When BoJack Horseman (2014-2020) said "you can't keep doing shitty things and then feel bad about yourself like that makes it ok. you need to be better" and "all we have are the connections we make" and "I really should've thought about the view from halfway down" and "sometimes you have to take responsibility for your own happiness" and "you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, you turn yourself around, THAT'S what it's all about" and "things have to get worse before they can get better" and "in real life, the big gesture isn't enough, you need to be consistent" and "if we hadn't met each other until now, we wouldn't be the people we are now" and, my personal favourite, "every day it gets a little easier, but you gotta do it every day, that's the hard part, but it does get easier".
LITERALLY GONNA CRY
Gotta love overprotective good grandpa Rick
Literally sobbing
WHAT.
IF.
The "Rick Experiment" is a meta thing.
As in, the whole show being an exploration of Rick's character, the creators seeking an answer to a question; a trial in progress with us viewers as the judge:
"Can a person with Rick's failings be redeemed?"
Every week, somebody gets on here and posts "oh my god i think i'm attracted to rick sanchez what's wrong with me" like they're the only person who feels that way. But people attracted to Rick are so prolific that they have their own title: Rick fuckers.
I mean, have you ever seen that in a fandom? Fandoms have names for themselves, but I've never seen a term like "Stark fucker" or whatever. "Monster fucker" is the closest one, which is pretty much the same thing, lmao.
Idiots in Love
Friendly reminder if Rick fucking Sanchez, is able to change, even if it's by becoming less of a horrible person, you can too!
