should've been in more episodes and interacted with more of the cast lol. I'd love to have seen he and Sideswipe get into hijinks (probably caused by Sideswipe lol). As for idw Sunstreaker itsss hrrmmmm. I feel like there's a lot of ideas there that could've been executed better. He should've had more of a identity before what happened to him imo. Like, iirc, they kinda just drop him into the story, traumatized him, and then dropped him like that one Toystory meme w Andy after the d-void mess. I especially didn't like how, despite being the victim in all of this, Sunstreaker isn't really focused on as a person. Like, they do sometimes, but the story feels much more focused on the human character (forgot his name lol), Hot Rod, and setting up Skorponok. They do bring him up later on which I found a bit interesting, but it really frustrated me that Sunstreaker was still pretty much delegated to "guy who suffers" after being rescued by Ironhide and repaired by Alpha Trion. And after everything that he goes through, he's still placed on the side line and minimized to just his suffering/trauma. **What annoys me more about this is that we see him after d-void, he's in the background crew of the lost light and we see him briefly in Hoist (?) Spotlight. More couldve EASILY been added to his character, and we could have actually watched him grow and process his trauma. But we don't, he's just in the background the whole time which is such a waste. Especially because Sunstreaker was involved with some pretty inportant plot points ever since he was captured on eath. You'd think the character who RATTED OUT THE AUTOBOTS would get focus or at least some attention in a comic that focuses on characters relationships with the autobot and decepticon causes (Drift, Megatron, Tailgate, Cyclonus, and Brainstorm). The only possible reasons I can think of Sunstreaker getting next to no attention/development whilst aboard the Lost Light is due to the large cast or not wanting to be too connected to idw's previous stories ("Oh, Sunstreaker was involved with the plot a lot, maybe people will be tired of him"). I think both reasons are bullshit tbh, Sunstreaker doesn't have to be a main character to get focused on, Trailbreaker wasn't lol. And the second reasoning is just lazy (which is why I'd like to think that wasn't the reason lol).** I think that idw Sunstreaker could've been so good, but he was just fumbled cause the authors treated him as a vessel for angst more than anything >.>. Granted, I could be misremembering a lot of this, I read idw in high school and it's been awhile since then lol. Ultimately he's a cool guy who needs to be in more things. I feel like modern tf media just cycles through the same 5 guys, which is a shame cause tf is KNOWN for having like a billion characters lol. Please,,,,use them hasbro,,,I beg,,,,

realized I had free will yesterday and made two pans of brownies, honestly life is going pretty good now that I have a lot of little snacks
after doing nothing but play rain world: the watcher for 4 days (bar monday i had to go to college sadge) and i have now completed the whole dlc as it currently stands. i have many thoughts
EVERYTHING BELOW HERE WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS!!! FOR EVERYTHING!!!!! THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING
alright. starting with the generic spoilers
first up, the beginning. HOLY FUCK I ADORED THE BEGINNING OF THE CAMPAIGN. i wish my clipping software wasnt broken so that i couldve clipped my reaction to That One Chimney Canopy Room. literally as i was climbing i was speculating on when in the timeline Watcher was (my thought was around hunter/gourm) and then Boom. rot jumpscare. i am The Rot Enjoyer so i was genuinely ecstatic. also the jumpscare of Hydroponics being in Industrial was rather funny
(also idk where else to mention it but all the drawn art for watcher is so gorgeous. the colour theory used is geneuinely breathtaking. the last frame of the intro cutscene is beautiful)
secondly, the world (or, what of one there is). being able to get lost in the world is something i havent been able to truly experience up until now (i didnt play any of base game or downpour blind) so it was delightful getting lost in these gorgeous and unique regions.
and aether ridge i suppose
i really dont think aether ridge was a good choice for a modded inclusion. i mean just off the top of my head i can think of several Better regions with better maps that they couldve used. but like. thats also a handful of regions amongst TWENTY THREE. THAT IS MORE THAN THE REST OF THE FUCKING GAME. INSANE. so many regions that i straight up didnt see two of them in my first playthrough
i do wish the world has at least some interconnectivity like in base and downpour. i miss the cohesive and grounded world but also that is just Not what watcher is about so its alright. its still cool regardless. also the implications of some regions being timeline variants of others??? hell yeah
thirdly, the new creatures. fuck barnacles all my homies hate barnacles
in all seriousness though, most of the creatures are cool additions (sea slugs my beloveds <3) i just wish there was some more interspecies interactions besides the moths throwing lizards around. itd make the world feel more alive. the barnacles also need a massive tweak they are just actually bullshit sometimes.
i ADORE the rotzards though. ough the pained noises they make,,,, i love them sm theyre so cool. i wish more creatures got rotted. i wouldve KILLED to see a rotted whale or loach. that one rotted void worm took me OUT
fourthly, the gameplay loop. the weakest part of the game. the total lack of any direction or assistance is upsetting. in base rain world you have the overseers to guide you, and in downpour you have your anchor points in FP and LttM. but here?? nothing. i didnt even know i needed to be finding the echoes until 8ish hours into my first run. i needed my friend to read me a guide for my second. the game needs to at least give the player hints or clues. i found a workshop mod that implements saint's echo ping and both me and my friend had such a better time playing after that. that should be a default setting
its even worse for the second ending. as i mentioned, my friend had a guide pulled up and walked me through it as spoiler-free as she could. and i would have NEVER gotten it blind. this combined with the sheer number of regions (as mentioned previously, twenty three!!!) honestly ruins the game. my friend almost gave up on the whole DLC because of it. i know they plan to start patching things in, and their first action should be implementing better guidance
also i didnt even know you could go through ripples at top karma?? or that you could warp without a karma flower (with consequences)??? the game just. didnt tell me. which i feel like it should because those are both Pretty Big Things
i do think that the gameplay loop could be genuinely fun with actual assistance. because i actually had fun finding the echoes after i got that mod.
and now, onto the ending specific spoilers, starting with the echo ending
WE GET TO ACTUALLY FUCKING SEE ANCIENTS????? LIKE WALKNG AROUND AND SHIT????? IM SO INSANE ABOUT THAT
the storyline of helping an echo detach themself from their wordly desires and move on is so sweet. but i did NOT know that was the story until the last region. it almost made the ending feel unearned. it felt a little shoehorned in tbh. but also like. i dont care WE SAW ANCIENTS WAHHHHH
also hey we watch an echo ascend. neat. i do have a theory that an echo can ascend (or at least move on) if their attachment to whatever desire binds them is destroyed (Four Needles disappearing after their body no longer exists at all) and can move around space and time in accordance to their desires (Rhinestones choosing to come to Undergrowth to appreciate the life thriving there) so. hell yeah more echo lore i LOVE echo lore
but you know what i love more than echoes. the rot
the second ending. is peak i fear. not only is the campaign progression significantly better and more impactful than the echo story, but the ENDING. OH LORD THE ENDING. again, i am The Rot Enjoyer so i was going INSANE at the whole world getting fucky. and dont even get me STARTED on the rotted base game regions. i could go on for hours about how genuinely fucking cool the rotted regions are.
and everything surrounding The Throne and the roterator (The Prince??) (me and my friends nicknamed them "Yapper") is insane. the rot gaining sentience???? and having a pure and genuine trust in their beliefs???????? holy moly. fun fact if you hit them with a spear they get happy that youre playing with them <3
i cant even put my thoughts of this ending into words because its just So Insane (also i experienced it like. an hour before writing this so my brain is still reeling) but my theory currently is that every single strand of the cycle will eventually fall to rot (as the echo says that "it all ends up like this" if you wrongwarp to a rotted region) and that we simply witnessed and assisted in the end of one of these strands. theres. more to that theory but i just Cannot words it yet. ill probably make a seperate post about it soon
overall, The Watcher is an inherintly flawed product that i hope gets fixed up and improved soon, because i did genuinely enjoy it and want more people to. outside of the region bloat and lack of any direction, the game is genuinely peak, but those two things really do just kill it unfortunately. it is deserving of its mixed reviews on steam, but i do hope to see that shift more positively as the rest of the planned content is added and QOL changes are made.

One thing I don't see talked about is the scene in ep. 3 season 2 when Aziraphale and Crowley are talking to the doctor, and how the doctor is describing how the malignant tumor Aziraphale was holding came from a boy who died. And clearly this entire episode is a pivotal moment in Aziraphales development, but that particular scene is so important to me. How Aziraphale hugs the jar closer, and the look of remorse and grief on his face.

Throughout the series Aziraphales been shown to care a lot about humanity, but to me it's always been a sort of obligation thing. Like oh yeah I'm an angel it's in my job description to care about you weirdos. And it's been shown that Aziraphale clearly cares about human history and achievements and all that, or else he wouldn't have tried half as much to save the world. But up until this point it's always felt a bit impersonal. During the flood, he doesn't fret as much over the humans as Crowley does. I'm sure he was concerned and felt sorry for them, but he doesn't really know what to say about it, because its Gods will. At the time, God's will triumphed over everything, even his love for humanity. Which to me is why he seems a bit cold to the poor in Edinburgh in 1827, because to him God has given them everything they need to live a good life, they simply made the wrong choices.
And that's a philosophy I feel can come off as very dismissive or apathetic, but it's clear that Aziraphale is neither of those things. He still feels bad, and genuinely tries to make a difference by giving advice to the grave robber and trying to stop her from making more poor decisions, his way of trying to help or "save" her while still adhering to God's will. ("An angel who tries to go along with Heaven as long as he can." Or something like that) But with the doctor and Crowleys clever input, his eyes are kinda opened. Or at least he realizes some stuff. And at that moment, when he's holding the jar, I feel like he's kind of realizing that that was a real, human life. Not just a tumor, or some illegal deal, or a hunk of flesh. That tumor had been part of a very alive little boy with all of the potential to be good, just for that to taken away by a very mortal thing. And with that I think he starts to understand a little more the helplessness that comes with being human, and the bad things that are sometimes necessary to preserve what is good. (the research using stolen bodies/organs)
While yes technically God did give people all they need to be good, with the cards dealt just by life, you can't always just be good. For Aziraphale this is kinda where the fact that God doesn't care/not everything is under Her control is brought to light. All these realizations that have been developing for a while coming to a head in this one moment is why I think we see Aziraphale be so sympathetic and caring over the jar, ex: pulling it closer to his chest and zoning out of the conversation for a sec. Also the natural care of being an angel.

I got an idea
You see I was scrolling through tiktok when I saw a tiktok slideshow of you+me, the enemy and beating them up, the enemy being the IPC specifically the Marketing Development Department and I have read it's comments which gave me an idea
The sahsrau I have read has the characters noticing or feeling the presence of the player, a SINGLE player (well mostly the characters find out there in a game so eh details) which got me thinking
What if its a sahsrau but the characters all felt the presence of all the players (because its self aware of a game with millions and millions of players) like instead of the players being aeons or some higher being we are like the stars or some invisible thing
Anyways which means that there are several or thousands or even millions of eyes watching the different characters and making them stronger, faster and smarter
With that idea, just imagine those eyes having favorites and absolutely despising stuff and from the comments I read from the tiktok we collectively despise the Marketing Developmemt Department so just imagine the members of the IPC specifically that department absolutely pissing themselves from the heated glares of million pairs of eyes making them rethink there life choices

I don’t even ship regular SasuSaku that much, but toxic wlw SasuSaku? Absolutely.
Like, imagine they had the same homosexual tension that Sasuke has with Naruto. As an example, the second image there is my own take on that one shippuden scene where they see Sasuke again for the first time and he and Naruto have a *moment* but what if it was sakura getting her highly homoerotic moment?
Like I’m thinking from the start the dynamic is COMPLETELY different. Sakura would be socialized to see Sasuke (the most conventionally attractive according to canon) as competition, but then she’d see the darkness in her and get the urge to take care of her like a lost kitten and UGHHHH
And Sasuke would be locked in with revenge she would just see Sakura as an immature annoyance. She doesn’t engage with the “rivalry” she fully believes she’s better. But she’s also secretly insanely jealous because Sakura is everything that was taken from Sasuke (bright, innocent, like a spring breeze, has friends and parents…) so she tries to fully ignore her. Like, will NOT acknowledge her existence. And Sakura whenever she tries to extend the olive branch will get lethal cold shoulder, so she just stops trying and gets even pettier.
All the while they’re developing feelings for each other. Sakura wonders why it hurst so much to see her #1 op walking into the the abandoned compound alone.. Sasuke wonders why her heart squeezes when Sakura laughs, she thinks it must be due to hatred but no bb girl you’re just gay.

When they get put on a team together Sasuke can’t avoid Sakura anymore so she switches it up and becomes bratty. LOVES getting a rise out of her (totally not because she finds it cute when she gets all red up and her cheeks puff up nonono) and Sakura takes the bait EVERY. TIME.
Sakura struggles to get along with Sasuke the whole time. Sasuke constantly teases her about being a “deadweight” paper ninja (never calls her weak tho) and it really gets to Sakura. They used to be evenly matched at the academy (in terms of academics) but now she’s suddenly so far behind. She sees Sasuke kicking ass and she burns. To her, Sasuke is everything she is not, and can never be.
But like every time plot would happen they’d always have each other’s backs. They both trust each other and rely on each other and they know so so much about one another from CONSTANTLY watching each other (Sakura seeing Sasuke as her goal, Sasuke seeing Sakura as the ghost of what could have been :( )
They eventually do become friends. Sakura still wants save Sasuke from herself and Sasuke almost wants to let her.
And when Sasuke leaves Sakura is DEVESTATED. Sees it as a personal failing that she wasn’t strong enough to get her back. (Cue training montage)
And in shippuden Sasuke would still tease Sakura and they would fall back into their banter and UGHH
They are NOT good together and it IS a disaster but that’s what makes it so fun <3
I love SakuIno as well, but they already resolved their issues. I need girlfriends that TRY TO KILL EACHOTHER in a gay way <33

chainsaw man asa and denji parallels woah
I as a certified chainsaw man fangirl have of course hyper analyzed it to my close friends an incredible amount and have impulsively decided to let tumblr hear my rants as well (I’m incredibly tired and will not be rereading even a lick of what I write so I apologize for typos)
However I absolutely adore the parallels that fujimoto has made between asa and denji they’re both people who while growing up and until current have mostly been alone and have lost the only people and or creatures they had to accompany them such as asa with her cat and denji with pochita however the way they handle everything and go is so interesting from how pochita wishes to benefit and help denji achieve his ever changing dreams to yoru and her selfish desires and seemingly using asa to achieve said dreams while remaining rather vague on whether she truly feels for asa or is playing a gigantic game of pretend
denji as everything has gone though has suffered and gone through so much and because of this because of how asa relates to him to how I believe she sees herself in him she decides that she wants to “save” denji no matter what but unbeknownst to her she’s really acting against what he wants as he wants to be chainsaw man while she attempts to save him by relinquishing him of his duty as chainsaw man but the biggest thing I adore is how I believe that a big reason asa wants to “save” denji is because of the fact of how they parallel and relate and by her saving him she may in fact could be saving a part of herself because she too wants to be saved they’re just two lonely hurt people trying to get by and the poor sillies deserve a break 😭

Anyways as I wanted to say I feel like rezero has such an accurate representation of loneliness that really resonated with me with such as how Subaru can’t really express to anyone what he’s going through leading to him feeling isolated and alone even when he’s surrounded by others and him being forced to feel like he’s dealing with everything on his own and how the entire world is on his shoulders alone.Not only this but characters such as rem (I love her <3) show how important it is to have someone there for you as even when Subaru can’t exactly tell her the specifics of what’s going on she is still by his side supporting him and even in our day to day life we all really need someone like that. Overall I could yap so so sooo much more about this but I just wanted to express how well I feel like rbd and Subarus entire character arc and everything really can like mirror how loneliness truly feels for a lot of people :>
I’d also like to mentions the Pinterest pins I keep seeing that say “Marauders fan when you express your opinions” or “The Marauder fandom when you have a hc that doesn’t match theirs”
And then their headcanons are all the same: everyone is straight. Their OTP is Jily, and I’m NOT dogging on Jily, it’s an adorable ship, but they make it like every other straight ship in existence. Simultaneously, these are the same ppl replying to comments on their pins that say “why? /gen” and the reply is always a variation of “honestly I hate wolfstar like it’s such a dumb ship”

Before I say anything else, I want to preface this by saying that everyone can have their ideas and headcanons about characters, you do you. So what I think we need to talk about is things like this:
“Omg no, the Marauders are definetly all straight, wydm??” “In canon they’re all cishet, can we keep that?” “Why is every single character some form of gay?”
In canon, little is known about them, but that’s not my point. This fandom is made up by 90% queer people that are making representation for themselves in media, because in said media, most of the “representation” is just one stereotypical queer person so the production team can claim they’re not homophobic. So when you take representation made by queer people for queer people and start packing it back into the same cishet boxes in was in before, you’re taking something that wasn’t made for you, and altering it to fit in a way you like. This sub-fandom wasn’t made by queer people so that straight people could take it and rewire it to fit them. Some *specific* instances of this are asexual Evan Rosier, trans Regulus Black, pansexual James Potter, and aroace Peter Pettigrew. While I’m not sure if this was representation some in this fandom made for themselves or others, it’s still important. What I’m really trying to say (it’s 12:36 at night, please) is that this fandom wasn’t made for straight people.
Marlene McKinnon isn’t headcanoned to be a lesbian so a weird uncle named Fred could fetishize her, she’s headcanoned to be a lesbian so that a 14 year old girl could see a character like her and feel seen. Sirius Black is not headcanoned to be gay/bi so a lonely wine mom could sexualize him. He’s headcanoned to be gay/bi so that a teenaged boy doesn’t feel so weird anymore.
Again, it’s okay to headcanon whoever to want to be this that or the other, that’s not what I’m addressing. It’s making everyone the same carbon copies of straight, white, and cis.

OBSESSED with a reader who is so stupidly oblivious you wanna strangle them. With someone trying to hit on them, be it shy and subtle or loud and extravagant, and they just don't get it. Something else they don't get. Why the other character gets so flustered when they so easily hum 'Mm, that's nice, darlin' or 'thanks, love'.
PLEASE. More characters who use nicknames like it's people's proper names. Who is an idiot when it comes to love, not in a soft submissive way, but in a way that they just love so much the have trouble discerning the lines of romantic and platonic.
So stereotypical man knows how to fix stuff, yeah? Like, helping if the washing machine broke or the toilet or the sink has a leaky pipe.

I think it'd make a cute drabble with Daryl x Reader where maybe one of the group [Alexandria era] is talking about how a pipe in their house is leaking and they all sorta maybe kinda glance at Daryl because he seems to know how to do a lot of stuff. And he just clams up awkwardly, before Reader mentions they know how to fix stuff like that and offer to do it for them.
And ofc later when Reader's fixing it, Daryl's watching as they narrate what they're doing.

Had this idea for a while now-
Reader joining the group in season 1 or 2, and yeah everything's okay and stuff but they like. Do not trust Rick. At all. Not because he's a bad person or anything personal, but he's a cop. And they carry really bad experiences with officers/enforcers of law. And Daryl just gets that, yk. Trauma bond n stuff. Like maybe they have a shared experience trying to call the cops for help but it only made their situation worse.
Sighing because I wanna write for a different fandom but I'd hate to accidentally mischaracterize a character even though I know people don't care but. Like. 😔 I dunno what if I say someone likes the colour blue only to later find out they have a horrible trauma response from blue. Dude. Don't even joke because I just have such ass luck like that.
Daryl with a partner who gets depressive episodes but not like crying all the time or laying around they just go silent. And like. Everyone's concerned because what do you mean you went quiet? No no no, the excitable guy over there? You've got the wrong person.
Still going on runs and pulling their weight where they stay, but just. Silent. Lingering a bit too much.
And Daryl doesn't know really what to do with it. He can barely healthily deal with his own emotions, comforting someone else is a big bite to chew. But he still tries. Maybe just staying with them. Nudging them with a water canister or some spare food to make sure they're eating and drinking, even if they're too zoned out to realize they're doing it. Staying by them, a mutual dampened air that's bittersweet and tainted with unspoken complications. But it's better, not being alone. It helps.
