December 31, 2024 Acrylic on canvas
Finally finished this painting!! Hey, got it done before 2025 at the very least π
Only took about 30 minutes to finish it up because it was just cleanup and painting the edges.
Moniker for this painting went from "coloured puke" to "seven" because when asking my family what the meaning behind this painting was we realized that there are seven characters here, which could be indicative of the seven deadly sins. Ofc that was unintentional, but was a cool coincidence.
Non-unanimously, the sins were identified as:
Pride - Green / ???
Wrath - Orange
Lust - Red
Gluttony - Yellow
Envy - Green / Pink
Greed - ???
Sloth - Purple
The blue guy didn't really fit any of them π
I asked my family what they thought the meaning of this one because they'd incessantly bugged me about what the meaning behind another painting I was working on was.
Still need to varnish it, but I'll get to that later
September 14 - December 31, 2024
Programs used:
IbispaintX - Drawing
Krita - Minor drawing edits and timing
Openshot Video Editor - Exporting/cropping
Finished animation meme based on these thumbnail sketches.
Decided to do it in ibispaint to test out their animation thing (I usually use krita to do everything related to animation). it's good until timing comes into play. Def gonna use it if I ever make random gifs
This still took a long time to make (I'm slow, okay), but the repetitiveness helped a lot in cutting down the work.
Tried to export using krita but the sequence after all the glitch effects would export improperly, so I had to insert it all into openshot video editor and then the exporting worked better (it was a struggle). There's some timing issues I feel but not so bad that I can't live with it.
**I'm in the process of redoing it so that it's a perfect loop and the timing's a bit better, just posting it now because it's holding up the rest of the line
December 25 - 26, 2024 Acrylic on Canvas
This painting has an actual name, but I'm sticking with the moniker " 'W' Painting" (as dubbed by my family/friends because there's a W sticker on the top left corner) until I actually finish it.
Painting I frantically did because I was having a Terrible Time and when that happens you paint little guys having a Terrible Time.
Wanted to finish this before I moved over the spring/summer for coop but just didn't have the time for it, so it won't get done until 2025 fall the earliest.
I look at this and realise there's Anatomy Problems / a fundamental difference in the flow/positioning of the characters between the initial sketch and where I'm at now. There's no turning back now, and I'm still happy with what I have, still. Just have to figure out that damned arm when I go to finish this. But it's also a fun loose painting, anatomy doesn't have to be flawless (call me a part of the 'it's my style' club π). Pro tip when drawing characters interacting --uhh refine the sketch before rendering π€ ππππππ

Once again reviving jeremy for these cookie decorating events
Did this with two of my friends. Was a cute little gingerbread decorating contest for our program at uni. We didn't end up winning,, they didn't fw jeremy π
Mannn I lost the screenshot of the description we gave him in our submission it was fire π’
November 27, 2025 Thread on Felt
Did this during plushie making event that my uni's art club hosted. The event itself was a mess, ngl. There were way more participants than expected, so the distribution of materials was slow, unorganized, and a large number of people were left with nothing. Plus they decided to start handing out materials to the people who came in last rather than the people who had been waiting the longest. Which was obviously a problem
It's really just a cockatiel plush, but because of limited colours (and it's the easiest colouration of a tiel to do anyways) it's more specifically a lutino cockatiel plush. Hence 'onyx' plush, because onyx is my lutino tiel :)
I meant to finish it over the winter break but I couldn't find my mother's sewing kit and then I forgot about it. One day i'll finish it and then let onyx destroy it
November 26, 2024 Icing + Candy on Sugarcookie
Brought back jeremy as the theme for decorating my sugar cookie at a free food event. The house was decorated from my friend, we decided that it's jeremy's house.
At this point jeremy is a whole damned oc
November 5, 2024
The fated day finally came!! Definitely was a stressful time. I made stands for the sticker promo board and the board I hung the posters on at the makerspace earlier in the day. Me and my friend also made cute little fandom labels for the stickers.
I invited quite a few of my friends to come hang out during this debacle. It was a blessing and a curse. One of my friends in particular kept on pissing me off by constantly nagging me abt how "increase profits." Actually got pissed off to such a high degree but I digress.
Anyways, the event was really cute. There were a LOT of vendors. Hot damn, was the room crowded. A lot of them were also seasoned vendors which was pretty crazy. I wish I had gone around and been more friendly to them, but I see why I didn't this event had me exhausted before it even began.
I ended up setting the pricing as: 3$ for one large sticker, 5$ for two large stickers, $1 for one small sticker, and $15 for one poster.
-
Things I learned:
Less clutter! The table was really overwhelming and I'd like space to put my laptop for excel tracking xP
Actually have people follow my art account for receiving my stamp for the stamp rally
Just chillll, have a good timee. It'll be a lot easier when I do it again because 90% of the work will already be done, but I still need to remember that this is for the fun sillies and that I don't need to focus on numbers at all.
-
According to my Excel sheet (which definitely is not 100% accurate because I forsure missed a few things), the data is as follows:
58 Stickers Sold
0 Posters Sold
Cost: 141.35
Revenue: 118
Profit: -23.35
Note: the cost includes sticker paper/some supplies that I didn't actually use, but because it was related I included it. Also, the vinyl was apparently 50$ which I swear it wasn't- never in my right mind would I buy that. Still put it in as 50$ because whtvr.
The most popular sticker designs were: The Knight (13), Coraline (7), and Grimm (6).
**Some of them were traded for other stickers / not exactly sold**
0 posters sold?? Yepppp. I think it's less of a pricing problem, but more of a people just weren't interested in the fandoms. I would've sold them for any amount of money tbh, but noone seemed interested. Plus, I tried to do a poster trade with someone and they declined because they weren't familiar with any of the fandoms. I mean I didn't know the fandoms their posters were about either, but ig a lot of people aren't interested in posters purely for the illustration π₯²π₯²
So I have a lot of posters... Teehee. I'll definitely try to sell them next year again (as I will with the leftover stickers), but I don't know if it'll make much of a difference. Hopefully, though πππ
Idk man it's strange because I genuinely look at those four pieces and am so proud that I made it. Like the craftsmanship yo. I can't tell if I'm genuinely just being delusional, but it's not like anyone close to me has given me the impression that they're actually terrible drawings either.
Ofc my own opinion is what matters most, and despite the doubt that the lack of sales for these posters has given me, it hasn't changed how much I absolutely love those pieces. Especially because the technique I used changes for each one. All of them give me a different thought of "I can't believe I made that" and takes me out of the whole 'I can immediately tell how I made that' mindset that I fall into when subconsciously trying to devalue my art/skills. I really have to think to recall the techniques I used to make each piece (O.K. maybe not the hellboy one but still), because they're all so damned complicated. Idk I love them a lot, but I will be forever a little bit bummed that other people don't love them as much as I.
November 3, 2024 Stickers + Gel pen on Cardstock
Little sign I made to promote my stickers because I was committed to going overboard for the cute little artist's alley.
There are no actual stickers here, rather I used the test prints and just glued them to the board. That way there was no/less waste.
I then doodled little things related to the game/show each batch of stickers are from around the board, plus flowers to match 'cyclamen' πΈπΊπ·

Printer Ink + Matte Vinyl on Sticker Paper
Stickers I made for Anifest. The final end to this long sticker journey!
There are 20 total designs:
Beetlejuice | Sandworm
Hellboy | Angel of Death, Hellboy
Alien | Xenomorph
Pan's Labyrinth | The Pale Man
Hollow Knight | Grimm, The Knight
Omori | Basil, Omori, Something
Arcane | Jinx
Hazbin Hotel | Alastor, Lucifer, Alastor's Minions, Husk
Hades | Zagreus
Coraline | Coraline Doll, Cocoa Beetle
The Amazing Digital Circus | Pomni, Jax, Gangle
I wanted to print the stickers on my mother's colour printer, but the colours and the black were slightly offset so I used my uni's printer service.
Applying the vinyl was tricky (messed up a few times), but once I learned the tricks it went by pretty smoothly. I did half of the vinyl application in the makerspace, and the other half at home on the 3rd.
I also wanted to use the makerspace's silhouette cutter thing to cut out the stickers, but I didn't know you had to run the paper through that machine before printing out the sticker design for it to work. Thus began the saga of cutting them out by hand.
Cutting it wasn't tooooo bad. It was just monotonous work so I could talk w people/watch something while doing it (watched Terrifier with my family while cutting most of them which worked because I don't really looking at pure gore). It did make my hand hurt like a bitch after a while, though.
I only ended up cutting like half of them anyways. My plan was to cut them by demand if needed during the artist alley.
There were quite a few defects by the end (mainly because of the vinyl, but there was a printing error for one of the sheets), and I ended up putting those stickers on my waterbottle. Me and my friend also tested their waterproof-ability by scrubbing at said stickers on my waterbottle with a soapy sponge. Needless to say the vinyl works really well!!

Printer Ink on Paper
The posters I made for Anifest! Fully realized and tangible!!
There are 4 designs:
Made in Abyss | Riko, Meinya, Reg, Nanachi, Prushka, Turbinid Dragon
Hellboy | Hellboy
Jujutsu Kaisen | Sukuna
Spirited Away | Bathhouse, No face
Did some test prints at my uni. Would've straight up just printed them there if it wasn't for the discolouration that was consistently showing up on one side of the paper.
Printed the final posters at a printing shop near my uni because I wanted them to be good quality. Printed 15 copies of each one (very funny on my part).
I really love these posters. Having my own digital art printed is really sick and I legitimately look at and appreciate my own skills whenever I look at these posters irl. I'm really happy with them and happy that I haven't come to look at them as flawed as I do with a lot of the art I make. I truly became a beast for this artist alley.

November 2 - Stamping Posters
November 2/3 - Cards
Linocutter on linoleum, Ink on paper
Stamps I made during a stamp/printmaking event at makerspace.
We needed stamps for the AAM stamp rally, and this event was hosted at the perfect time for me to make mine for the rally.
Everyone got a ~2x2" piece of linoblock to carve, but the cards for the stamp rally had slots that were ~XxX", so I cut the linoblock into pieces.
I carved a little flower to fit my flower/cyclamen motif β€οΈ and then I decided to make a little business card stamp
I printed with their actual fancy printmaking ink at the event to check that the carves were deep enough, but all the stuff afterwards was done with ink pads from michael's (they're honestly a lot easier to use, too)
My dumb ass never took good pictures of the actual stamps I made before moving 170km from them. I'll add pics once I visit home.
October 23 - November 3, 2024 Time: 6:03 IbisPaintX
Poster design I made for Anifest at my uni.
Me and a few of the other vendors joined up to organize a stamp rally, and this was one of the things we prepped for the artist alley beforehand. One of us had suggested different colour palettes, and this orange/teal one won the vote.
This was just a really cute little thing to draw. Was a good break from the other more complicated illustrations I had been working on.
The Miku design and stickers were created by by @/ciel on instagram :3

~June - July 2023 - Preliminary Sketch in Krita
October 10, 2024 - Transfer to IbisPaint
October 29-30, 2024 - Majority of the illustrating process
Time: 19:58 Krita + IbisPaintX
This has been in the works for a looong time. Making posters out of it for Anifest finally gave me the motivation to work on it. Really surprised I got it done in time, too.
I think it's so magical to be able to go back to a wip like this and actually finish it. Not everything has to stay unfinished and I like collecting my wips in the event like something like this happens. A burst of motivation years later.
Anyways, 3-point perspective (which I have little experience with) of a very complicated building with hard-to-come-by ref pics?!?!! ...Yeah, I like throwing myself into the deep end with new things (see: MIA poster).
The 3-point perspective was so damned hard. Out of the 20 hours I put into this on IbisPaintX (which doesn't include my first struggles with it in Krita), ~6h was for sketching because it was killinggg me. I also went back and forth with IbisPaint and Krita during the sketching phase because it was a REAL struggle.
(Also I downloaded the mp4 video to check the above times (the video was bugged and would freeze at ~1.5h in IbisPaint) and encoding it took over an hour π))
I just kept fucking up the perspective. Idek how because I was using the perspective tools but it kept happening (I think I was accidentally shifting them in IbisPaintX so it was ruining me) (also that's one thing that Krita is actually better at. while their process to set up the rulers is much more complicated, you can use them all simultaneously. having to switch btwn them in ibispaint was making me go crazy) especially for the curved roof bits. Those underwent a loooot of revisions.
Rendering it was really fun, spent practically all my time out of lecs to work on this before the deadline to send the poster designs off to get printed.
Actually really proud of myself for this one. I especially like the gold bits

Drawing of the Alastor redesign thing I made here. Really cranked this out like it was nothing β€οΈβ€οΈ
Continuing with the airbrush supremacy πͺπͺ, sketching using an airbrush really helps me get general forms right without getting tunnel visioned on specific details
October 9 - 25, 2024 Time: 12:43 IbisPaintX
Poster I whipped up relatively quickly for Anifest.
WWW airbrush I actually love sketching/rendering with the airbrush it's so fire. Also continued my saga of rendering in black and white and then adding colours
Sukuna is my second favourite character from jjkβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ(right behind Nobaraπ₯³π) (I'm happy on the outside screaming crying on the inside)
If I really wanted to profit off of JJK I would've made a poster of Gojo (or at least that's what was said to me, and it makes sense), but I don't really like Gojo. Idk that's the thing about free will. Quite a few instances of "if I did x it would be more profitable/popular to the general public" crossed my mind, but truly I cannot make art if it's not something that I won't really like. Profit isn't enough to motivate me.
(although it also just feels wrong to make art for that sole purpose -- same feeling of ick as when I realised I was making art for more likes in the past)
~October 22, 2024 IbisPaintX
Made a little Alastor redesign/AU that sprouted from the thought of "what if Al actually had a poker face," since canon Al like actually doesn't have one at all. It turned into "Alastor that just doesn't emote with his face/is always expressionless."
Then drew this guy with Canon and @anic-mj 's 2P! Al, since they're both very emotive in very different ways).
I have a really hard time drawing Alastor. I'm finding that I really need to stray from drawing him like viv does for me to not see it as uncanny. I'm ok with this drawing, but it still feels semi-off.
This blog functions as my chronological art archive/diary.
To keep it tidy I do not have asks open nor do I reblog others' posts.
Bug me however you like on @flowerspeakz. There you can also find a lot of my yappery and wips/random doodles of mine that aren't deserving of a formal post here.

October 20, 2024 India Ink on Paper
The last inktober drawing i ended up doing for this season π₯Ά
For the entirety of this one the pen was officially out of ink. I made do with just using it as a brush pen w my india ink.
Although, that's definitely the main reason the challenge died for me. Not having the convenience of just whipping out the pen whenever I felt like it got rid of pretty much all instances where I would typically work on these drawings, especially when art was slowly becoming something I wasn't able to prioritize nearly as much cos school π₯²
Not to mention it was really annoying,, it's just not the same as the ink flowing from within the pen π©
October 20, 2024 India Ink on Paper
Worked on this one at the same time as the rest of the batch I completed on oct 19, but didn't complete it until the day after because the brush pen I was using was running out of ink!
I tried refilling it with the india ink I had, but it didn't work. The pen definitely uses some special kind of ink to let it flow through w/o clogging.
Anyways, I ended up just dipping my pen in the ink and using it as a brush. It worked, it just wasn't the same experience :(
This drawing was fun. The unicorn ended up pretty well. Think I messed up on its body's form, though.
October 19 2024 India Ink on Paper
I really like this one. Fun to do and turned out well.
Locked in when I was inking (the 'sketch' was essentially just me drybrushing) (this goes for all of these inktober drawings tho) cos I was scared.
October 19 2024
Hey hey hey the pose here is very similar to day four's pose, but just ignore that π
Got the effect I intended. This a good example of how enjoyable using that brush pen was for this inktober. Had to strategically use the different ink saturation levels to get different effects when drawing. It was fun

In favour of keeping the actual creation date in chronological order, the prompt days are now out of order π€ ππ(I'm keeping it as consistent as I can, just that day 14 is gonna be out of place >_<)
This one turned out way bettwe than I thought it would. It's not great, I just had very very very low expectations for it.

I like this one. Think it turned out cute. Only thing I wish I did better was keep the frog and star on the left from touching, but I knew that that was a mistake when it was happening. Oh well :<
Continuation of my catching up on lost days.

Really didn't like this prompt, it just didn't speak to me in any way, and because of that (plus school in general :p) I lose my streak/drive to do it everyday.
Once again, I started the drawing, hated it, but then returned to it later and it became o.k.

Discovered the smudge tool when rendering/shading this guy. It was revolutionary
Quick thing I whipped up for a mascot design contest of one of my uni's clubs. I remember I'd seen the post for this a while back, but I wasn't sure whether or not I'd participate. I saw their last-call post on the last day they were accepting submissions and I decided I wanted to do it. Very smart of me.
Initially I wanted to make it a red panda, but I couldn't think of a good pose. I ended up going with a cat cause it's simple, cute, and the pose came easily.
Did this in one go and went straight to sleep after πͺπ΄
Hellboy | Hellboy
October 13-14, 2024 Time: 10:10
Redrew the hellboy drawing digitally. Got to clean it up (the white in the background of the og was quite smudged in places) and fix some anatomy issues.
Also, damn, the og drawing is just... a bad drawing lmao π I can't get over how wonky his face is how did I not notice that back then??? π
Shoutout to my friend who was like 'why's he so skinny' when I was in the middle of the lineart - idky i always make hb so skinny. Bulked him up after thatπ
Planning on printing these to make posters and perhaps sell at my uni's artist alley

Another one that I barely got in/almost forgot to do day-of.
Arm's a bit weird, but I like how the hand turned out. If I could go back, I would make sure the clover has a clear silhouette and doesn't overlap with the hair.
