First Flight

False volcano

The skywings have been claiming the mountain near them has become a volcano. Saying that the nightwing volcano must have woken it up... highly doubtful to me, but when the tremors began the rumor grew more widespread... Which is why im now in this cave.

Toad stuffed the scroll back in his bag as the mountain shook again. He managed to pin pont the exact mountain the tremors were comming from. So far it was just a boring old mountain.

"You hear that? She says youll be released soon." The voice shouted with a nervous chuckle. Toad hesitated before following the voice.

"I... I was so worried she wouldnt believe me and she'd have me killed..." The voice continued as Toad curled around the dark stone corners. His thick mudwing scales scraping against them, the heat was rising. "Imagine what we can do once your out... Like we can go flying and hunting and and you gotta see some of the festivals!" the dragon stopped falling into a coughing fit.

The cave opened up... suffocating smoke filled the belly of the mountain. Chains scattered the walls all connected to somthing in the middle. It would shift and send a chorus of clangs echoing off the walls. Claw marks of varying sizes lined the walls among charred bones and ash.

Toad crept further out trying to see what was behind the smoke.... A dragon... a giant one...

He struggled to hold himself up from the weight of the chains. Anywhere he places his talons melted, even the mountain itself. He shifted toward the ant like form of the other dragon, a wing flew over toads head sending smoke swirling past. Toad bit his tongue to prevent himself from coughing.

"I cant wait..." His voice hissed. his tongue flicked out running it over his teeth "I need to stretch my wings and get this rope off..." his neck and wings were squished into the mountain. To toad this cave was giant but to him it was a cramped cage. "revenge will be sweet I promise you that little brother..."

The dragon below gave a whimper "I wish you wouldnt think of revenge. Let them ruin themselves... the war certainly isnt going in her favor.." The large dragon reared up, he slammed his wings and talons into the mountain. The treamors... it was him...

"Dont you DARE tell me what to do." He roared, another tremor, his jaws struggled against the rope "Once im free I will do what ive been wanting to do for CENTURIES..." The small dragon whined and whimpered apologies under him. The large dragon gave a sigh, rolling his eyes "but I also wish to hang out with you...I have plans but I do wish to catch up on our lost dragonet years..."

Toad had many questions. How could a dragon of his size stay hidden. How was he burning so much? Why dont his ropes or chains burn? but he was also terrified... he needed to leave. now.

Toad turned to escape but the large dragon moved his wing, it slammed into toad. Toad heaved as the wind left his lungs, he stumbled to catch himself in the air. The two whipped around to face the eavsdropper. Toad froze. It was like starring into the sun.

"Who whos that?" The small one yelped

The large dragon opened their mouth as much as they could with a hiss "An unlucky visitor..."

Are Thalassa and Pyr gym leaders in any particular region or have you gotten that far with them?

Havent gotten that far yet but I know itll probably be a non canon one, i love to add in fan made pokemon occasionally and have free reign with city layouts

it will most likely be close to the alolan region because it is my fav but also due to the amount of wailords around requires the big open ocean lol. Im thinking maybe its almost just another island but somehow different enough to warrent their own set of gyms? I also liked the galarian region so may become an island near that instead? Leaning more towards alola though

(this makes me want to grab my 3ds and finish pokemon sun now. got it used from gamestop because I wanted to replay the game but not delete my moon file. )

"Nightwings aren't the only ones with special magic powers." His lip curled into a small smirk "At least now they aren't." He turned slightly and carefully picked out another scroll. Unrolling it there was a drawing of sunhunter with her name under it… as well as the word "now."

"What is it?" Sunhunter frowned

"I enchanted this scroll to show me who would help me stop the war." He rolled it back up "as well as tell me when you would arrive." He put it back in the pile. "Most of the others in the peace effort joined awhile ago… I knew we were missing somthing…someone." He tapped his ear "My ear iches everytime something is off. It's never been wrong yet."

Sunhunter couldn't help but wrinkle her nose. This mudwing was weird. Enchanted? Ichy ear? Peace effort? "I don't understand. How did you enchant something to do that? How… how did it know me? What is this?"

The mudwing sighed "look this isn't the time to be going over all this… You seemed to be looking for me too… so why were you?"

Sunhunters face fell. Dread filled her again as the visions images returned "I saw a vision… I know what the skywings are hiding… that.. that they're wrong to think it will work in their favor…" She shook her head burying it into her talons. "Fire! Lots of fire! The whole of pyrrhia will burn!"

"Shhh…" The mudwing stretched a wing quickly as her voice grew. "What else?"

"A giant dragon under the mountains. He wants to kill us all… if he is released pyrrhia will be destroyed… pantala too… then he'll go after the moons…" sunhunter brushed her mane "Everything will burn to crisp… it will be our final sunrise…"

The air grew cold despite the fireplace. The mudwing glanced about silently. His wing left her side "Have you gotten any other visions? How do we stop this?"

"I don't know…" she huffed "I've been flying for so long I haven't slept… I haven't even checked if I felt any signs of a vision…"

He turned and glanced toward the maps on the wall "You should stay here. Rest for the night… then I'll introduce you to the talons of peace. You can stay with us till you get another vision.." Sunhunter could only frown. She had no clue if she would get another vision. She didn't really want to stay with this mudwing and his peace group. Tiredly her head fell into the pillows. She couldn't fight it though… her whole body ached with exhaustion.

Mudwing of amber scales pt1

Getting from the sand kingdom to the mud kingdom wasn't easy. The war didn't make it any easier. Sunhunter had flown day and night, fueled only by fear. The sight see saw in the vision still haunting her. She couldn't bare to look at the mountains when she had passed them. Finally over the rainforest the outskirts of the mud kingdom were in view. This side of the kingdom remained untouched by war. Once a place regarded for only the low born mudwings was turned into a bustling city. Being the closest to the rain kingdom it made for a good base camp. The Diamond spray was were battles were often held. A faint burning glow sat on the horizon. Sunhunter wondered where the queen was. Her palace was so close to the war and yet sunhunter hear she refused to leave it.

In her thoughts she missed the rainwing patrol. The slender soldiers shot into the air slamming into her wings. She tumbled downward failing her wings to try and catch some balance. The rainwings followed and wrapped their tails around her limbs yanking in different directions. It took about six to slow her fall. Seven to full restrain her. Sunhunter growled as she thrashed "let me go! Please! I must find someone!" Her eyes caught a few of the soldiers faces as they were back down within the camp. Their noses wrinkled as their tails let her go "hybrid…" one grumbled to the others. "We're giving you mercy but dont think trying to sell Queen Gila or Queen DiamondCrusher…" they slithered back to their posts.

Sunhunter knew all too well both queens distaste for hybrids. Just last week her hybrid friend goldtail tried to trade rainwing secrets for immunity…. his head now sits stuffed on Queen Gilas wall. Sunhunter shit her eyes tightly trying to forget the image as well as to quiet her spinning head. After a moment of regaining her footing she looked around. While mudwings and rainwings were crazy about hybrids they held less murderous urges. Worst sunhunter got was a weird look. It could also be they were too busy fighting the war to care. A few large mudwings with frills and rainwings with heavy plating walked about. They didn't seem to be worried about it. Sunhunter had to shake her head again. She had gone off track thinking. She started into the city. Mudwing of amberscales…. Mudwing of amberscales….

She could only frown finding hickorys, chocolates, umbers, mahogany, russets, chestnuts, and even a few siennas. Out from a large mud den glowing from inside, came two figures. One mudwing of darker browns scales, they waved to mudwing behind them before disappearing into the crowd. The mudwing they waved to….. covered in sparking amber scales. He was large and had a few deep scars on his shoulders. His sides were speckled with amber like stars in the sky. Sumhunter could tell if they were apart of him or if he embedded them himself. She wriggled past the crowd and made it to the den. She didn't pause before entering. The mudwing looked up with a jolt. The inside of his den was cozy with blankets and pillows. The glow was coming from a burning fireplace, warmed the place to a it felt like the desert to sunhunter. He laid near it was a scroll at his talons. Instead of being angry, shocked, or screaming at sunhunter to get out… he raised a brow. "I wasn't expecting you so soon." "What?" Sunhunter shook her head. "Take a seat you must be exhausted." He motioned a talon to the pile of deep purple pillows.

Sunhunter didn't protest despite her shock. She flopped into the pile and curled her barbed tail in. So soft. She could feel her eyelids growing heavy already. Quickly lifting her head she continued "How do you know me? How did you know I was coming?"

Kelp bride

Hand drew each kelp piece (other than the farthest background as thats just a vine brush blurred) and I can tell you its honestly very fun. Kelp forests my beloved.

Its a busier piece but there was no way I was going to get rid of any of the kelp lmao.

He's got frostbreath, and attends Jade Mountain Academy! I don't have a whole lot for his lore, but I imagine he's a sweet guy.

(I'm also debating if I want to use Scarlet's arena in his story somehow. Like, maybe cause he's a hybrid she wanted to use him in the arena, idk)

His nose does have the little IceWing thing, but his face is a little more like a SkyWing's. Basically just like the first photo!^^
