a funny thing is if VKR ever had an English dub, technically, it could be canon because somehow, nearly every character is bilingual and speaks English in some form despite most of them being Japanese in some form.
in Kaname's case he's a polyglot because my guy is from 1100s England, and was a royal so he already knows Latin, French, and Middle English and then he travels to Japan on accident, knows both old and current Japanese, and when he speaks English he has no accent because he's spoken so many languages every single one cancels out the other so he sounds American
