Where On Earth Have I Been?

Where on Earth have I been?

(Not that I think anyone really cares, but I’ve been seeing a lot of new subscribers lately and I felt bad for not having posted anything in a while)

I have been extremely busy. First with college, and work on my thesis that was much longer than it should have been (me, writing too much? Shocker, I know) but the teachers agreed it was necessary so everything turned out pretty great. And then I just spent the past two months finally, finally writing a novel! All 105.134 words of it! It may lead to nothing, it may not even see the bottom of an agent’s trashcan or whatever but I’m still pretty proud.

That being said, I cannot confirm when I’ll be back with new fanfictions. I can’t even confirm which ships I’ll be writing about. Only that I need a little break and that I’ll be back to school mid-September which might give me plenty of opportunity to pass the time writing fanfictions!

Have a nice weekend everyone and hopefully see you soon with a new story!

Past and Present Song - a Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! Here comes the final story in the Wolf, the Wren and their Cub series! Here is the beginning and the link to the full first half of the story will be at the end!

It took six years to clear out the rubble of Sundari. Droids had to be rented from the New Republic to safely dismantle the taller buildings that loomed over the city, including what remained of the dome. The city was still regrowing, but Bo-Katan did not want to wait to clear out the ruins of the other cities. So, in the summer before she enrolled at Lothal’s Junior Academy of Arts and Sciences, Uschi volunteered to help clear out the ruins of Keldabe.

She hadn’t exactly volunteered. It was more like a requirement to finally be added to the Song. Sabine thought she was ready to receive her armor and taker her oath, but she also thought Uschi needed to spend more time around other Mandalorians. So, she was joining a group of kids also about to receive their armor for their summer program, which consisted of forging – or in her case reforging – their armor and clearing out what remained of Keldabe.

Uschi’s team had been dispatched in the city’s seventh quadrant, where the buildings had been ponded to the ground and nothing loomed above them, unlike in other parts of the city. They had been given shovels, but the bigger pieces usually required two or three of the pre-teens to work together. Delia, in her tall loader body, thrived here. She picked up the bigger pieces with ease and carried them to the truck as if they were made of foam.

“They should make Delia an honorary Mandalorian,” Lae said as the droid walked past her.

“Yeah, they should give her the armor instead of Uschi,” Eagis joked. “She’s been twiddling her thumbs over there.”

Uschi glared at him. She decided to teach him a little lesson. She reached out her hand and Force lifted five large pieces of ruble, including the one Eagis had been dragging on his own.

“Uschi,” Axe warned her.

Uschi lowered the rubble back to the ground. They had been agreed that she wouldn’t be using the Force, and would use her hands like everyone. Of course, she was still using the Force to carry the rubble with her hands, but no one needed to know that.

Here I Am, Next to You (You Pull at My Seams) - An Avatrice and MaryShannon fanfiction

Hey everyone! Here’s an extract from my new summer romance fic, featuring in equal measure Avatrice and MaryShannon! If you like what you read, the link to the full chapter will be at the end!

On the other side of the pool, Ava was paddling away from the shallow part. She ignored the pain in her limbs and pressed on, all the while Mary was calling from the side of the pool.

“Ava, come back on this side. Don’t you want to learn how to swim properly, rather than… whatever you’re doing?”

Ava shrugged off her comments.

“I’m fine,” she shouted back.

She was in the middle of the pool now, where the ground was so deep that she couldn’t feel it even with the tip of her toes. She was paddling her arms and legs as fast as she could to keep her head above the water. On the side of the pool, a young woman in a black swimming suit stepped up to the diving board. She had long, strong legs. Her hair was hidden beneath a black swimming cap, though a few small one still peaked out, plastered on the nape of her neck. Droplets of water had collected in the hollow of her throat, now running over to the edge of her swimsuit.

Ava forgot to paddle. She stared. It lasted only long enough that she felt herself sinking beneath the water. Panic rose in her chest and she kicked the water hard. She couldn’t calm down. Every kick of her legs only seem to drag her further under the water. She tried calling for help, but water filled her mouth and smothered her voice.

She didn’t hear the splash, only felt someone grabbing her and pulling her to the surface. She continued to struggle, but her rescuer was strong.

“You’re okay,” the voice of a young woman told her. “You’re okay.”

Ava finally snapped out of her panic. She was being pulled toward the ladder, held firmly above the water. Once she could finally grab the ladder to keep herself from drowning, she pulled away from her savior. Her heart sputtered in her chest when she realized it was the girl from the diving board.

“I’m…”

Ava wasn’t sure what she was trying to say. They stood so close to one another that she could see the freckles on the other girl’s face. I’m grateful? I’m Ava?

“I’m dead,” she thought and said at the same time, because she had to be.

The girl frowned.

“No, I… I pulled you out,” she replied with confusion.

“Yeah, no, obviously. I’m not dead, dead. I’m just… I’m Ava.”

Before the other girl could introduce herself, Mary arrived just in time to drag Ava out of the pool.

“I told you to stay in the shallow part. I warned you, didn’t I?”

Ava rolled her eyes and exited the pool. Mary threw her towel at her and Ava brushed the chlorine water out of her eyes.

“I was fine. I did it on purpose again.”

Then, she saw her rescuer was climbing after her, and giving her strange look, and Ava was quick to respond.

“I mean I didn’t do it on purpose to scare anyone. I had everything under control, totally.”

“That’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever said,” Mary replied, earning herself a glare.

A moment later, another woman joined them. She wasn’t wearing a swimsuit, but shorts and a tank top, her long brown hair held in a ponytail.

“Everything alright?” she asked.

“I’m sorry, Miss Masters,” Ava’s rescuer said. “I thought she was drowning, I…”

“You did good, don’t worry.”

“I’m sorry about that,” Mary intervened. “Ava doesn’t know when a joke has gone too far.”

“It’s fine. Better safe than sorry.”

“I just got tired all of a sudden is all,” Ava tried to defend herself against Mary’s glare without passing for a complete loser in front of the cute girl.

The characters of Warrior Nun play Dungeons &Dragons

Ava is the DM, obviously. She’s been dying to play and she convinced everyone to join. Despite that, she still manages to finish her prep an hour before the game starts (it happens to the best of us)

Beatrice plays an elf paladin. At first she had picked a human but Ava made that face that Beatrice interpreted as “not a very original choice” but really meant “I was sure you would pick that” so Bea changed it to an elf. Ava made the face again but she stood her ground and tried (and failed) to ignore it.

Camila went online and tried to find the best, deadliest combinaison. She picked a tabaxi rogue/barbarian. Sneak attack damages count as a crit when she does a reckless attack. Ava doesn’t know if she loves it or hates it.

Lilith took some time to coax but eventually she agreed to “one stupid game” and now she’s a regular. She plays  a tiefling sorcerer. She almost took a warlock but realized her powers would be beholden to someone else and she couldn’t have that, so sorcerer it is.

In the time it took Ava to learn the base rules, Yasmine had already read all the add-ons (just in case). In the end, she picked an Aasimar wizard. She takes all of the notes. Not a word passes through Ava’s lips that she won’t transcribe in her notebook. It’s kind of scary sometimes.

Mary picked a half-elf (”they have a charisma bonus which gives a tactical advantage”) warlock (”I’ve got Eldrich Blast. When you’ve got Eldrich Blast you don’t need combat skills”).

Michael plays a dragonborn cleric because someone had to be the cleric and it certainly wasn’t going to be Lilith (”who cares if your character dies?”), Camila (”I already have two classes, a third one would be way too much”), Mary (”It would ruin my build”) or Yasmine (”I can be the cleric if you want me to”) after Lilith’s intervention (”Let Michael do it.”)

Mother Superion joined a game once. She played a human monk and she proved even more game breaking than Camila, somehow. She said “this game is easy” and Ava banned her (Beatrice had to talk her out of it).

Bonus: Shannon plays a halfling bard. Everyone thought that she would pick a fighting character, perhaps a paladin, but she knows all too well the weight of an oath on a person. She’d rather have fun.

Life Could Be a Dream - a RubyxChristina fanfiction

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from the first part of my new two-shot, in which Christina inherits a strange book. If you’re interested, the link to the full story is at the end!

"What are we looking at?" Ruby asked.

"A book," Christina replied.

Ruby rolled her eyes.

"I couldn't have guessed it myself. And something tells me this isn't the kind of book we want to open."

Christina touched one of the cogs on the cover, making it turn one notch to the right. They held their breaths, but nothing happened.

"We need the combination," Christina said.

She looked more closely at the mirror in the middle of it all, in case something was hidden inside. All she saw was her eye staring back at her.

"Again, should we open it?" Ruby asked. "It could be trapped. If those Butchers didn't really like your father but wanted him to have it, it probably wasn't out of the kindness of their hearts."

"I've thought of that."

Christina pulled on the straps lightly, but they wouldn't budge. She looked at the back of the book, but there was nothing. She was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt Ruby's hand on her shoulder.

"I know that you're excited about a possible new magic book, but it's locked for a reason. And I don't need to remind you that you're not as equipped to deal with magic as you used to be. The mark is one thing, but whatever's inside, it might be stronger than the mark."

Christina pursed her lips.

"What do you suggest?"

"I'm not going to stop you from trying, because I know then you'll go behind my back. Just promise me that you won't try to open it if I'm not there. I'll place a circle around the book, make sure whatever's inside is contained in case it tries to come out."

Christina looked at Ruby. Under her tutelage, Ruby had made immense progress in the past year, and she was now a very competent practitioner. Christina never tired of hearing her lover speaking so confidently about magic.

"What?" Ruby asked.

Christina pulled her into a kiss.

"Nothing. You get started on the circle, I'll go get some things that might be useful."

We Passed The Setting Sun (Or It Passed Us) - an Agathario fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! I'm back for day 6 of @agathaallalongweek and this is honestly my favorite story I've written for this week, dare I say the best soulmate AU I've ever written? You'll be the judge! Here is the beginning and if you want the whole story, the link will be at the end!

Agatha sat on the edge of High Bridge, looking at the dark river below. The moon was perfectly cut in half above her, as if someone had taken a knife to it. Agatha was reminded of Plato, and the Symposium, and Zeus slicing humans in half, forcing them to wander in search of their lost other half. She didn’t know whether Zeus existed, or whether God existed, or if there was a God, or someone out there responsible for the universe, someone who had separated all the souls but had decided hers wasn’t worth the slice. She didn’t know who to blame at all, which she hated. Agatha loved blaming other people for her problems.

The river stood a hundred and forty meters below, a swirling void that glimmered only where the current was the strongest. She’d picked a spot where it was at its strongest, hoping for a lot of rocks below. Was Agatha Harkness really contemplating suicide? She didn’t know anymore. For a drunken moment, it had seemed the only solution, but now that she had walked all the way to High Bridge and sobered up, she felt foolish. Killing herself because she didn’t have a soulmate? Who cared about being loved? Certainly not Agatha, who’d never even been loved by her mother. At least it had seemingly made her immortal, and she sure enjoyed watching the world spin faster and faster. She couldn’t wait to see it fall off its axis and crash in a beautiful shower of flames.

“Having a party?” a voice beside her said.

Agatha was pulled out of her thoughts and she looked to the side, where another woman was standing. She was wearing a green dress with a white apron around her waist, as if she expected some dirty work coming her way. Her long brown hair was tied in a braid that wrapped around the crown of her head, and her large brown eyes were looking at her with curiosity.

“You’re not going to jump, are you?” she added.

“I don’t think so,” Agatha replied.

The woman looked shocked, and Agatha wondered why, though perhaps it was because she was still sat on the edge of the bridge.

“I’m sorry,” the woman explained. “I didn’t think you could hear me.”

“You’re standing five feet away from me and there’s only us on the bridge. Why wouldn’t I be able to hear you?”

“It’s…” the woman shook her head. “Never mind. If you’re not going to jump, why are you up here, then?”

“None of your business is what I’m doing up here. Why are you here?”

The woman leaned casually against the stone railing.

“I’m waiting for someone. Probably someone more at peace than you.”

Agatha glowered.

“What is that supposed to mean?”

Is Zoe’s Last Name a Coincidence?

So maybe I’m reading too much into this, and maybe it’s just one big coincidence, but Zoe’s last name is Benson, which means exactly what it means, “son of ben”. Now, Taissa Farmiga previous character on AHS was Violet, and Violet’s father was named Ben.

So is it a joke that they picked Benson as Zoe’s last name, or reference to Murder House? Am I reading too much into this and it’s probably just a coincidence? Am I late to the party and everyone had already figured it out back in 2013? Probably all of the above...

Sabine's Universe - A Wolfwren fanfiction

A/N: Hello everyone! Here is the third part of my high school AU. You can read the beginning here and if you'd like the whole story, the link will be at the end!

Shin’s hands grew clammy around the handlebars of her bike as she followed her girlfriend through the cold streets of Capital City. Rows of houses decorated for Christmas zoomed past them, until they reached one which, in the late afternoon, flashed like a Christmas tree. Sabine threw her bike in the driveway without care. Shin was less careless. She set hers against the low wall of a planter. Sabine hopped over the path to the front door. She glanced behind her once she was at the door to make sure that Shin was following. Shin stood at the bottom of the three steps, trying not to appear nervous. This was her first time visiting Sabine’s home.

Sabine opened the door. Shin was overwhelmed for a second by the warmth of the place, and the smell of food baking in the kitchen. Pictures hung from frames on the walls and occupied most of the furniture space available. Sabine paid them no mind. She took off her coat then took Shin’s to hang it on the coatrack.

“Sabine, is that you?” a man’s voice called from deeper into the house while Sabine was taking off her shoes.

“Yep. Shin and I are just going to do our homework in my room. Then I want to show her the wall.”

“Alright. Have fun.”

Shin had barely toed off her shoes that Sabine grabbed her by the hand and led her upstairs. They disappeared through one of the doors, Sabine making sure to shut it after them. Shin dropped her backpack in a corner. Sabine, like a tornado, took off her sweater and turned on some rock music. Shin was about to ask her whether loud music was antithetic to doing their homework when Sabine returned to her and pinned her against the door.

“Is that why you brought me to your house?” Shin asked, hands grabbing Sabine’s waist.

“No, but you looked kinda cold. I figured you could use something to warm you up.”
