me and my undying urge to be someone’s favorite
Bpd related question:
(Ik I'm sorry, I should stop asking but...)
Can you please list bpd symptoms? Because I want to write that tracker but I forgot like half of the things which are bpd criteria and which are things everyone is experiencing...
Thank you (and sorry for bothering you)

Sure thing, no need to apologize, you aren't bothering us!! /g
Idolizing/devaluing
Splitting
Black & white thinking
Dissociation
Paranoia or delusions
SH and related things (i think that mental self harm counts too) (i.e., replaying bad memories to upset yourself, purposely triggering yourself, etc.)
Impulsive or reckless behavior
Mood swings
Chronic emptiness & boredom
Extreme anger
Inherent sense that you're "bad" or "evil"
Those are some of the main ones i think are both worth tracking and can be relatively easier to track as opposed to other symptoms. I hope this helps some :0!!!

bpd culture is someone ur friends with making a mean joke to you lightheartedly and getting genuinely upset about it for weeks to months
.
Autistic BPD culture is seeing a character in a tv show/movie that you are obsessed with, and getting so overwhelmed by the emotions you feel when you see them that it triggers a meltdown (just happened)

BPD CULTURE IS wishing that non-bpd people would understand how 90% of what people consider to be "manipulative behavior" from us is literally just.. us expressing emotions. Me expressing how I feel guilty for being so draining and apologizing for how I behave on bad days (ex: ghosting, or meltdowns) is not so I can win your affection or pity, it's literally just so I can explain how I feel in a way that you can understand me better..
It gets so tiring when everytime I try to express my own guilt and shame about my disorder I get accused of "guilt tripping" "manipulating" or "being attention seeking" instead of actually being recognized for how I feel.
Like, c'mon guys.. I'm a person too.. I'm allowed to be sad and feel lonely and feel guilty and I should deserve the same comfort/to be heard as much as someone without BPD 🥲

BPD culture is wanting to know who your fp is talking to and if they're talking about you, and if, god forbid, they are, what they're saying, at all times, because you're so scared they're secretly telling their friends how much they hate you.
And you also want to know when they go out and with who, so you don't have to find out from other people that they went out with mutual friends and didn't invite you, so you can stop feeling like they don't want you around.

Borderline culture is drowning in guilt, but not really wanting to change because you believe it's penance for hurting people

you should not blame someone for needing constant reassurance, some of us have been treated so poorly in the past that we forget people can actually love us. Reassurance costs you nothing but your time
