Our merch store is reopened for the first time in over a year!
We've got some very limited Kickstarter leftovers, and some also-kinda-limited new things - an XL desk mat and a set of 5012 keychains! ⤵ļø
Our store is in Australian Dollars! Please convert that to see how much items/shipping are in your own currency.
If you're not from Australia, please keep in mind that international shipping (i.e to the US and EU) can be pricey. The desk mat in particular is nearly a kilogram itself.
Happy birthday Ais! (Someone please animate Vere falling down the stairs)
"Don't look at me like that. You'll make me wanna unwrap my gift early."
Happy Birthday Ais! ā¤ļøāš„
According to the anonymous source who gave us this sketch, it fell out of Vere's sketchbook one day when the fox fantastically tumbled down the stairs of the Senobium.
Ominous red light? Heck yeah!
With a wide selection of different times of day, MCās room is a new location sure to get a lot of screentimešÆļøWho guessed this background right?
Beach day with the boys! (and my oc) @redspringstudio

A thing I drew some time ago that I completely forgot to post, so I'm doing it now, before we move on from Halloween for good-
Literally my husband. I couldnāt believe that me teasing him so much while also showing him I do care had me fall head over heels
i love you mister casper adatewithdeath
It's November 14th, which means it's been one year since Where Winter Crows Go's full-game came out!
All I can say is that I'm very grateful to everyone who's played this game, left a nice comment and/or review, or even supported me by buying it.
Your support motivates me every day and makes me think that my dream of being a full-time gamedev may not be so farfetched after all.
Thank you so much!!

Some misc indie game fanarts.
I didn't mean to burn away as much of the Rachel Amber art, but the gas cooktop thought different.
At the time I'd played none of these games, but I thoroughly enjoyed playthroughs of them
In just 14 short hours, A Date with Death will launch on Steam and Itchio!
In A Date with Death, you play a custom MC who has unknowingly been avoiding your death⦠and the Grim Reaper isn't happy about that.
He also happens to be kinda babygirl.

Thereās been some pretty great indie games brewing this year.Ā This weekās Indie Game Spotlight, Potionomics, is one ofĀ āem. This RPG shop simulator lets you play as Sylvia, a young witch who must pay off an inherited debt by making and selling potions. Potionomics challenges players to survive the rigors of business ownership by mastering the art of crafting, reaching goals to upgrade their shop, and navigating relationships with customers, partners, and competitorsā¦all while exploring a shifting, responsive market economy built around magic and monsters. Monsters? In this economy? You bet.
We spoke with a few of the people behind the gameāAryo Jati Darmawan (leadĀ developer) and Jarann Pan (marketing, production, and sometimes art!)āto give all of you a little inside scoop on what may very well be your new favorite game come its release day.
Jati: The primary inspiration for everything and anything in Potionomics comes from my experiences playing RPGs growing up. As much as I love them, fantasy RPGs (especially in the west) tend to feature the same types of heroes and premises over and over, which is an absolute shame because there are so many other interesting characters in these worlds. The barkeep of a thieves guild, the janitor who has to clean up the mess after a world-shattering ending scenario, the veterinarian for all the fantastical creaturesā¦Wondering about their stories inspired me to make a game from a vendorās point of view.
Jati: It was really just a by-product of the people around me. I went to Ringling College of Art and Design, which plopped me into an environment full of amazing animators. When I started bringing devs onto the team, most of them were friends I knew from Ringling, so I just played to their strengths!
I wish I could say that I had a game plan all along, but it was mostly serendipity.
Jarann: Weāre extremely lucky to have so many talented people making Potionomics. Shout out to Hope Lee, our brilliant concept artist, who designed most of the art for the game! Unfortunately, she doesnāt have a social media presence, but her work is on display all over our Tumblr and website.
Jati: The dev team is in full agreement concerning what Owlās avian self looks like, but we have a lot of competing ideas over what his human version would look like. Some of us are sure heād be a devilish rogue in his 30s, others see him as a Merlin-like figure, age 80+. I donāt think there will be a consensus anytime soon.
Jarann: I designed the initial concept art and character idea for Luna, the gameās moth-girl marketing maven. Our goal when designing most of our characters is to try to make them feel like real and relatable peopleāso I gave her a lot of traits I related to. However, I got carried away, and at some point, I awkwardly realized that Iād accidentally made a self-insert character! Since then the character has moved away from my own personality, but my friends still tease me about it.
Jarann: I think Sylviaās struggles are somewhat inspired by our own experiences coming out of college. She finally has her degree that sheās worked so hard to get and thinks everything will be a cakewalk after this. However, reality proves to be quite different!
Jati: A potion that makes me invulnerable to whatever tear-gas curse onions cast on you when you cut them.
Jarann: A Talk to Animals potion! I spend so much time trying to figure out what my dog is saying to me.
Need a potion to learn more? Look no further, we heard simply visiting @potionomicsgame will lead to a magical portal to learn more.Ā Potionomics is still in development but will be available on PC!
I made a game called SuperQuest!
It's a comedy-focused turn based RPG that you can buy now on steam.

Making this post for the AlBalawi Family @yasminalbalawiigaza @bisanalbalawi18 who I have been dmāing and emailing for a couple of weeks now!
They have started a NEW GFM with a smaller goal for immediate survival funds, but I have not seen it shared here. They also received the additional displacement orders š, which they shared about in their original GFM here.
PLEASE consider the conversion rate/fees! For example: I sent $5/USD, it converted to like, $3/USD. And thatās not even considering any instant transfer fees.
And they are also a part of Gaza Champions on IG. Their new GFM was set up by their Champion pen-pal who is helping them with fund transferring.
I have been working on creating a raffle art-raising on my non-game dev side of things, but I have fallen sick š, and canāt move as fast. But Iām still working on it! Iāll share it once itās done.
@āing people for reach!

A game Iāll definitely-at-one-point-sometime get around playing was trending on my side of tumblr! :D Game dev is @insertdisc5!
For artists and creatives that are indie game lovers, itās always awesome to meet new artists and developers! Iāve found fellow artists and game devs by doing game jams (essentially, quick concept / prototype games traditionally made between 72 hours) since I first started making indie game.
I do all my game jams through itch.io, but there can also be in your local indie dev scene and other online platforms.
Game jams are also a great way to test how you work with others, problem solve, and lean how to communicate yourself. Builds confidence too!
I am being so serious when I say: if you have the financial and time privilege to get a group of friends together and make an indie project, PLEASE do. Indie games, indie animations, indie comics etc etc
the art industries are kind of in the shitter. Itās not so much because of AI (though that doesnāt help) but because studios just arenāt hiring people and funding projects anymore. People whoāve been in the industry for decades are finding themselves struggling, and once you have a mortgage or kids itās harder to do something as risky as making something on your own.
completing projects is hard. it takes a lot of time and effort, and most people canāt afford it. so if you CAN afford to make art, even at the risk of no financial gain, I strongly encourage you to be as resilient as you can. Weāre at a point where these industries are not going to turn around by themselves, and waiting for jobs to open up again in order to get experience and portfolio work might not be realistic.
people have been making art and telling stories longgggg before we were getting paid for it, and people arenāt going to stop just because no one has hired them to do so.
for everyone else: support indie artists when you can!!!! That person who made that cool indie game or youtube animation or webcomic might be doing this full time! your support might be the only reason theyāre able to keep doing it.
and if you have already started an indie project: youāre so brave and Iām very proud of you!!! in fact, drop a link to it in the reblogs if you want! š
a lot of things changed, if you missed it! new engine, new UI, all sorts of new stuff! come get it
any yāall wanna see a game bout a sheep herder/shepherdess/will-research-proper-terminolgy, protecting her sheep from aā¦werewolf? Iām thinking in gay thoughts (per usual) and wanna write up an idea š
I made the game āWatermelon Matchā within 48 hours after hearing about the Global Strike for Ceasefire for Palestine on December 11th, 2023. My pixel art and game design may be lacking, but I hope that this is a small reminder to keep going for the people in Palestine and Gaza. š

Iām no tumblr historianā¦but when has a game engine ever been trending on this app??
I'm not really on Tumblr (or social media consistently, lol) but here's a lil look into my indie game, Strawberry's Flowers!
It's gonna be very short and sweet as I'm just trying to learn some new things in pixel art and in my game dev workflows.
[Video Description: Video of a person filming their screen of a pixel art animation of a small cow-like character with brown fur and a heart-shaped white spot on her forehead, is moving on a screen next to a floating strawberry. The caption reads "Here's Strawberry next to a floating strawberry in my top-down pixel art game, while I try to ignore scope creep." The TikTok account handle is at bloomzeyestudio. End description]
I had a lot of fun figuring out how these lil' critters would look and animate in my latest game jam!
Our game is called Hopper's Bugs, and it's free to play on itch io!
Meet Leafette! They are the main character for my itch io Devtober game jam entry (currently) titled, Foliage Conversations. You can read more about Leafette on my blog, here!
Leafette is a resident of Foliage Falls, a cozy little town known for its beautiful lakes and rivers.
Although well-known by the locals, Leafette can be a bit shy around new people. And with a love for books, they are a familiar face at the local book store, the Cozy Reader.
[Image Description: On the left is a pen sketch of a character with a leaf for a head and a human body wearing a sweater and ripped jeans. On the right against a light brown background, is the pixel art drawing of the same character with a brown colored, leaf for a head. They are wearing red earrings with a dark green knit sweater that has light green patches on the shoulders, cuffs, hemline, and collar. They are wearing blue jeans with heart-shaped patches at the knees and red shoes. ENDĀ ID]
