I can imagine sirius making a compilation of all the times he has caught James walking into something/falling because someone stole his glasses (normally sirius or Marlene but occasionally Mary or Remus when their in that mood) and its like 20 minutes long and that's only the ones caught on camera, he's done it like triple that amount of times

*facepalms*

Remus: James, where are you exactly?

James: I got lost.

Remus: yeah, no shit sherlock. can you tell me the street name?

James: no, but there’s a cloud that looks like a lion.

Remus: can you be more specific???

James: Simba.

My dad was dealing with some mixed feelings so I told him "In therapy when something is too complicated to do a simple 'pro and contra list' we sometimes do an excercise where you imagine all these mixed feelings around a table in some kind of conference, letting each tell their bit and you leading the debate."

and my dad didn't really respond and just stared ahead so I kept preparing lunch. Until a few minutes later when he suddenly piped up: "I am having a bad time at the conference"

Guys, you know the whole “James’ type is people who are mean to him” thing?

I think it’s because they make him feel like a real person.

I am forever pushing the “James struggles with feeling like a real person agenda” and I think that initially Lily/Regulus genuinely didn’t like him as a person and that is what made him initially attracted to them. James is one of those “everyone loves him, he’s a literal ball of sunshine” people. But James is nothing if not a people pleaser so he’s always trying to be someone that people like and sometimes he’s not sure that the person he is, is real or just an act.

But they don’t like the person that he shows everyone (because they can subconsciously feel that something is off with James). And no one (excluding Snape and people he doesn’t like because he’s not performing for them) has ever told James that they don’t like him.

So he tries to win both of them over but it doesn’t work because he’s trying to win them over with this not-real-person side of himself and he only wins them over once they see the real James. So by not liking this fake person and seeing through his mask they’re inadvertently helping him learn how to be himself and not be putting on a show all the time.

The Maruaders have brought out their second album called 'Lionheart'. Fans begin to speculate who the boy in the album covers is and who James is writing about in these new love songs...

Incantation

The black velvet box sat on the table. In the scheme of things, it was innocuous, Sirius thought, given the curses and jinxes on other Black family heirlooms. 

Sirius clearly remembered the day his father presented him with the box and told him that all the sons of the House of Black received such a box, containing the engagement ring for their future wife. With a simple incantation, the plain band inside would become the ring of their fiance’s dreams. Even then, Sirius questioned whether he’d ever use it.

When Sirius finally regained access to his Gringott’s vault, he found it. He read the accompanying paperwork over and over. There was no stipulation in the spell that said it actually had to be given to a woman.Perhaps the Blacks never considered any alternative.

So he looked at it now, with Remus safely out of the house. He tapped it with his wand, saying the incantation clearly. The band was still for a moment before it began to grow small diamonds, and etched runes appeared along the sides, a moon and a paw print in the middle.

Sirius grinned, relieved. It was the perfect ring for Remus.
