One of my favorite moments in all of TBB remains that part of Cut and Run where Tech comes up with a wild idea and then just,
proceeds with it. No checking in before, no 'hey anyone need anything off the ship before I impound it'. Presumably because Echo is there with him, and it seems like Tech considers Echo to be the Reasonablish One (lol). Since Echo didn't attempt to stop him it must be fine!
Spoilers, it's not fine. Hunter's reaction says 'this is not the first time this has happened, will not be the last, he is going to age ten years from this incident alone'.
But Tech is like it's fine, Hunter! I thought it through, Echo was right here listening to me think it through and he had no objections, so this is a fool proof idea.
Also I love that he TOTALLY IGNORES Hunter's objection.
I like to think this scene has played itself out in at least ten variations over the course of their lives.
Also Cut watching all of this like 'hahaha never change y'all are so insane' and Wrecker like 'oh boy here we go again'.
Din: Says some insane cult-y things Bo-Katan: ๐ This might be the Way? ๐
rex doing his dramatic little identity reveal every time he meets someone. the way he flips the hood of his cloak back just screams "i used to work alongside a number of sassy jedi and boy did they loooove being all mysterious behind their droopy fucking robes"
he definitely picked that shit up from ahsoka who learned it from anakin who learned it from the one and only obi-wan kenobi. they're a lineage of drama queens.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......
I think Soup Clone might be my [old] new favorite meme.
Captain Rex (The King)
I've throughly enjoyed watching his character development since 2008.
He literally strangled his pregnant wife with the force bc she brought obi wan with her to tell anakin to NOT slaughter the Jedi.
He would totally would ๐๐ญ
"Not all men..."
You're right. Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight, son of Shmi Skywalker, The Chosen One, wouldn't treat me like this.
i can't stop thinking about Cross checking in on Omega and offering advice she already knows. Not only because it's so sweet, but ever since I saw it for the first time, I just felt like Crosshair was just repeating things his brothers used to tell him in their own cadet/early war days.
I can imagine Hunter asking Crosshair, the "youngest", "You good?" after a crash landing. I can hear Tech's voice asking him "Got your rifle?" in place of "Got your crossbow?", just to make sure. I just know Wrecker has asked "Sure you can carry those supplies?" to him, in case he doesn't want to ask for help but will take it up on offer.
I think he added the "Stay close, it's easy to get lost in this terrain" on his own accord. That's why he's much worse. He's all of them combined into one.
I have a very silly completely unserious headcanon that the answer to the question about whether โTechโ is short for โTechnologyโ or โTechnicallyโ is, โYes.โ Techโs full name is Technician Technology Technically Technetium-99 Medtech Badbatch. He adds a new middle name every few years.
my favorite genre is clones meeting jedi for the first time and dealing with weird force shit. the whole concept of space wizards/monks being military leaders is so funny when u think about it.
just imagine you're a soldier since birth. you're trained to be logical and strategic. then your commanding officer struts in with no armor like "okay we're doing this battle battle plan cuz it came to me in a dream last night!" or "be alert. i'm getting bad vibes." and u can't say anything bc it's ur commanding officer but ur internal monologue is just 'what the fuck what the fuck what the-'
