Raspberry Swirl (Carol/Valkyrie Fanfiction)

Raspberry Swirl (Carol/Valkyrie fanfiction)

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from my new story, Raspberry Swirl, a CarolValkyrie story about ice cream and summer and Carol being an awkward idiot who can’t line up two words together. Link to the full story will be at the end.

The woman looked at Carol once again, surprised.

"And the blueberry one?"

"I think it's supposed to be call Bi-berry?"

Carol pulled out the cone out of the icebox. Its wrapper was red, purple and blue, imitating the bisexual flag. The woman chuckled.

"Fine, I'll take it. How much?"

"Oh... It's... on the house?"

The woman frowned in surprise.

"Really? Why?"

Carol shrugged, desperately trying to find an excuse.

"It's the end of the day..."

The woman continued to stare at Carol, trying to figure out why she was suddenly giving her a free cone. Finally, she gave up and picked up the ice cream off the counter.

"Thanks."

"My pleasure," Carol replied with a bright smile. "Now you can tell your friend Bi-berry's the best. I mean blueberry," she added quickly.

"I know," the woman replied with a wink before she turned around and returned to her towel.

Carol watched her go, then looked away quickly when the woman looked back. Beside her, Monica continued to stare. Carol moved away, fiddling with her phone.

"So, tipping isn't flirting, but giving free ice cream definitely is, right?" the girl asked.

Carol groaned and refused to answer.

No Magic Word Can Make Me Disappear - a RubyxChristina fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! I’m back with this short one-shot inspired by Jennifer’s Body! Here is an extract and if you want to read the whole thing the link is at the end! Hope you enjoy!

Christina hadn't been answering her phone all evening. Ruby was growing worried with each passing minute. There was a big fancy dinner at the Braithwhites that evening, which seemed to happen at least once a month. Christina hated them but Christina had to be there. And usually, during those evenings, Christina texted her well into the night. Ruby couldn't be there but she could keep her company that way. But tonight, nothing. Her last text had been at seven sharp when she'd had to step into the reception room – because of course, that huge mansion of hers had a reception room. Since then, nothing.

Ruby had been turning and turning in her bedroom. She'd called Christina ten times already. What more could she do? She had a bad, venomous feeling in her gut. It made her want to run. The cold dread in her chest made her think that Christina was in danger, and she was stuck in her small college dorm room, waiting for a text message that might never come.

Her phone vibrated suddenly and she jumped to it. Any wave of relief she'd felt dissipates when she saw it wasn't Christina calling, but Leti.

"What do you want?"

"Jesus, someone's on edge. What's up? Is your girlfriend getting on your nerve again?"

Ruby rolls her eyes.

"She's not my girlfriend."

They were a deadly secret. If Christina's father ever found out, he would kill them both. And probably get away with it too, the rich bastard that he was.

"She hasn't been answering my texts and all my phone calls tonight. I'm getting worried."

"You're worried over nothing. What could happen to her at those fancy parties, seriously?"

Still, Ruby was playing all the worse scenarios in her mind. She'd rather not name them, though, or else they would become painfully real. She was about to ask Leti again why she called when she heard a knock outside. It sounded far away. Ruby wasn't sure whether it was at her door at all. Still, she went to it, just to check, just in case.

"Hold on, I think someone's at the door."

Ruby opened the door and leaned her head outside. The light in the corridor turned on. There was no one. She thought maybe she could see someone in the staircase. Maybe it was someone bringing something to a friend. The hallway was empty.

"It was nothing," Ruby said as she closed the door.

"You seriously need to calm down," Leti said, still on the other side of the phone. "Anyway, I was wondering if you had time to go shopping with me tomorrow?"

Ruby was barely listening to the question. She was looking out of the window. She felt observed. She approached the window and looked outside. There was nothing but dark grass under streetlights. The nearest tree was too far for its branches to reach her window. There was no one outside.

"Ruby?"

The phone, right.

"I don't know, Leti. I'll call you back tomorrow to let you know, alright?"

Ruby hung up. She checked her phone again. No answer from Christina. The seeds of worry were rooted in her heart, but there wasn't much she could do. Maybe she should get some sleep. If Christina still hadn't answered tomorrow morning then Ruby would have no other choice but to go to the Braithwhite manor herself and check on her girlfriend.

She put her phone on her desk and rubbed her eyes tiredly. She turned off the light. The room grew cold and the flicker of a lighter resounded like a firework explosion. Ruby bolted around. There was someone seating by the edge of her window. She could see her outline from the streetlight outside. A few more sparks flew from the lighter before a small orange flame illuminated her face. Ruby knew that frame, she knew that body and that face, but for a second, she didn't recognize her.

I don't usually post about what I'm working on here, but this one was particularly amusing, and I have to share it in its full glory.

Context: I'm writing a heavy make out session between Ruby and Christina. And it went like this:

1. It's winter so I give Christina a turtleneck.

2. After describing Ruby kissing Christina, she goes on to kissing her neck for about 150 words.

3. Christina finally takes off her turtleneck.

4. My brain finally catches on to the situation of the disappearing turtleneck... To reworking this sequence I go!

Bonus: I then describe this to my mom and she goes: "it can still work if they really try, where there's a will there's a way" XD

5 Firsts in Uschi's Life - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! Happy 1 year anniversary to the Ahsoka series and Wolfwren! For those of you who read my kidfic last month, here is the first of a few very anticipated sequels! Here is an extract and if you want to read the whole story, the link will be at the end!

"The other two bedrooms are here and here.”

Uschi looked within the first one, then the second one. It was this one that caught her attention. It was just as empty and white as the other rooms, but there was something about the size and shape of it that she liked. The windows gave onto the street, rather than the courtyard.

She went to one of the windows and opened the binds to look outside. The street wasn’t too crowded, and the few people who walked by and spotted her smiled at her.

“What do you think?”

Uschi turned away from the window. While Sabine was stuck listening to Treshock’s meandering explanations, Shin had remained behind. She was standing in the doorway of the room, watching Uschi with a smile.

“Can this be my room?” Uschi asked.

“I think so. It depends on whether Sabine likes it too.”

“Do you like it?”

Shin shrugged.

“It’s been a very long time since I’ve had a house. I don’t know what makes a good house.”

Uschi pondered the question.

“It has bedrooms for everyone.”

“That’s true.”

“And there’s a big kitchen. And maybe we can buy a long sofa for the living room so we can all sit together.”

“I think that’s a great idea.”

As they walked back up the stairs, Uschi continued to explain what made this house great.

“All the walls are white so we can paint them however we want. And I saw a noodle bar down the street on our way here, so it’s not very far if we want to get noodles.”

“If we want to.”

At the top of the stairs, they had lost sight of Sabine and the real estate agent.

“Buir?” Uschi called.

“Up there,” Sabine replied, as her voice carried down a narrow staircase tugged against the wall.

Life Could Be a Dream - a RubyxChristina fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from the first part of my new two-shot, in which Christina inherits a strange book. If you’re interested, the link to the full story is at the end!

"What are we looking at?" Ruby asked.

"A book," Christina replied.

Ruby rolled her eyes.

"I couldn't have guessed it myself. And something tells me this isn't the kind of book we want to open."

Christina touched one of the cogs on the cover, making it turn one notch to the right. They held their breaths, but nothing happened.

"We need the combination," Christina said.

She looked more closely at the mirror in the middle of it all, in case something was hidden inside. All she saw was her eye staring back at her.

"Again, should we open it?" Ruby asked. "It could be trapped. If those Butchers didn't really like your father but wanted him to have it, it probably wasn't out of the kindness of their hearts."

"I've thought of that."

Christina pulled on the straps lightly, but they wouldn't budge. She looked at the back of the book, but there was nothing. She was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt Ruby's hand on her shoulder.

"I know that you're excited about a possible new magic book, but it's locked for a reason. And I don't need to remind you that you're not as equipped to deal with magic as you used to be. The mark is one thing, but whatever's inside, it might be stronger than the mark."

Christina pursed her lips.

"What do you suggest?"

"I'm not going to stop you from trying, because I know then you'll go behind my back. Just promise me that you won't try to open it if I'm not there. I'll place a circle around the book, make sure whatever's inside is contained in case it tries to come out."

Christina looked at Ruby. Under her tutelage, Ruby had made immense progress in the past year, and she was now a very competent practitioner. Christina never tired of hearing her lover speaking so confidently about magic.

"What?" Ruby asked.

Christina pulled her into a kiss.

"Nothing. You get started on the circle, I'll go get some things that might be useful."

This Is a Gift, It Comes With a Price (Who Is the Lamb and Who Is the Knife?) - an Agathario fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! Welcome to my first Agathario fanfiction! This is a canon divergence in which Rio and Agatha make a deal and so Nicky gets to live longer than in the show. Here is the beginning, and if you want the link to the full story it will be at the end! Enjoy!

The son of Death was never meant to live. Rio had tried to warn Agatha, but in her hubris, the witch had not listened. It was a sick twist of Fate that Agatha’s arrogance was also one of her most attractive qualities.

When Rio felt the pull to Nicky, it was like a kick in her stomach. She may not have carried the boy, but she had felt her growing connection to him. It was a strange tinge of familiarity – the call for Death, like a lighthouse in the dark – and foreign – nobody called Death quite like this little boy. She had always felt a connection to Agatha, and could pinpoint her anywhere on Earth, but since Nicky’s conception, that connection had been stronger than ever.

She found her love without difficulty. She was wearing nothing but her smock, and leaning against a tree as pain racked through her. Rio had witnessed so many births gone awry. She had taken away so many mothers wrenching with agony, face sweaty and legs slick with their own blood. She had taken away so many silent children, still warm and slippery from their mother’s wombs. But this was different.

As soon as Agatha saw her, her face changed from one anguish to another. All her pain was forgotten when she saw Rio come up to her, baring an orchid. Rio had felt deep distress at the thought of taking the boy away and leaving Agatha with nothing but her tears. An orchid was the least she could bring her, even if Agatha did not understand its meaning.

“No, no. It cannot be.”

Rio had so rarely felt guilt. She knew other people’s guilt, but hers was unknown to her. The look Agatha gave her brought out an explosion of guilt in her chest. Her lungs constricted so tightly that if she needed to breathe, she might not have been able to. She could barely look Agatha in the eye, but she had to. It was the least she could do for her.

“It must be.”

How many laws of Nature would they break together? Rio had stopped counting. Nicky might be the last straw, the one that tipped the scale so far that life and death lost all meaning. Nature itself could have never allowed it. The boy would never breathe, like so many before him, and so many after.

“You do this and I’ll hate you forever,” Agatha promised as she glared at her through unshed tears.

Her eyes softened as she begged:

“Please let him live. Please. Please, my love.”

Rio could not withstand the brunt of her tenderness. She had to look away, even for a second.

Christmas at Hyde Park - a RubyxChristina fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from my Christmas fic! It’s just a whole lot of family fluff, so I hope you’ll enjoy it! If you want to read the whole thing, the link is at the end! Happy end of years celebrations!

The toy store was packed with people, and Ruby almost lost Leti twice into the crowd. Leti was fighting with a pile of boxes. George wanted a train set for Christmas, but of course, they had to come into multiple boxes. Every time Ruby suggested she took a few boxes, Leti practically fought her off.

"I can carry a few boxes."

Still, the train station threatened to fall off the wagon, and Rub caught it just in time.

"What else do we need?" she asked, wanting nothing more than to leave and move on with their Christmas shopping.

"He wants a game of jacks to play with his friends and Tic thought he might like a jigsaw puzzle."

"And you sure you can afford all that with Mr. Fix-It's pay?"

Leti glared at her older sister.

"He got a Christmas bonus. Not everyone can live at the expense of a rich white girl."

Ruby rolled her eyes. She had a job and it paid well, she wasn't some kept woman who spent her days in the kitchen.

"I was gonna suggest I buy one for him."

"I don't need the help."

Still, Leti ground her teeth in front of the cash register and paid for her son's Christmas gifts. They left with heavy bags into the cold Chicago air. It was the last day of November, and already people were rushing from shop to shop in search of the perfect gift.

"I don't get why you don't want my money anymore," Ruby said as they walked down the street. "It was good enough for you before."

"Maybe because you kept complaining that I was leeching off of you."

"I complained when I didn't know what it was for. Now I know it's for my nephew, mostly. If you need some, I can lend it to you, it's not a problem."

"I don't need your money. I've got the money from the house, and Tic's got his job. Plus, I don't want to owe anything to Christina."

Ruby shook her head. She hadn't volunteered any of the blonde's money, although she knew Christina wouldn't care if she asked her.

"Are you gonna get Tic anything?" Ruby asked, deciding it was better to change the subject.

"Besides my love and time, you mean? He needs a new belt. And you? Got any idea?"

Ruby sighed. She always struggled to find the right gift for Christina. What could she gift to someone who could get absolutely anything she wanted at any moment? She'd given her records and sweaters the previous years. Christina listened to the records and she wore the sweaters, but it didn't feel special enough, Ruby thought. Not that the blonde minded. It wasn't that Christina hated Christmas, it was that she didn't care about it. Before Ruby, she hadn't celebrated since her mother's passing.

"My love and time?" Ruby replied.

Leti chuckled and the two sisters continued down the street to a man's clothing store. While Leti looked for a belt for her husband, Ruby looked at the shirts on display. Would it be weird if she bought a male's shirt for Christina? One she could wear as William? The blonde had a drawer full of clothes she wore as William, but none Ruby had ever bought for her. With a sigh, Ruby thought she would just buy another woolen sweater for the blonde.

Leti paid the belt and they walked on.

"I'm glad you're taking care of dinner this year," Leti said. "Don't forget to make gingerbread for Georgie."

As if she could forget, Ruby thought.

"Don't worry, he'll have a whole army of gingerbread people to eat."

I Was Raised out in the Cold - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! I have added a new story to my "Ahsoka season 2 and beyond" series, this one about a mission on Hoth! Here is the beginning and if you want to read the full story the link will be at the end!

“Sabine? Sabine? Sabine!”

Shin pushed past her and, contracting the Force above her like a muscle, deflected the snow away from them, blocking the path between them and the stormtroopers hot on their tails. A splash of powdery flakes fell on Sabine. The cold sharpened her mind, bringing her out of her thoughts. Shin turned around to look at her, but there was an indescribable expression on her face.

“Focus, damn it,” she barked at her.

The hissing of a flamethrower echoed on the other side of the wall of snow. They both knew they couldn’t linger. Sabine grabbed Shin by the wrist and took off running.

It had struck Sabine as ironic when they had been assigned the mission. The Empire was using the Rebellion’s former base on Hoth to hide. But now that they were in the thick of it, with no aerial support, she was as far from laughing as could be. Shin escaped her grasp and passed her, brushing against the walls of packed snow of the old trenches. The ammunition storage room would blow any minute now, and they better be out of there before it did.

Behind them, the stormtroopers had cleared the snow with a flamethrower and fired another rocket at them. It impacted on the wall beside them, leaving a melted spot and making the once sturdy snow crumple onto itself. Sabine flinched and picked up the pace. With one blaster in hand, she tried to aim back at them, however the trenches were irregular and their enemies used the terrain to avoid her shots as much as they did.

Ahead, they reached one of the caves that led further into the base. Shin unlocked the heavy door with the Force and pulled it open. As soon as both she and Sabine were inside, Shin shut the door behind them and bent the mechanism inside to prevent the stormtroopers from following.

“Where is Ahsoka?”
