I was doing some research. realized that a lot of the cities we see in Mistral around Vol. 4 are named after Japanese flowers. Do some digging, find out they are all a part of the Language of Flowers.

I WONDER where we should meet Neo? Is there a name that might work well for someone hiding out, dealing with their grief alone while also slowly making her way to Mistral without any help?

Tsubaki, or the White Camellia, means “waiting”  When I say I nearly screamed in symbolism and excitement….

Now we seriously need a Team RNNJR Neo outfit.

And maybe a different Atlas one.

I don’t know what I’d do for either.

Consider: An AU where RNJR encounter Neo on the way to Mistral. After a tense standoff, they convince her that Cinder is her true target and that Ruby shouldn't be blamed for Roman's death. She reluctantly allies with them and then starts to realize she and the blonde one have a surprising amount in common. Against all odds, they bond over their shared past, goals, and maybe even find comfort in each other when emotions run high

You are describing my perfect version of the best Silent Knight AU timeline. Neo was already on her vendetta on Cinder. And a quick explanation by Ruby that it was a Grimm that killed him would only strengthen her resolve. And make a nice new hatred towards Grimm in time to help RNJR fight the Nuckelavee. 

Bonus points if Neo catches Jaune training alone in the woods and confronts him. After hearing him out, Neo suggests she help Jaune train late at night.

Then at Haven, I think Neo really could have helped Jaune break out of his fatalistic drive to fight Cinder. He was ready to kill her or be killed. But after Weiss gets hurt and Cinder escapes, I think Neo and Jaune would have AMPLE time to talk about their trauma and feelings. 

Can you imagine RNJR meeting Neo again after Beacon and seeing her in her torn up clothes, damaged parasol, and bowler hat? And while everyone else gears up to fight her Jaune just stares at her hat while he holds onto Pyrrha’s sash???

Three live for One

Elm: Trading three lives for one is stupid.

Jaune: But why do you care?

Harriet: Because its stupid.

Jaune: We’re criminals Harriet and we’re basically risking our live to save one of our own. So again, why should you care for what happens to us?

Elm: You’re still young.

Jaune: Yet James, your general, hired us as hunters.

Harriet: But-

Jaune: Plus, if we go in and get Oscar, we might have plenty out time to get the relic we lost. Which has one last question remaining. Do you really want Salem or any her members to use it?

Vine: Hm, I see where he’s going.

Harriet: Vine, don’t be stupid. 

Vine: Harriet, our job was to find Penny.

Harriet: Again, they’re want fugitives. Traitors!

Ren: So why are you bringing us in alive?

Harriet: James order us to.

Ren: Harriet. You know, James will shoot us? Like five of us, he’ll keep Ruby, Yang and Weiss  alive but the rest of us… yeah, not a chance.

Elm: He’s not wrong.

Harriet: ELM?!

Elm: Harriet, Qrow killed Clover yet James, didn’t bother to end his life when he heard what happened.  

Harriet: Well, shit. They win.

Winter: Good. You’re not entirely an idiot. Drop us down Marrow.

Marrow: Yes ma'am.

Winter: And Mr. Arc?

Jaune: Ma'am?

Winter: Are you-?

Jaune: No, trust me, not happening.

Winter: Understood.

Eventually Jaune and Ren have to work together to make the Remnant version of Soylent, just a milkshake with as much nutrients in it as they can sneak in.

Both girls get a 2-3 inch growth spurt within a few weeks of semi-healthy nutrition, unfortunately it’s too late to get much more than that in height.

Neo and Nora get along cause nothing taste better on pancakes then Icecream.

Some friendships are built on mutual understanding and care. And some friendships are built on breakfast foods.

I might be in the minority where I hope none of the ‘main girls’ become Maidens.

Ever since it was introduced Maidenhood has screamed ‘more trouble than it’s worth’ to me. You get a bit of a power boost but you still lose fights, and everyone now wants to find or fight you. You end up a over-pressured and paranoid mess.

Penny, honestly, was the one exception they could have convinced me on, it serves her arc in a way they couldn’t do most other ways, and they handled it’s effects well, through Fria’s choice through this episode.

It also seems a bit too obvious? Nora less so because the most obvious would be Team RWBY all getting magic.

Can we leave the Winter maiden Nora theory in V7 where it died? Y'all are really hoping Penny dies just so your personal fav can get a power up.

Penny's not dying again, she's already a real girl, and her arc would make no sense if she lost the powers. She'd be running from her conflict, not resolving it.

Nora already has an arc about identity issues and giving her the responsibilities of a maiden would make that worse. Let her figure out who she is as an individual.

Why not start basic. How/When do you imagine them meeting?

I mean there’s a couple ways I enjoy it. Thw first one I think quite a few people have mentioned this way already.

They could meet after the fall at some point.

Jaune finds out Neo really only wants revenge. She’s convinced by the group to join their side because really it is Cinder’s fault. She continues on her revenge thing for a while. Then comes these late evenings, where its just Neo and Jaune, they communicate, and he tries to get through to her that he has gone through the same thing. The only thing it managed to do is get him in a bad situation and someone he cares about hurt.

She’s stubborn though, and she only cared about one other person. It doesn’t get through to her. He doesn’t stop, to her annoyance. She keeps her distance from the group, but she slowly gets dragged in by them to hangout. She ends up hanging around JNR more, however it is still awkward.

They manage to get her to smile, not a smirk but a genuine smile. She starts noticing and denying how close she is getting with them, specifically Jaune. It’s when she notices one day that as they’re all walking together she skipped forward and latched onto Jaune’s arm. She doesn’t know how long she was holding it for, but when she realizes what she is doing she jerks away.

She goes back to her distancing again. Jaune gets the worst of it. This goes on for a bit as he attempts to figure out what happened. Sometime later in a battle, Neo is too eager for a fight, and it leads to Jaune getting knocked out of it. For the first time in a long while, Neo’s heart jumps out of fear. She can’t control herself as she finds her body running towards him and holding him.

It’s at that moment she realizes what Jaune was trying to convince her. When the fight is clear and over with she stays by him until he’s better. When he comes to Neo is there to greet him, and she’s so ecstatic he is alright. She jumps in his lap, and he groans of pain. She smile at that before getting angry at him for making her worry. The next thing she knows shes kissing him, hard, and finally admits to herself that she cares about someone else. She jumps off his lap afterwards, and leave the room with him in shock. If he wants her, he’s gonna have to stand up and get her.

The other way is just that they meet up when Neo was pretending to be a student during the festival. And I won’t go to big into detail on that.

But this blog exists in it’s own universe cause I probably will reference being at beacon a bit.
