We’re actually seeing Zane, Nya, and Lloyd’s biggest fears about themselves come true (remember that museum mirror scene?).
Zane becoming full machine though temporarily.
Nya becoming an ordinary person.
And if all goes according to fan theories, Lloyd becoming like his father, an oni.
