I love when my dreams continue. Like, the dream ended before the story was over and I’m really bummed out. But then, whether it’s that night, the next night, or a hundred nights later, I return to the dream and the story continues. It’s been years since I’ve visited some, but i know I’ll recognize them if I return, and I’ll be glad to see my friends again. Sometimes dreams are in the same storyline, just at different times and places.
The weirdest part is that when I have these dreams, I almost always feel like some outside entity is trying to communicate with me. It’s not that I feel like the dreams aren’t mine. It’s more like my mind has touched something else and we created the dreamscape together.
I like when my dreams reuse locations from past dreams. like oh cool we doin a bottle episode
It’s shit like this that plunges me back in the depths of post-series depression.
This might just be my favorite human Bill.
My take on human Bill Cipher!! (Aka: my new brainrot is gravity falls)
You know, it's kinda funny how much of high fantasy centers around kings and nobility and courtly intrigue considering that the archetypal high fantasy, Lord of the Rings, had the rather explicit moral of "saving the world is up to this backwater hick and his gardener because no politician, least of all inherited nobility, would have the ability to see past their own ambition and throw away a weapon". Oh sure, Aragorn is a great king and all, but there's a reason he's over there running a distraction ring while the hobbits do the real work. Sauron loses because he gets distracted by kings and armies and great battles (i.e. typical high fantasy stuff) letting Frodo and Sam sneak through his back door and blow it all to hell.
Just saying, maybe old Jirt knew what he was saying when he said that the small folk doing their best and holding to each other was more powerful than a dozen alliances and superweapons and we should respect him for it.
Ok so my kid had an ear infection, right? As kids often do.
The doctor scraped out a bit of earwax to have a better look inside.
I was sent a bill for $200 PER EAR for this 5 second procedure which I did not give permission for them to do.
That was key- they did not ASK me if they could do this "procedure". And, as I OWN a medical practice (it's me. The medical practice is me, sitting in my house on video calls) I knew to call them when this bill came in to be like "You did not obtain informed consent for this procedure, and it was not en emergency procedure. You had full ability to gain my consent and didn't. I'm not paying."
And the massive hospital who owned the bill said "yuh-huh you do have to pay."
And I said "I own a practice. I know these laws. I do not owe you money for this."
And they conducted an "internal review" and SURPRISE! Decided I totally owed them money and they had never done anything wrong ever.
And so I called my state's Attorney General office, and explained the situation because, as I mentioned, I know the law. The AG got in touch within a couple days to say they were taking the case and would send the massive hospital conglomerate a knock it off, guys letter.
Lo and Behold, today I have a letter where said hospital graciously has agreed to forfeit the payment.
"How not to get screwed over by companies" should be part of civics class.
Know your rights and know who to call when they're infringed on. This whole process cost me $0 and honestly less effort than I would have expected.
May this knowledge find its way to someone else who can use it.
If you see this on your dashboard, reblog this, NO MATTER WHAT and all your dreams and wishes will come true.

You have one super power: The ability to know without fail what the truth is to any asked question. You planned to help the world as a super hero. It took you six hours for the government to declare you public enemy number one and the most deadly super villain alive.
I love Dungeon Meshi. So much.

America has a weird relationship with cults where they’re terrified of small cults (or organizations they think are cults) but completely normalized massive cults that hurt many more people (eg: LDS Church, Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Amish, Scientology, most Megachurches)
This basically describes my relationship with the character of Jonathan Sims
kill 'character did nothing wrong'. nurture 'character did everything wrong and i was whooping and cheering the whole time'
No, but this is so real! A big factor in whether or not I’m attracted to someone is how they smell, and hoo boy if they smell nice and they get close to me I’m never sure if I’ll survive the experience
you ever get gay aggression? i have been talking to this girl for a bit now and have been going feral every time i see her. we hug every time we greet each other and i deadass just feel like an animal smelling this bitch's perfume. here is how the conversation went:
her: "omg hi" *hugs*
me: "hi lol" *inhales aggressively like my life depends on it*

I think this sums it up beautifully! It’s not about fitting society’s beauty standards, it’s about self respect, being aware of how you present yourself, and, most importantly, taking care of yourself, and that shows
i wish more women knew beauty is an energy. it’s not about fitting the beauty standard so much as it is that tender care for your body and effort put into your outward appearance (hygiene, grooming, personal style and having fun with it) creates a magnetic energy. it tells people to regard you as important because you prioritise time and energy spent solely on yourself. it doesn’t even have to be about appearance at all if it’s not of interest - notice the same energy in people who are very skilled at something, who took the time to be great, who invested into themselves through passion and self-respect. sometimes fitting the beauty standard does help our goals, but you’d be surprised how little it can matter once you focus your energy on how you present yourself regardless of the standards. move from a place of pleasure and passion and watch it all come together.
And even if it is your native language, you’ll still have an accent! There’s so much variety in how people speak the same language, down (past Boston, London, Appalachian, Scottish, etc.) to the individual person, and that’s beautiful.
Controversial opinion of the day: It’s okay to have accents. It’s not your native language. If they make fun of you that’s messed up.
I think I might have the spreadsheet autism. I’m supposed to be writing a paper, but I ended up procrastinating by creating a spreadsheet detailing by how much each state’s minimum wage fails to support basic costs of living.
I don’t know what else he may have done, but for this I consider him a hero worth remembering. Rest in peace, Milton Diamond.
Pour one out for a real one.
I don’t like when people belittle other people’s interests by calling it a phase. Yeah, maybe it is, but that’s okay! What matters is their interest now.
Same thing kind of applies to identity, but in that case all I can say is that we are all constantly discovering ourselves. I don’t think a single person out there knows all there is to know about themself. We should be and feel free to connect, identify, and label ourselves based on our current self knowledge.
“what if kids identify with something and it ends up just being a phase-?” good. stop teaching and expecting kids (and adults honestly) to formulate permanent traits and ideas of themselves. everything in life is a phase. that doesn’t make it any less legitimate while you experience it. let people explore themselves and know it’s okay if what you think about yourself changes.
Loving that last line! I hadn’t ever thought of self-care as investing in myself, but it makes so much sense
stop ignoring yourself. fix your posture, get a new hair cut, do your nails, take care of your skin, brush your teeth, drink water, eat foods that give you energy. get strong, stop looking sloppy. when you feel good, you do good. invest in yourself.
Appreciation post with every single Taylor Room I've done so far! 💛💜❤️🩵🩷🩶🤎💙🤍
The Taylor Swift Room and the Reputation Room won't be done until we have their Taylor's Version re-release (it would only be fair!).
My first soundtrack album, Oh Boy! is out now! It is for a disco version of Hamlet (seriously) and I drew inspiration from ELO, David Bowie, Abba, of Montreal, Late of the Pier, Rod Stewart (yes), Bee Gees, Kate Bush and even a little Eno, Nine Inch Nails and Philip Glass (half the album is instrumental score and it's the weird half).
(If you don't wanna hear some out there instrumental score skip to track 2 😅💖)
