pssst do it. write the oceans 8 au.

Honestly I posted that idea on a whim while rewatching Ocean's 8 and I did not expect to see so many people showing interest in that AU. But the people have spoken! Now I have no other choice but to consider it. I think I will queue it up after what I'm currently working on. I'd say don't expect it until April at the earliest.

Silva's 8 and the heist to steal Adriel's crown of thorns is gonna cook in my mind for a month and we'll see what I can do with it!

Raspberry Swirl (Carol/Valkyrie fanfiction)

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from my new story, Raspberry Swirl, a CarolValkyrie story about ice cream and summer and Carol being an awkward idiot who can’t line up two words together. Link to the full story will be at the end.

The woman looked at Carol once again, surprised.

"And the blueberry one?"

"I think it's supposed to be call Bi-berry?"

Carol pulled out the cone out of the icebox. Its wrapper was red, purple and blue, imitating the bisexual flag. The woman chuckled.

"Fine, I'll take it. How much?"

"Oh... It's... on the house?"

The woman frowned in surprise.

"Really? Why?"

Carol shrugged, desperately trying to find an excuse.

"It's the end of the day..."

The woman continued to stare at Carol, trying to figure out why she was suddenly giving her a free cone. Finally, she gave up and picked up the ice cream off the counter.

"Thanks."

"My pleasure," Carol replied with a bright smile. "Now you can tell your friend Bi-berry's the best. I mean blueberry," she added quickly.

"I know," the woman replied with a wink before she turned around and returned to her towel.

Carol watched her go, then looked away quickly when the woman looked back. Beside her, Monica continued to stare. Carol moved away, fiddling with her phone.

"So, tipping isn't flirting, but giving free ice cream definitely is, right?" the girl asked.

Carol groaned and refused to answer.

Worth It (Carol/Maria fanfiction)

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from my new story Worth It, a Carol/Maria story taking place before the Captain Marvel movie with a focus on Carol trying to be the best mom she can be :) Link to the full story at the end of the post!

The familiar sound of a car engine stopping in front of the house pulled Carol out of the show she was watching. She stood up and stretched. Her old Star Wars shirt was pulled up in the motion, and she tugged it back in place before making her way to the door. She was expecting to find a happy four-year-old on the other side, with her usual bright smile. The thought alone made Carol smile in turn, and so she opened the door eagerly.

"Hey! How was shopping? Did you..."

Her voice died down when Monica walked in with a pout. Maria was still rummaging through her car's trunk, trying to pick up the grocery bags all at once.

"We didn't find it," Monica grumbled.

Carol's smile faded, and while Monica walked past her and toward her bedroom to sulk, the blonde walked out to help Maria with the groceries.

"It didn't go as planned, I take it."

Maria sighed.

"They didn't have it and Monica didn't want anything else."

"She's just being stubborn," Carol offered as she picked up as many bags as her arms could carry. "I'm sure she'll come around."

"Yeah, I wonder who she takes after..." Maria said as she closed the trunk with her now free hand.

Carol rolled her eyes.

"You, obviously."

"Funny, that's not what I was going to say."

The couple brought the paper bags to the kitchen, dropping everything on every available surface. Carol started emptying hers and putting everything in the fridge while Maria went to take off her jacket and shoes. Carol had crumbled the empty bag into a ball when Maria joined her in the kitchen.

"Did you call your mother?" she asked almost immediately.

Carol froze for a second before pretending that she hadn't heard anything, hoping Maria would let it slide. Maria, of course, instantly noticed that Carol was avoiding her question.

"Carol?"

"Hm?"

"Did you call your mother to ask if she still had your old costume?"

Carol shrugged.

"Oh, she probably has it somewhere in the attic. My mom never threw away anything that belonged to me or my brother."

Maria closed the cupboard and turned around, her piercing dark eyes falling instantly on Carol.

"So what you're telling me is you didn't call her."

Now is the Time (For You and I to Cuddle Close Together) - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! Happy Halloween! To celebrate my favorite holiday I have posted a wolfwren one-shot. You will find an extract below and if you want to read the whole thing, the link will be at the end!

The old Sedan pulled up into the school’s parking lot and Baylan cut the engine. Shin could hear the music booming from the gymnasium already, some pop song she couldn’t stand. She kept her gaze on her lap and made no move to get out.

“Just for an hour,” Baylan said. “If you don’t like it then call me and I’ll come to pick you up in an hour. Otherwise, you can stay for as long as you want.”

Shin didn’t move. A couple of monsters walked past the car and despite their costume, she recognized them as football players. She wanted nothing to do with them, or anyone at this stupid school party anyway.

“Competitions are coming up,” she said. “I should be at home training. Sabine is…”

Baylan turned as best he could in his seat to look at her.

“You’ll train tomorrow. Today you get to be a normal teenager. I’m sure Sabine Wren takes time off training every once in a while. Now come on, get out there before I decide to humiliate you by stepping out of the car.”

Shin rolled her eyes but unbuckled her seatbelt. She opened the car door but before she could step out, Baylan called her back.

“Don’t forget your mask.”

From the backseat, he grabbed a mask and handed it to her. It was a wolf mask, gray and metallic, with a snout extending over the nose and ears at the top of the head. Shin had not chosen her costume, not really. When Baylan had told her what she wanted to be for Halloween, she had dismissingly said a wolf. Now it was coming back to bite her.

She tied the mask behind her head. She had tied her platinum hair up into a bun, uncovering the short, shaved underside. The mask’s strap sat just at the edge of the undercut and immediately began to itch.

“One hour,” she said.

“Or more. Depends how much you’re enjoying yourself.”

She rolled her eyes again and slammed the car door shut. Baylan took that as his signal to leave. He turned on the engine and drove off slowly, mindful of the other students walking through the parking lot in the direction of the gymnasium. Shin was almost tempted to stay out here for an hour, sit on a bench and wait for the time to pass. However, the night was colder than she was ready for. She wore a gray checkered shirt and her usual black trousers. Already smoke escaped her nose as she breathed. Though she would rather be anywhere but there, she hurried to the party.

A Kiss for a Gift - a Wolfwren Christmas fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! Merry Christmas! As advertised multiple times I've posted a Christmas one-shot set in my High School AU. Here is the beginning and if you want to read the whole story the link will be at the end!

The Life Day Market of Capital City was the biggest in Lothal. The whole plaza at the foot of the central tower was taken over by lights, wooden chalets and all the Life Day decorations the place could handle, green and red and gold everywhere the eye stopped. People lined up for warm drinks and hot treats. Vendors displayed jewelry and paintings and socks, the perfect gift for your family on Life Day. And Sabine had had the terrible idea of letting Hera sign her up as a volunteer, again.

All the streets leading into the plaza had been closed off except two, the entrance and the exit. A banner hung above the entrance, welcoming everyone into the market. If it wasn’t enough, however, Sabine was the extra welcome. She sat in a tiny wooden box at the corner of the entrance, too cramped up to move. She was supposed to give additional information to the people, but she wasn’t even sure what information she could give them. There was no map to the market, it was made up of two concentric circles of cabins and impossible to get lost in. The time the market opened and closed? They had a big sign near every entrance for that. People walked by her without sparing her a glance, probably as confused by her presence as she was annoyed by it. She scrolled on her phone, draining the battery to keep boredom at bay. She’d brought a pad and pencil to draw but she barely had the space to move her arms.

At least she had avoided the role of one of the droids in the Santa Clause factory like the year before, she thought as Ezra brushed his way back to her, dressed in a poor man’s droid’s costume.

“Why did I have to be a droid?” he complained as he leaned over the small counter of Sabine’s booth.

“I don’t know what’s more cramped. This box or your droid costume.”

“It’s the costume, trust me.”

He tugged on the sleeves yet they continued to hike up past his wrists.

“Anyway, Hera is asking if you want a snack.”

Sabine sighed. The only privilege of working for the market was that they didn’t have to cue twenty minutes for a crepe. Still, with her legs cramping up and her elbows rubbing against wood all day, it didn’t feel worth it. And if the PA system behind her played that stupid Life Day song again, she was going to take it down herself.

Ezra stared at her, waiting for an answer. Her gaze migrated away from her brother to the familiar blonde who had just squeezed through the crowd at the entrance. A big smile appeared on Sabine’s lips as she spotted Shin. She waved at her. Shin gave her a small smile and brushed past the crowd to get to her.

BD-L1A - A Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! We're back with another story from The Life of the Wolf, the Wren, and their Cub! Here is the beginning and if you want to read the whole story, the link will be at the end! Enjoy!

As Uschi grew older, Sabine and Shin felt more comfortable leaving her home alone for a few hours, especially to go on dates in the evening. Now that she was eleven, she knew how to cook for herself and how to feed Murley, and she knew she had to be in bed by a certain time, especially if there was school afterward. Her mothers trusted her not to burn down the house while they were at the restaurant, or the beach, or the bar.

That night, they came back around midnight after having a very fancy evening in one of the restaurants on the harbor. While Sabine had organized the date by claiming that it wasn’t for any special occasion, in truth it was the five-year anniversary of the day Shin had stabbed her. She didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, but they were used to sneakily celebrating anniversaries. They couldn’t agree on whether they should celebrate the first day they had kissed – as Shin kept insisting – or the day where they had officially decided to start their relationship – which Sabine preferred. They each organized their own dates for those anniversaries while pretending that it was a day like any other. It was more of a joke nowadays.

Sabine parked her speeder in front of the house and they climbed up the stairs. They had definitely gotten too much champagne, Sabine thought, but she didn’t mind. Decisions made in bed under the influence of champagne usually turned out rather pleasing. As they entered the house, clinging to one another, the ground floor was dark. Sometimes Uschi would fall asleep in front of the TV, but she wasn’t on the couch that day.

“Uschi,” Shin began to call into the silent house.

Sabine shushed her swiftly, then whispered in her ear:

“Don’t wake her.”

She pulled Shin’s earlobe between her teeth, making her girlfriend moan. Shin pushed her until Sabine was against the wall, though they were a little too close to the kitchen doorway for Sabine to use it for support. Still, Sabine drew her into a hungry kiss, all teeth and tongue as Shin grabbed her ass and pulled her closer, changing tactics once she saw the wall was inadequate.

The plan was always the same. Make out their way to their bedroom while also trying to lose as little clothe as possible in the process. Now that Uschi wasn’t so innocent to the way the world work, she had started to notice how insatiable her parents were for one another, and making disgusting faces. They had to be more careful, which made it all the more exciting.

They hadn’t even traversed the kitchen doorway on their way to their bedroom yet when the house’s wall-mounted communication device rang. They jumped apart as the shrieking sound spooked them. Sabine sighed, forehead falling against Shin’s shoulders. No one would be calling them this late if it wasn’t an emergency, and most emergencies were reserved for Sabine, whether it was from Hera, Ezra, or Ahsoka.

Sabine brushed a hand through her hair, hoping she looked presentable still, and she took the call. The face that appeared on the screen was not one she expected at all.

“Governor Azadi. I’m sure whatever emergency you’re calling about, it can wait until tomorrow morning.”

Sabine was about to end the call, but Azadi still had the time to reply:

“It can, but I doubt you’d like your daughter to spend the night in jail.”

Sabine’s finger hovered an inch off the ‘end call’ button. Azadi’s words sobered her up faster than a slap.

“What?”

“I’m doing you a favor by calling you, Sabine.”

Sabine still couldn’t understand. Uschi was in bed, not in jail. She glanced behind her at Shin, who had also heard. Shin also looked sobered. She rushed down the stairs to Uschi’s room.

Dream Markers and Memory Keepers - a Captain Marvel fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! Here is an extract of the story I wrote for the winner of my bid for the MTH 2020 charity auction! It’s a lot of family fluff as Maria and Carol take Monica to Disneyworld for the first time. If you want to read the whole story the link is at the end!

Maria spotted the miraculously empty bench and Monica mustered all the energy she had left to run to it. Soon enough, her parents caught up. Carol was carrying a small collection of shopping bags. She tugged them between her feet as she sat down. Monica was sandwiched between her moms. Cinderella castle rose over them on the other side of the circular plaza. Now that the night had fallen, it was illuminated by powerful projectors, so that even the blue rooftops and golden spirals were visible as if it were the middle of the day.

The whole plaza was lit by streetlights. However, despite the intense lights around her, Monica yawned. She rubbed her eyes and rested her head against Maria's shoulder.

"Don't fall asleep before the fireworks, Lieutenant Trouble," Carol said.

"It's fine, we have plenty of time. She can take a little nap."

In no time at all, Monica was asleep. People began to crowd the plaza in preparation for the light show and fireworks. Carol checked her phone. They still had a good hour to wait. Maria was holding onto her daughter. Carol slid just a bit closer, careful not to crush Monica between them, and placed one arm over the backrest of the bench. She could feel the warmth of Maria's arm against her hand.

"We're going to be eating nothing but potatoes for the rest of the year, but it would have been so worth it," Carol said with a smile.

Maria brushed a strand of curly hair away from Monica's face.

"She's going to run us ragged. We're here all week and I'm already tired."

"To be fair, the first's day is always the most exciting."

Maria glanced at her in disbelief and Carol shrugged.

"If you want to take a day off at the spa, I can handle her."

"Even if she wants to go on 'It's a small world' again?" Maria asked with a chuckle.

Carol shuddered.

"I'll do my best..."

More and more people settled on the sidewalk and in any available spot to wait. Many were families just like them, with one or more children either too excited to fall asleep or struggling to remain awake. Carol checked the time again on her phone and eventually, she decided to check the pictures she'd taken during the day. She almost had the wind knocked out of her by the number of pictures alone.

"Thank God I remembered to empty my phone before we left. It's just the first day and I already have over a hundred pictures!"

Maria leaned a bit closer, mindful of the sleeping eight-year-old against her.

"Let me see."

Carol selected the oldest picture she'd taken, one of Monica posing beside the huge statue of Ariel at their hotel.

"That's one a keeper alright."

Burned to the Wick - A CindyxAlice fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! Here the beginning of my new one-shot! It’s a College AU where Alice goes to an Halloween party, only to end up stuck in a room with Cindy, whom she basically hasn’t spoken to since the indicent with the radio when they were 12. If you want to read the whole thing, the link is at the end! I hope you enjoy!

There was a time when Alice liked Halloween. It was a time when making her own costumes with whatever she could find was fun and not pitiful. A time when she knew how to disappear behind the mask, where even the other children's mockeries couldn't touch her. A time when she would eat candy until she was sick and sneak out of bed to watch whatever late-night horror movie was on TV. By the age of twelve, she'd outgrown it all.

By then, Halloween became nothing but a marketing ploy. Halloween passed, people threw away their rotting carved pumpkins and replaced them with turkeys, and Alice trudged on through school. She didn't care much, about anything, actually. But in sophomore year of high school, she handed in a poem in literature, and Mrs. Bates, who was quite the poet herself, recognized raw talent when she saw it. She took Alice under her wing, and Alice begrudgingly let her. She didn't like poetry much but she had a knack for it. She imagined it was the closest she'd ever come to making music since she didn't know how to play any instruments. And it seemed her teacher really believed in her. She convinced Alice to apply for college to study poetry, and get a scholarship. And incredibly, it worked. Alice got one of those 'let's pull that talented, poor kid out of misery' grand named after a white guy whose claimed to fame was being rich. It paid exactly 27% of her first year. She was eighteen, crippled with debt for life, and studying things she couldn't care less about. The American Dream.

It could have been worse. She was in a brand new dorm, one of those test dorms with mixed bedrooms. Her roommate was named Arnie, and he knew all the best tips to get the best drugs. He'd also sneaked a micro-wave under his bed and had elevated the cooking of TV dinners and ramen to an art. He was pretty cool. He was also the one who suggested they go to the massive Halloween Party at Omega Beta Zeta, which made him just a smidge less cool.

"Come on, it'll be good, trust me."

Arnie had been rolling joints in preparation for the party like it was his job. He had a reputation to maintain.

"Are you serious?" Alice replied.

She was laying on her bed and had been struggling to read Byron for half an hour.

"What's so good about a bunch of prep kids thinking they're edgy cause they're dressed like Satan and smoking a joint?"

"For a start, there's gonna be free alcohol, and how can you say no to free alcohol?"

Alice shrugged. Free alcohol was good, but she'd rather not have to listen to Taylor Swift while she was drinking.

"And those prep kids? They've got some good shit. Like, where do you think I get all my oxy?"

Alice gave another vague shrug. Byron was not going well, she'd been reading the same verse five times already. Frustrated, she shut the book and let it fall on the bed.

"I'm not putting on a costume."

Arnie grunted in acknowledgment, entirely focused on the joint he was rolling between his fingers. Once he was done, he set it aside and answered:

"You don't need anything too complicated. Last year they let me in with a pair of star sunglasses."

Alice sighed. She'd gone to a few parties already, but this was different. Something about everyone dressing up for Halloween, the simple fact that it was a Halloween party, made it different.

"Come on, think of all the girls. Think about all the girls in slutty costumes questioning their sexuality."

Alice threw her head back against her pillow with a groan.

"Fine. I'll go. But if it sucks I'm coming back here and eating all those candies I know you're keeping in your sock drawer."

I Know You Want It (Baby, You Can Have It) - A Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! How are you doing on this fine fourth day of @wolfwrenweek ? For today I have a pretty long 5+1 that I hope you will all enjoy! Here is the beginning and if you want to read the rest of the story, the link will be at the end!

It was around the time that the dragon spewed out a sharp tongue of ice that Shin knew she had probably made a mistake. The stark white ice dragon was bigger than she had planned, and with the sunlight shining off the fresh powdered snow, she couldn’t quite look at her target. She jumped out of the way of its tail and rolled into the snow with a huff.

The voice of the armorer who had hired her for the dragon scales echoed in her mind. She’d told her it was probably a multiple-person job. Shin had scoffed at that. She was a powerful magic fighter. She carried one of the nine swords of Kyber. One ice dragon was nothing for her. As another blast of ice shattered the air above her head, she was reconsidering.

The dragon’s tail whipped past her once more. Shin dodged the blow then drew her sword. The blade ignited with orange fire. It drew the dragon’s attention right away. It roared into her face. Shin took a fighting stance. She would not die to an ice dragon, and she would not ghost her employer and run away. This dragon was going down.

The dragon’s crocodilian maw snapped at her. She held it back with magic, the sharp, needle-like teeth a few inches from her hand. She struck her sword against the dense, metal-like scales. The blade sparked, and the orange fire left a searing line over the white, but the dragon did not seem to care. It struck its claws at her. Shin rolled out of the way and slashed again. This time, she hit its wing, and tore the thin skin to shreds. The ice dragon roared again and its spiky tail whipped around. Shin tried to stop it, but all she could do was slow it down. It still pushed her to the ground and she stumbled into the snow with a groan.

The dragon loomed over her before she could stand back up. Its maw opened over her, and she saw the white spark of ice building at the back of its throat. She felt its terrible cold already. She could try to shield herself from the blast, but she was so close, she doubted it would do anything.

A crack of thunder distracted the dragon for a split second. A single bullet snapped through the air and hit the dragon in the eye. It reeled back with a terrible roar. Shin was too stunned to move. When she raised herself on her elbows, she spotted a mirage of colors running toward her. Only, when a second bullet snapped through the air and crashed against the dragon’s hard scales, Shin knew it wasn’t a mirage.

“Are you okay?” the voice of a young woman shouted.

Shin didn’t bother answering. She jumped back to her feet, grabbed her sword, and rushed after the dragon once more.

Devil Baby of Mine - Critical Role Fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from my new Critical Role fanfiction, the story of Grog finding a baby in the woods and deciding to kep him. If you enjoy, the link to the full story will be at the bottom of the post!

It wasn't unusual to find Grog wandering about the woods near Westruun. Whenever the need to smash some things arose – which, in his years of retirement, was just as strong as it had been in his prime – he would leave home in the morning and return before supper, just like Pike had instructed him. Sometimes, he would return with gifts, depending on what he had killed. Direwolf teeth, owlbear feathers, even a bulette shell, once. Everyone liked those gifts, especially Juniper. The gifts that Pike and Scanlan didn't like were the living ones, like that time he'd brought back a griffin egg and it had hatched in the living room. Pike had made him promise no more living gifts.

On that bright spring afternoon, Grog was making his way home after having climbed into the hills to fight a giant, just because he could. The sun was shining through the trees above him, casting small shapes of light on the ground. Grog's hammer rested over his shoulder, slick with the hill giant's blood. He was thinking about whether he should stop on his way home to find a gift for Juniper. He knew she would be sad if he didn't bring her something. Maybe he could stop on his way back to pick a few flowers. They would whither more quickly than wolf teeth, but he would be back to the forest in no time, so he could bring her more if Juni was sad that her flowers died.

Something shone in the distance, reflecting the mid-afternoon sunlight. It almost blinded Grog.

"Oh, shiny," he said as he quickly made his way toward the shiny.

Once he was close enough, he noticed that the shiny in question was a large safety pin, keeping a bundle of cloth tightly together. Grog carefully pulled the safety pin out to look at it. He thought Juni might like it, so he placed it in his bag. Then, light babbles echoed from between the folds of the cloth, and he looked down.

There was a baby in the cloth. A tiny thing, but bigger than Juni when she'd been a baby. The same size as the quarter elves when they were baby, or close to it. But it wasn't a quarter elf, even though its ears were pointed. Its skin was pink, but not a normal sort of pink. A bright, flowery sort of pink, which reminded Grog of the sky at dusk sometimes. Pink like some of Scanlan's clothes, or pink like a slice of bacon before its cooked. Two tiny horns protruded from its forehead. Its eyes were a solid shade of gold as if two coins had been placed in its sockets. It barely had any hair on its head.

Confused, Grog looked around, wondering who could have left their baby in the middle of the forest all on its own. All he saw was a dire wolf, attracted by the sounds the baby was making.

"Go," Grog ordered as he tried to shoo the animal away. "Don't make me punch you."

The wolf flinched at the sound of Grog's voice, and after a moment of hesitation, it ran away. Grog kneeled beside the baby and picked it up. Where he'd been able to hold baby Juniper in the palm of his hand, he had to tuck this baby in the crook of his elbow to be sure not to drop it. The child's golden eyes were staring at him with wonder. It extended a tiny pink hand to reach for his face, but its arm was too short to reach Grog's beard.

Grog decided he couldn't leave the baby there, to be eaten by wolves. He had to take him home and take care of him. From now on, this baby would be his. After all, almost everyone else in his family had kids now, so why not him too? Then, he remembered what had happened the last time he'd brought something living home. Pike had said no more living things. But if he didn't tell Pike, then there would be no problem. It seemed like the perfect idea. Don't tell Pike and Scanlan, and he wouldn't have to ask for their permission to keep the baby.

Satisfied with his plan, Grog carefully placed the bundle of cloth in his bag. Once he was sure his new child was comfortable, he continued on his way.
