I honestly can't remember if there was this scene in the anime, but in the manga, when they clear Trost of corpses, Annie walks among the bodies of dead comrades and apologizes to them. Look at that girl's face and try to tell me she doesn't care.

Yeah, I remember the whole situation with the Female Titan trying to capture Eren, where she spins one Scout like a damn yo-yo. What the hell was that. But honestly, all she wanted was to go home to her father, and after everything that happened to her, I understand why she was so ruthless in her quest to get Eren. She CAN be cruel. But, like, what were the other choices?

She is not heartless, she regrets, she cares. She just can't afford to let her emotions get in the way of returning home :C

I still can’t believe that there are some people around today who think Annie is soulless and doesn’t care for who she kills. Now it might be half-true, but aren’t you forgetting this scene with poor Marco?

This is her face when Reiner told her that they had to kill him for overhearing their secret.

She also went against having to be forced to take away Marco’s gear, and yes, she did so anyway because Reiner mentioned her father. But as you can see, her expression doesn’t lie.

Not only that, but she directly stared right at Marco’s crying eyes, pleading for her to stop, and she’s just as upset as he was.

(I hate seeing my boy like this 😭)

In this shot below, you can tell she was on the brink of tears having to watch him get grabbed and eaten by the upcoming titan, and to make it worse, she had a nightmare about this very moment.

Side note: Bertholdt looks very sad as well; not counting Reiner since he switched personalities.

So for anyone who continues to say Annie has no heart, I will like this to be reminder that it’s certainly not true and that she does have a small circle for those who grew on her.

So, I know that you told me that your fic was gonna be out at the end of the month, so I didn't wanted to bother you (cuz you seemed very busy with it) but i want to tell you something about it now cuz I feel I won't have the opportunity later.

So, after thinking it over carefully (with what you little told about it), it kinda reminded me of one of my favorite aot fanfiction: https://archiveofourown.org/works/53132365/chapters/134437144

It's not really the same, I mean, the principal concept idea is definitely different than what you have in mind, the only thing I could probably find the same is the boys identities getting discovered and the scouts not killing them after the reveal, and Hange being totally crazy about the boys. Still I feel the vibes are kinda similar with these two similitudes.

So what I'm trying to say is that, maybe you could get some inspiration from this fic for your own fic. If it doesn't work for you, well, at least you find a really good fic to read :] (seriously, I 100% recommend this fic, I freaking love it, it's hilarious and wholesome, and so are the other parts of the whole Titan Keeping series, so check the whole thing out!)

I just wanted to look at it to see how close it could be to what I have in my head. My ideas are quite different, but geez, I started reading and I have to stop myself because this “quick look” turned into getting to chapter 15 lolololol How fun to read this, so charming and silly, thank you for recommending it! Yea, I was confused why Annie randomly wakes up among other refugees after the Wall Maria destruction xD

I firmly believe that they simply didn't have the time/budget to include every scene from the manga. Which is to the detriment of some of the characters. For example, Gabi's motivation to specifically inherit the Armored Titan is lost. The anime doesn't have a scene where she talks to Reiner and expresses her desire to understand him and his feelings. Reiner, of course, doesn't talk about what happened to him on the island, so Gabi really wants to get his titan, and by extension his memories, so that she can understand him and sort of let him live through her. It's not just “Boo-hoo, I want the coolest titan so I can fight with stupid people and devils!" No, she truly loves and admires Reiner and wants to understand what he went through and carry on his legacy. But anime doesn't give us that C:

They really did Bertholdt dirty :C Not only we don't see how he doubts himself before destroying Wall Maria, but the scene when Magath praises him for passing the shooting tests and Bertholdt's all bashful about it was also cut out.

Look at his little blush and the surprise on his face that he succeeded at all.

Above that, when they leave Marley, none of the kids really look happy EXCEPT Reiner. In the anime, it's Reiner who seems gloomy, while the rest of them wave goodbye to the people at the port. They seem happy. In the manga, they are not like that, and Bertholdt even cries!

Just give him money for his dad's treatment and let him stay at home DAMN IT bghsijfrkgnmskld

I will never forgive all the plots and scenes from Marley that were cut in the anime :C

Forever mad at not being shown Reiner's nightmares. He dreams, among other things, about how the Colossal Titan was defeated in Shiganshina.

He has nightmares about how they abandoned Bertholdt to die, but the anime doesn't give a damn. Likewise, in the suicide attempt scene, he doesn't just thinks of Eren. He thinks about Annie and Bertholdt, and their famous “I'm counting on you” is literally one of his last thoughts before he decides to kill himself.

People who haven't read the manga then think that Reiner didn't care about Bertholdt because he barely mentions him in season 4. Or that Bertholdt was okay with everything that happens, while it looks like he didn't want to be on the island in the first place. ;/

I also don't know why they massacred the Wall Maria destruction scene so much. If I remember correctly the anime doesn't show or even mention how important Annie's role was in it. She passed out from exhaustion while leading the horde of titans and transporting Reiner and Bertholdt to the Wall. Because it was originally a task split between her and Marcel.

I understand that animation is much more expensive and sometimes there is no way out and certain scenes have to be sacrificed to fit within the budget/screen time. But come on :CCCC

There is progress! This beast is already 16 pages long in Word and almost doesn't sound like a complete chaos lolololol I swore to myself that I wouldn't devote so much thought and energy to this, but I betrayed myself, so... I dedicate almost every spare moment to this, and I hope to give it to Tumblr by the end of March at the latest!

I just got back from the cinema and MY WORLD, seeing AoT on the big screen was certainly an experience and an absolutely amazing one. I'm glad I saw it. I'm also glad I saw it at my sister's house first, because honestly, I wouldn't have made it through the entire screening through tears covering the subtitles and sinus pain from crying xD I almost didn't cry! But I could hear sobs in the cinema hall, bless those poor souls LMAO Before entering the hall they handed out thick cards with sketches of scenes and I GOT HANGE!!! LOVE THAT!!! They were also giving out free Schweppes lol

Today is Fat Thursday which is the best thing that can happen to a person living in Poland. I ate four huge pączkis (for free!!!), including one radioactive one - or at least that's what I called it, because it had neon green sprinkles so intense in color that they almost glowed and a pistachio filling that looked like mustard LMAO But it tasted good <3

Is it normal “haha, I have a casual idea for an AU” event?

I'm thinking in unhealthy amounts about kind of AU where Reiner and Bertholdt stay with Scouts after their reveal and are sort of adopted by Hange (the plushies to blame). I'm mostly writing down ideas about how this happened and what the consequences could be, although I don't have a big brain like Isayama's, so I'm cooking and will probably burn the stove LMAO but I want to get it out of my head and make it other people's problem.
