One of my biggest fandom pet peeves is in (scully) abduction arc fics when people say how long she gone and its wrong. She was canonically missing for four weeks. 1 month. Not 3 or 5 or whatever else. Its said multiple times and it on the wiki and tbh im not sure why this pisses me off so bad sorry guys i had to let that out

Chapter 7 of A Muse, A Myth, A Mortal is up!!

“Wow Scully,” Mulder said as he sat down, “Remind me what year you graduated from Oxford Psychology?” He asked sarcastically.

“Nineteen Eighty Four,” Scully responded dryly. “I wasn’t trying to steal your thunder Mulder, I’m just saying our investigation here shouldn’t be about magic because magic isn’t real.” Mulder gave her a sly look and she could only guess at what he would say next.

“Wrong! I graduated in nineteen eighty six. I’m insulted that you think I’m thirty two,” he said with a sarcastic smile, “You’re just scared.”

Somtimes I think about how Scully and Mulder could’ve just stopped talking. Because the thing that connects them is work. They are more than coworkers, they are true friends and have all the kinds of chemistry but they are connected through work. It’s their excuse. Both of them are so deep in self denial about their feelings but they have an excuse to keep seeing each other “because of work”. They totally just could’ve stopped after the x files was shut down the first time and theres a world where that might’ve happened- and I know your saying that the quest for the truth and their bond keeps them together and you’re right BUT theres a world where it doesn’t. They could’ve been each other’s one that got away. That makes me sad to think about.

Before i watched fight the future i saw some spoilers, just vague things like “hallway scene” and “Antarctica” and “that fucking bee” I said to myself “surely, SURELY, its not that deep.” IT IS THAT DEEP. I rented this movie and i watched it over two days, and it lived rent free in my head forever. If my friends ever ask why I’m so into the xfiles (because im totally normal about my interests all the time) I show them the hallway scene. When it ended one if my friends goes “why do I feel like I just watched them have sex?” BECAUSE THEY BASICALLY DID, THEY EMOTIONALLY HAD SEX. That’s a canonical kiss to me because they totally would’ve if not for an outside intervention. Also also also the Antarctica escape scene. I am a SUCKER for the night in shining armor trope and the way she said something like “gotcha” after he gave her cpr sent me

So yeah, it is that deep and I will probably be buying that movie so i can watch it whenever i want cuz pirating websites are sucky

Can you guys imagine season 4 or 5 Mulder and Scully watching Buffy the vampire slayer? It came out in 1997 and I’m doing a rewatch of Buffy right now and all I can think is that it is right up Mulder’s alley and that Scully would love Willow. It might’ve been a comfort show for them especially during cancer arc. Maybe Scully has a particularly bad headache and Mulder insists he takes her home. He closes all the blinds for her and turns the tv on low while they sit on the coach together because she insists she doesn’t need to go to bed and slowly, as the headache ebbs, Scully and Mulder end up tucked together on the couch. They’re spooning like little baby cats and then the first episode of Buffy comes on and they just get sucked in. Mulder calls her when he sees the next episode is on and invites her over and it because a ritual for them.

I think I’m too far into the xfiles, today a kid in one of my classes said “whys it so dark in here” and my teacher said “because the lights arent on” and i texted my friend that a student and teacher at my school just quoted s2e10 of the xfiles when Melissa Scully goes to Mulders apartment while hes waiting to kill the people who hurt scully

Just saw a gif from Beyond The Sea and then i remembered that when i first watched that episode i was so obsessed with the scene where Scully absolutely loses her shit i memorized it by accident and also recorded it on my phone and saved it to my camera roll

In a moment, Mulder was by her side, crouching next to the chair. “Scully, what’s wrong, do we need to go to the hospital?” Scully shook her head with a smile, tears brimming in her eyes, though she was not entirely sure of their origin. She reached for Mulder’s hand. She put it on her belly and covered it with her own where her bump was still yet to show, or maybe barely there. They waited like that a few moments before she felt it again and this time Mulder gasped. “Is that-” Scully nodded, “Is that normal?”

Okay so after kind of a long break cuz i felt like i burned through most of season 8 waiting for Mulder to get back i just started watching s08e19 Alone. Here are my thoughts

Aaaaahhhhh i love Dogget he’s grown on me so much. He and Scully actually care about each other as friends

Mulder taking an active role in Scully’s pregnancy after being justifiably distant since he’d been returned makes me melt

“Agent doggets a big boy, he can tale care of himself. You have to worry about the little boy. Little girl? Little boy? Or little girl?” AH BARK BARK

No dogget’s spent too much time with Scully he’s touching unidentified goup with his bare hands

Dad!skinner telling Scully she’s not aloud into the office. Skinner acting like Mulder and Scully are the two children he never wanted but begrudgingly loves anyway is my everything

Scully you should mot be autopsying that body and everyone knows it except for you apparently and btw put a goddamn mask on

Mulder is concerned about his son and his wife, partner (girl?) friend more than any x-file

When tf was it confirmed that the baby is mulder’s?

I was so distracted by Mulder and Scully I forgot 8 was supposed to be worried about Dogget what’s going on
