This started as just a simple sketch and then I went a little overboard testing brushes and layer settings. Is this my favorite piece? no. Is it my least favorite? nope. I still enjoy this piece (mainly cause I love mavshoon and Vanya and could never forget big ol thor.)

their relationship slowly formed over their journey as the two realized they were much more alike than they knew. Mavshoon enjoys being open with Vanya. Mavshoon is judged as being some tough criminal but truely hes a kind, respectful, and loving man. He misses his family and feels bad for what happened. Vanya enjoys Mavshoons dry humor and big heart. Vanya grows to be more confident in herself and realize she doesnt have to please everyone.

small edit: Mavshoons family isnt dead they just had a fight. I just re-read my writing and could see how that could be slightly misinterperated

I just wanted to say before i asked of anything, you are such a huge inspiration to my own wings of fire fanart; i absolutely adore ur art and lovely characters,, seeing ur year review from ur most recent post was insanee your art has grown with you fantastically !!!! i found ur drawings around july or august maybe,, and ive been the biggest fan of it ever since. Sunhunter has been one of my favorite characters since like the dawn of time, SUCH an interesting idea for her to see pieces of fate in bodies of water,, but I digress !!!

I don't have a real reference for her yet EEK but she's the short purple one in the center of the three siblings !!! altho shes kind of a wip, for her character I'd say she's pretty silent but sharp, like her eyes are reflecting the idea of you through mirrors. she knows what you are before you do. lowkey eerie in nature. I like drawing her in shadows a lot. she's a very clever cookie I like to think, obsessed with the idea of justice; but before her Torment(tm) arc, she was just an ordinary girl with perhaps a bit too much anger. a little weird/socially clumsy when it came to calmer interactions with others. even so she always tried to be kind. if in her strange and quiet little ways; since she's kinda just a head bust rn I don't mind at all if improvisation is needed !!!

Welcome to a world filled with weirdos (extraterrestrials and cosmic horrors), Wannabes (not very threatening villains and evil doers) and WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!?'s (demons, cryptids, etc)

3 time galactic veteran Garmon has been tasked with starting the MDF (Midwest. Defense. Force.) after reports of weird activity have been more frequent in the heartland. Found it hard to find recruits as most of the midwest people were already busy with their own lives and no one from the parent organization wanted to go the the boring ol midwest. So the parent organization threw him a bone by "recruiting" 3 kids from the local orphanage.

(1st image from left to right) Fiadh, Helen, and Stella. Fiadh was most excited about the situation and got used to the weird arrangement quickly while Helen and stella were freaked out. If anything it did confirm some things for the girls as they each had previous run in's with weird or unexplainable encounters. Fiadh is most interested in the WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!?'s as odd creatures and beasts are very cool to her. Helen follows in Garmons steps with interest in 'weirdos' as she'd love to go to space one day and enjoys hearing stories of distant galaxies from Garmon. Stella has interest in the 'wannabes' having always looked up the super heros, she one day wants to be a super hero herself.

During their training though they ran into the witch Astraea. Astraea had been hiding out in the secluded flat lands of the midwest, perfect place to do weird magical things without interruption. Also the perfect area for a retired WAE (Witches. Against. Evil. A rival group to the MDF's parent organization. As WAE used magic to fight evil while MDF is a tech n science based place) member. She was appalled that the defense force was nothing but children and that the children were taught nothing about magic and its uses against evil. She forced Garmon to move his lab to her basment that way the girls had their own room in her warm house and not just some cold lab.

I plan to exapand this world more and maybe make a few little comics out of it. Probably just short stories or test pages as I enjoy drawing weird creatures every now and again. As well as probably giving the MDF more battle ready recruits thus allowing the girls to have a bit more being a kid time 💕

Character run down:

Cove (or sunhunter.)- she/her, was a sand/night future seer but is now hidden as a seawing by the power of an earring. Overall nervous, inquisitive, and has a strong sense to try and find justice

Echis and Gecko- she/her & he/him for Gecko, sandwings. Married noble couple. Overall sassy, a bit spoiled, but very protective and loving of their family

Snapping turtle- he/him, seawing, regarded as an odd seawing for his short snout and duller colors. Overall intelligent, grumpy, but also has a urge to find justice.

Argile- he/they, mudwing animus, a laid back leader his eye is focused on protecting his fellow mudwings. Overall strong leadership, charming, but a bit too laid back (especially when it comes to protecting fellow talons of peace)

Mouse- he/they, skywing ex talon of peace. A short and lanky skywing he tries his best to speak confidently bit often gets a jittery. Overall secretive, nervous, and cowardly

Forestfire- he/him, skywing with strong firescales, not much is known about the guy other than he is huge and angry. Overall a giant ball of rage.

princess jojoba, sandwing, she/her

Jojoba I'd one of many siblings and in no way near the throne, thus she is carefree. She's also mama's favorite and they spend time together often. when not with her mother she is off watching races across the dunes and trading within markets. While Jojoba is outgoing and joyful she is haunted by the fact one of her sisters will kill their mother for the throne. She doesn't want to loose her mother and she knows she'll never very whoever does it the same.

Forestfire, skywing, he/him

Forestfire is a rather large firescales skywing. When he was born rumors and fear spread quickly. His parents paid an animus to make a rope, unable to be burned or broken, and tied it around their sons jaws to keep him from using his fire. They thought if he never used fire that the internal flame would just burn out and he'd become "normal". The rope did the opposite causing his flames to burn stronger and break through his scales to find some relief. The poor boy was then banished into the mountain and locked up for good. Forestfire now waits within the mountain growing angrier by the day waiting for a group of pseudo prophecy dragonets to stumble their way in and release him.

Art status: old ref, needs redo and will probably be removing the front horn it's a bit too hivewing

Fossil, mudwing, he/him

Fossil is a lost mudwing trying to find his family. He doesn't remember them but just has that gut feeling something is wrong. He is well liked within the mudwing villages and he drifts from troop to troop, feeling loved but not exactly fitting in

Wolfsbane, leafwing, he/him

A hired hand, will do anything for money kinda guy. He looks pretty intimidating so he hasn't really had to get violent on many of his jobs. Thinking of sticking this guy into my other mind au story

Art status: old-ish art, would like to give new ref but doesn't not need one immediately

Queen Sonne and Queen sunset, skywing and silkwing, both she/her

Two queens I made for an rp a long time ago that sadly didn't work out. They do have full refs but they are on bases rn and need redone.

Queen sonne of the skywings is an older more serious queen, she is known for being harsh and no nonsense.

Queen sunset of the silkwings is a very young queen. She was her mothers only daughter and her mother sadly passed early. Sunset is under constant pressure from a group of nobles each trying to dictate laws to their own interest. Sunset is currently trying to find her voice and looks up to queen Sonne a lot.

So there's a handful of my own ocs ❤️ some need to to be reworked and refs re drawn but I still love them

Also started re-reading the 2nd arc as I finally got my hands on the books and it has me thinking of my own Jade mountain winglet.

Icewing: Poinsetta, she/her, A glittering icewing who is pretty and knows it. Loves to collect and gets rather flirtatious. Can be boastful but is overall kind and always up for a spa day. Comes from an icewing village that wanted to send their very best so she has a bit of pressure on her shoulders.

Mudwing: Lillypad, she/her, A short standing mudwing covered in moss. She lost her sibling troop in the war she was recommended to the school by Argile. Very shy but has opened up to the others over time.

Nightwing: Echospeaker, she/her, Taller than average and with oddly light pink scales. Has some mindreading skill but only after she knows the dragons name. A strong silent type she has grown to loosen up by being away from her parents. They were the ones that sent her off to school.

Rainwing: Melon, she/her, a long bodied rainwing of vibrant colors. A very chatty gal but only with her winglet, not because shes shy but she does not like others. She gets introuble for her disgusted faces and shifting to annoyed colors at the other students. It takes a bit to get past this hard exterior. She heard of the school through sun time gossip.

Sandwing: Desert Rose, she/her, A large sandwing Animus. She has not really used her powers as she does not understand them. Shes rather playful when shes not worrying about school work. She lived in a village near the scorpion den, the den being where her parents heard of the school.

Seawing: Flamingo, she/her, Short but strong. She has a warm personaility and loves academics. She studies hard and hopes to be able to write her own scrolls one day. She heard about the school through seawing chatter.

Skywing: Dawn, she/her, a lean skywing with shimmering wings that radiate heat. She decorates herself with gold and is an avid lover of gemstones. As well as a good cooked meal. Daughter of a blacksmith she heard about the school after her dad gave some weaponry to it.

In my current word tensions are still very high due to the ongoing war. Though the current teachers of Jade mountain have kept the school open finding education to be important even in times of war.

Hi! I saw your oc interaction post and I had one! I think my oc, Reindeer and Argile would get along well. Reindeer's an ice/mud and she's very protective of her friends and family. I think they'd share stories but if you have any other ideas, go ahead!
