Iâm watching Merlin again and it really does play out like a fanfic doesnât it. Enemies to lovers slow burn servant and master magic au. Poor kid falls in love for rich CEOâs jerk of a son and makes him a better person. Utherâs just like: yes you saved my son, to repay you you shall now be his servant. I mean, what kind of setup is that???
80% of my time is spent reading fanfic
So thanks to all writers
really exhausted. Iâm so tired.
For those who asked, here are my fics (updating as they come) focusing on the reader as a young girl in Geraltâs care. Ages & timings vary. Iâve put them in a relative order of when theyâre set.
The reader is my OC, Akela, just with the pronouns/name changed as Tumblr seems to prefer reader!fics. Her version of each story can be found here.
Sticks and Stones - After Renfriâs death, you find Geralt surrounded by a crowd of people throwing stones at him and yelling at him to die. Needless to say, you react in the only way possible. Like a witcher.
Heart of Geralt - Geralt and Jaskierâs first meeting, except with an added twist. Who knew the White Wolf liked raspberries?
The White Wolf and His Pup - Geralt finds a baby girl in the woods, and for some reason, he canât quite let her go.
Fragile - Geralt deals with a sick baby.
Like Father, Like Daughter - Geralt should have expected his childâs first word to be âfuckâ.
Raising a Wild Pup - Geralt deals with a tantrum, watches the sun set, and goes swimming. In one evening. Thatâs his superpower. He calls it fatherhood.
Eleven - For a five-year-old, political events can be boring. Thankfully, Geralt is a master at distracting you.
Fire - Itâs your birthday, and you and Geralt celebrate by playing a game.
Book - After a long day, you ask Geralt to read you a story before bed.
Drabble -Â âIâm bleeding!â
Drabble -Â âAre you mad at me?â
Drabble - âWhat the hell are you holding and why is it⊠wriggling?â
Eye of the Beholder - Geralt has a tendency to cover your eyes whenever a naked person steps into viewâas any father doesâbut this proves to be quite difficult when he first meets Yennefer.
Sex and Apologies - After the djinn causes the building to fall around Geralt and Yennefer, you believe your guardian to be dead. He is, of course, very much alive, and youâre far from happy.
First - You smile at a boy, and Geralt starts to worry.
Little Traveller - While staying at an inn, you sleepwalk, leaving a very uneasy Geralt to come and find you.
Drabble - âHear my heartbeat? Just focus on that.â
You Make Me Smile - The one thing you should never do is start a tickle fight with a witcher.
Each Other - Geralt would never have believed that heâd one day find himself braiding a teenage girlâs hair, never mind her braiding his⊠But here he is. And he isnât complaining.
Like Him - You and Geralt have an argument, and it takes a certain bard to get you to stop glaring daggers at each other and make up.
Dad - Three times Geralt called you his daughter, and the one time you called him âDadâ.
A Motherâs Touch - Geralt is great, but sometimes, all you need is a motherâs arms to wrap around you and hold you close.
To Annoy a Witcher - Three times Geralt hated the bardâs song, and the one time he didnât.
Wild Rabbit - You meet your motherâthe mother who, as the stories go, left you to the monsters in the woods. Fortunately, you were found by Geralt before they could get you, but itâs safe to say youâre not happy to see this woman⊠and neither is Geralt.
Drabble - âIâll be here when you wake up.â
Drabble - âWhereâs Roach?â
Drabble - âYou have a stick in your hair.â
Drabble - âYou know I love you.â
Drabble - âIâll always be there for you.â
Drabble - âWhat the hell are you holding and why is it⊠wriggling?â
Mud Monster - Jaskier should have known better than letting you convince him to play a prank on Geralt.
To Love and Be Loved - Geralt and Yennefer arenât exactly the most well-behaved parents when it comes to you and teenage boys.
Fishy Business - Geralt teaches you how to catch fish.
Until the End - After Geralt loses both Yennefer and Jaskier on that mountainside, youâre there to assure him that heâs not alone.
Constant - Youâre worried that, once Geralt finds Ciri, heâll stop caring for you. Geraltâs quick to put your mind at ease.
Jealousy - You meet Ciri, and you are less than happy.
Name Game -Â Geralt accidentally calls Ciri something he shouldnât have.
The Pup and the Cub - Geralt leaves you and Ciri to finally sort out your differences.
The Bard and the Barber -Â Though youâre all too happy to see Jaskier again, thereâs one thing that must go: his hair.

âTony, just stop,â you pleaded with your friend and co-worker. Your head rested in your hands as you rubbed your temples with your thumbs.
âCome on, Y/N,â Tony prodded from where he was perched on the edge of your desk. âJust one date. You and John would be perfect together.â
You leaned back in your seat, arms crossed over your chest. This had been going on for the last month. âTony, I do not need your help finding a date. I only agreed to the last two because you wouldnât leave me alone about it. If I recall correctly, you said they were perfect for me as well.â
He cleared his throat, his gaze darting down then back to you. âThey were.â
You arched a brow. âIâm actually concerned about what that means you think about me, DiNozzo. Richard was an assââ
âHe couldnât have been that bad.â
âHe hit on the waitress while I was in the restroom and slipped her his phone number. She told me before we left.â
