It’s mostly something that resided in my brain, although I did attempt to make a lil animatic with the song Tight-Knit Family that I quickly lost steam on cause I forgot how much I hate animating. I am still in school, so my free time is limited unfortunately for such projects :(
If we’re being honest, I can’t remember where I got the idea for this au, or if I posted about it or happened to comment on someone else’s post and you saw
The overall AU puts Fidds in place of Marvin, Emma-May in place of Trina, and Tate in place of Jason. Ford acts as Whizzer, though in this au instead of being sex obsessed he’s work obsessed and keeps trying to lure Fidds back into working on the portal with the promises of sex (though like Marvin and Whizzer their relationship evolves to be healthier by act two. I can’t figure out who from GF would become the lesbians from next door…

basically, Bill is a human constantly, b U T hes immortal and has secret powers/knowledge, but its not like he was a triangle and after theraprism he went back and was a human (like some AUs ive seen and LOVE!) the whole premise is he basically is kinda shoved into the whole storyline, along with some other things. likeee:
its set mainly in new jersey when stan and ford are kids/teens for now, but i have ideas for college and forward 😈
bill is a close, almost family friend with ford and stan, and is a bit younger than them. they go on adventures together.
bill was kicked out of his house at 10, and lived with the pines till a close friend of Filbrick adopts/fosters him.
fiddleford moves to new jersey at 14, meeting and becoming great friends with ford, stan and bill.
bill is basically a crazy little demon child, but they all love him because he is sneaky and knows a lot.
fiddleford is trans, he met the pines as a girl and as they got closer he would borrow their clothes and act not very ladylike, ford has a huge crush on fiddleford, and is very oblivious to fiddlefords "tomboyishness" and just finds him smart, and a tad weird

1) he has freckles, cuz i need him to
2) hes actually not that much of a scardy cat, mainly nervous, and hes like stupid af
3) he was homeschooled untill college
4) he was big on rodeo, and was like rly good at it
5) even tho hes rly slim hes muscular, and like JACKED lol
6) i used to headcanon he was trans ftm but i dont rly like it anymore, sometimes i do just cuz i feel like it fits him, but other times i just dont feel like it lmfao 😭
7) obviously ship fiddauthor and they are cutie patootie, literally brokeback mountain
he wears a cowboy hat and boots always cuz he can
he also walks around holding his buckle
hes tanner than ford but still kinda pale
hes slightly redheaded, like strawberry dirty blonde
he does makeup in his spare time, and likes wearing long older skirts
after he goes into the portal, he erases his memory of ford all together, but sometimes when he sees certain things (stan specifically, but other things apply, like things that remind him of ford) little flashes of college come back to him, but nothing of the cabin
fidds never wanted a wife to begin with, he was just scared of what the world would think, two scientists, living alone together, with no partners (except themselves if ykwim 😏)
he worries ford lost all feelings between college and when he moves into the cabin
he sees ford a lot in Tate
i feel like him and tate would be rly close, until he goes like fully insane yk
when i do thi k hes trans, i feel like he struggles a lot with self worth, and thinks of himself less of a man if he loved ford
when bill possesses Ford, he tends to taunt Fidds, and it makes his insecurities of not being enough worse, and (i saw this in a fanfic) bill refers to him and fiddleford as "the wife and the mistress"
he is also extremely jealous of Bill, and bill would taunt him MORE with how ford loves him more, because, i mean fords made a whole room of worship for bill, not fiddleford

Ford and Fiddleford dont get together/back together in old age, but they DID date during college and broke up when they graduated(on mutual terms) then ford calls him to gravity falls, and they slowly get back into their relationship, and bill tries very hard to manipulate Ford out of his relationship, and near the part where Fiddleford gets into the portal, they are split up. Idk if this is making any sense but its my brain guys so >:) i can basically do what i want.

Fiddleford was okay with not knowing definitively whether the world was ruled by science or by scripture, but when his head went through that portal he realized what he and Stanford were doing wasn’t natural for either
the thing about fiddleford is imagine this small town farm boy. born and raised in rural tennessee, all he knows is raising pigs and slaughtering pigs and serving up pigs at the dinner table where they say grace before each and every meal. his world is so small but he knows there's something bigger out there and maybe it's god but maybe it's something else so he goes to college far away from everything he's ever known. and maybe he's the first in his family to ever do it, maybe everybody is so proud of him or more likely theyre cursing his name for abandoning the family business and going off to live some heretic pagan lifestyle. but it's okay because he's found that bigger thing and it's not god but it's this strange city boy who's so alike him in ways that he never thought possible. it's this city boy who listens to him when he spouts crackpot theories and thinks he's onto something and sits all night with him until they hack it and the feeling of being heard and seen and believed is so incredible that he didn't even realise this city boy has six fingers on each hand until theyre high fiving at some unholy hour of the morning and frankly that makes him all the more special. and maybe that's love but he pushes that down because he knows what happens to men who fall in love with other men. and then college is over and the city boy moves on to bigger and better things and suddenly he's alone again. so he moves to california and he gets married and he has a son and he KNOWS he loves them he KNOWS he does but it doesn't feel the same. so when he gets the phonecall and that feeling comes rushing back of course he says yes, of course he drops everything, of course he doesnt think twice because how else is he going to feel like that again ? and for a while everything is perfect again until it's not. until it's scary, until it's keeping him awake at night, until it's starting to feel a whole lot like a punishment from god. he had his chance to stay in tennessee, he had his chance to raise a family who he could provide for. but instead he went looking for something bigger than god, and he found it, and now he has to live with the consequences.
Headcanon that in College Ford briefly developed Scurvy, so with Fiddleford binge ate 20 something oranges before passing out in a pile of orange peel together
