Today I was watching a transgender person use the bathroom and there was a MOID eating a burger, I couldn't stop thinking about her penis! And I was called a bitch!! Yes, I am a proud terf!

shaving being seen as a neccessity for womyn is never not gonna be weird and borderline pedophillic to me. with very few exceptions, everyone grows body hair as they go through puberty at maybe 10 years old. why else would society want womyn to shave if not to make her look like a pre-pubescent child? why would people (MEN) be disgusted enough to feel the need to make rude comments to non-shaving womyn that they dont even know if it wasnt because they were so used to seeing childlike, hairless womyn everywhere? men who need their partner to be hairless to feel attracted to them would 100% go for a child if it wasnt illegal. disgusting.

Don't let others discredit you because of your age! However, don't feel pressured to have the same ideas forever. Keep questioning things, keep thinking critically, and if you change your mind then don't beat yourself up obmver "having been young" or whatnot. Doing all of these things is what led me to becoming a radfem and gender critical and I now feel that I have a lot less cognitive dissonance lol

Also, please remember to take breaks from radblr, since it can be a lot especially for all of us on the younger side.

I wonder if women who identify as men see males as the "basic, default person" in a way. TIFs dysphoria sometimes begins with discomfort toward their breasts because they've been sexualized, or the trauma inherent in puberty and getting their period, or the expectation to wear makeup or objectifying clothing - and then they think, "Well, men don't have breasts or periods. They don't have to wear makeup or clothes like that."

I wonder if it's less about truly "feeling like a male" and more about seeing the male as the standard person who does not have all these additional problems and expectations and identifying with that.

you’ve probably already found out about Andrea Dworkin by osmosis by now. I would also heed caution given your age and the topics she covers. You should always put your comfort above exposing yourself to information that may be harmful.

not necessarily feminist lit but the dance of anger by Harriet Lerner is a useful book on women’s anger and how to approach relationships (of all sorts). I found it useful both in a feminist context and in my personal life though.

Just wanted to say the fact that you’re learning about radical feminism at your age is incredible. There will be many things in life that make it seem like giving in to adhering to the patriarchy or dating men is safer or easier, but you know reality. Stay fast in your belief and try to share it with other girls around you, it will help and it’s important. Most of all do what you love, especially at your age it’s easy to get bogged down by these harrowing statistics and headlines. Take time away from social media to just be.

the girls at my school have to word their period cramps as 'stomach pain', otherwise they cant lay down in the nurse/get sent home because 'cramps arent a reason to miss class!'

the ONLY difference is that we are womyn. all the sudden our pain isnt real pain, just because men cant relate to this. the second our pain stems from us being female, we cant take a break because these establishments see female pain as secondary to male pain.

i could be having debilitating cramps, but a boy with a stomachache would be prioritized over me because womyn are expected to just take their pain as the normal to not disturb men.

I'm so sorry you have to grow up in a world like this.

if we keep fighting, we can change it for the better :)
