Mini version of Galaxy S5 will be water-resistant

Samsung's latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S5 is already on sale around the world. At the same time the company works on the miniature version of the device to go up against the HTC M8 Mini and Sony Xperia Z1 Compact at the market of mini-flagship smartphones.

As expected the Galaxy S5 Mini is not very different to what we heard earlier. It will feature a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels (pixel density: 326ppi), 16GB of internal storage with a MicroSD slot that support the cards of up to 32GB and 1.5GB of RAM. Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will receive a quad-core chipset 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, 8MP rear camera and a 2MP camera in front.

Mini-flagship has got a 2100mAh battery, Google OS Android 4.4.2 KitKat with TouchWiz UI on top of it. For the New Zealand market the handset also got IP67 certification that will make the device water-resistant at least in that region. Samsung launched the mini version of their Galaxy S5.

HTC launched the flagship smartphone M8

The Taiwanese company HTC named a new flagship smartphone HTC M8. It is similar to Galaxy S5 and LG G3 and is one of the most anticipated mobile devices of the year.

According to preliminary information HTC M8 got a 5-inch display with a resolution of FullHD. The foundation of the device is a single-chip quad Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with 2.3GHz and Adreno 330 graphics processor. Complements the composition 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal flash memory. The standard amount of memory can be expanded by MicroSD memory card.
