Penny (anonymously) writes to Councilman Arc, asking if self-aware robots have the same protected rights as humans and faunas. Jaune doesn't know if this is a joke, a dig at his equality measures, or a serious question, but he signs it into law either way. Ironwood has a panic-attack worrying if Jaune has spies in Atlas.

Ironwood was panicking again.

It was about Councilman Arc, again.

And it was about him enforcing equality, again!

...well, the equality bit was not exactly panic-worthy, but what exactly he wrought recently certainly was.

Thing is, the young Arc had just signed into law that any form of advanced AI had the same rights as humans and faunus, as they likely possessed self-awareness, thus sentience and sapience, and should be treated fairly. It was introduced in anticipation of likely progress in the field of computer science.

The fact was that Jaune had done so after receiving a letter from Penny Polendina, secretly a gynoid, where she hoped for a positive answer. he had simply gone through with it.

James Ironwood, however, did not know that.

Hence the panic.

I always thought Cinder's 'tournament outfit' was underappreciated for how simple it was.

Blake’s outfit really got on my nerves and after like year I finally decided to let me just....redesign it for shits & giggles.

Explanation: So I wanted to stick to the rules of RWBY & make her outfit consistent with using her Volume 1 outfit as an example.

So in volume 1 she has this French allude inspire coat with sharp ends & I wanted to keep that part of the look but long & with fur edges. I actually do like how Ein Lee made made the inside of the coat purple & I wanted to keep that.

The next part is her catsuit. So in volume one, she’s wearing white shorts with zippers & a white crop top. I decided that since the coat covers the upper part the cat suit her legs really need to stick out against it & since it’s basically her shorts, but longer I decided to keep it how it was, just make it white.

I kept the knee pads & her boots black because she’s the black character & needs more black. I’m also determine to remind people know that her secondary color is purple not white. White is her third color. Which is why I kept the purple of Einlee’s design of Blake’s shoes into my own. I also made her fur that ugly manve purple she was wearing in volume 4 through 6. The grays and the gold ARE an accent color to her. (The gray in Ein Lee’s design should have never taken up so much of it like girl wtf.) So I tried to minimize it by just leaving it at the zippers. However since she’s dating Yang now I guess I wanted to add more gold/yellow to her outfit. The gold chain on her back though is suppose to represent Sun since both Yang & Sun came in & change Blake’s life for the better. Also I left the belt white because I didn’t want her back to look completely back. But yeah.

In a perfect AU, Blake cuts her hair during her fight with Adam. Not during the Atlas montage or whatever.

We could return to Argus? It’s separate, but still has Atlas-tier defense.

Whitley said the carriers are going to transport the civilians in the crater to safety but like where is safety whitley??? Where are you sending them??? Explain, child.

Blake: Ruby please. You need to call Team JNPR over. We’ll need to cuddle them for, for warmth when it gets cold tonight...

Weiss: BLAKE LET GO OF ME!

Blake: *Tugging on Weiss’s skirt* TELL THEM THEY NEED TO BRING FOOD WITH THEM! NIGHTS ARE WAY LONGER DURING WINTER!

Yang: Damn it guys!! Who left the catnip out again!? You know Blake isn’t allowed near it unsupervised!

Blake: *On cloud 69*

I half want it to go like:

JNR Runs into Cinder again while Atlas is going to hell.

Jaune and Cinder end up tug-o-warring the lamp.

Jaune: Seriously! Why are you like this!?

Jinn: Well since you want to know...

And Jaune (and Nora & Ren (and Neo?)) get Tragic Backstory poured into their ears.

Could even play the long game with it, have it shown that they get told about it in the middle of action, but save anything but reactions and hints to the audience until things calm down again. Heck, you can have Team JNR narrate Cinder’s backstory to Team RWBY (and the audience), even have them still keeping some things hidden.

Jaune: And then, Salem found her...

Nora: Well, before that there was-

Jaune: Salem found her, Nora!

I remember hearing once that Cinder isn’t Ruby’s villain, she’s Jaune’s (and JNPRs as a whole), and I’ve only believed it more since. And having JNR seeing Cinder’s past like RWBY saw Salem’s would pretty much prove it permanently for me.

Sudden thought, think we'll learn Cinder's past in flashbacks like Ren and Nora's? Or that the heroes or one or two heroes will actually be told it or learn of it?

Both, but also neither.

If you’re born an Arc, or if you’re adopted by an Arc, or if you marry an Arc, Salem’s your grandma now.

Generation doesn't matter, Adrian, Saphron, Terra, the Arc parents, Salem is ‘Grandma’.

Some say she’s been a part of the Arc family since before Crocea Mors was forged, some say she forged it herself...

In councilman arc, is Salem jaune’s grandma on his mother’s side or his father’s?

I...don’t actually care to determine that, honestly.

We can all agree that after Jacques, Willow is gonna be suuuper wary of people approaching her, right ? Always wondering if they're interested in her for her or for her family name.

You know who she wouldn't have to wonder about that with ?

Raven "my semblance literally tells you if you're one of the select few I actually care about" Branwen.

Picture this : Raven comes to help with the kids, Willow gets her shit together and helps in the fight as well, then they both go to the "Being a Good Mom 101" classes together and help each other unlearn all that shit that got stuck in their brains over the years (Raven doesn't know how to care for her kid and show it, Willow used to know and can help her take the first few steps while Willow probably has super low self-esteem and doesn't believe she can make things better with her kids and Raven can encourage and support her and give her the kick in the ass she needs to start mending her relationship with the Schneeblings)

And then as they do all that they grow closer and start Feeling Things™ for each other, but Willow always has this little voice in her mind reminding her that it could all be a plot to take her company and family from her all over again and she can't make it stop UNTIL

One day

Willow is feeling distressed because Bad Day and maybe a panic attack or something ? I can see her having those when she first gets the SDC back and has to learn how to run it while trying to stay sober and she'll just feel so much pressure on her it'll make it hard to breathe. Anyway, panic attack when she's all alone and no one can help but SUDDENLY a portal opens and out comes Raven, all worried and stuff and Raven helps Willow calm down and then it hits Willow.

Raven has a portal to her.

They have a bond.

Something Raven can only develop with people she cares about deeply.

Which means she cares about Willow deeply.

She cares about Willow for who she is, not her family name.

And all of a sudden, Willow feels like a weight has been lifted off of her shoulders and she can breathe more easily.

And the future looks just a little bit brighter.
