mom said it was my turn with the Carnelian lives au

I know everyone and their mother makes these but honestly Carnelian and umber should have had 10x more screentime (biased lmao)

Anyway in my au Carnelian does die but skywing gods deem her worthy of rebirth due to her fighting spirit. She has served the skywing tribe all her life and doesnt deserve to have it end via failed assasination attempt

After being left in the mourning cave she awakens with odd new features including feathered ears and golden scales. every wound from the dragoncactus is now covered in a golden shell. Scars remain to remind her of her strength and the gold is representative of fire. Her wing webbing having been burned is now also glittering gold, some refer to it as looking like golden silk tightly weaved together. The feathered ears are more of mystery but does spark many religious theories (I really just wanted to give her an owl like head 💀)

Of course her return startles many and causes rise of more animus speculation but Queen Ruby is happy to have her back. I believe Carnelian would remain a the academy for a few years but only to cram in all her classes then return to the skywing kindom. She wouldnt really stick around to make friends but she wouldnt look down on her winglet and would act a bit friendlier towards them.

In the future she becomes a general, though with the lack of war she found herself participating in more community activities and service. This helps her become a highly reguarded general, loved by many. She'll never settle down and have dragonets but the community will reguard her as a motherly figure. Old and wise she becomes.

overall this au is, again, giving a character I like a break lmao. but this also experiments with the kinda "god" like figures and beliefs briefly mentioned in the books (even tho skywings are kinda more reincarnation baised) idk any way is interesting to me

Ive managed to finish this 6 page short comic! Ahhh im proud of getting it done. some of the pages have less effort into them mainly cause I had too many layers and I was getting too pumped for its final project.

small explanation: Walter and Plum are a married alien couple. Walter was a tacticle general on the planet so when it was being destroyed he had to part with plum. Many of the evacuation ships were destroyed along with the army. Walter searched and the longer he searched and came up with nothing the bigger his anger and hatred became. Thats when he met hate snake a hateful creature of the universe who only wants to fuel hatred and cause choas. Hate snake pretty much tipped walter over the edge and thus began the plan to destroy the universe. Meanwhile plum wasnt destroyed she was saved by the vuples sisterhood( a sisterhood of fox like alien creatures that protect the universe but mainly reside around earths neighbor planets) she was accepted into it a was sent to guard neptune. she resided there for a long time til she set off to stop this rising villain who was threatening the universe with an army of planet eaters. Plum recognized walter but was terrified to say anything about her own identity which pretty much leads into the comic.

hate snake: hate hate (all he says is hate like a pokemon he only says his name)

pg 3. walter: Say Something! Plum: Wally..

plum: Please...

plum: Im scared of heights

walter: Plum...

pg4. (flashback) Plum: Wally please, Im scared of heights

walter: Oh dont worry hun. I got you

walter: Id never let you fall

plum: Promise?

walter: Promise

pg.5 Walter: what have I DONE?

walter: oh my god plum...plum im so sorry. I didnt know it was you. Oh my god.

walter:This is all my fault. Im so sorry. I-I

plum: Hey. Hey. Shhhhhh. Im ok you're ok. It's ok]

So ive been lucky and have been getting alot of unhatched nocturne eggs. In which i get excited and hatch them as soon as I obtain them. so im pretty much headcanoning that lucky takes them all in. He may have forgotten to tell his wife mushroom.

More info on the 2nd leaf/night dude, Conifer is a self proclaimed leader of the pinewings (a group on par with the poisonwings and sapwings) Pinewings are a hidden group of leafwings that reside in Northern forests, made up of conifers as you may have guessed, and they just chill pretty much. Conifer keeps them out of other tribes drama and makes sure their well taken care of. Conifer himself is a quiet and stern looking dude. He's strict and doesn't enjoy to joke around. At the same time though he has a very protective feel to him and you tend to like to be around him. He won't push you away either even if he's not in the best of moods Despite being the big ol tough guy leader he's usually stuck with babysitting duty as he'll allow others to go out to hunt n forage.

Random rambles

I need to fr lock in and make a comic. Absolute dream would be to make a comic that sells in comic shops so that way I can say "Yeah a comic shop didn't hire me but now I'm making them 😏"

Lmao but fr I've always want to actually make a complete comic but I've never been able to write a story start to finish so I've only made small comics. I kinda want to collab with friends cause I do have a friend who writes but doesn't draw but idk they're kinda busy and do mostly historical stuff not fantasy 💀

I just wanted to say before i asked of anything, you are such a huge inspiration to my own wings of fire fanart; i absolutely adore ur art and lovely characters,, seeing ur year review from ur most recent post was insanee your art has grown with you fantastically !!!! i found ur drawings around july or august maybe,, and ive been the biggest fan of it ever since. Sunhunter has been one of my favorite characters since like the dawn of time, SUCH an interesting idea for her to see pieces of fate in bodies of water,, but I digress !!!

I don't have a real reference for her yet EEK but she's the short purple one in the center of the three siblings !!! altho shes kind of a wip, for her character I'd say she's pretty silent but sharp, like her eyes are reflecting the idea of you through mirrors. she knows what you are before you do. lowkey eerie in nature. I like drawing her in shadows a lot. she's a very clever cookie I like to think, obsessed with the idea of justice; but before her Torment(tm) arc, she was just an ordinary girl with perhaps a bit too much anger. a little weird/socially clumsy when it came to calmer interactions with others. even so she always tried to be kind. if in her strange and quiet little ways; since she's kinda just a head bust rn I don't mind at all if improvisation is needed !!!
