Recent dragon art + short story

yeah heres some recent dragon stuff and a lil story piece at the end. Please have mercy on my writing cause I was doing late at night without my glasses haha. I'm really not excited for the week I'm tired and I'm starting to fall into a depression again BUT! I am taking steps to make sure it doesn't get out of hand like past years so don't worry^^ anyways onto the art!

Babble is a rainwing scientist.

She is absolutely in love with knowledge and will go on and on about all that she knows to anyone who would listen.

Shes not too popular among other rainwings given her rambley chatterbox ways as they find her too be bit annoying at times but Babble trys not to let it get her down.

She is quite popular among dragonets as they are very curious and love to see what invention she is working on next

This is Discord. Hes an old old nightwing who has a monocle with the ability to switch between dimensions.

Discord is a grumpy stern dragon cause hes seen shit. He has a very dark outlook on life. He pushes others away due to the nagging fear of the balance of this dimension giving out.

Hes seen as a crazed old man by many. No one truly believes in his powers.

Discord is able to tell what dimension he is in by the number of moons on his wings.

2 moons is the most normal dimension he knows so he prefers staying here.

He used to travel through dimensions willy nilly because he found it fun and exciting. Till be saw stuff he shouldn't have and now he lives in a state of fear and dread.

“What would you do if I died?”

The old nightwing turned his gaze from the moons to the partner next to him.

The two sat on a cliff, in front of the entrance to a cave. The sky glittered with stars and danced with green auroras that seemed to caress the moons in the sky. A light, bitter breeze blew by pushing the patches of grass with a gentle hand.

“That's an odd question my dear.”

The others eyes gazed back; her scales glittered in the moonlight while she lay under the others wing.

“Im serious Discord,” she tilted her gaze to the moons “what would you do?”

Discord face fell from its amused look; he looked back towards the moons as well.

“I suppose I would look for you…. among the stars where you may dance, hiding behind the planets, possibly swimming within a nebula’s colorful hands. Every Night. Id fly to the tops of the mountains, past the clouds, so far up my wings ache and my lungs scream. I'd fly til the atmosphere stops me and whispers softly that I can't keep going. I’d take one final look and smile in hopes you might be looking back.”

Discord could feel the rare prickle of beginning tears.

“Though I rather not think about the day you leave me. Truly that is the day I will surely die myself.”

Discord turned to look at his companion.

She stared back with a silent gaze. Giving a sigh, she nuzzled closer to discord’s side. His wing draped softly over her back.

“I promise,” she started “I promise I won’t leave. Ever.”

Discord chuckled “Sweetheart you know you can’t promise that. Everyone leaves at some point; it's a part of life.”

She looked defiantly at him;

“Yes I will! I will stay out of the nebula's grasp, I will stand in front of the planets, I shall not dance with the stars as my talons will be busy griping to the atmosphere. I shall fight with the atmosphere to let me stay. He shall never be in such a quarrel like the one I will make!”

Discord laughed and leaned his head toward hers “I don’t doubt it.”

She leaned in a well and pressed her forehead against his. Shutting her eyes, she felt the warmth of his scales and the soft membrane of his wing against her side.

“Majesty?” Discord spoke softly “are you ok?”

Majesty’s breath hitched a tad but she continued without pause, “Yes of course.” She pressed closer, “Just...tired is all.”

“Then rest.” Discord slid his head down and wrapped his neck around hers, resting his head on her shoulder.

“You're right..” Majesty spoke softly and laid her head against his shoulder as well.

“I promise I wont leave.” Discord chuckled jokingly.

“Neither shall I.” Majesty smiled gently back as she shut her eyes.

^^Meaning behind the story:

I couldn't resist the thought "if majesty died would discord just hop into another dimension that still has her in it?" Truefully the answer is yes. Discord is a dragon that acts before he thinks. He would immediately send himself into a pickle of hopping dimension to dimension. Majesty doesnt know about his dimension hopping power so when discord answers that he would search for her hes being literal while majesty hears it as figurative

Big sci fi lore dump

@mango-water I never pass up an opportunity to explain my sci fi lore. I tried to sort the images into groups to better explain.

(first 5 images) So big chunk of this world started with an oc named plum who i made very quickly before a comic class. She works with the 7 vulpes who kinda keep the whole universe running. Shes from a planet that has been destroyed and she doesnt remember much of. The 7 vulpes work within our solar system as it is the least populated so staying hidden is easy, the hall of fox (5th photo) hides nicely here. Plum is the newest member as Neptune, her teacher, disappeared. The others arent fond of this as plum doesnt quite know what shes doing yet. Plums main weapon is a button that holds a bunch of evil creature souls, these souls bend and morph into any weapon she needs. While helpful this almost makes her greatest enemy the god of monsters (not shown in any images) Her other enemy is currently her husband Walter (3rd photo) as after the destruction of his planet and what he thought was the loss of his wife he fell to evil influences. Hes currently on a path of pure destruction and is loosing himself, he doesnt even know the hero who keeps stopping him is plum.

(images 6-9, slighty shown in image 12) Sun dogs! The strongest protectors of the galaxy... or at least they were before they grew so distant that many think of them as only legend now. Sun dogs are women from all planets and world chosen by the stars (a goddess like figure but she prefers not to be referred to as such, thinking of her as a mom is much prefered) Most of these sun dogs live on a hidden planet named Olvora but some like Elanor (girl in the 12th image and comic at the bottom) grow up on different planets and make their way to Olvora later. The queens (image 7) Lo'uk yel and Puk na' ashaya (names are from a vulcan name generator i have not made a language for the sun dogs yet lol) teenage friends turned lovers. Lo showed great leadership and skill quickly becoming the previous queens apprentice. Lo gained popularity quickly and Puk felt she needed to impress lo too, so she hopped in the ring and sadly bit off more than she could chew. It did lead to her confessing feelings tho. The two have a very professional royalty look but behind closed doors they still have a lot of alien cats and giggle over movies n romance books. Some other notable sun dogs include the blue robot lady (image 9, whos name i still need to pick out) she was badly injured and thought she had lost the ability to shift into her sun dog form forever but with some help from a cyborg she was able to regain the spirit she needed. The trapped sun dog (image 6, also needs a name) a long forgotten warrior who was captured a long time ago. She now powers a ship with a mysterious captain whos not up to anything good. Lastly theres the torn one whom we will get into later

(images 10 and 11) Sonia and Ovvus. Sonia was the first human to make contact with others. Her first contact being with Ovvus a head scientist and communications officer on one of system x's many exploring fleets. The two are how the other planets got info on humans and how humans got info on the other planets. Earths government isnt very fond of system x nor the other planets and has stayed to itself, while many humans have left the planet and moved due to distrust in the earthly government. (on earth everything has kinda melded into one government and if you have money you have the loudest voice in choices. Many have found that exploration, invention, and creativity have haulted in favor of profit.) The two recently had a son, Orion, which has become everything their life revlolves around. The two rarely go on months long exploration jobs any more and stay on Torbin in their little farm home.

(images 12-14) System X! A big piece of the entire lore. All started on lined paper in my sophmore year math class. The mother planet (the biggest one) has the other 4 planets revolving around it. in order: Geutune (the dusty eye), Torbin (the green planet), Dostruga (the hungry giant), and Zinus (the icy planet). each unique in there own way. The system of planets moves throughout the universe absorbing stars, destroying enemy fleets with ease, and overall being a pretty intimidating force. Thankfully leadership on system x has always kept fair and does its best to provide for its citizens. Each planet has a ruler but those rulers report to the sovereign on the mother planet. Most if not all of the rulers have a council elected by the citizens of each planet.

(images 15-18) Qex are originally from the mother planet and are still the most populous on the planet. When designing them they had a opossum and nebula influence. Zets originate from Geutune. Their legs are built for sand and speed which comes in handy on the dusty planet constantly whipped by wind. As you can tell they are very rabbit based lol. Drok originate from Dostruga and they had a dragon and octopus inflence. Dostruga has a lot of giant creatures and plants making muscles and extra appendages a must. Drok use their tendril hair to express and pick up things often. Thron originate from Zinus. was thinking about unicorns and horses when making them. They often have a lot of hair to keep warm on the icy planet, the extra claws help to grab onto snow, and their horns can glow when they need light. (not pictured below) but the Tez'le originate from torbin. They have anntenna and 4 arms. Very bug based to match their plant covered planet

(images 19-21) Some concept pieces of various things. Otherworldly battle horses with sci fi armor. Sun eaters, a species of mindless beasts that devour suns. A big threat to the universe as they are giant and unstoppable. The only known weakness they have is sun dogs. Usually these beasts are solitary so they dont pose too much of a threat other than the occassional attack on a sun that is warming a planet, but in groups they are very destructive. Walter, plums husband, is currently pushing these beasts toward each other, creating a giant hoard of them. Theres no telling how many stars this group will be able to devour. A dragon warship. The concept art was made for a different planets warship but it might become a design for a system x style one

(all the last images) A comic I made in my last comic class i could attend. its a 12 page thing so I couldnt fit it all here but this is where the sun dog plot line is currently left off. The torn one is a sun dog general who was sucked into a blackhole but managed to escape its grasp. not without injury though. Her features were enlongated and her old heroic leader self was gone. The general turned on her troops and destroyed them all. She was unable to be stopped due to her unstable core which could go supernova any second. Elanor wasnt fully aware of this and fought the sun dog anyways. The battle worked up the torn one enough that her core couldnt sustain her and blew up.

Introducing the elders of hollowclan. Ashtooth and Deadbranch.

So back in their time there was a big war between the clans deadbranch was born in hollow clan and fought for hollowclan ashtooth was in mountain clan who was allied with hollowclan at the time. The two met during the battles and became good friends. Ashtooth knew he loved deadbranch and was very open about telling him deadbranch on the other hand denied his own feelings for ashtooth for a long time due to his hateful upbringing. After the war between the clans ended the two were separated for a long time til grumblestar came to power and ashtooth fled from mountain clan. Ashtooth arrived in hollowclan and was accepted on the fact he fought for the clan in that war. When deadbranch first saw ashtooth again he flipped out into a full gay panic as old feelings reemerged he avoided ashtooth like the plague. Fianlly ashtooth managed to talk to deadbranch and deadbranch finally admitted his feelings. The two became mates and life was pretty peachy from there. They even raised a daughter, starlingbelly, after her parents were lost to a patch of quick sand.

Deadbranch is a grumpy guy who always has something to complain about. Hes terrible at expressing emotions and cant seem to shake his parents harsh ways but he tries his hardest and that's all that matters. He is a very protective father of starlingbelly and will proudly admit that

Ashtooth is a chill dude who has wise advice for every situation hes a good ear if you need someone to talk to. Occasionally tho he tends to go on rants or say something silly in a time to be serious. Hes also a proud papa and was always there to pick his daughter up when she fell.

And yes they both cried when starlingbelly was picked to be deputy.

Give a warm grin to Hollypaw the canopyclan medicine apprentice.

Shes a sickly albino gal. Hollypaw is highly sensitive to sunlight and doesn't go out much during sunny days. Shes not expected to make it much further than her young adult years given her unknown disease that she somehow cant shake and is progressively getting worse

Hollypaw was part of a prophecy mushroomnose saw ultimately making her the med apprentice.

Mushroomnose trys to uplift hollypaw and promise her warm futures but holly keeps a pretty pessimistic view.

Hollypaw doesn't really enjoy hanging with her mentors she prefers getting into trouble with the other apprentices and especially likes meeting with other clans apprentices.

Hollypaw has a fun loving you only live once bad bitch attitude. Shes not afraid to back talk anyone no matter who they were

Hollypaw loves collecting berries but sucks at storing them or even carrying them. They always squish under her paws. She then gets frustrated and runs her head causing the juices to dye her white fur and make it sticky.

Introducing Eggleg, the future medicine cat of evergreenclan. Her name rn is Eggpaw but future name is eggleg.

Egg is a shy gal who's very passionate about her position. She loves herbs but struggles with remembering their exact names so she usual just says "that pink one." Or "the one that burns my nose." Honeybubble is trying to help her cause this could not work in the long run.

Egg is very close friends with Hollypaw finding her confidence to be inspiring. She looks up to holly alot.

Gorsepaw of hollowclan has a bit of a crush on her but sadly Egg does not feel the same. Egg is a little weirded out by gorse given his over confindece in everything

Overall egg just loves being a med cat and loves stargazing at night.

this is starlingbelly. A strong willed and promising future leader. She doesnt remember her bio parents but she loves her dads. She grew up with very wise and protective fathers so she was destined for the stars 

Headcanon: her voice sounds like clarice starling from silence of the lambs

Mothpaw is a spunky gal of full attitude and playful spirit. Her mentor is Moondrop. She is constantly butting heads with the old warrior given their very similar nature. Skunkjaw always jokes around with moonpaw to help lighten the mood between the two.

Mothpaw likes skunk and really looks up to him. Mothpaw does like her mentor but in a big sister/mother way where you'll never say it out loud.

Mothpaw is not big believer of starclan due to the constant confusion of her mother running off one night and never returning. She believed starclan would bring her back but they never did so she kinda resents them for it.

Mothpaw hates talking about tough things like her mom or her feelings on starclan so she is seen as very immature and always joking around.

viruswing main characters

Our main gal Calamity. Daughter of brightmind and silverscales. Her father recently passed along with her grandfather Darkstone in a mysterious explosion.

Her mother is extremely superstitious. She won't walk under ladders, cross paths with a black cat, place two mirrors facing each other. Etc. While she won't exactly tell her daughter Calamity knows she believes her to be bad luck.

Calamity's life has been boring as she stays in the background going along with whatever her mother wanted. Her grandfather was her best friend for a long time. Now Silvescales is wanting her to marry which is something Calamity hadn't even imagined. Good thing she has 3 mysterious robots to distract her... hey wait-

Muskeg the cyborg. Has bits n pieces from all tribes. Most recent piece being a mechanical eye from a nightwing. He doesn't exactly know why he keeps loosing bits n pieces of his body, he just knows he's constantly replacing them. A gut from seawings, back leg from icewings, heart from the rainwings, an arm from the mudwings, and he used to have wings from skywings... but those go for a lot of gold in the sandwing kingdom.

Overall the story will be following these two as they work toward the mystery behind these viruswing creation and hopefully stopping the hungry creatures from destroying all of dragonkind

Welcome to my cubicle, Im whiteeyes but you can also call me Gab (as my insta is gabopedia) Im an artist and occasional writer who is mainly interested in comics, sci fi, dragons (wings of fire mainly), and cats. Funfact my username comes from a knock off herobrine oc I made a LONG time ago, the username just stuck and I never changed it.

Currently in online college for a game art and design degree but really if i can make my job anything art related i will be content. Funny enough I currently have a job at an art shop. Not a lot of hours but still. Commissions are still my main job tho and I enjoy them a lot. <3
